1861  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: How to pay in bitcoins for new HP laptop? on: December 13, 2016, 03:42:50 PM
I would like to buy new laptop for bitcoins, could anybody explain to me how can I pay in bitcoins my purchase from HP official store (store.hp.com)?
Of course I can exchange bitcoins and pay in USD but I would like to pay in bitcoins.

Dell has been mentioned but you could also get discount by buying gift cards over at a site like https://www.zeek.me/ - they accept bitcoin payment i just saw it other day, pretty cool!   In the UK i can get laptop at a place like argos and would get 10% off this way.
1862  Economy / Gambling / Re: any PvP Bitcoin poker site? on: December 13, 2016, 10:43:15 AM
Bitcoin poker sites all have low traffic so it's better to play at a site that plays in fiat but accepts Bitcoin deposits.  I recommend America's Card Room.  The traffic is ok, the software is decent, but the rake is kinda high.  Be sure to get some rake back deal when you sign up.

With neteller and skrill you can play with bitcoin anywhere but its just nice to support games in pure BTC i guess.  Sites accepting BTC direct and then having games in fiat is halfway there i guess though, i should imagine you cant cashout in bitcoin at that site right?
1863  Economy / Gambling / Re: any PvP Bitcoin poker site? on: December 13, 2016, 09:53:14 AM
Well if you play PvP then most likely for every hand the cards are shuffled correct? Or else it would be very easy to cheat by counting cards, especially when you are doing it from home and nobody can tell what extra tech you have at your side.

You cant count cards for an online poker site or online blackjack site for that matter.  The counting only works IRL blackjack.  You can team up with other poker players and know what cards aren't coming, this does happen but most sites should police this pretty well.

I want to play poker(Texas hold'em) vs human players with Bitcoin, but I never did... Which are the most profitable and trusted sites for you guys?

I ended up trying out the ones that got suggested to me in this thread here:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1708779.msg17121804#msg17121804

Some sites have in browser play which makes it real easy to test.  Overall we need more players, some of the off peak times are a little thin on action.  Might be best off we had a BTC poker network and every site runs off that.
1865  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Skrill now lets you upload money via bitcoin on: December 11, 2016, 09:14:25 PM
Anyone able to confirm who they use to determine the value of BTC? A lot of places use things like "1% fee" but are using a processor that also has their own fee, such that you're paying far more.

Im guessing they are partners with coinbase or bitpay?

Can anyone confirm is the rate decent for funds upload, if they use finex rate 1% would mean nothing.
1866  Other / Meta / Re: If theymos dies ? on: December 11, 2016, 01:31:34 PM
It's a pretty serious question , I know they are all (theymos,BadBear & Cyrus) administrators but I suppose only theymos have control on the domain , host and everything else. Same question should apply for Sirius (who I suppose controls Bitcoin.org).
If there are no plans If and when that happens , wouldn't that make us (the bitcoin community) in a bad situation ?

Depends whats in his will doesn't it? bitcointalk.org is a business.
1867  Economy / Economics / Re: Why the big whales are not cashing out? on: December 11, 2016, 01:16:49 PM

The % of big whales cashing out is probably less vs normal persons cashing out.  To get into bitcoin in the first place for a large amount you have to be pretty serious about it and already smart/successful.  The average person is none of these things in reality and probably more flakey hopping from different things which catch their attention.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If satoshi had a premine on: December 11, 2016, 11:32:38 AM
pre-mine means significant amount of coins are generated before the code is released or mining is available to everyone like many altcoins. when bitcoin was released anybody could mine it if they wished to do so. as far as i know from at least second block.

e.g. Gulden has 170 million coins premined. (Ref.)

Yeah.  OP satoshi really didnt need to do a premine, crypto currency wasn't invented then nobody would have known to mine quick and early to make big money.  So satoshi just done a legit early mine and still come out with a large % of total coins.

Well it is easy to mine before, and take note they are just using a cpu to mine bitcoin. It will just take for Nakamoto a short time a huge number of coins. The difficulty in mining before is very easy and maybe if he is not the only one mining there are only a handful miners that makes mining so fast. Today the difficulty is a million times harder than before and so it is impossible for us to mine like the way they do.

Yeah but the point is there would be no need to trick people because it was a totally new concept anyway.  Nobody knew that bitcoin would be worth anything.  Its like me saying to you an idea to make money and you rushing off and doing that task based on just an idea - you wouldn't bother right.  Stasohi got to mine legit with no premine because we all didn't know how brilliant the idea was, its beautiful.

1870  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Is it safe to sell BTC for paypal here? on: December 11, 2016, 09:54:25 AM
I have read of some horror stories. Is it safe tho?

Paypal allows you to reverse transactions so its never 100% safe.  You can get it so its 99.9% safe though if you do the correct trade methods. Do your research.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 11, 2016, 09:52:28 AM
The owner of Leicester City is really not happy about their form in Premier League. Ranieri rested almost the whole 1st squad in last Champions League game to fully focus on Man City, I'm expect they really go out there and press their opponent like their did last meeting, take the advantage on the Man City's forward hole. They might not get the full point but they could avoid to be humiliate. Leicester +1.5 @ 1.4

I think he will be much happier after that performance.  All leicester really need to do this season is have a good CL run and stay in the prem and its a success.  They have marhez and vardy its impossible for them to go down unless these 2 get injured.
1872  Other / Off-topic / Re: Any Legit ways to make money online? on: December 10, 2016, 05:11:11 PM
Generally it is considered that the best way to make money on the internet, it is to organize your project. Even personal sites are more profitable than to be hired to work for someone and do it for pennies.

If you can outsource you can make more.  You can only outsource if you have a way to make profit though.  90% of people probably fail like anything else and be stuck in a real job.
1873  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: England Championship Prediction Thread... on: December 10, 2016, 05:09:16 PM
Newcastle United vs Birmingham I will pick Newcastle United @1.45 even they don't have good form but with the help of home ground they can get back their confidence by winning this match, Birmingham also lost recent that is why I am pretty sure Newcastle United will get recover easily into this clash.

Good pick i also had newcastle. Gayle now has 16 goals in 16 games in league, pretty impressive and hes defo premier league class.  Cant see any other team winning this league.

Great win for arsenal, ozil scored a class header:

1875  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread (EPL) on: December 09, 2016, 10:21:51 AM
Mourinho will probably get sacked if he doesn't deliver a respectable ranking on the leaderboard for Manchester United this season. I don't think he cares much about the Europa League competition. United have a lot of troubles in the Premier League and if Mourinho continues to lose points the club chairmen will give him the boot very soon.

And the question if he get sacked is, Who will replace him? difficult to now look for a coach who has enough experience and are unemployed, because if remembered, almost all elite coaches own a club each. And I think the best way is to give an opportunity for Ryan Giggs to finish this season.

Either that manchester united will force ryan giggs to take the position or that they will seek for another replacement however there are some rumours spreading that the board management has seek audience with fabio capello just as a precautions if mourinho cant give them any tropht this season
I think it's just rumors, I am still confident Mourinho will retain management although no trophy. We all know, when the club dealt with mourinho always gets the spotlight news, it is very advantageous from a financial side, so that the value and selling the costumes.

Guys not a chance mourinho goes anytime soon.  1.)united aren't playing that bad they have mostly been unlucky.  2.)zlatan loves mourinho and united need zlatan probably more than any other player right now.
1876  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Best current site to play some small stakes poker cash games? on: December 09, 2016, 10:18:38 AM

Best site to play some small stakes poker cash games? I got some time to pass and want some juicy games.  Im thinking low stakes BTC games will be way better than fiat sites like stars?

I want somewhere quick to deposit and withdraw, no hassle. Smiley

If u r OK with non-poker games with quick deposit and withdraw, then try pure blockchain based games, e.g. https://www.chain-bet.com

He asked for Poker. Chain-Bet wont suite his taste... Smiley

Yeah i am just looking for poker right now.  Im guessing chain-bet neutral ev kinda game, dunno.

Will be checking out other suggestions today, pretty impressed there is a whole btc poker eco system going, would like to see it larger:)

I am a regular poker player in fortunejack site and till now i have never faced any problem with deposit and withdrawal and even now they have upgraded their poker site with extra security and now the table is running clean without any bot running. As i have not tried any other site for bitcoin poker so i can only recommend fortunejack where i am regularly playing

Yeah just signed up there and try to give it a whirl.  While it looks really great i kept finding the browser took a while to load each table and then i got error/invalid.  Will try back again tomorrow, looking forward to getting going. Smiley

1879  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Arbitrage possibilities with the indian exchanges on: December 08, 2016, 07:33:49 PM
The exchange opperators themselves would be doing the arbing if there is huge profit in it vs actually running the exchange.  I did often wonder in the past if BTC-e did this.
