1881  Economy / Auctions / Re: [Auction] Silver Wallet - You pick! on: May 04, 2015, 08:39:32 PM
The coin with the gold trim is more valuable.  I don't understand which coin these guys are bidding on.  Is it one auction for any of the three?  Why would anyone pick a coin other than the one with the gold?
1882  Other / Archival / Re: Help Me Plz? on: May 04, 2015, 08:35:36 PM
I can certainly write this for you but at the moment your request is too vague.  Do you want an html page with javascript?  Do you want a command-line program?  Etc ...?

Why not PM me and offer some BTC Smiley
1883  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Bitcoin from Shell Script. Loading block index duration on: May 04, 2015, 08:31:20 PM
Code:
reply=`bitcoin-cli mycommand`
while echo $reply | grep -q "Loading block index..."; do
  sleep 10
  reply=`bitcoin-cli mycommand`
done

But you should probably use a json parser and make something cleaner.
1884  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcoin donate button on: May 04, 2015, 08:14:52 PM

That said, I saw lots of notes that the Blockchain.info API was not working properly for them - depending on what you making by "it doesn't work". See e.g.:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1047537.0
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1048656.0

Indeed, this is waaaay too vague for anyone to be able to help you.  OP, you're going to have to fill in the details if you want help.

Anybody use strategy to autobet martingale ?
you can try it but it wont work for long and you will loose your money

+1. No strategy will work in the long run when there is a positive house edge in the game. No matter how safe it looks to be, you will eventually hit a seemingly impossible rare event.

Assuming that the distribution is fair then you're basically correct.  There's no winning strategy in the long run or the outcomes wouldn't be random.  BTW, watch out for the guy trying to push the coin-stealing malware on pd users.  It's been getting spammed around the forum recently.
1886  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account on: May 04, 2015, 08:06:45 PM
I guess you're right.  I haven't actually tried to figure out which accounts on here are farmed.  I had assumed that account farmers would be using scripts but perhaps you're correct that they're doing things "the old-fashoned way".
1887  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: May 04, 2015, 08:00:24 PM
Hi, what about mac client ?  Smiley
Even if Micon leaves the team, I am guessing the rest of the teach team will still work on that. Anyways the priority for development should be more for the online client to cater to everyone.

Hopefully this is true (I can't imagine why it wouldn't be).  Also, hopefully the order is still Android client coming out next.  Smiley
1888  Economy / Gambling / Re: SwCpoker.eu | No Banking, Only Bitcoin | Bitcoin Poker 2.0 LIVE NOW! on: May 04, 2015, 06:14:36 PM
To put it in another context, everyone here seemed to be perfectly OK with Micon playing on SwC before the charges. To me playing on his own site is a much more serious thing to worry about.
Maybe now he needs the money. He might start playing on his own site against the players, through another account . You guys might want to be careful while playing now.

He's scammed people on SwC all along, do people not really know about it? It's been proven a long time ago the RnG in SwC is rigged and Micon skims off the top. He's a serial scammer, stop supporting him.

The thing is when you provide proof no one can deny the facts can they. You are not providing proof though are you just an opinion of what you think 'might' be happening which is quite far from the truth. He would have 0 reason to steal a little short term and destroy his rep over pennies when if he makes it to success he will be earning pounds, won't get there scamming though and he is not stupid. Proof or it never happened.

Proof? Sure... he needs money "donated" for his legal defense of a crime (which he committed, it's not even in question. It doesn't matter if you agree with the law(s) or not, they are the laws and he broke them, hence he is a criminal) but yet is going to continue to GAMBLE his money (or rather, the donated money) on his addiction. If he were a world class poker player that regularly made a profit and could live off of his earnings, that would be one thing, but the fact that he has been unable to live off his winnings to this day is evidence that his poker skills are pathetic. He needs people to bankroll him because he can't win enough to bankroll himself. Now he's asking for donations for a legal defense when he should be using that money he's throwing away on poker for said defense.

If that's not the definition of a scam artist, then I don't know what is.

What I don't understand is the motivation of this guy to be trolling on Micon.  For one thing, it's not so clear to me that being a spokesman and poker pro for an online poker house is illegal.  However, isn't this exactly what the trial is there to consider?  Anyway, what's behind this animosity?

I was just messing around...everyone on the forums is so serious lately. I was hoping it might make someone crack a smile. Sorry if you though I was directing it at you though.

It's all good, of course it's good to have a laugh.  But I know that I'm not finding QS's smear-campaign against my reputation very funny.  I suppose that others who have suffered similar issues would feel the same.

I really think he will remove (or maybe better to neutral) the negative trust, but I do not know what you should do. Perhaps you have to repay $usernam aka TF.

Not an option.  I never took any money from TF so there's nothing to repay.  He essentially tried to blackmail me and say that I owed him "everything I had ever withdrawn" from his service.  If I had been able to have some kind of reasonable conversation with TF back then then we might have been able to figure out just where the misunderstanding was.  However, he was not interested in talking, he was interested in having his demands met and I wasn't going to submit to blackmail.  History revealed him as a scammer and has revealed me as a regular guy who doesn't make trouble.  Now, ask yourself this, why I am I going to pay a blackmailing scammer some arbitrary amount of money in order to have a troll on default trust say that "I'm okay in his book"?  That would be an absolute disregard of principle and I'd rather leave the false accusation from Quickseller up there alongside TF's false accusation than pay them money to take them down.  Given the way he treats people, I'm pretty confident that we'll be finding Quickseller on the trashbin of history alongside TF in the future.  For people like me who aren't doing anything wrong, it's best just to let the theives and criminals and hotheads burn themselves out.
1890  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller left himself positive trust using an alt account on: May 04, 2015, 06:02:02 PM
The only people I am making trouble for is scammers. I didn't actually leave myself positive trust, not only that but doing so wouldn't even make any sense because the account that left me positive trust is likely on no ones trust list.

His spreadsheet does sum up everything very well

I can't speak for everyone else but I know that I've never scammed anyone and you have stirred up a shitload of annoyance and trouble for me which was only motivated by the fact that you didn't like that I called you out for your quick temper and hotheadedness.  You then turned that hotheadedness against me and trolled me with an alt account and then used the lies of a known a scammer as "evidence" that I did something wrong over 2 years ago.  You then left trust spam on my account neg-repping me multiple times from multiple accounts.  What you did to me would be absolutely laughably sad if it weren't that you're on default trust (for the moment).

So, what you just said above is patently untrue.  I'm not worried though, your reign of terror won't last for very much longer.

I was just messing around...everyone on the forums is so serious lately. I was hoping it might make someone crack a smile. Sorry if you though I was directing it at you though.

1891  Economy / Securities / Re: [CRYPTO-TRADE] Crypto-trade.com IPO and official thread! on: May 04, 2015, 05:46:36 PM
Some good information has been dug up by the users on this thread and I do believe we should create a program to aggregate it all.

I did lose some money with Crypto-Trade but the bigger picture is if this continues to happen people will start to be put off by exchanges although they are a vital part of the crypto-currency eco-system

I have several projects ongoing at the moment but using my past work experience I will part time start to build-up a system to better make us of the information people are puling together.

Great work

They are never coming back ..

I agree.  I can't see why they would come back.  If the guys bumping this thread have actual info about who/what/how to get money back from these scammers, it would certainly be welcome, but I don't know how to put the "good work" that they are referring to into any use.
1892  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller left himself positive trust using an alt account on: May 04, 2015, 05:44:53 PM

Actually this is just Blazedout419 trying to rickroll us.   I'd have expected something a little more serious from him.  Blazedout419, you probably will think this stuff is less of a joke when Quickseller eventually goes after you and tries to ruin your reputation without cause.
blazed has a spotless record both here and in IRC. I have traded with him a number of times and have trusted him with a good amount of money.

Actually now that I think about it, he is one of two people that I had sent first when trading with, everyone else I made them either send first or use escrow.

I would personally be surprised if blazed was ever involved in a scam.

That's fine.  You vouch for him.  I've got no problem with blazedout either.  I did business with him in the past as an advertizer for SliverWallets (unless I'm confusing him with someone else).  The issue here is him making light of the trouble you're making for other people.
1893  Other / Archival / Re: Quickseller accuses me without proof!? on: May 04, 2015, 05:19:30 PM
Probably a neutral trust from quickseller explaining the issue would have been better........

Dodging the deal after suggested escrow is a good reason for a red flag, if QS has evidence that accounts are linked/alts of one another, then -iver is justified.
But i don't agree its ok to flag anyone without evidence. Since reputation is public, negative comment is public, then so should evidence proving claim also be public, and not something held back.

It's quickseller's mo.  He doesn't feel that he needs evidence.  He goes after the people he wants to go after and considers himself to be some sort of amateur detective at it.  He went after me without ever having done any trading with me and he tried to ruin my reputation with exactly 0 evidence.
1894  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller Gave me a negative trust Without Considering any possibility on: May 04, 2015, 05:17:32 PM

Actually, he's just rickrolling the forum.  It's too bad he's making light of a serious situation.

1896  Other / Meta / Re: Bitcointalk account on: May 04, 2015, 05:12:37 PM
Not sure if it's still true today but a while ago, the number of bot accounts actually outnumbered the genuine accounts:

http://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934827

And having so many useless accounts on a forum can in fact make the database large. Not sure about SMF but back when I managed a phpBB board, it was definitely the case.

Most of that discussion centers around spambot accounts but farmed accounts for selling are almost certainly a part of this mix.
1897  Economy / Gambling / Re: Primedice.com | Most Popular & Trusted Bitcoin Game | Huge Community | Free BTC on: May 04, 2015, 04:25:30 PM
Will accepting altcoins make a difference?

Probably it will , as altcoin that arent regulated yet might be consider just as a token or like monopoly money. Although some countries specifically banned online gambling so it will not make a huge impact for some country

Is that the reason why JD is using clams because it is allowed in US? I don't understand the reason behind this suggestion.

Tried to dug for old post and I found this post describing what happened to JustDice and the reason of it accepting clams
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=238613.msg9853803#msg9853803, I think this posts sum up on what happened at JustDice

Couldnt find anymore relevant post regarding this , perhaps you can ask dooglus personally about this

Ah.. I see. I think I get it somewhat now, since some of the altcoins cannot be yet exchanged directly to USD, they're overlooked by concerning authorities (for now), even when they are used in a Casino.

Right, everything that can be traded into fiat is usually regulated. So to avoid things being regulated one might switch into other coins just like JustDice with its clams. For Primedice cases, I dont think that they might be switching into altcoins as I believe the US players just a small fraction from their regular players .

-snip-

Thankyou for this posts Lorenzo !

While you guys aren't wrong that a switch to some altcoin or another might help to make Stunna feel better about some potential future regulation, I think it's a non-starter for him because he's been adamantly against altcoins in the past.  I remember one of his ads on this forum had the tagline "No, we still don't accept __coin."  Ie, he's a bitcoin only guy.  The other thing is that he seems to have quite a thriving business and his move seems preemptive.  Ie, he's in no trouble yet and he's simply making moves to ensure he doesn't have any future trouble down the road.

1899  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How to convey transaction to network on: May 04, 2015, 04:12:57 PM
Yeah, I don't know how to write the WebRequest object in .Net to send to the push URL at blockr.  Having trouble with the encoding and stuff.

Blockchain.info has a sweet API for .Net - but then they go and block OP_Return.  Why do they block OP_Return?  That is totally stupid.  Does any other blockchain API providers have a nice .Net code on GitHub?

Holy shit this is hard.

I don't understand what .NET has to do with it.  If you're using that blockchain API, can't you just use HTTP POST.  Programming language shouldn't matter should it?
1900  Other / Meta / Re: Quickseller Gave me a negative trust Without Considering any possibility on: May 04, 2015, 01:39:51 AM
As long as BadBear trusts him nothing can be done.

Not true. If 2 other people on the default trust list exclude him, then he will no longer be in the default trust network.

Just saw this (somehow I missed it in an earlier read of this thread).

If I understand this correctly it means that if any two people on default trust write

~Quickseller

then he is excluded?

Is that actually correct?

Yes. No. of persons who exclude must be greater than number of people who add him. If 1 more person in trust depth 1 add him, 3 people in trust depth will have to exclude him.

Hey, thanks MZ, is this somewhere in the trust thread and I didn't see it?  How did you know this?
