Currently, I have 10 Bitcoin in my bitcoin wallet which I have downloaded from news.bitcoin.com, anyone has an idea about how to make the transaction from it? because whenever I use bitcoin to make a transaction it only let me send my 10 BTC back to my wallet? still can't figure out how to spend those 10 bitcoins? anyone have an idea or used the same wallet before too?
I doubt that you have 73,000$ worth of bitcoins. If you did, you wouldn't be asking this question. Anyone with that kind of money to invest would do their due diligence way before putting in their money blindly. Anyways. The wallet from News.Bitcoin is not a webwallet its a classic Bitcoin wallet with Bitcoin Cash support. When you say this : " whenever I use bitcoin to make a transaction it only let me send my 10 BTC back to my wallet"Could you make sure your grammar is better because I didn't get what you meant here. Did you enable multisig? Be more descriptive about the problem and maybe we can help you, other wise its simply putting in the address and hitting the send button.

This remembers me of a quote from Otto von Bismarck: “Only a fool learns from his own mistakes. The wise man learns from the mistakes of others.” I don't see a reason to make mistakes if dozens of people already have made them. Visiting this forum and asking for an advice is a way better way of learning something than to make mistakes and trying to repair them afterwards. Dear Bob, If you think making your own mistakes and learning from them is "foolish" then you are calling all of us old-timers fools. Back when I started most of these "new" problems didn't even exist. I guess it all boils down to the differences between sheep and pioneers. Dear bob, the whole point of making your own mistake is to learn from them so you remember what your mistakes were. If learning from other's mistakes just by reading or watching them were enough then the world would be overrun with doctors and lawyers. As far as OP's problem is considered I do believe this issue has been solved and I would request OP to lock this thread.

Hi, I know the risk when I delete my wallet.dat, all my privkeys are gone if they are not backuped. But on empty wallets it's no problem to delete the wallet.dat because there aren't any funds on it.
My question is, when I delete the wallet.dat, will Bitcoin Core generate a new one for me or will there be thousands of error messages ?
Greetings Emil
Like others have already explained. Your wallet will re-sync and reverify everything on startup if the DAT file is messed with. If you want to double check simply move the dat or rename it and see what happens. Make your own mistakes and learn. Good luck

Looks like this is a different token called BTCtalkcoin (TALK). OP is talking about BTALK, similar name but totally different token It looks like this coin is very active, I see a lot of transfers being carried recently and people seem to use it but I don't see it listed on any exchanges so, it's value is 0. Maybe theymos is indeed implementing a new token for this forum to use as payment. I don't see why somebody else would create it, but maybe that's just my logic. I really doubt its even a Theymos project. If it was it'd be public knowledge by now. Could be a practice project. It just token that created for fun We created the Bitcointalk Token in 3 minutes just for fun. We just want to show you guys how easy and cheap to create a token. Bitcointalk Token: Ticker: BTALK Total Token: 10 Billion Format: Erc-20 Contract Address: 0xfc3dd0b1808ed23ab7f1657264dd6c9d0cb38782 Block address: https://etherscan.io/token/0xfc3dd0b1808ed23ab7f1657264dd6c9d0cb38782How to get BTALK token: Send 0 ETH to contract address 0xfc3dd0b1808ed23ab7f1657264dd6c9d0cb38782, and you will get 1000000 BTALK for free. Disclaim: Bitcointalk Token was created for fun and not affiliated with Bitcointalk Forum. +Merit Good digging job mate!

Hi, I'm sorry but I don't have the patience nor the time to respond to literally 25 PMs.
That said, you were removed from the Signature Campaign in week 1 for only making 5 posts.
So, I gave you a chance, and you let me down by not fulfilling your obligation.
Why would I put you back in my Signature Campaign? That would be like shooting myself in the foot.
If you check the latest spreadsheet, your name isn't listed (for the reason I mentioned above).
Finally, you didn't even change your Signature to the new one (the main focus of this Campaign) so accepting you again is 100% out of the question.
Jeez take it easy buddy! I didn't send you 25 PM's so might want to double check your facts. I was "offline" and I came back roughly 48 hours ago. Forget your posts or your new signature or old one I had no clue and I came clean and I asked you nicely about my options. My message was terribly tiny and to the point. And no you do not owe me a nice reply back although that would have been the courteous thing to do, something people are rather less likely to be these days I guess. Anywho, do take care.

I've already added 6 new participants (that's 40% new participants) for this Campaign, and may add more.
Dude. I joined in the beginning but due to some reasons, I was not able to be online here. I returned yesterday and I sent you a PM unsure whether I could retain my spot or not. I am still to hear back from you. The old sheet still has my name on it, albeit it's in red. So if you could clarify whether I am still in or out that'd be great. PS: Don't worry about my signature, even if I am out I'll continue to wear this until I am willing to join another campaign. Good luck with this one, you are doing a fine job of weeding out the spammers.

Linking merit to any form of financial gain would be a disaster.
If the forum wants to reward forum activities such as moderation, then they should, and probably do, reward these activities directly with Bitcoin payments.
Micro payments in Bitcoin is not even a thing any more. Its just not feasible. I personally do not think that this is such a bad idea, I mean if you have the people that are generating good content for you - content that in turn is attracting a lot of eyeballs, then those people should (and take it with a pinch of salt) be rewarded for their efforts. Just my opinion.

Let me tell you what Theymos would say. "The forum does not need any more money" Case closed. As for the appeal for the OP. Corporate account? Cor-kissMyass Go BS somewhere else. You lost that account. Deal with it. Get a new account and pray to your god that it doesn't get detected. Good luck

Anyone can create any token under using any name LOL I can pay someone to create token named mdayonliner or legendster and they can do it in no time. Don't get too excited or too confused I KNOW that my friend. Neither am I excited nor fooled. The question / point was - there WAS a talk of awarding merit earners with money. Now I haven't even tried to earn meit so it doesn't even apply to me, but it'd be cool to know if it actually has any link to that talk. It is a no brainer that if Theymos did anything like a BTALK token then he'd make it official and would rather ASK people to submit their wallet addresses instead of backdoor dropping shit coins like these. I am more curious to find out who did it and whether that "talk" actually headed anywhere.

Never mind the translations, I think bounty and ICO promotions should be kept in the underworld here, and not be allowed on the local of general boards.
Then that would beat the whole purpose of having a bounty and promotion in the first place. Mainstream social media shuns these advertisements, if we too do that how would the companies ever end up promoting the projects?

Well that was my reaction when I found out that one of my inactive wallets have 10k BTALK coins. A simple google search lead me to this contract page : https://etherscan.io/token/0xfc3dd0b1808ed23ab7f1657264dd6c9d0cb38782Now I seriously wonder who is behind this idea? Is this actually going to be a part of that "reward for Merit" gimmick that Theymos was talking about?

The level of idiocy in this thread is unfathomable. Some of you guys give a bad rep to Bengalis. Seriously, can't you use your heads or at the least read up before asking really really weird questions?

What about the deals happening on this forum ? Any experience with that ?
Deals on this forum are still going on fine. All you need to find is a trusted escrow holder or deal with a trusted person in the first place.

Hello everyone,
I am new to the forum. I have a concept for a new blockchain system. I would like some advise / consultancy from someone who is a guru and can quickly answer any questions that I may have.
I am willing to pay for this task. If you can, please leave your charges in this thread and I will get in touch with you. Thanks a lot.
Looking for someone who knows everything about blockchains including creating Bitcoin / Ethereum from scratch in a language of choice provided he / she had the time.
Without taking names, I can tell you that such all-rounders are generally not available for cheap. You are more than likely going to need help from multiple people even if you get one such guru onboard. The fact that you need one guy to answer all your questions actually tells me that maybe you yourself do not have the grasp and understanding of how the underlying JS structure of blockchain works. IMO the best way to approach an expert would be at first to seek advice from them rather than trying to hire them. Scour this forum under the project development section there are many experts there that only stick to that board. Reach out to them with a pitch. If your project is interesting, they will revert back. Good luck

Scams happen and they'll keep happening unless the market is regulated by RBI or any Govt body. Even then you can't put an end to all the scams. They have been in happening in Indian stock market for a long time. I just hope that this doesn't add anything negative while deciding the future of cryptocurrency in India.
I really wish that decision the decision comesagainst the crypto ban in India.
The same why you are saying is true that in stock exchange also so many scam are happening but even then they are running the show And same is happening in cryptosystem and they are shouting as scam scam , this is very bad Binary options trading is illegal in India, not only in India but in many countries, yet no SC ban or RBI ban is imposed on them. Most black money hoarders actually trade in options and traditional stock exchanges through traders rather than funnelling it in Cryptos. This is an incredibly silly move for a country that's beating its drums saying its on the 'forefront' of digital economy.
