I thought MMM was already down as a scam and the owner catched by the police? Do i mix something?
Anyway... 30% are surely not a healthy business model. Especially because they let everyone earn from it instead maxing out their own profit.
I rate MMM like Ponzi, we have to make an investment, then we must look for members to join and invest. after that we can only get 30% and they have accept bitcoin, a pretty good way to get 30%/month MMM in our country still active and it's growing much more. There are lots of member right now and actually they have setup a meetup recently. I know MMM global is really a ponzi but I just curious why here still have a strong foundation. Im not a member of it as MMM has a bad feedback in the past and up to now so I suggest to others especially in my country that MMM can't considered as part of method in growing their bitcoin. Nothing to wonder about. It's greed. People see the profits, your neighbour earned big and they want it too. Even when they hear from warnings. They hope they are lucky. Well, they need to learn it seems. And the reason it is still working in your country is that still are enough gullible persons that can be drawn into investing. At one point in time all these persons were catched and the pyramid scheme will crash.

My point exactly. The guards are a security risk as well as a feature.
But you dont let the guards inside the room, only you can access the room with fingerprint detector. The guards are only there to guard the entrance. And the room would be surveiled + movement detectors, so that nobody but you can go there undetected. Fingerprint detector... normal ones easily cheatable with a bit of tesa and glue. And i would not want to risk that some thug cuts away my finger so that he can get into the vault. Even when the reader is detecting blood motion... it can be faked and was faked already. I would fear for my health with these kind of systems.

Does an Open Source Trading Platform exist? Would this be a good solution for existing/new BTC exchanges? Some links to help you get started or make your exchange better... Trading Platform - Exchange/market side:Trading Platform & Protocols - Order entry side:P2P Trading Platforms & ThreadsThank you for this compilation, i know the thread has no answers since a half year at least so i would want to ask if there are new projects that should be added. I think it is a valuable ressource.

Everytime I try to make a trade it says all allocates funds are being used to hedge long positions in this market. Please try again later. Anyone know whats the problem?
BTC Leverage trading is at beta stage there. And they don't want to work with fractional reserve, which means you only can loan as much money as they can lend because they have it. They won't lend out more than that. And that is the error message you receive. I think it is a good decision to not risk the exchange with fractional reserve.

sitting in front of a starbucks the whole day to make $1 profit per hour? genius idea Roger. I'm sure you make great money with it
If you live in a developing country then this might be a great income. And it seems we have a lot of bitcoiners coming from developing countries. are there that many starbucks' in developing countries? doubt it. I doubt it too, only wanted to point out that many bitcoiners on BCT work for very small amounts of money, even the scammers. Lowest i know of was a scammer scamming for a half dollar.

1. Ja, 2. Nein.

There is a DOS attack against the blockchain going on right now. It's causing transactions to take longer than usual to confirm. In order to pull of the attack, the attacker has to pay a higher than average transaction fee. They will eventually run out of money and the attack will stop, but in the meantime you can send your transactions with higher fees to make sure that your transactions get confirmed instead of the attacker's (this will have the added benefit of forcing the attacker to spend through their bitcoins even faster to maintain the attack). Another attack...last 6 blocks (edit: and counting) have been hit. Example: #385910 with 19125 fake sigOps. The block is only 200KB despite a 5MB backlog (according to tradeblock). It seems this attack is very effective. Edit: #385911 unaffected (enough high-fee legit txs) #385912 = 18990 fake sigOps, 280KB. #385913 = 18945 fake sigOps, 281KB. #385914 = 17325 fake sigOps, 470KB. ...etc. I think it's not only that. The last days the bitcoin price was relatively volatile which mostly leads to a lot more transactions which then leads to full blocks and legit transactions not confirming. I found this website being valuable for checking the status: http://statoshi.info/dashboard/db/transactionsSo how more people get into btc, more transactions will come and when blocks are full, u just wait till the other block? So sending btc will take longer in the future? Even if u pay more fee, if everyone is going to pay more, then it is useless? You can wait for the other block but in the meanwhile already new transactions came to the pool that are worth more than 1MB. So it is not said your transaction will be included at all. And yes that will get worse as long as the limit is not raised. Though there are some people, unfortunately a lot bitcoin developers too, that want it that way. They want to let people use the lightning network and they want higher fees. It's completely nuts to force bitcoins into such limits when you go deeper in that topic. Though i'm not so very much concerned. At one point in time bitcoiners will raise their voice in favor of raising the blocksize limit. Developers will follow or have to leave the coding work to other devs.

Erstmal gibt man 100% seines eigenen Geldes weg.

I was reading through the forums and found that if I go to block chain or something I can verify that that person has the amount that I am looking for. Can someone please let me know how to do this. Here is a copy and paste of the info I am wondering how to verify: 3) Ask for his coin address and always search it on blockchain.info or www.cryptocoinexplorer.com to verify if his address has the amounts he is claiming. Thank you all in advance for the assistance. You need to get the address he claims he owns. Then you can check on a blockexplorer how many coins that address contains. But that is not enough since he could tell you a random address he doesn't own. You might either ask him to send you a satoshi from that address as proof that he owns the address or ask him for a signature signed with that address. You can check that signature then at http://wallet-2sx53n.sakurity.com/#verify and make sure that the address he signed with is the one he claims to own. If you did so then you can be sure that he really owns these coins. Not that proof of ownership is a very good system for building trust. No trust should be given until proper dealing happened. Until then, use escrow. That's right. Don't trust the person that he will pay after you sending something. Better use an escrow. You only can trust that this person controls the amount of bitcoins he claims to control.

Well now im curious what is that income from bitfinex what is that about support the exchanged or be part of it ,can you share more about it.
You can provide liquidity to traders that want to margin trade on bitfinex. You lend them your USD or BTC. And you get a certain percent per day for doing so. I would suggest using the margin bot, you can maximize your profits with that. I guess those option is the same that poloniex has, margin trade and able to lend for a fee soo sure its good as the altcoins and even bitcoin keeps up and down these days the fee is 0.01% at poloniex meaning almost nothing and there are around 400btc to lend. I'm relatively sure it is the same. The difference is that bitfinex is doing this since much longer time and the profits are higher, especially for lending out USD.

I think it must be around 3000 now. And yes, the previous posters are right. You should not reuse addresses. Better have them unique for one transaction.
The simplest reason is... why would you let everyone look into your wallet and let them know everything you dealt with, where you are invested, that you gambled or tipped cammodels on a sex site? But if your addresses can be connected then you reveal more infos about you than you would wish.
The risk still is there when you not reuse addresses, for example with change addresses since when you send a payment and you send from 2 input addresses than those 2 addresses are connected too, together with all transactions these two addresses had.
One has to think about that carefully.

Hello, how is possible to form a web agency company that also accept Bitcoin? what are the best countries to do that?
Thank you for reading
That country would be the internet. There is no physical country to have a store in where bitcoin would work. You need to offer your services on the internet and find customers that want to pay in bitcoin. Though there are already a number of people here on BCT that offer such services. You need to be better or promote better.
