1901  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Looking for new partner on my crypto-site on: March 08, 2019, 10:37:11 AM
If I am the dev of this website I will just hire freelancer here or on Fiverr they are more affordable I don't know if profit sharing is good for a new website and if I am a freelancer I won't go for the offer, because it will take long before this becomes profitable and by that time the contract expires between you and the owner of the site.

Completely correct and I'm saying that based on my experience. I had a partnership with a guy who said he will give me 50% of what he'll gain through ads. For the first few months, he used to give me $50 a month for all my work till 6 months saying that he's getting only $100 and based on trust, I kept faith and worked ahead. But after 2 months more, he just removed me out of the project saying that it's not profitable because of me and the next week after that, he shared his proof of earnings for that month publicly and you guys know what? He earned more than $1500 in ads alone. So, it's not really that easy to trust anyone and go work for them especially if you are a freelancer because if I'm not wrong, those who write articles are considered freelancers only?
1902  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: New Crypto Talk Website! on: March 08, 2019, 10:16:29 AM
UPDATE!!!  Forum has been completed and domain has been changed. We have added embedded Discord and Chatango to our site as well for users to choose their preference. Live Crypto prices has been added as well!

Honestly, Bitcointalk is running really old software, but your forum in comparison looks ancient. Maybe try to attract users by using latest software that makes user experience good ? (Search for NodeBB for example)

All the other hosted forums and even bitcoin talk has adds, mine does not have adds and also is fully customizeable. Colors ect....

I understand, but dude it looks like forum from 2002 not 2019. You said you pay 25$ a month or smth. Why ? Buy VPS for 5$ a month and install phpBB or smf or nodebb and enjoy better software at lower rate.

The forum is free I have also updated it a bit. I pay 35$ a month for hosted website and domain. I have been hard at work designing logo for web site. It looks pretty good right now. I have updated site a bit too. We will keep our progress moving forward with clean style add free forum! I wish you guys could join us cause we think we have something special going on and future. We talk about alot of really cool things in the Discord channel as well, lots of insight on whats going on in the crypto world. 💯💯💯💯💯

Please keep it spam free so we don't see some shitty questions again and again like What is Bitcoin? What is blockchain? Why was Bitcoin introduced? etc.
As your forum is relatively new to Bitcointalk, I think it stands a chance to get good moderators with strict moderation rules to be applied as and when spam takes place over there. Like eckmar said, please find a better VPS (AWS could be the best one) and upgrade it with better security modules to gain wider audience for your platform.
1903  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: the house always win???? on: March 08, 2019, 09:49:21 AM
You have any method to share for win against the house?

Like everyone, I will say that no one can win against the house in the long run but because you're expecting something from us, I'd say you should change your seed every now and then, check which one is favorable and do it with small bets and when you find a seed that gives you more rewards over losses, go ahead with it and play as seed is the only veto power a player has.

Quote
What is the best way for bet and win against the house???

I don't know best way, but you should stop playing after winning a considerable percentage like 50%, 100% or 200% because then, house starts playing shady games and makes you lose more.
1904  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How to Get Rich Quick - Bitcoin on: March 08, 2019, 09:22:23 AM

Also is that show on BBC or something else? Cant find it in the BBC site. Anywhere us outside the UK can watch it online?

Get it here, https://www.channel4.com/programmes/how-to-get-rich-quick  As I said before, this is not a TV Series based on Crypto currencies, but rather a much broader coverage of all possible investment and entrepreneurial ventures that people can use to become rich.

They just had a little insert on Crypto currencies, where he takes his granny and they invest money into something, to see if they can make a profit or a loss over the short term.  Wink

But even if considered a different niche based TV series, when Bitcoin's name gets used in front of such broad audience then it is definitely going to get some exposure not to forget those millions of people watching it and these guys saying all this about crypto. I don't think that's a nice definition of crypto among youth but the name used in it is enough to show what crypto has gained since its evolution. That's true that none of the banks can compete against Bitcoins and I truly say that BTC is not a currency but a bank in itself.
1905  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My Transaction Still Pending After more than 2 Days now, 0 confirmation on: March 08, 2019, 09:08:31 AM
I checked and it's confirmed already.
From next time, please perform some patience and act normal as BTC transactions don't get confirmed instantly as they need to be taken in a block. You can see when was the last block found at https://www.blockchain.com/explorer

And when did it take 2 days? It took just 45 minutes and was taken in the next 2-5 blocks after the transaction was made, so stop fooling us here.
1906  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-05] Billionaire Eugene Kaspersky: World Isn’t Ready for Bitcoin Yet on: March 08, 2019, 08:55:21 AM
<<snip>>

We should not forget that it is up to the governments to make various very important decisions about the development of the infrastructure for the circulation of cryptocurrency as a means of payment.

Really, we need Governments to develop the whole infrastructure for the circulation of cryptocurrencies? If I'm not wrong, we had been doing this since over a decade now, where were they till now? Just because they saw they are losing a lot of money as taxes and commissions, they started intervening into crypto space and are also trying to make everything centralized. Whom of you here really want your ^Govs.^ to allow crypto and then you would start to trade it? None, because everyone of you here are already doing it since and will do it forever. Bitcoin is a system which doesn't really need any organization's permission to run and that's its major significance.

Quote
Now Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency is still very poorly used as a means of payment precisely because of the slow legalization of cryptocurrency by the states.

True, which is why BTC even surpassed PayPal in terms of transaction volume? Whoops, these sarcastic comments...

Quote
Without this, a cryptocurrency can only remain a means of financial settlement between individuals. Moreover, the decision to use or not use the ordinary national money of the states depends on governments.

Crypto can never be used as a mode of payment just because it is not liquid enough to digest the stability for a specified time, and the volatility here shows that BTC and other crypto are here to be played as assets of markets through which we can only make more money.
1907  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Need opinion about Decentralized Gambling and Profit Sharing on: March 08, 2019, 08:44:06 AM
Hi, guys.
I notice that many gambling dApps were popping up in EOS and TRON. https://dappradar.com/rankings
And some of them offer house profit sharing.

I saw the apps list and I truly believe that this is a game changer in the field of gambling as when you don't need any KYC issues to be resolved and can get paid directly to your wallet without any hassles or country-specific restrictions, this is going to be a revolution in the gambling industry. It's just that the coins being used here are of least importance after all the mess happened before.
Profit sharing had been there already and it depends on the % the vendor allows its affiliates, as well as you should also understand the risks associated with it that it is not guaranteed because house gives you some options to choose from and if some users win big against the house under that category, you get nothing.
1908  Economy / Speculation / Re: ??? DECISION TIME FOR BITCOIN?!?! 4k or 3.5k?!?! ??? on: March 08, 2019, 07:44:17 AM
As some of you think that economically, BTC has seen its bottom then I say not yet because BTC is yet to see a bottom but don't worry, it will look more as a red injection line downway (dump to a new bottom) and then instantly back to the price from where the dump starts. I don't see this going below $2000 (the least I expect to be the bottom for this year). The bullish momentum that is being seen at the moment doesn't look trustworthy enough to say that BTC is actually bullish, and chances of reversal as well as dumps are more as it all looks a trap. Better not to take leveraged positions nowadays because it will only land you at ground scale, so save yourself some money and have buy orders open for $2500 with 50% and $2000 with remaining 50% capital you want to invest.
1909  Economy / Speculation / Re: How much Bitcoin price Expected end of this year on: March 08, 2019, 07:34:50 AM
I don't expect too much higher price of Bitcoins, but I'm not sure what will happen when Bakkt comes into action, maybe it will even cross over $10,000 once again or maybe it would even drop more? The best prediction for this year end to actually happen would be $6000 and it should also hold this mark for some months just to make it look more liquid than speculated.
1910  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Kill the Bear Bring the Bull on: March 08, 2019, 07:21:05 AM
For the bull to come, Stop using binance and bitmex.

Why man? What would happen if we stop using Binance and Bitmex? Nothing will happen, you know why? Because everyone here is a part of a big flock, so if one goes and finds another way to trade then they will also follow. Doesn't really make any sense because if trading will get stopped, how will people earn? Bulls can take place while trading the much awaited and highly expected volume and I think that the big bulls are yet to accumulate enough to push back the price up.
1911  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / What made BNB rise to near 0.004 BTC mark? on: March 08, 2019, 07:05:38 AM
Why is it that BNB (Binance coin) went up so quick?
Was it the token burn or something else? BNB looks one or the most promising investments even at current price and I think that it has the potential to be worth more than $100 one day soon. I want to know what were the fundamentals that took it so high in just a few days. More than 2x in just a few days shows how much faith everyone has in this coin.
1912  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin at $9,000 by the end of the year on: March 08, 2019, 05:42:50 AM
It is not good for Bitcoin to go there directly because it doesn't bring in investors but throw them far due to the fact that this doesn't seem like stability but just a bubble. It is considerable that there are so many facts which points the direction of BTC to be bullish, but it should not come all of a sudden and should grow gently to get more and more people join it willfully.
1913  Economy / Gambling / Re: ChampagneSpins - hybrid casino - rated 4.5/5 stars on: March 08, 2019, 05:33:04 AM
Is KYC needed to play there? Or to withdraw our winnings?
And if I want to be an affiliate, do I still need to undergo KYC to get my commissions withdrawn? And what are the commissions, can you show an example of what I'll be getting per potential customer I bring to them?
1914  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should we wait for a big drop in BTC? on: March 08, 2019, 05:02:27 AM
It already made a mark below $3500 and I think that's the lowest BTC could have experienced as a downturn. There are many flag breakouts which indicate a sign of bullish, still the zone in which BTC is currently standing, can be called a neutral zone and we need further breakouts to above $4500 mark to call it bullish genuinely. It is advisable to hold for some more time if you have bought it now.
1915  Economy / Gambling / Which dice and sportsbetting site gives best affiliate commission? on: March 08, 2019, 04:04:09 AM
As in the question, which is the best site to get great affiliate commission for our referrals? Please find me a good place where a brief comparison has already been done <it should be latest one>, and if there isn't any then someone please compare different sites and give the best out of them.
1916  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After long break I started constant betting and this is what happen today? on: March 07, 2019, 03:48:04 PM
The mindset that you need to have when gambling should be very brave and you shouldn't have any fear in your mind about losing, so that winning mindset plays a very important part while gambling. I hope you didn't lose too much after returning back to gambling, I don't understand those numbers if they are pounds or something else. Still, sorry for your loss and I feel you should save instead of gambling as it doesn't look suitable for your appetite. Tongue
1917  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The key reason for gambling on: March 07, 2019, 01:54:43 PM
It's simple, anyone would gamble to earn a lot of money too quick. It is a way to try out our luck to see if we can actually earn something big out of this, because where it can make you a quick buck in less time, it takes no time to snatch it away from your hands and that's where greed and addiction plays its role badly and makes us lose even more in the long run.
1918  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are there any on-chain sportsbetting websites alive? on: March 07, 2019, 07:18:55 AM

Seriously?  You were a DirectBet reg?  They had like the worst odds available.  Lol.

Anyway, in Peeps' post are your best choices.  Go send a request for the features you want.  And hope to be heard...  That's what I do.  Wink

Obviously I was, and I still am. I would definitely want to play at DirectBet if they ever make a comeback, did you ever play there? On what basis are you saying that their odds were worst? I've never had any issues whatsoever you are trying to describe here and I'm a big fan of them just because of their on-chain ability to settle the transactions almost immediately.

OP is asking about on-chain... which means, everything is wagered and settled with on-chain transactions (as he says, the model of DirectBet.eu which closed down).

To my knowledge, the only one doing this now is onehash, but they're more like a marketplace. So instead of betting with the bookie, you're taking offers made by others. Bets are settled on-chain, though. You deposit the wager, and provide an address to get your winnings once settled. They don't keep balances on account, but of course, if you're a market maker, then your deposits stay until someone accepts your offer(s).

Does it mean that when a bet is opened by me, it needs to be picked up by someone to bet against me for the competition to begin? And what happens if the match ends (as if I go for a sports related bet)? Will my bet go void and I'll get back my coins? Chances here are, I'll probably never get the bet of my choice if going to pick a wager myself out of the already provided bets by users there.
1919  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-03-05] Billionaire Eugene Kaspersky: World Isn’t Ready for Bitcoin Yet on: March 06, 2019, 04:38:33 AM
The article is a bit misleading, as is your line that he thinks the "world is not ready for cryptocurrency just yet". He never said that at all. What he said was he thinks it will take 100 years before bitcoin is the only currency on Earth, under a single global government.

If he thinks that Bitcoin can only be said as completely adopted if there's only one currency on Earth and that's BTC only but considers a condition that it would be under a single global government, then I think that even a century is less for that to happen because every government loves their power and the amount of money they gain through that power, they cannot just give it to a certain government built just for the sake of cryptocurrencies. And if it all comes under one hood, then too the "decentralization" will end.

Quote
Given that currently there is around $90 trillion in broad money, and a further $300 trillion in real estate and business assets, converting all of that in to a single world-wide currency would be huge (not to mention converting things like stock markets, derivatives, etc).

It is really hard to convert even money into new money (recent example was demonetization in India where people used to stand in lines for hours to get their old notes exchanged for newer ones). It will be a complete waste of paper as if it remains of no use.

Quote
I think that's a very bullish prediction, rather than the bearish spin CCN seem to have put on it.

Nothing new as it is their job to present things in an opposite way to add up some "break" to make the article eye-catching.
