1281  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Brexit status on: December 14, 2018, 09:48:52 AM
If I understand anything about the UK and their politics, and I do not. I think May was betting all her ponies on the “joint interpretative instrument” which is akin to laying all her eggs in one basket. She spent less time gaining the trust of her own cabinet. Just the sheer possibility of the EU having the objective of ending the Northern Ireland backstop close to just a year after it was placed in power, even with the so-called support of Merkel and Kurz was a ludicrous idea. To me at least.

The backstop has brought to light the greatest sore thumb that's sticking out right now in the whole mess. Just the thought of a hard border between Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland could stoke the old IRA flames and no wonder the hardliners are irate.

But from an Indian's perspective, this is pretty fun to witness. They came here and they drew borders on maps that caused communal tensions that lasted generations, even to this day, millions died .. it almost feels like they've come a full circle and are about to face the same border issues that they created in all their ex-colonies - something that they still to this day take no responsibility of.

Hey! but what do I know? I'm just the resident of an ex-capital of an ex-colony of the (laughably) "great" British Empire.

However, I wasn't aware that you were a britt theymos ..

You could have ordered some of the most expensive tea and gone down in crypto-history alongside the most expensive pizza. Ever!

Quote
that you were a britt theymos ..

Or is that a wrong assumption? I only presumed so because of your interest in brexit  Roll Eyes
1282  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk can fix bounty issues on: December 14, 2018, 09:21:33 AM
Satoshi leads us all on here, making all people including myself knows about cryptocurrency through bitcointalk ,bitcointalk forum is the first and the best of its kind.
I'm here to today to share my thoughts ,I don't know if its any possible .
 (1) this days bounty hunters are all on restrictions, which makes things easier on this forum especially getting rid of spammers ,merits has became a must for any newbies to participate in any bounty ,kudos to forum moderators for this nice move, why can't there be some restrictions for bounties too? I mean ICOs in general ? Like be the middle man between bounties and bounty hunters, like hold the coins/tokens and pay out to bounty hunters after bounty ends? Be the bounties manager? This will decrease not getting paid after ICO.
(2) I believe that any project that follows this law on bitcoin talk forum must have no choice but to release the coins/tokens to the forum before even starting the bounty at all,I think its a sharp move ,this will make scam projects run too, decrease maybe?
I've come to understand that projects with no ICOs are stronger and better than the ICO ones ,claiming soft cap is a must ,they end up going scam if not reached. I'm not perfect in all ways I just want all this solved.

Because too many middlemen actually resulted in the creation of Bitcoin - an ecosystem that was supposed to get rid of middlemen.
1283  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: What are investors looking for before investing in a crypto project these days? on: December 14, 2018, 08:58:59 AM
Entrepreneurs are turning to the more traditional means.

If by traditional, you mean ac investors and venture funds, then let me give you an insight as a guy who runs errands for projects both in and out of cryptoverse, to raise funds, I know for a fact the general mood for most traditional self-certified accredited investors. They have an extremely negative outlook towards crypto which is sometimes justified. But 9/10 times those outlooks are the result of "their friends" investing in a scam project where they lost all their money.
I understand their reasons but I don't accept their logic behind it most of the times. Just because "their friends" were duped into a project that was a failure does not mean that; that all crypto related projects - all legit crypto related projects are going to fail just like that.

As a negotiator, it always falls on my shoulders to convince people to either invest in the project or issue a line of credit. And they're not the easiest investor type to 'convert'.

Starting to raise funds (with the ICO model or whatever) ok, but for what? If you don't have a real project with a real product then what is the use collect money from people.
You're assuming I was implying "ICO" I did not. I said "investment into crypto projects." Not all kind of investments are done through ICO or crowdfunding, that's still a relatively new thing that gained momentum with Kickstarter and Indiegogo.

Generally, you think about the project firstly, and then think about how to develop it financially. Not the other way around.
okay, so lets say you are a guy with $100k in your pocket and I come to you after spending 5 months of volunteer dev / self work into a project that's not unique but actually has a working alpha.
Now at that point even if I offered you equity, lets say 10% for your 100k, wouldn't you rather hire top of the line coders and devs and develop 100% of the project on your own and retain 100% equity instead of investing in someone else's project with just 10%?

See, then it becomes a question of the kind of investor you are approaching and mostly, I think, the kind of investors that are best suited for a crypto project is the one who has disposable money that he can invest and let others take care of his investment and grow the project while he does other things. And these kinds of investors have to be brought into the project at the early stages. Not after spending a few months working on the project.
1284  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [New Project Seeks devs] Need professional developers for a new exciting project on: December 14, 2018, 08:34:28 AM
To all other idiots who're willing to "paint a situation" with me - please stop, go waste someone else's time.

To all other GENUINELY interested people reaching out to me, understand this;

At no point, would paying anyone in this project, be an issue.
The sole reasoning behind why we're leaning towards individuals who are willing to work in a probono mode is simply because we want to avoid people like the one who was commenting before - who simply wants 3 btc without even understanding what the project is about.

You want to be paid for the work you do, yes, that's the very definition of a 'job' - but to know if you are worth getting paid and worth the money that you would want us to spend on your services, you first need to set a precedence, where you are proving your worth to the project and letting us know what you can do as well as letting us get to know each other.

Even when you'd be a paid dev for the project, it won't be an outright salary, rather, you'd be paid for achieving a set objective, kind of like milestones.

There are various ways in which you could get paid but all that is subjected to negotiations, your skill as a developer and your contribution to the project.

Please note, you will be paid a "salary" once the project is formalized, has raised funds, has it's own HQ and you're there, in the HQ physically working on a day in and day out basis - which wouldnt be an immediate thing and more than likely would happen after the funding is raised and secured.
1285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: need volunteer to test ios altcoin wallet on: December 12, 2018, 06:37:41 PM
What if all that you're saying is nothing but fubar and you want to install a trojan / keylogger into people that can afford the newer versions of iphone (people with extra disposable income) - just so you can steal that data?

1286  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Bitcoin Awareness and Adoption Project in India on: December 12, 2018, 06:28:47 PM
I am not sure how it is going to be,even though Indians are good at technology they refuse to take anything new so convincing them may not be much effective but it is good effort though.

I am not sure where you are getting that kind of sentiment from? What makes you think that? I'm curious so let me know.

But why you need to meet them and teach? You can do that it online so it can reduce lot of expenses right.

When a new tech is physically present to spread awareness, such campaigns are much more effective than online marketing / awareness programs.

Remember, online marketing works by exploiting people's existing interest and pitching to them similar services / techs / things.
Real life physical (ooh) marketing targets to bring in people that have never heard of that service / tech / thing before.
1287  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 12, 2018, 06:16:24 PM

That's badDecker you're talking to - a fanatic logicless idiot that believes in god & religion. No point in arguing with him.

Actually, the existence of God has been proven. And we are finding out that He does what He says. So, it is best to believe in Him.

Cool

Proven by whom? when? where? What makes you the leading authority in the matter? Why do you expect people to take you seriously? All questions sadly even your benevolent god can't answer (because there isn't such a thing).

If your god exists, let him prove by killing me in the INSTANT I post this message.

-edit-

The experiment proved to be a success, god doesn't exist. I'm still alive.
1288  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [New Project Seeks devs] Need professional developers for a new exciting project on: December 12, 2018, 05:33:02 PM
Position Two : Full Stack Programmer
The project is centred around a multiwallet, a unique token economics and a business model that is tried and tested in the traditional business world.
Much more details would be shared with you once you initiate a conversation and sign a non disclosure agreement.
Position Three : Hardware Developer
This person would be responsible for the development of the wearable hardware device that we're looking to create. Nothing needs to be built from scratch. Similar existing devices already exist in the market.

What is it??
You are looking for people, but you can not paint the conditions.
A good programmer appreciates his time and it should be well paid.

What is there to understand? And why insults? With this attitude, no self-respecting person will cooperate ...

You are not doing anyone a favour by cluttering this thread. Certainly not yourself.
1289  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [New Project Seeks devs] Need professional developers for a new exciting project on: December 12, 2018, 04:34:26 AM
And how much do you pay for the work?
I am ready to program at least something, but less than 3 BTC for work will not do anything ...

I don't think you read the post clearly and further than that I don't think you even understood what's being asked here.
I don't think I can bring anyone into the project that can't read simple sentences. I've recently had a bad experience of hiring a shit developer - not again.
1290  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $5k loan on: December 12, 2018, 02:38:28 AM

I'm not a newbie man, I've had this account for almost 4 years now. Also, I have collateral but like I said, I'm very worried about trusting just anyone. I might just go with one of the senior lenders on here or something.

If by anyone you meant me, then I must reassure you, I'm not just "anyone".

Regardless.

Your wish is fulfilled :

I can lend, total interest 0.36% (assuming two day time period). 1 Million CND as collateral for a loan of 1.503BTC (based on current exchange rate of $5k, let me know if you have a specific BTC amount you want). You can find my lending thread here. I've given large loans with similar conditions in the past (one example, rest on the lending thread) if it helps reassure you.

I recommend Darkstar for this deal, he has a lot of rep, the money to lend and you won't even need to use a third party escrow.

Good luck

I just realized that in the time this thread has been around, I've performed 3,000+ hours of clinically supervised work, tested for and received a clinical license, started private practice work, and (hopefully) changed dozens of lives for the better.

Meanwhile...flat-earth contributions?

Me thinks time is better spent on other things.

You're just 7000 hours away from being a master at your job.
Regardless, there's no point in arguing with flat earthers, religious people like baddecker, they're the filth of this earth that would only get denser the more you try to sieve them off.
1292  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why do Atheists Hate Religion? on: December 12, 2018, 02:09:50 AM
I don't think that atheists hate religion but it is for sure that they think they are smarter than Christians or any religious persons just because they believe in a supreme being. My grandmother used to say that the devil wins a follower every time a person becomes an atheist

I am sorry to say your grandmother was not a very smart person. Neither are you.

Maybe Grandma wasn't very smart, but she was right.    Cool

Nah, she was dumb as a rock.  Devil?

C'mon, fictional characters do not exist.  I hope you know that much.

1293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French stupid protestors refuse violence... Grow some balls! on: December 12, 2018, 02:08:17 AM
Gandhi was amazing to be fair, he was highly influential and inspired an entire nation, it is extremely difficult to emulate.

Gandhi had humble origins, he didn't build his influence on day one. And it was not easy to be non-violent.
1294  Other / Politics & Society / Re: French stupid protestors refuse violence... Grow some balls! on: December 11, 2018, 03:02:11 PM
Nothing can be done by peaceful protestation, nothing can change like that. Please Europeans grow the balls to oppose the globalists agenda!

And then there was a guy named Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi.. and then there was the nation of India that gained independence by driving out the most powerful colonial empire - without engaging in full-scale violence or going to war.

1298  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Best blockchain to build dapps on?? on: December 11, 2018, 12:15:45 PM
It might come as a surprise but you COULD use ETC - they're planning to implement orbita interoperable sidechains that'll boos their network up significantly by allowing them to process upto 1000 transactions per second.

Just not sure how well the implementation would occur given that Etcdev have shut their doors for now.
1299  Economy / Services / Re: JOBS & SERVICE REQUEST BOARD (Post Hiring requests HERE) + TX Accelerator Advice on: December 11, 2018, 11:52:04 AM

1. There is a multi-chain supporting multiwallet. Take a look at Hodler.Tech and Brd.Com - very similar to those wallets, infact you can even say a clone of these wallets and their features.

2. There is a wearable hardware development involved.

3. There's another aspect of the project that deals with all the new cryptos and helps vendors accept any new crypto coin according to their needs.

For an UNNAMED Project

Position One : Blockchain Architect
We need a senior developer with a provable history in building blockchain applications and cryptocurrencies.

Position Two : Full Stack Programmer

The project is centred around a multiwallet, a unique token economics and a business model that is tried and tested in the traditional business world.
Much more details would be shared with you once you initiate a conversation and sign a non disclosure agreement.

Ideally, looking for people that are interested in working on the project Pro bono because they believe in it.
They will be receiving payment once the project has raised enough funds

However, project owner is open to paying people as well, if that is an utmost necessity depending on individual skillsets and experience.

Provable history, their own github repo with previous work and working experience is of utmost importance. Institutionalized training does not matter but will hold it's weight.

1300  Economy / Lending / Re: Need $5k loan on: December 11, 2018, 07:44:15 AM
But why do you want to do this for free? What will you gain out of the trade? Not criticizing you, just curious.

Good question.
I have never been an escrow before. Despite me being a long time member of this forum I feel like this is something that I can offer as a service.

Since I have never done this before I am always on the lookout to help newbies and inexperienced people so they stay protected and I start racking up "experience" as an escrow before I finally start to offer this service like other professional people on this forum and charge a fee for it.
