1861  Other / Meta / Re: How Many Years on Bitcointalk? Take the Poll! on: April 16, 2019, 12:03:49 AM
I joined the Bitcointalk forum in 2017, here I learned what it really means digital currency (Bitcoin), now I have a little understanding of the world of crpyto thank you Bitcointalk Forum
Me too, I joined here 2 years ago also but I wonder why your rank is still a Member? Are you not active and just visiting here for fun?

Actually, the year I discovered bitcoin is the same as the year I enetered here. From the eyes of the others, 2 years is just a small thing compare to the veterans here; yeah! It's true but I at least I'm now more knowledgeable and able to uplift my way of living compared before. So for those newbies and "newbie-like" memebers out there, do not give up. Study harder and push harder, I know that someday you will become great even not inside this forum but in crypto world itself Smiley.
1862  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best mobile crypto wallet? on: April 15, 2019, 10:25:23 AM
Any others to suggest and why?
Thanks and regards
Why don't you try mobile wallet app of Coinbase. Also, if you live within thr Southeast Asian region, best option would be coins.ph, that's the wallet I used for 3 years already Smiley.

First time hearing about coinomi since i'm not a fan of mobile wallet
Really? Well, it is a nice wallet which supports wide range of coins as well. I remember that I used it to store my CLAMS during my newbie days. Hooh! Time flies so fast Grin.
But I just want to ask if the coinomi provides the user their private key or not?
AFAIR, yes! The private key of your wallet is in yout hands. For more details, visit this link: https://www.google.com/amp/s/99bitcoins.com/coinomi-wallet-review/amp/
1863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Are You Done Buying Cryptocoins? I AM. on: April 15, 2019, 04:51:43 AM
2. Buying forever with no intent to ever sell.
What's the point then? There is no cycle at all if you are only going to buy. How can you make profits if you hold only? Hmm, if what you meant is having a long term investment then it will be clearer for the others Cheesy.
3. Still not purchased enough coins for your ship to come in.
I'm in this stage. Lucky for me that btc is not yet finished recovering, it can be considered good somehow because I still have some ample time to save coins. I'm aiming to save at least .01 btc for me to have a fund for my upcoming board exan (hopefully).
Staying on one coin or long term holding will cause you to miss the other opportunities.
I agree to you on the latter part, I admit that time and chances of earning are wasted if you hodl for a long time. But saying that staying in one coin tend to lose opportunities? Nah, I disagree. Like in my case, I only stick to btc (or eth sometimes) and yet I haven't experience bad situations so far. I never regret doing such thing because I am pretty sure that my future is safe with btc.
1864  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Sorry... Not Good At Hoarding Merits... on: April 14, 2019, 02:58:06 PM
So here is the thing, I've been trying to save my sMerits just for my thread Filipino Account Review, but I'm not getting any worthy applications to give them my sMerits. I feel sorry for what I did, I have just been a Merit Spammer right now. I feel ashamed for not being able to find good posts of my fellow humans here.

There are only few of them I see mostly active, and yet they're already on the High Ranks. Am I too strict on my own preferences on giving out my sMerits?
I feel you bro.

Ang kinakatakot ko lang baka kasi magkaroon sila ng bad impression dito sa forum and sa cryptocurrency (in worst case scenario) in general which is not good if ever happened because our community tend to diminish instead of expanding.

Edit: Congrats! cabalism13. Sr. Member ka na pala? Ang galing mo talaga, just keep up the good work Smiley.
1865  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Facebook to enter the browser market on: April 14, 2019, 06:23:31 AM
Well I won't be using it. I'm impressed with the Brave browser, which is another Chromium based browser like Chrome. It includes a Tor window as well.
I'm also impressed with Brave's performance. It is fast, user-friendly and also got simple but clean interface. Aside from its incognito mode, I also enjoys its AdBlock feature. Before I used UC Browser but after I heard that your accounts mails etc. are not safe there I shifted into this. So far so good, everybody should try it too Smiley

But I remember how they made Messenger successful. Their strategy was agressive. Initially sending messages was possible on Facebook app, but when they released Messenger, this feature was removed from Facebook app and people were forced to download Messenger app to continue chatting with their friends. Maybe they will make agressive marketing campaign to promote their browser also.
Their way of manipulating us really sucks. I just hope that their upcoming project will be really helpful and compact. It will be so annoying for me if I need to access their browser first in order to play videos on FB (Oops! I'm giving them an idea, sorry my bad Grin).
1866  Economy / Economics / Re: KakaoTalk to integrate a cryptocurrency wallet on app on: April 14, 2019, 03:53:50 AM
Not sure I would call them "one of the most popular". It has less than 50 million active monthly users, compared to WhatsApp's 1.5 billion, Facebook Messenger's 1.3 billion and iMessage's 1 billion.
It once become a global hit back on its prime days, I think 5 to 8 years ago. I still remembered that my classmates back in highschool oftenly use this app (along with Simsimi) because of its cute stickers which is very unique that time. But when Messenger upgraded and improve its aesthetic features, its fame suddenly faded away.

Anyway, I know that this is another good news again for us because crypto adoption is crypto adoption, it is significant no matter how small its is. I just wonder why? Why Kakaotalk is planning to have its own crypto wallet? I don't get it to be honest. What is the strong relation between messaging and financing? Hmm Huh.
1867  Other / Meta / Re: Dark theme for Bitcointalk(CSS only) on: April 13, 2019, 03:15:38 PM
No offense but my eyes are not comfortable while looking at this one. Don't get me wrong, black is my favorite color but when it comes to web interface I don't prefer it (I don't enjoy even the dark theme of Reddit) simply because I have a poor eyesight, Black text in brighter background is much better (IMO). Instead of picking dark theme of every site, I choose screen dimmer app to minimize the light emitted by my phone especially during night.

Nometheless, this is a good improvement. At least some users can now have options. Me? I'm already fine with the current version Smiley.
1868  Other / Meta / Re: Is Merit Requirement Per Rank Excessive? on: April 13, 2019, 01:08:28 PM
Oh! Is the merit requirements per rank excessive? Hmm, it depends.

If we are talking about Newbies up to Members then I will say NOT because getting 1 to 10 merits is easy in a sense that you know that it was feasible to achieve. On the other hand, for those Full Member and up, I think it is already excessive. The moment I heard that I need hundreds of merit first in order to rank up, it already makes my knees shaken up; the feeling that you are hopeless and just choose to surrender. Actually, sometimes I'm having an introspection and just came to the point where I tell to myself "Much better if I will be contented where I am right now" Grin (I know some members out there feel the same way).

I know to myself that I am a good quality poster somehow, I make sensible opinions and help others as much as I can and yet I'm still here, stuck as a Full Member. Yeah! I know that I was able to get some merits but those are not enough. While running these things into my mind, I became less motivated as time goes by (for ranking up only) which leads me to giving up my dream of becoming a Legendary. My dream of becoming one of the highest ranked member here is not all about getting more money through sig campaigns but mainly because of pride. I am aiming for such thing because I want to boost my self esteem, I want to feel that I'm significant even within my local board at least and pay forward of course by means of helping others especailly my fellow Filipinos. But unfortunately, I guess it remains a dream forever.

Nevertheless, no hurt feelings at all. I live under theymos' house (this forum), I live under his rules Smiley. I understand that fact. And besides, I already learned to embrace the system as I stay here so it's not a big deal for me any longer. Here's one thing, as long as I can see that Merit System is keeping our forum peaceful and do not hinder iall of its members to grow then there's no problem with me at all.
1869  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain hackable now ~ on: April 13, 2019, 07:00:55 AM
Just like what they say, no system is safe.
That was C.L.A.Y's famous tagline Grin.

Anyway, going back to the topic, every time I hear some news about hacking incidents everything is the same. Someone hack one's system, stole the coins and instantly vanish; end of story. But this one is very different because it's not a typical kind of hacking but a manipulation. The suspect/s got a very high volume of hash rate making them able to control half of supply of the coin. Hmm, actually i can't fully comprehend the meaning of double spend but it's amazing (alarming at the same time) to know that you can make a transaction from that specific amount of coin and use that amount of coin again for another transaction (am I right? Grin).
1870  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im a full Time Trader on: April 13, 2019, 04:00:44 AM
If you are a full trader for real, I doubt that you never earn. Because, in my case I'm just a part time trader and even is like that for being a part timer I got earned anyhow here. How much more the full time traders. Because if you monitor the graph, and the candlestick for sure you'll going to have an idea of when to sell or buy.
He earned of course (I also doubt that he didn't) but the problem I see in his case is that he didn't managed well the situation when btc drop hard that result to all of his earnings gone. So unfortunate Sad.

Check one of his post, I emphasized the important details.

<snip>

Means i trade at the screen 3-4 hours per day. In 1 hour sessions. Then learn and prepare offline 3-4 hours per day. No other job. Meticulous number keeping records.

I should count how many trades Im in executing daily. Maybe 50- 100 per day. I make money from every day except 3 days that BTC dropped hard and it gouged my account profits. My management of these risks needing improving.
1871  Economy / Economics / Re: The market starts looking real nice in Q2, 2019 on: April 13, 2019, 01:08:53 AM
Do you guys think we are going to the moon this year also or we have a long way to go before reaching the moon once more - that is it'll probably happen in the next 4-5 years?
Nah, it doesn't come inyo my mind right now. You know what, instead of stressing yourself predicting btc's future why don't you just enjoy what's in the present Smiley. Besides, doing some predictions don't bring you accurate outcomes so why minfing to do so? Such a waste of time (IMO).

If you are a daytrader much better to sell some, same thing is applied for the hodlers out there. And if you are an aspiring crypto investor then invest now while the rocket is not yet launching to the moon Grin.
1872  Other / Meta / Re: Thoughts on people that use this forum as income source? on: April 12, 2019, 08:27:13 AM
It is inevitable that this forum is used as a medium for promoting business, advertisements, and recruitments for businesses. This forum has the largest amount of users active around the world and this would be a great opportunity for people who are looking to share their knowledge about cryptocurrencies in general
Hey! how about Reddit? For sure they got more users than here Grin.

Anyway, going back to the topic, I understand if most of the members here use this forum to earn some money simply because job opportunities are present (like sig campaign and bounties). What do you expect? We just let such good opportunity slip away, of course not. Earning while learning at the same time is much better than learning alone right? However, it was a wrong mindset if a user just went here only for the sake of earning. That's
why I always tell to my friends or anyone who are willing to become a member here that the real purpose of this forum is to offer knowledge and not solely money. I do believe that money drives people crazy which is really true, best examples are the shitposters and spammers here who don't care for their misconduct as long as they are earning few bucks. seeking for money is not the right motivation, seeking for wisdom does.
The point is that if someone makes this forum the main source for making money (I myself use this forum to get pocket money), it doesn't matter as long as the person is able to manage the money well.
Yeah! That's a good thing but it has nothing to do to maintain the health of our forum. If you make money in this forum, you should not only manage your earnings properly but also become a role model here. Obey the rules at all times, engage with sensible discussions, contribute something based on what you can do and help your co-member even in your simple ways Wink.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UFC 236: Holloway vs Poirier 2 Info and Prediction Thread on: April 12, 2019, 12:10:44 AM
I am more interested with the Gastelum and Adesanya fight.
Both fighters have an edge but it looks like Adesanya have a bright future with UFC.
Me too, but I'm still looking forward for our main event of course Cheesy.

Regarding to that fight, I'll go for Adesanya because he is faster and more versatile fighter than Gastelum and you can really see his dominance on his every match thus making for him not impossible do it again against Gastelum. However, we can't still underestimate his opponent because he is more of a defensive player, the tables could turn once he found a proper timing.
Whenever he fights, I always think of watching Anderson Silva on his younger years. I just hope he will not be careless like Silva on his later fights in UFC where he fools around, that's where he got caught get KOd.
Silva and Adesanya got similarities but they're still way different from one another (IMO). Anyway, I hope the same thing. I love the "careless" style of Silva somehow because it is unique and it's really fun to watch counter punch KOs but this is not advisable at all because sloppy movements creates open spots in which you might get trouble.
1874  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: KYC challenges on: April 11, 2019, 09:00:55 AM
It is up to the company that asks for KYC, but if you are running a company and you want your customers to do KYC, a single pic with him holding his legal ID be it passport or driver license is sufficient enough it is needed for compliant but I'm not going to do this for any ICO.
[/quote]
We have the same sentiment regarding this issue mate Smiley. I am into KYC if it is only implemented for acquiring long term services of a particular company. The best example I could present is when I sign up to coins.ph (the digital wallet I used right now). I have no hesitations to tell them about my credentials (including my full name, address, birthday, government issued ID and my picture) because first and foremost, they are a trustworthy company and second, I understand that they need those parameters in order to reach out their customers when complaints occurred and as well as protecting their company against dirty transactions. But saying that it will be implemented for every ICO we join? Nah, I don't think it would be necessary at all because it absolutely makes as feel uncomfortable knowing the fact that our personal infos are handled by a team in which credibility still remains a question.
1875  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's Your Bounty Story? on: April 11, 2019, 06:31:49 AM
My bounty story so far is good, i joined in this forum in 2107 and in this forum I learned a lot and changed the wayto make money in cryptocurrency.
You know what, we're the same. I joined this forum way back 2017 as well and I may say that I'm doing fine until now. I'm just a little bit disappointed because I was supposed to rank up into Sr. Member that time but undortuantely Merit system already implemented. Well, past is past and no hurt feelings at all Grin. Actually, I support this system because it eradicates the cancers of this forum.

I'm definitely blessed to become part of this forum not only because I was a ble to earn here through sig campaigns but mainly because it improves me as a crypto holder. With the help of it, I learned to avoid nonsense HYIPs, faucets and airdrops, I learned to predict what's a shitcoin or not, I continue to learn about trading techniques and most importantly learn to become wiser when it comes to money talk.
1876  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What will you do when the market goes down? This is my advice on: April 10, 2019, 02:30:35 AM
I find that many people have a habit of holding ETH, BTC, altcoin for a long time and always hoping that it will rise again.
Mainly because they're just scared to risk their money since they knew that they might lose. Oh! "scared" is a harsh term, saying "playing safe" is better Smiley.
If you are a trader, you will lose money for that. Set small target and sell them when you see profits. I only need 3-5% profit when trading.
Of course because that's not a proper strategy for a trader, that was applicable for a hodler. Traders, whether daytraders or occasional traders, should be more aggressive and always keep an eye on the trend because if they're not then poor outcomes could happen, it could be either you lose opportunity to get profits or get losses (money below your capital).
1877  Other / Meta / Re: Would this be considered spamming? on: April 09, 2019, 11:03:31 AM
Aside from what coinlocket$ said, that Enjoy_My_Accounts sell illegal stuffs, I don't see any vioaltions from his actions. Yes ! I admit that what he did is somhow irritating (not ethical) on our eyes but we can't do anything about it, it's his own business. Maybe the least thing we can do is advice him to set schedules for bumping his  threads. For me bumping once a day is not necessary, once every 3-5 days works fine.
1878  Economy / Speculation / Re: I SMELL FOMO on: April 09, 2019, 01:29:22 AM
Oh! You made me look to CMC to check the price (it's been a while) and I can't believe it, the graph rise so high. What an uptrend Shocked. For me it can be considered a bull run already but the question is how long will it lasts?

Hmm, if you can invest now then do it because you might regret if you didn't Cheesy. Take risk if you can afford, who knows it will rise further and make lots profit from it. If I just have an ectra money right now, I will definitely convert it to btc without any hesitation because I can feel that the market is now in continuous recivery.
1879  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [Blockchain] The NEW Trend Companies Should Follow To Survive The Next 5 Years.. on: April 08, 2019, 11:46:06 PM
snip

There is no need to quote the OP. no?
Yup there is no need to quote the whole post, he should quoted what he only want to emphasize. Well, he did a small mistake and we hope he do better next time once he see our replies Cheesy.
Blockchain salesman says companies need to buy his product in order to survive in the next 5 year, lol.
I knew it! Another shill. I thought this thread would be all about the aoplication of blockchain but it wasn't that's why I didn't watch the video anymore.

If I were to make some bets, I would say that "blockchain technology" will be dead in 5 years, it will be treated as yet another failed experiment.
How much your bet? You might lose. Lol, just kidding. Anyway, I respect your opinion about that but I think it will not be dead after the next 5 years. If blockchain technology (bitcoin to be specific) able to survive starting from 2009 up to this date then for sure it will be stronger in the future.

Don't coonclude that blockchain technology is already a failed invention because it's no doubt that it gives us comfort and source of living. Besides, it's not yet in maturity stage (I think so).
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Does gambling sites needs to be a mobile friendly or not? on: April 08, 2019, 12:24:37 PM
of course, there are so many users outside which using a mobile phone more often than a pc or laptop.
So true, it's because mobile phones are cheaper but can still compete with the performance of laptops/PCs somehow. Mid ranged phones ranging from $10 to $20 are already good enough to browse the internet and even play games. For this reason, making crypto gambling apps is very possible it just need to be applied.

But I will not be biased regarding this one, I admit that there are still disadvantages whlie using it especially when it comes to the aesthetics. Since smartphones got small screens only, zooming in and zooming out while using such apps might be inevitable, technical difficulties in data connection is an issue, lags might experience as well. But nonetheless, it seems that everthing will flow smoothly; I'm just hoping that there would be a brave platform out there which will offer that kind of service and able to  maintain their good image for them to be entrusted by the many and sooner become strong competitors of famous gambling sites. It will surely be beneficial for all of us Smiley.
