1941  Economy / Speculation / Re: Samsung Galaxy S10 Crypto Offering A bullish sign? on: February 27, 2019, 11:53:59 AM
It's not just limited to this, I'm sharing 2 more links:

https://cointelegraph.com/news/unconfirmed-crypto-startup-enjin-to-back-rumored-samsung-galaxy-s10-blockchain-wallet
^ A rumor which made ENJ pump like hell.

Another one:
https://www.chepicap.com/en/news/7718/6-projects-that-are-potentially-involved-in-the-samsung-digital-wallet.html
^ Watch this and you'll know which ones are involved (not assured though).

Whether it's a bullish sign or not for the whole crypto market, but it is definitely working out for those coins which are said to be used in Samsung's digital wallet.
1942  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: My computer crashed. Back up wallet.dat shows balance of $0 on: February 27, 2019, 11:41:34 AM
My computer crashed. I was able to retrieve the wallet.dat file but it shows a balance of 0 but I had about $2000 there. I re-scanned and re indexed but nothing. I am copying pasting wallet.dat in bitcoin folder. Please help. I am desperate. Wallet has fully synced.
You sure about the crush? It may be hacked, the hacker must've stole your funds. Check transactions in your wallet.

He would have already described it as a hack rather than a crash. Tell me how can a hacker specifically crash a PC? Because crashed PCs can't be hacked as they are not on, and hacker needs remote access even to get into that PC when it's switched on.

Op, please tell us did the method(s) work for you?
I had same issue but I was unable to recover any of my older files, a crash in which I lost 0.5 BTC, I didn't try too hard afterwards because BTC wasn't even $1k (speaking about times when we were in 2016).
1943  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where are the best conditions for trade / transaction? on: February 27, 2019, 11:06:18 AM
Only Cobinhood exchange that offer zero trading fee but the trading volume there lower so the spread will be higher. I think only Binance that provide cheapest trading fee with high trading volume so we get very low spread. I hope Binance will add OCO order so we can put stop loss and take profit at the same times.

What exchange names itself Cobinhood? It constantly reminds me of Robinhood, which made me think that it was a typo at first. Ridiculous name for an exchange, and their volumes ($750,000 total) are just as ridiculous. The zero fee trading is meaningless when there are huge spreads costing you way more than paying a regular fee on a reputable exchange.

Spreads have been a big issue and when these guys speak about fees, they always forget the fact that none of the exchanges can operate without a catch and they also need something for their server costs, domain costs, and significantly the trade engine through which they provide their services. And when there are services, how can anyone expect that these exchanges would provide them for almost free to their users?

Op, Bittrex is another good option where you can find good volume but still Binance is cheaper if compared in terms of fees because they allow BNB to be used as a fee token to save 25% on each trade fee.
1944  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie in crypto trading on: February 27, 2019, 10:54:53 AM
Buying NPXS could be considered one of the best decisions watching that they are now allocating all their tokens in the next 3 months. So after the distribution completes, I feel like Pundi X can gain back its momentum and go back 10 - 15x once again. I have studied their project very deeply and it looks like it will not take longer for this to take off once again. Don't forget that Pundi X burns their coins each time there is a transaction done.
1945  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is this the beginning of the arrival of a bull run? on: February 27, 2019, 06:52:45 AM
Don't know why it would fall when everything is down more than 10 - 20 times already. I don't see any such ground which can be called an exact support level from where rebound could take place. But this is the limit and everyone should accept it. Let me show you one more fact: https://bitcoinist.com/bitcoin-whales-stockpile-150k-btc/

This shows that those who are falling in panic selling their coins will definitely cry in the long run. This isn't 2018, 2019 will be a big game for Bitcoins. I'm not saying when, but a bull run is definitely waiting!
1946  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.05 BTC. on: February 24, 2019, 01:24:10 PM
Loan Amount: BTC0.05
Loan Purpose: Trading
Loan Repay Amount: BTC0.06
Loan Repay Date: 26.03.2019 or earlier
Type of Collateral: None as I'm enrolled in a campaign currently
BTC Address: 1J4YGjWGyWSQ1U8VCTUeXn3XqMxiUhheZ7
Confirmed the old address quoted in the OP is owned by 2double0.

Filled the loan:

9e25bbb34f3c4504f3275c93502afe82efec15ecd04581b1d9f9f19dfc48aa6b

Hoping that the coin you are investing in goes to the moon. Wink

Received, updated the OP and thanks a lot to you brother.
There have been many users making me think that this 0.05 BTC is going to prove a living in my life and they were just too frustrated they have become real world news reporters trying to gain some fame in the ongoing waves of ^suspicion^ while trying to become a scam-buster.

But thanks for letting me show the fact that I'm the owner of my account and I've proved it to my lender.  Grin

Thanks a lot to all of the critics, it gave me extra confidence that I'm a valuable member of the forum and I will get it. Now as I've got it, I'll show you people that I can repay as well, and those who were just speaking too much out of thin air will just regret. Locking this thread as I cannot entertain any more bullshit.
1947  Economy / Reputation / Re: There should be a public general elections on the DTs on: February 24, 2019, 10:30:35 AM
I'm talking about DT and highly trusted members' votes only. And if you think that they will do it based on their personal emotions over this
Essentially, you want DT to select future DT members.

I don't like that idea.

Which is why I'm asking this again and again that can't even DT members be trusted for this? Nonetheless, nothing will happen based on what we say and what we think, it's the admins' decision we will be following. Still, I think there is nothing wrong in asking their opinion on whom to be added to the DT members list, may it be public or in an encrypted format and only be seen by the admins.
1948  Economy / Lending / Re: Need 0.06 BTC. on: February 24, 2019, 06:32:09 AM
I have proof of the loan. It's being repaid.

Now, if someone wants to loan him again. I have no objections - he is asking it for a trade that I would make myself too. The account cannot be given as collateral though.

A question to you: was 2double0 owned by you? If yes then please post the details when it was sold and provide any details which will help community to believe that 2double0 is not in your possession.
I am confused both of marcotheminer and 2double0. marcotheminer advocate to 2double0. It seems both accounts is owned by the same owner. A lot of suspension suspicion on their behavior.

Nobody is advocating anybody. Marco doesn't want me to give my account to anyone as he released it to me to repay him by earning here. I'm not advocating him, he is correct at his place and I'm correct at mine.
And yes, it is not suspension, it's suspicion. FTFY.
Can't really understand that when I stopped asking you for loan, why are you dipping your nose inside when you are so confused and don't really understand that I'm the one and only owner of 2double0 and that I owe some BTC to Marco which is why he expects me not to give my account as collateral.

Anyways, it was a loan out of Bitcointalk as previously described.

Then it basically never existed and doesn't count as proof of anything.

Too smart?
Well, that's really good because if there is something that never existed only and doesn't count as as proof of anything, then it shows that I never took a loan from anyone (based on your comment). So, am I not eligible to get a loan for the first time here?

Did you repay the loan?

Partial, but not in full.

2double0 was never owned by anyone except me. It was true that I gave it to Marco as collateral long time ago in case of a loan, but he released it back to me to let me earn through signature and repay. I did make some partial repayments but it is still not closed. Anyways, it was a loan out of Bitcointalk as previously described.
1950  Economy / Reputation / Re: There should be a public general elections on the DTs on: February 24, 2019, 06:08:03 AM
I disagree. Your proposal increases centralization and is based on subjective whims. These cannot be categorically identified and are they will only be propagated by those of current-DT status which is a feedback loop you don't want to see.

Don't you think you are putting too much weight on the word 'centralization' here? I'm talking about DT and highly trusted members' votes only. And if you think that they will do it based on their personal emotions over this, then I ask you that who will vote to whom and why? Do they personally know each other? Will they vote under the influence that the member belongs to their country, caste, creed, race or whatever? Well, if this is to happen and if that's what you call 'centralization' here, I can say that even DT members can't be trusted then because based on your words, some of them may also be corrupt. Am I correct?
1951  Economy / Reputation / Re: There should be a public general elections on the DTs on: February 24, 2019, 02:36:19 AM
I don't really understand the logic behind selecting DT members or having an election in the first place. It's very easy you see, you spend some time on the forum, find a few members who you consider trustworthy or reliable or rational and then add them to your list? You can remove everyone else from the list that you don't trust. Instead of changing the system, change your trust settings babe.

I don't find anything wrong with the elections logic of some users here, but it should be limited to DT and some other highly trusted users only to vote for a new member to be included in DT (understand my words clearly, I said new member and not newbie).

What I'm trying to say is there should be a list compiled by DT members themselves which must be made public, and it should be restricted to DT and highly trusted members only to make them only capable of voting for a new user they think can add more value to the forum. I mean anyone who is helping the forum in any way should be considered to take part in DT elections.

1953  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Disadvantages of Gambling on: February 20, 2019, 12:08:34 PM
1) Gambling brings you loneliness, or makes you feel alone or want to be alone, it can isolate you from society or from other important events in your life.

Sometimes it makes me feel like everyone has turned into an enemy of mine who don't want me to enjoy my life the way I want to, through the source of gambling. Trust me, it happened so many times that I can't explain how exactly it felt, but then I feel the heat of guilt that's put upon me due to overthinking and not understanding that my loved ones are just trying to depart me off gambling to save me from its ill effects.

Quote
2) It can suck your energy or your happiness, it can get inside your head and won't leave you alone until you gamble again.

It is not less than masturbation or porn addiction when compared, the only difference here is money. Woah! Even porn needs money for those premium videos, how can I forget?

Once the faith in you is lost, nobody will be back in your life for your entire lifetime due to the fact that you are not willing to skip gambling addiction and move ahead.
1954  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How will the possible ban on internet gambling in the US affect Bitcoin? on: February 20, 2019, 10:34:53 AM
Do you think legal operations will close their doors and move underground?

If they do so, they will cut out a big piece of their revenues and throw it away.

Do you think it will only have a limited impact on Crypto currency prices?

Yes. Why are you thinking about adverse effects only?
Crypto is meant about anonymity and privacy, so crypto like XMR, Dash and other privacy-pegged coins will be used more because gambling is an addiction and nobody can prove this statement to be false. So who can save those gamblers, the real gamblers from gambling?

Will these operations move to countries that allow online gambling?

Quite possible because if they have alternatives nearby, why would they lose on their share of the revenue they are already getting in their field?

Will online gambling evolve into illegal sites on the Darkweb?

Yes, as I said before, there is a high possibility of gambling turning illegal at places where it will not be allowed so not to leave their customers in vain.
1955  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Where are you playing Poker? on: February 20, 2019, 10:10:15 AM
I have already got an account at SwC and playing some small bets on roulette as that's my speciality. Waiting for some more funds to come in to play poker there. I'm not too good in it as I stopped playing it 6 years back, what would be your advise whether I should begin playing it or not? Has anything changed or are the old tactics still working currently?
1956  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Which wallets support BIP 39 seed? on: February 20, 2019, 09:45:13 AM
I want a list of wallets supporting BIP 39 seed.
And that they should not be vulnerable to any hack risks because I don't want to lose my funds using BIP 39 method. Just testing at first to see if I'm fine with it for future use.
Links are preferred.
1957  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: If... on: February 20, 2019, 08:49:47 AM
If you're the one who gets addicted, what possibilities can you do?

If you're gonna ask me, maybe I'll first have a serious discussion with my wife bout the money that I will gonna spend at the casinos then later on we could have an endless arguement that can lead us into nothing. If I get addicted maybe there is also a possibility that I will certainly blame people whenever I lose on a game. (That's the attitude that I have and I don't want it to show.)

And you? Would you be the same? Or even worst?

I can break either mine or someone's head off while having a long losing streak because it's about losing temper and when anyone loses it, chances are he could either harm himself or others because he is so much into gambling he can't stop himself while trying to get back what he lost and if someone comes ahead asking him not to gamble, he starts thinking them as his enemies trying to stop him from getting his money back. But trust me, there's no way back once lost, so trying hard will only make us lose more in the long term.
1958  Economy / Gambling / Re: We are developing a new crypto game, where to announce? on: February 19, 2019, 12:09:48 PM
Hi all,

I'm looking for some beta testers for a new blockchain-game. I wish to announce it here on bitcointalk.
In order to make it more interesting for community we're going to pay $10-20 in Ether to anyone who joins the test and gives us feedback (it is very important to get third-party opinions on this stage). So I wanted to know - is it okay to place this announcement thread with all the terms in Investor-based games?
You should post in games and rouds, or if you only need tester - in services board.

Yeah, thank you! The first option is good for us:)

That's stupid enough to do it like that when you are giving a service only in the end.
Service Announcements - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=84.0
should be the board you need.

If you want beta testers, you can then post in either Games And Rounds or Project Development here - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=12.0
1959  Economy / Exchanges / Re: My fund in bittrex unauthorised withdrawal without 2FA code on: February 13, 2019, 06:10:38 AM
Can you check in your account settings which permissions the used API key had?

There are 4 permissions settings that you can turn on for Bittrex API keys: 1) Read Info, 2) Trade Limit, 3) Trade Market, 4) Withdraw.

If you gave the API key the permission to withdraw then you got the culprit, because from what I can see in the Bittrex API documentation their withdraw call doesn't check for 2FA.
Yup u’re right heretik this 4 permission setting all I on it,suppose the last one I off it for withdrawal part! Ohh no..which mean now all problem is come from me,I should untick the withdrawal part..shiit happen! Sad

Even if you remove that tick mark from the "Withdraw" part, nothing would happen as the master behind the key already took the advantage of your stupidity (sorry but that's really stupid to use API keys without knowing what you are playing with, API keys are not less than 🔥). But it definitely proves as a lesson for you and others not to do it like this again and carefully go for any API key in the future.
1960  Economy / Exchanges / Re: My fund in bittrex unauthorised withdrawal without 2FA code on: February 12, 2019, 11:22:41 AM
I know a little bit about this API thing.
If you allow to trade it, it will trade and if you allow it to withdraw, it will be able to send funds without your consent if you have not saved any 2fa security in your account. Did you check the API key in full before applying it in your account?
