1901  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC max supply is 21million and hardcore it. Price can be ? on: October 08, 2022, 07:38:48 PM
21million still hardcore on the bitcoin network. Price of btc also can hard core same as to the bitcoin network?

No. No one has the right to set the price of Bitcoin, except for free market forces. Anything else would make Bitcoin no longer Bitcoin.

It seems to me that there is already more than the maximum supply of bitcoins right now. The problem is that a lot of surrogates, various wrapped bitcoins, have appeared in different blockchains, which some have been buying and holding. People don't understand the difference between real bitcoin and fake bitcoin, so it seems to me that 'bitcoins' have long outnumbered 21M.

Bitcoin's total supply is limited. This doesn't mean that clones and copycats can't be created, but they still won't be the real thing. Someday Bitcoin may no longer be the most valuable cryptocurrency on the market, but for now, this is a real deal - a battle-tested digital currency that is worth our attention.
1902  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The UEFA Nations League 2020/2021 Discussion Thread on: October 08, 2022, 07:22:49 PM
Thank you for the kind words about my national team.  Cheesy
Croatia already played in the final at the last World Cup 2018 in Russia and unfortunately lost in the final to France. We were also third in the world in 1998, so we are already used to the good performances of our national team at the biggest competitions.
Croatia also played well in the League of Nations this year, beating France and Denmark away from home and winning first place in the group.
For a long time, Croatia is not only Modric, but also Kovacic from Chelsea, Brozovic from Inter, Stanisic from Bayern, Perisic from Tottenham etc.
We had a short crisis after the World Cup in Russia 2018, but again we have a very good team and we are ready for great results  Grin
Portugal in final? Why not?  Grin

Croatia has a great team, especially with Modric in it. You have every right to be proud of your national team.

They have a great coach along with a well-balanced team that has strength, both speed and power, defense ability, and good goalkeeper. They played very well in the last World Cup and if they can play again in the same way, I think Croatia will be a strong team to look out for at the World Cup in Qatar, regardless of the fact that some of their players are aging and some young players are still inexperienced in international tournaments. But still, their team is filled with players who play for some of the best clubs in Europe, which makes them a dangerous opponent for any team that they meet on the field. I think Croatia can definitely make it to the quarterfinals and maybe even beyond that!
1903  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: THE ARMOR : New crypto crash game. on: October 08, 2022, 05:56:45 PM
I don't think it's fair enough when playing the rocket game, because you can't play with other players at the same time. This makes me think it's better to play on other platforms to play rocket games with other players.

Fair or not is not based on the type of crash game, single player or multiplayer is fine as long as it is using provably fair system.
I do not mean to defend this new site as I say it in general, you should not choose where to play crash game because you can play with other players only but it should be because of real fairness of the game.

I just visited their site and went through the history of the crash rounds, but I don't see anywhere how to verify the fairness of the rolls. Am I missing something here? Is this site provably fair at all? I didn't even find their Terms of service.

Also, I noticed in the header of the website a message that this is a beta version of the game, so I find it hard to believe that there are actually hundreds of players playing on the site. Most likely, these are all fake players (bots).
1904  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Lack of bug bounties from gambling platforms on: October 08, 2022, 05:35:11 PM
Why aren't gambling websites using bug bounties to test-run their platform security? I haven't seen any gambling platform doing this, maybe that's why most gambling websites became prone to hacking?

the site owner certainly has a reliable team to handle the security system, even the programming has been designed in great detail before the site is published so it will not involve many people.  maybe that's one of the reasons why gambling platforms don't provide bug bounty services because they are quite vulnerable and of course there are certain communities or organizations that are able to test them themselves
The owner will not run their platform without assuring that their site is secure. They surely have enough funds allocated to maintain the security of their site because that's how businessmen protect their businesses.
We might not see or notice it but they are doing it as a part of the maintenance system and they don't need to broadcast it.

I think that it depends and that it is not the same for every online casino. Some online casinos have a good security measures in place to protect the platform and their players from hacking and theft, but it is also true that there are also those who are not that secure. For example, it is common knowledge that some online casinos do not have a good reputation and they don't care about their customers. So it is entirely possible that these types of online casinos are insecure, and their protection system is not strong enough to keep the data safe from hackers. Because of this, it is a good idea to be extra cautious and make sure that any business, especially those that involve money in their transactions, is safe and secure. The online casinos are not perfect and they have weaknesses that can be exploited by hackers, scammers and other criminals. The only way to get the most secure platform is to choose a casino that uses software from reputable providers. These companies have huge experience and long term relationships with the big-name casinos, so they can be trusted to deliver the best possible service to customers .

I'm one of the team member that have been replaced. Unfortunately for me, I wasn't able to give the time that I have to spend on this project due to personal and other problems which I needed to address, because of that, I've been inactive and did not had any help at all to the project.
I'm glad that the project is continuously progressing forward. Personally, I believe that this project will be great in its later years, with its members being passionate and real, I have no doubts about that.

All of this seems like a good idea, but poor execution. I'm sure that the project will be successful if the team members are persistent and the team members should participate to the development of the project. Even though they are not paid for it, they will learn a lot from it. Personally, I would start the project first and only then start collecting funds. I'm sure that once the project starts the investment will be much easier to obtain.

@notblox1, I never heard of any member doing what you just said. You can elaborate it though.

I think he's referring to the escrow team who backed out of the project.
1907  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's Price be affected by this? on: October 05, 2022, 05:37:15 PM
I can't imagine that this will do anything to help the price of Bitcoin, but I'd love to hear your thoughts on why you think Musk's purchase of Twitter might relate to the Bitcoin cryptocurrency.
1908  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this Gambling Bot real or fake? on: October 04, 2022, 09:35:34 PM
I think this have been said many times but it has to be repeated, using gambling bots is simply a terrible idea, the concept behind them may seem attractive for those which think that it is possible to obtain dome profits when you gamble, but as we know this is something impossible in some games and even in the games which can in theory be beaten by the players this is very difficult, and a bot it is not going to help you at all in doing something like this, so you should give up on your dreams of using a bot to gamble.

Why is using bots a terrible idea? The reasons you mentioned apply to gambling in general, not just gambling bots.
Of course, you can apply certain strategies in the hope that you will beat the casino, but you can also do this when gambling manually. Gambling bots and scripts only make the process of betting faster. And there are many examples where this is actually very useful.
1909  Economy / Gambling / Re: ▄■▀■▄ 🌟BITVEST.io🌟 💰WIN BY 🔶PLAY 📈INVEST➡🔺🎲🎰🔲 | BET CONTEST ▄■▀■▄ on: October 04, 2022, 08:59:40 PM
They do not care about losing their customer base, they used to care about being bigger, but these days LL keeps on ignoring the business which is a clear indicator that he doesn't want to deal with this anymore.

That's a real shame if it's true. Bitvest and 777coin are two of the legendary bitcoin gambling sites. If the payouts have decreased recently, that's obviously a major red flag. I'm not sure what the best course of action would be here. Bitvest has been around for a long time and has a pretty solid reputation up until now, but one slow down in payouts might just turn this into a dead site.

Maybe it's age, maybe it's health, maybe it's work/life balance, whatever the reason is, maybe it never really made that much profit to begin with? All in all, one thing is clear which is the fact that owner doesn't show up as much as he used to, and he doesn't care about this place as much as he used to, meaning this place will get worse and worse, not technically, but for people and there will be lesser and lesser amount of people here.

Maybe he should consider leaving the job to someone else.
1910  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: it can affect the price of bitcoin? on: October 04, 2022, 01:53:25 PM
This is going a bit beyond my knowledge of economics, but apparently the volatility of the actual price of bitcoin can be affected by what's happening in the futures markets. Futures markets are a powerful tool in the financial world, and they are especially useful for commodities like oil and gas. If there's a big swing in prices on the futures market it could suggest that there are big changes coming to the actual market. If the price of a commodity on the futures market is higher than its current price in real time, it could mean that people are betting on a future rise in price. So if you have a sense of what the future will be like and you think it will be good or bad, then you can use that information to make trading decisions.
1911  Economy / Gambling / Re: Is this Gambling Bot real or fake? on: October 03, 2022, 10:08:32 PM
I can't say I understand why anyone would want to use a gambling bot.  Over time it doesn't matter what strategy you use, the house has an edge.  By using a gambling bot, you're almost assuring yourself losses, because it will just keep going until you do.  Not to mention that the point of gambling is for entertainment.  You're literally paying for entertainment.  Why use a bot and then strip away any possible entertainment factor?  It's like the worst of both worlds.  Lose money and get nothing out of it.

There are people who believe they can develop a winning strategy using a gambling bot. But, ultimately, the fact of the matter is that these bots give you more in terms of convenience than they do an actual advantage. There are many things to take into consideration and a few different strategies one can utilize when placing bets with a bot but over time, they aren't going to produce any tangible results. Sure, it might be fun to try it out, but in the end it will just turn into wasted money.
1912  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which coin should I invest in other than bitcoin? on: October 03, 2022, 05:34:22 PM
I don't think it's right to say bitcoin is profitable. If so why don't you try investing everything into bitcoin instead. I believe that bitcoin already has a slower movement compared to other altcoins plus the price is already expensive, making everyone prefer to invest in altcoins.

The bold statement above seems to have it all twisted. We are not saying that Bitcoin is not good enough for investment. The only reason why we would say it is not a viable investment is if you have unrealistic expectations from it.

Everyone has their own perspective on what they want, what they expect and how much they can get. If you are the kind that is trying to make a quick buck, then please don't invest. Don't even think of it really, bitcoin isn't called "digital gold" for nothing. Investing is a longer term game, and you have to be willing to accept slow growth and steady returns in order to make any significant amount of money. Every investment has its risks, and bitcoin is no exception. It goes up, it goes down, but at the end of the day, it's still here. And it will be here for years to come, unlike many shitcoins.

However, all wallet software is centralized (whether open source or proprietary).
Is bitcoin core centralized?

If we are talking about software, then I think yes. It's currently running on my local PC which is pretty centralized.  Wink
Of course, it is not fully functional in offline mode, but it still works, even if only partially.
1914  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Has this been discussed before? on: October 02, 2022, 07:38:21 PM
Open source and closed source have little to do with centralized/decentralized when it comes to making wallet software. It is important to understand that the Bitcoin network and blockchain are decentralized. However, all wallet software is centralized (whether open source or proprietary). Regardless of whether you use the wallet from your personal computer or access it through a web interface or mobile app on a web server, the wallet software is centralized.

Perhaps you meant the terms "custodial" and "non-custodial" wallets? But it has nothing to do with the type of wallet software, because both of them can be either open source or closed source.

If you from Hungary, a Daredevil and wanna make some GOO MONEY BY TOMORROW hit me up. Strictly Hungarians.

What kind of weird offer is this? I'm sorry, but I don't think this is going to work out
If you're really serious, why don't you tell us what it is you really want, then maybe we can get down to business, and maybe I'll tell you if I'm from Hungary or not.
1916  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitstarz is a scam casino (full proof of their actions) on: October 02, 2022, 10:44:50 AM
I'm not even sure what to say here. This site has a history of shady business practices and scam accusations. Why did you choose to partner with a company that has such a bad reputation?

There are plenty of reputable casinos out there. But while the world of online casinos is diverse, it's still important to do your homework. There are dozens of different factors to consider when choosing an online casino, from software, to security, to reputation. And you'll want to be sure that when you choose a casino, you're choosing a safe and secure environment for gambling.
1917  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to Generate Profit in this bear time? on: October 02, 2022, 09:59:35 AM
Most of us believe that the market will bounce back, and good news will eventually drive up market prices. Investors who stick it out through the bear market will find themselves in a better position to make money during a bull market. Either way, investors shouldn't ignore this period just because it's been a hard time. This is a chance to learn how markets behave in extended down trends. I'm confident that the lessons learned from this bear market will guide you to better decision-making in the future.
1918  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Biggest mistake in crypto? on: October 02, 2022, 09:45:44 AM

If you want to be a good trader you must be committed in some aspects among them one is selling your assets at a certain level. We often deviate from this track. Sometimes even if the profit is more than 50%, we wait for more profit without selling it. In return we fail to profit. Although many people consider it simple mistakes but it is definitely the biggest mistake trading business.

It's hard to remember how many times in the past I've made this mistake, and each time it was a lost profit. Now I try to take profits from every trade, sometimes I do it too early, but I do not miss the opportunity. When it comes to altcoins, then it almost always short term trades with stops and that's why it works for me. If we are talking about bitcoin, then I buy it for the long term and do not worry about short-term movements.

The trading crypto market is always in tension and money comes quickly, but also can disappear quickly, if you are not careful. The most important thing is to be disciplined and not to blindly trust the situation. The mistake most people make when first starting out is letting their greed get the best of them, and thinking they are always right. This especially holds true in a bear market as coins continue to go down, and everyone is trying to get out of the market. The most important thing is not to panic when the crypto markets go down and not to become greedy when the market goes up—and finally, always stay disciplined and do not let your emotions get the better of you.
1919  Economy / Speculation / Re: October price guess on: October 02, 2022, 09:09:05 AM
Severe inflation can affect the bitcoin market, but I think the same can happen to the stock market. A rate hike could also have a negative impact on bitcoin and stocks as the Fed plans to keep raising them until the end of the year. Of course something could still repeat itself as well as the historical price of bitcoin which might increase in October to December, but something could also change and the bearish continues.

I do not believe that bitcoin will last forever at the same level of popularity as we see it today. But I think it will remain a power, nevertheless. It is obvious that cryptocurrency has proved itself in recent years. It is here to stay and to grow, but not necessarily in its current form. That makes me think that one should be very careful about investing heavily in bitcoin. But in the end, it all comes down to the market's perception of value. Price isn't everything, but it is relevant in many cases.

The bottom line is that forecasts of the movement of Bitcoin prices are really difficult. A large number of events affect the capitalization of this cryptocurrency. This makes it extremely important to follow the global news.
