1881  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Joe's Signatureless Challenge: Win $25 + 8 Merits every week! (Round 6) on: April 16, 2018, 11:20:01 AM
I have been away with sickness and electricity issues for nearly 3 weeks now.
However, I am back now and I am distributing the merit points that I have promised here. So far here are the qualifying posts that I liked :

Media is funded by strong/powerful interests, the same interests that doesn't want decentralization to happen.

Fortunately it reached to a level where it is impossible for anyone to stop right now.

Some people criticizes Mr. Satoshi for not revealing his identity. But he was smart enough to know that he seriously didn't want to do that. Some people say that you can kill the messenger but you can't kill the message. Myself trying to survive in Venezuela right now know exactly what it means. In this case they can't get the messenger or the message, since it's decentralization and mysterious nature of the creator make it impossible to do.

Bitcoin was created using the greatest level of intelligence possible. It's the closest to perfection human kind can aspire, for now.

Bitcoin will end when the big amount of people who believe in it stops doing it. There are a lot of us who are not supporting it for money reasons only or at all.

This currency is changing the world, but what is happening right now it's nothing in comparison to what will happen in the future.

Just like Henry Ford said: "It is well enough that people of the nation do not understand our
banking and monetary system, for if they did, I believe there would be
a revolution before tomorrow morning."

I discovered bitcoin while studying about how to protect my privacy on the internet.

Crytpocurrencies and privacy and closely related. This way many people here care about privacy, however I still see many users in this forum who are not using basic privacy tools, like an ad block.

This simple guide is for those people.
...
(This was a really good post)

This is exactly the kind of FUD, coupled with that Singaporean exchange FUD, that pushes the price lower... Ugh why do they do this?

But Okay, I read the article, and your post is misleading. Your post is more FUD than the article LOL.

Google is not banning Crypto ads....

(This one might be before he applied for this campaign but its a very important point that he's put across, people spreading FUDs)

....

While I agree with most of what you said, I do not agree with this part :

Bitcoin was created using the greatest level of intelligence possible. It's the closest to perfection human kind can aspire, for now.

Bitcoin in all it's glory is not the most perfect thing humans have done so far, only pure mathematics comes close to that recognition. Bitcoin and in a large sense most other cryptocurrencies are variably flawed in execution, planning or perhaps even in their structure. Which is one of the reasons why we have SO MANY FRIGGIN CLONES!

1887  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendster's Rep thread of Bitcointalk on: April 15, 2018, 11:01:04 PM
Just would like to inform you guys that Legendster has been out of electricity for a few hours and will get back to you ASAP.
He is working really hard to fix this matter in order to get back online!

Thanks guys! Really appreciate it!

Not only was my power down, but my physical health was in turmoil during these 2 - 3 weeks. Long story short, if my situation worsened any further I'd have required an invasive surgery (although minor). I regularly had a constant fever of 101 degrees for over 8 - 9 days so I was not able to sit on my computer.

I am using this post to sincerely apologize to everyone who were stuck with me during this time or were expecting something from me, whether that was work, messages or anything else.
1888  Economy / Reputation / Re: Legendster's Rep thread of Bitcointalk on: March 24, 2018, 11:06:30 AM
Have done trading twice with him. He is a genuine and fast trader.
Your activity is one, how you done trading with him?

Not that it's any of your business. The deal was done on Localethereum.

If you're okay with Indian accents, then try www.invensis.net. They've got a pretty good track record with tech processes. They regularly deal with clients out of EU / NA. But getting a full on telephonic CS maybe an overkill for an ICO. You'd be better off with Zendesk.
1891  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Explanition video for my website on: March 23, 2018, 10:00:53 AM
Price too low.

it depends to video quality and output i'm willing to pay more...ask the price.

A standard animated explainer would cost you between $200 - $300 for 90 sec. This isn't just my rate, most freelancers would charge you this amount. Also note that this is for custom animation, no cheap Goanimate / Renderforest stuff.
1892  Economy / Services / Re: need video "how to play" on: March 22, 2018, 06:58:53 AM
I think you need to make up how much you will pay for the video clearly.

Secondly, you can't ask them to gamble using that money because it is not free money instead you should send those coins to their address and if they prefer to play then up to an individual.

If you don't get anyone to do here then your next best option is Fiverr. There you can get many people to this kind of videos.

Yes, I will send money for gamble.

I don't know how much cost it.. Need cheap Smiley

Ok, Thanks.

If you need 'cheap' go to sites like freelancer.com where you will get 1000's of pinoys ready to work away at your whim at slave rates.

What he did : Found out about a deal between me and silverleafy
Probably from the conversation we had here : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3149223.msg32560812#msg32560812

These are the phishing attempts :

Sergey has confirmed, he has no idea who this guy is. Waiting for him to confirm this here as well. Once that's done, will lock this thread.

-update-

Sergey never followed through any deal - I never escrowed any amount for him.
1895  Economy / Services / Re: [Mining contract] 144 MH Ethereum Classic (1$ per hour) on: March 22, 2018, 05:41:43 AM
Probably because they have something better to do
Actually some DT members are specifically tasked with scam busting. THAT is their job to do. And no, they don't have anything better to do.

OP is not claiming any profit per hour so i would not consider it "exactly" a scam, although highly unmoral.

OP could not be mining at all. Also, its "immoral".

Yeah I send him $1 and then he send me the pool link wih my etc address and I only mined $0.28 then he ignoring my email.

As a Full Member, you should aknowledge that you won't make any out of this.

Insanity Is Doing the Same Thing Over and Over Again and Expecting Different Results. Scammer asks for free money. Dolts provide free money.

Also, it's 'acknowledge'.
1896  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: what advice? on: March 22, 2018, 05:26:43 AM
I am not reccomend you trade crypto till you get a lot of practice in that markets or you will loose a lot . Try to read books and watch youtube traders blog , you will known a lot about , but also you need teach a lot about blockchain technology too , because its not reason to trade something and do not known about that !

This is bad advice.

The YouTube videos are mostly made to benefit the creators in terms of views.

My guess is most of those creators don't actually own any Bitcoin or crypto, they just make their revenue by the amount of views they get on YouTube.

There's a difference between an educated guess and just shooting in the dark, I am assuming your guess is the later one? I personally know one youtuber who makes a few thousand dollars a year and has a considerable investment in a variety of crytpo assets.
1897  Economy / Services / Re: Forbes publication on: March 21, 2018, 10:50:05 AM
About the escrow:
We are fine with a 100% prepayment and they are no reasons to use third-party services.
Also, I'll come back to you with the references and a link for a Forbes publication very soon:)

Cheers

What do you even mean by that? Off course you would like 100% prepayment, but from a buyer's perspective, it is not safe. You are fine with it, but since you are a newbie with no trade history, it is not recommended that someone should send you any money in advance.
Even if you had a few trades, dealing without escrow is essentially the same thing as asking to be ripped off (from the buyer's perspective).

PS: I haven't called you a scammer. But scammers are the ones who avoid using escrow, leaving the buyers in vulnerable situations. By refusing to protect the buyer, you are essentially doing the same thing as every con artist on the forum has done before you. I hope you understand.

PPS :
You haven't clarified on this yet. Why did you claim the last date was passing by soon but you're still here taking orders for late March?

Since I see no apparent link between Divyesh Mistry and OP, it would be too soon to call this an alt of Divyesh.

I am curious, why did OP delete this post : https://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:O0WNH5da2l0J:https://bitcointalk.org/index.php%3Ftopic%3D2979937.0+&cd=1&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=in

And why is he still offering this service? According to that post, the last date for late March publication is already over.
Am I interpreting this wrong?

1898  Economy / Services / Re: Forbes publication on: March 21, 2018, 08:59:49 AM
So I spoke to the guy pretending to be interested in becoming a customer. In reality all I wanted to know was find out if he is going to accept an escrow.
Seems like he will keep on repeating the same thing over & over again and refuse to accept escrow.

So there you go, OP refuses to accept escrow, hides behind fairly empty linkedin profiles. OP seems to be Russian / Belarusian, so not related to Divyesh (probably).

OP's website does seem legit from the outside, while this sting op did not reveal to me any scammy behaviour, I'd still recommend everyone to practice extreme caution when dealing with a newbie with no trade history and someone that refuses to accept escrow and chooses to hide behind excuses.
