1041  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Should humans be free agents in the gambling world? on: March 30, 2019, 09:52:03 PM
However, on the other hand, gambling is not an activity that is as impactless as riding a bike or watching a movie. Gambling can have serious and profound effects on people.

Really? More profound than dying from an accident or being shot by some lunatic? Things that regularly happen these days with riding a bike or going to a movie.

I'm curious as to what you guys think. Do you believe gambling should be open and free to all, and that we should be able to choose where and how to risk our money? Or, do you believe there should be regulations imposed on gamblers and gambling institutions for their own safety, and for the safety of their families?

Chances of you winning in gambling is the same as getting shot during a movie or a prayer (newzealand mosque incident).

With that said,

There should be a level of checks that go into the gambling economy - not to check what each individual spends, but rather to ensure that the gambling platforms and casinos are fair!
No matter which part of the world you go to, this has been the typical protectionist policies and attitude that most governments have towards this industry.

Addition of blockchain technology to the gambling industry only helps to make it more transparent - a rigorous checking system for IDs for gamblers will work towards their benefit rather than something else..
1042  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Here we are! lovers' of bullish trend. on: March 30, 2019, 02:06:20 AM
From the look of things it seemed the bullish trend has commenced and most of the langing indicators are showing uptrend signal. I am a lover of bullish trend and I do wish the market keep going upwards with a little reset along the ways and I do believe that we all has the desire of seeing bitcoin and cryptocurrencies market be in good condition.
The bearish trend that commenced in December around 15, 2017 seem to be over and now we are awaiting another bull run that may create another pathways that we have never seeing before. My desired is that all the cryptocurrencies holders and enthusiast become millionaires, billionaires and the leaders of the world financial system.

I wish you had a more original idea when you thought of creating a new thread like this.
Seriously? "love of bullish trend"?? What's next? Lover of double top pattern reversal??

As far as OP's enthusiasm is considered, we are not in a bullish trend yet, if anything we're at the extreme edge of a rising wedge, which means we're due for a dip back to sub 3800 levels.

Nevermind the wedge analysis. A rise in difficulty has resulted in us breaking out of the wedge pattern. We're painting a Bull flag right now.

1044  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you watch the matches you're gambling on on: March 29, 2019, 09:23:34 PM
I think the question should be - Should you gamble on matches that you watch for fun?

The reason I say this is simple; when I watch a match, irrespective of the sport, I want to watch it to enjoy it. To have a relaxing time. Not pick my hair out because I might lose money for someone else's mistake.
I'm not a gambler so I do not typically bet on matches - or anything to be honest.

However, if I were to gamble, I will just study the team's past performances, make an educated guess and put my money based on that guess.
That's it - now I will do something else that is NOT related to that match or anything even close to it. The only time I will check back is when the match is over only to find out whether I multiplied money or did I lose them completely.

I understand this might not be the most effective thing to do - but it is the one that is the most peaceful.
1045  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Esportbets.io - Launched and Need Feedback - Register Bonus included on: March 29, 2019, 09:11:57 PM
A little bump, still looking for feedback Smiley

How about a platform that lets gamers matchmake and play against each other with betting bags?
Say player/team1 matches with player/team2. They put 20 credits in the 'betting bag' and the winner takes it all?
Of course this has to be done flawlessly with anti-cheat checks & all.

But a feature like that would be really awesome IMO.

PS: This would need to support all the major competitive games out there.
1046  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you going to ride PHX? on: March 29, 2019, 09:01:24 PM
I just saw this hype on twitter. And looking at this link, it says that PHX will have a two or three partnerships.

What are your thoughts about this? Are you going to ride and go with the hype?

EDIT: Look at the latter part to see that they are having partnerships.

Not a good idea to ride a pump.
Also not a good idea to shill for useless projects for money. Most of us old-timers can see right through you.

1048  Economy / Gambling / Re: How skrill is working in your countries. Is they close while verification on: March 29, 2019, 02:28:52 PM

I am a accounts seller ( Bet365,betfair etc with skrill or neteller ) From few days skrill/neteller are working poorly. They close all accounts while verification. Just open and send for verification. after 48 hours all are closed. Really frustrated. Please help me. How can i verify skrill or neteller. Which method do i need to use to avoid accounts close.

I've been using skrill for as nearly as long as paypal.

Skrill was famous for betting websites and forex websites back in the day until they started venturing out into other things like Ebay and becoming a fully fledged payment processor.

As far as functioning in my country is considered, every time I withdraw money to my bank I had to go to the bank physically and sign a receipt. Which is why I stopped using skrill actively.

They gave me similar headaches during verification but it was smooth, just an annoyance to do all the running around.

Check socialbet.io

Have you approached Wefunder?
They may be the perfect place for you to raise funds.

Since you have a weird KYC policy, I would suggest you to fix that first and then approach Wefunder. See how things turn out. If you evolve your betting site into something like Wagerr, then you could become a bigger player down the line in this sector.
1050  Economy / Services / Re: Custom Website development on: March 29, 2019, 02:16:09 PM
We can develop any type of custom website depending on your needs. Contact us with detailed explanation of what you need and we will tell you the price and time needed to develop the website.

Have you got any experience developing other websites in this niche?
You need to put up a consolidated portfolio.

Also - don't make the mistake of using example images from the internet (something I did a few years back, regretfully) - regardless of the fact that you can recreate something like that example.

When posting a portfolio sample here, be ready to have your work / idea stolen no matter what you do so be prepared for that as well.

Consider me for a switch for a switch from your existing campaign of Rocket.Run to this one.

Reason : Rocket Run charges a withdrawal fee and this campaign pays higher rates.

1052  Economy / Services / Re: Bitcointalk Charity Program - Give Hope To Everyone on: March 26, 2019, 11:19:10 AM
Yesterday I was trying to raise emergency medical funds for treating my mother through an Indian fundraising platform here : Please Help Me Save My Mother!

As you can see even these platforms that boast of raising so much funds for so many people aren't really that useful in medical emergencies. I don't know if a crypto-based medical / charity fundraising platform would be any better.

You may change the currency, but not everyone's cut out for actually helping.

It wouldn't make someone poor if they spent $1 on charity a month or helping someone. But truth be told, a person will not donate until that person is at a mental level where they can give enough importance to other's problems just the same as they would have done for themselves.
I've been lucky that I found help from 3 people. Most people will never find even 1. So if this thread actually helps someone - even 1 person, then it would mean the world to them.

I would like to help here, either through money or any other way - I don't know how yet because I'm myself in a very sticky situation, but I assure you, I'll help whenever I can.

Good luck Cabalism!
1053  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for crypto/blockchain enthusiasts to produce daily news content on: March 26, 2019, 10:56:59 AM
Our rate of payment is $5 per article initially, with the opportunity to produce as many or as few articles as you can handle each week.  We do require a commitment of at least 1 article per day for a minimum of 5 days

$5 is good for a small 250 worded article - if you can call it that.
You'd be better of paying $5 per tweet to someone with a good enough following at this rate.

If you are serious about this kind of content - talk to Parodium - be adviced, his writing services are neither cheap nor low quality.

I feel sorry for what happened to your mother mate, I hope she'll recover soon enough to have best time with you again. Though this kind of things that bitcointalk has provided us is really a big help. Especially in this kind of situations.
Payments are coming for the first week, you'll be able to buy what is necessary, even if its just a portion of medicines that is needed for your mom.

Stay strong brother! I'm wishing your mother a speedy recovery.

I wish she will get a speed recovery, bro.

Thanks guys!
The sig payment combined with help from people like Darkstar and Parodium really did help!
idk what I would have done otherwise.

She is much better today. Treatment is ongoing.
1055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling destitute on: March 26, 2019, 09:30:27 AM
So you know that gambling can make you poor, you need to remember that you should not play gambling games. And if you only want to get fun, it's better to search for the other things because you have a chance to lose the money.

You don't have to spend your money on gambling games especially if you think you can earn money, that is a big mistake. But we have a chance to invest with the house because we have a chance to make a profit from the games and the house will win in the end.

As long as people like you and me exist that take money to promote gambling sites, there will be people who continue to gamble.

But I guess as long as there are people that can understand that anything in excess is a bad thing then they won't actually get addicted to this..

Thank you everyone for your great support and interest!
The campaign is running great right now and we really thank the community for it.
Especially our man Hhampuz right here. He is a very competent man with lots of experience and a great personality as well as reputation.
Thank you all once again for being in the beginning of this great journey with us.

You have no idea how important this campaign money is going to be for me. My mother fell ill yesterday night all of a sudden. The payment from this signature campaign will directly fund the hospital bills.

Please wish the best for my mother's speedy recovery.

Hey everyone, I'm doing a research project about blockchain development, I was wondering what the biggest pain points with current blockchain SDK's that you have?

You will have to be more specific about which blockchain you are talking about.

And don't pay attention to this:
Hey everyone, I'm doing a research project about blockchain development, I was wondering what the biggest pain points with current blockchain SDK's that you have?

..problem with the current blockchain SDK's is that they aren't many. The one's they exist aren't novice friendly. Like one needs to have a solid grasp of Cloud Computing and object-oriented in general.

He clearly has no idea how many sdks actually exist, or what they are - else he wouldn't have said that - no offense.

Anyways,

Take a look at this :

https://www.programmableweb.com/category/blockchain/sdks

A comprehensive list of 242 blockchain sdk's currently live.

Asking what's the most common problem with most of them is like asking which fish tastes the worst - hundreds of cultures, thousands of fish species - how can anyone say which is the worst tasting?

If you get that analogy then you'll get my point.

If you asked me, immutability is a real issue. Most devs not used to working with blockchains find it annoying that they can't alter a block after its hashed.

But if you asked most traditional business people or older devs they'd tell you the biggest issue with most blockchain is maintenance - to constantly update the codebase over a decentralized network takes a lot of time & resources.
1060  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Literatus.org - blogging platform where authors earn [Bitcoin accepted here] on: March 22, 2019, 08:36:33 PM
Hi everyone,

I've recently launched a new project called Literatus (https://literatus.org). Literatus is a multi-lingual blogging platform where authors earn money by blogging. Simply, authors can set a price for their writings and earn from every sale!
The idea is interesting but don't you think that stemmit or whatever that site is called kinda monetizes articles as well? Moreover, if one article is bought by someone, there is no point for another person to buy it since the article will already be crawled on the internet if the first buyer puts it online. Maybe a system where one article, if solid gives exclusive editing rights for the buyer, could be implemented.
...

This part of your reply makes me think that you have never heard of Nature.com
Or read / bought any of its articles.

https://www.nature.com/articles/nm0195-27
That's a random one I pulled for you related to rheumatoid arthritis.

OP's project is similar to this - except its on Bitcoin SV / Crypto.

If anything, Bitcoin projects should post their whitepapers here - anyone that wants to read it has to pay for it.
Not only whitepaper - anything technical that has had research time & money spent into it, could find it's way to Literatus

OP - good work!

Just don't de-rank it by calling it a blogging platform.
