1961  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin, I salute your final ATH. on: March 14, 2021, 02:49:10 PM
Lol, we are above 60k now Cheesy. 58k as "as high as bitcoin  will ever be" already broken, doesn't matter if it goes any higher or lower, it doesn't change the fact that bitcoin has reached 60k, this is already over and not even a remotely important to see bitcoin at any price. The premise was "bitcoin will not go above 58k again" and it did. Hence we can easily say that the fact that proudhon is a troll is true, that was just a simple cry for attention and nothing else.

There are tons of people online trolling others and writing stuff that are as obviously wrong as saying 2+2 equals 100, they do this because they get zero attention from any other human in life, it is really difficult for these people to communicate in other way or make friends so what they do is write wrong stuff and get attention and that becomes the only human communication they have in life.
1962  Economy / Economics / Re: Crypto Art record! 69M for a Beeple on: March 13, 2021, 06:44:52 PM
I have always said that these type of things reek money laundering by the highest levels, art is one of the most used things when we are talking about money laundering, you could be unsure how it is done but there is always a possibility that crypto is purchased with illegal money, and art could be bought with that, and then you could resell that art and get legit money, that happens in regular life, don't know if it happens in NFT at all but it looks quite possible.

I can easily say that art is not something you could calculate the price of, for some people this NFT could be 10 dollars, for some it is 69 million dollars, we all remember that banana taped to wall was something of a controversy because it was sold for 150k or something if I am not wrong, and we all know that banana taped to wall shouldn't worth that much, some guy took it and ate it lol, and that is why art pricing is always difficult for people outside of art world.
1963  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Caution: Don't get carried away by social media vibes while trading on: March 12, 2021, 07:03:02 PM
Lol there is really nothing new about this tactics, it is what is called pump and dump and there are people who their business is just that; they just go around looking for coins that they are going to pump and dump and that’s it for them, they don’t care about other traders or how their actions will be affecting those tokens, they are just interested in their pockets and that’s all.

So, it’s really nothing new, you will even see a lot of them that have groups on telegram and you will see them on Twitter and other social medias, looking for members that are going to join their P and D groups and they are also scammers. Best to stay clear from them.
1964  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin eventually crash? on: March 12, 2021, 06:58:43 PM
As for your concerns, bitcoin will crash since long time ago if there is no substantive thing, but as you can see now its price just make many people regretted to not buying it at the low price.

More than that, if bitcoin doesn't have a function then I guess there is no significant increase from its lower price $3500 because previously its price had been increased to $20.000 and crashed to $3500 but as we can see now $56.000 is a high price for an investment place.
There is always a function for bitcoin, even if we can say "running away from fiat to keep the value of my wealth" that would be enough, it is called store of value, if you can buy a house for a million dollars today, and instead you keep that million dollars in bank, in 10 years that house will be maybe 3 million dollars and your million dollars will not be able to buy that house, that is inflation, and with a store of value asset you put it in there, and it will at least give you whatever that house will be worth, maybe more as well like bitcoin, there could be lower periods as well when it goes down but if you wait enough it will break through that and go higher.

Think about buying at 20k and thinking how stupid you are for buying at 20k when it reaches 3k, but if you kept buying instead of being upset, it is 56k+ right now, you would have been richer. Hence the store of value is a valid reason, even if no other reason is given.
1965  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: March 12, 2021, 06:22:38 PM
In my opinion, it is an important loss for Ajax. He is at such a young age (19) now and I believe he is also a quite talented striker. He scored 4 goals and made 2 assists in the EL and the Eredivisie in total so far. I hope he glows up at Leipzig and plays at even the biggest clubs of Europe.
The weird part is the free agent deal, it was a transfer for free, I do not know what happened but dude definitely deserved a certain amount of transfer fee, I guess it is about contract or something? I really don't know what the cause is, I really don't but it is definitely an upsetting news to Ajax for sure.

In the end we are talking about Ajax here, sure they may feel a bit of upset over losing a player like this, but the reality is that they are a team that raises players and sell them, think of all the players they raised in the past 20 years and sold to other teams, they are one of the best academies in the whole world and I can think of only Barcelona as a team that raises better players from youth team, sure there are many players raised outside of this two team but Ajax is definitely one of the best teams to find diamonds from youth teams for sure.
1966  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Germany League - Bundesliga Prediction Thread on: March 12, 2021, 04:57:42 PM

I would love to see Leipzig take a leap on the standing and because Bayern will surely take another win from Werder Bremen Tomorrow and knowing Bremen it is an easy win for Bayern and having this easy win for Bayern Leipzig will be having a difficult time against Eintracht they could lose to this team let's say 3 - 2 or make the result a draw, for a team on the 4th standing this is not an easy task for Leipzig and in my opinion they will have a difficult time getting a lead when the wall would be Eintracht,

Don't get me wrong I surely do want Bayern to be champion aswell but Leipzig sure deserves a shot to be champion too, they would really need to put all their effort into making a win against Eintracht.
Werder Bremen is not really a great team to play and win against Bayern, well technically no team in Bundesliga could beat Bayern unless Bayern loses to them, even though we know that Bayern has losses and will lose as well eventually, it just feels like no team is better than Bayern so it always looks like nobody will beat them.

So, Leipzig will not be really going up just yet, sure they could beat Frankfurt and that looks possible but I believe Bayern will beat Bremen as well, and the point will stay 2 points as well. That is why I think it will not be doing anything different at all, both teams will win and just continue their dominance. I feel like there is really no situation that should bother gamblers though, you could just combine the two teams in one single multi and you will end up with a good profit in the end unless something shocking happens.
1967  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Ethereum on: March 12, 2021, 03:34:27 PM
Ethereum is a huge volume cryptocurrency and they have number of whales in current traffic. But we don't know when it will pump or dump in cryptomarket. I think surely next couple of months it will going to forward and we know all the coins are follow the BTC way so long term investors are make more profit in crypto platform.
There are way too many whales in ETH because anyone who is willing to spend 40+ dollars on just transaction fee is a whale in my mind, I do not get anyone who is not a whale but willing to still spend that much money on just tx fee that means they are doing something wrong. So, either they are whales or they are making a mistake because it is way too much to spend that kind of money.

I have seen projects literally ask for tx fee for their airdrops as well, obviously it is a scam method but airdrops became harder to do for places because we are talking about hundreds of thousands of dollars just to give people free tokens as well. I think it is clear that we should be moving away from ethereum and towards BSC because they are reaching to levels ETH never reached, we are talking about tx numbers 50% of eth but prices of 99% cheaper than ETH at the same time.
1968  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HoDL Pays Off Finally on: March 12, 2021, 09:22:42 AM
So finally holding coins thus pay off, there have been many doubts and complains in the past about if bull season will ever make a comeback, here we are today in another bigger and better bull season, how many of you dumped and give up before bull season begins? This is why patience is the key when holding coins

BNB was once 6$
ETH was once 100$
BTC was once 3500$
There are still some coins that are not created just yet but will worth a lot in 10 years, if you can find those coins and invest into them and can wait, you will be rich. People think that there is a limit to how big crypto could get, there is technically no limit, if USA can print 5+ trillion dollars inside one year and distribute to people, there is also a chance that bitcoin could become a 10+ trillion marketcap thing as well, could very well get bigger the more USD gets worthless.

This is why if you keep investing into crypto, in 10 years you may have enough money to just do whatever you want, we will be rich, that is the most optimistic I have ever felt about crypto because it has always been a bit of a risky thing in my mind, never really felt sure about it going up forever, but this year I have finally accepted that we are going to be always around.
1969  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Official betting partner of ARSENAL FC 🚀 on: March 11, 2021, 05:20:50 PM
Sportsbet needs to improve notification system on website, because I am always missing stuff like clubhouse raffles and special bets and I only see them here on forum Smiley

Both teams to score was a banker for PSG vs Barcelona match tooday in Champions League, and I am expecting to see PSG fighting with Manchester City for trophy.
Oh I don't know if anyone missed what Manchester City did with Southampton in Premier league with 5:2

there is usually no notification for promotions and the like. we check the promo page manually
That's something that means they lack more information, I mean it is both a good thing but also a bad thing. It is good for us because we know where they are and there are so many promotions constantly that we are always fed more and more stuff and that is why it is a great deal for us, who could say no to countless amounts of promotions, but it is also bad for them because they are something special with these promotions constantly being there but the reality is that they are still missing some parts marketing by not letting more people know, if you are doing promotion and only the people who play on your website already knows about it, that is not proper marketing, you need to make other people hear about it too.

Steve will probably read these and will let the marketing team know, after all the purpose of promotions is to get new players and at least half of promotions are not doing that.
1970  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - UFC Official Betting Partner - Play Smarter 🥊 on: March 11, 2021, 02:36:46 PM
Do you remember how Conor McGregor got a defeat from Dustin Poirier? Did we expect it? Unusual things are happening in fighting currently, so studying these players' current performances and watching only is the best option for now if you are not sure who to bet upon.
Yes, we didn't anticipate that coming and that's the option that we can do. Bet and watch, nothing more and nothing less. The disappointment of others from that match would even change later on.
And just move on to whatever had happened on that match.
Who really cares anymore.

Every fighter loses eventually.
No one stays undefeated unless they retire that way.
There will always be those who want to come after the belt for what ever division or weightclass your in.
McGregor was a prime example of this and his attitude suited having a belt saying he will take on all takers for his belt.
Because to honest, he didn't give a fuck. Grin
Another huge example could be Ronda Rousey as well, that was even more perfect example than anyone else. She fought 12 times and won all 12 of them, had 9 of those 12 games be finished under 1 minute, that's crazy stats for any fighter ever, another game ended at 66th second so she nearly beat all her opponents instantly, and 4-5 fights end under 30 seconds as well.

Basically she was the perfect fighter that nobody came close to beating, she destroyed all her opponents, she was doing better than anyone ever expected, last 3 fights of her before she lost was ended in 16 seconds, 14 seconds and 34 seconds, then suddenly she lost to Holly Holm and then to Amanda Nunes as well and just retired after that.

This is the perfect example that nobody can stay undefeated unless they just retire, it is like gambling, you may get lucky and have a winning streak but you always end up losing if you keep fighting.
1971  Economy / Economics / Re: How do you define rich? on: March 11, 2021, 08:49:47 AM
We all used to think that having so much money is what makes us rich. But I guess as time goes by, as we grow old, we see the true meaning of richness where having true friends, good health and happy family is what truly matters.
Actually, you have touched a good point, the meaning of rich changes with age and priorities.

When we are kids/teenagers, being rich means having more money and health is not a concern while fame is not in question. When we are adults let's say 25-40 yrs of age, the highest priority is fame, and money is the next thing while health is not a concern. When we reach our old age, we are most concerned about health while fame and money don't matter as much.

So, the meaning and definition of rich change with time and according to our needs. One who has a lot of money would wish he had better health while someone with good health but starving would rather want more money.

The true meaning of rich is: Having all the 3, health, wealth, and good recognition in society which is fame.
1972  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 10, 2021, 07:26:12 PM
*I still hope Chelsea can win the EPL this season 'lol'...
on paper, the points collected by Man City are quite a lot when compared to other teams and if they win 70%  from the next match then it is confirmed that Man City will be the champion. for Liverpool, well I'm sorry about their setback this season.
It is not just about Chelsea, closest one is United, which even beat City, but it is still obvious that nobody will catch them, league is basically over, United is doing awesome for the past 2 years, I think they are going to be challenging for a title very soon, last year it wasn't that close with top two but they were great at three (barely got there on last game I think) and this year they are second and doing fine, and next year I think they will either challenge for it or be close to it at least.

Everyone was talking bad about Ole at the start of the season, they should be ashamed of that right now because Ole basically managed to get the team all together and they have been awesome, look at Liverpool they are destroyed because of this covid season, it is very good job to bring the team to that level. However in the end City is the champions, there is not a single cell in my body that doesn't agree with that.
1973  Economy / Economics / Re: JP Morgan says large firms will not follow Tesla's bitcoin move on: March 10, 2021, 06:11:45 PM
We don't know their true motive why they are saying such statement.
From what I can see, the motive is to try and stamp his authority but he can't take decisions for others and if Tesla can accept bitcoins, there is every reason others might follow the same path. I was searching for JP Morgan net worth and it looks like $25 billion which is an astounding number but still way less than of Musk's and I think more people follow and admire Musk than Morgan.

I believe, I have had enough with JP Morgan. They can't dictate other big companies not to follow Tesla's move.
I think the same and not sure why his statement are even being taken so seriously because every company has their own right to decide and I heard some companies are offering their employee salary in bitcoin so its a positive move.
1974  Economy / Economics / Re: Covid-19, Lockdown and repercussions on: March 10, 2021, 05:04:18 PM
Here in India, the restrictions were lifted many months back and the economy seems to be back on track. People are now less bothered about the pandemic. There are multiple reasons for this. First of all, the fatality rate in India has been much lower than the neighboring nations. And at the same time, the vaccination program has been going on nicely and on average more than a million people are getting their doses per day.
The real question is whether people actually need vaccination because the virus is now almost over barring a few countries where still the virus spread is significant and concerning. I don't understand why they are vaccinating people though because it's just a wastage of money to vaccinate for the virus which is now near its end and vaccines have shown some poor side effects so why even risk injecting the vaccine when you can take minor precautions and within a few months things will be back to normal.

I don't think there was a specific problem I faced during the lockdowns apart from being more conservative and finding ways to kill time and sometimes find ways to earn some money. Even started trading during these lockdowns more seriously and I am among those few people who were able to utilize the time in the best possible ways, but needless to say, the pandemic was fatal.
1975  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do I need to pay Tax on my Crypto Gambling Winnings? A guide on: March 10, 2021, 08:18:19 AM
A common question that I see asked is "do I need to pay tax on my crypto gambling winnings?".
I don't know why such a question is asked in first place because winning money from lotteries or gambling is the same, either you win via fiat casinos or you win them through crypto casinos. It shouldn't change much and frankly speaking, hardly 10% of the players are paying taxes I believe who are playing at crypto casinos because otherwise they would be playing and enjoying at a fiat casino that offers larger benefits but requires KYC.

Good article nonetheless though and I think it might help some users who want to pay taxes on their crypto winnings.

Did you know there's already a user here call "BitEdge" who's profile has links to that site already?
Good catch but I guess OP might just be an author on the site because I have myself worked on a few sites as an author. Just my assumption.
1976  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2020/2021 on: March 09, 2021, 06:14:47 PM
Perhaps the issue is that they gave up months ago once they realised they weren't going to win the title... never suspecting that they might even lose their Champion's League place.
Assuming this is correct, then why they didn't woke up and start winning again? They are risking not only a spot for CL but even the EL one right now! Chelsea and West Ham won yesterday with 2 goals although facing good teams. No one will sacrifice its position for Liverpool, they have to resume winning or else it will be a disaster for them this year.
There is always this weird kind of situation where let's say you are playing playstation with a friend, and you let him get ahead because you know that you can easily beat him, but then he comes in and beats you instead, that could always happen and I think there is a chance that may have happened for Liverpool, they knew they would be easily in champions league, and they just let go of the pedal, and when they tried back again, they just couldn't figure out what's wrong and failed.

I really doubt that they would go to Europe next season, if they do that from here that would be an incredible achievement, I can say that there is a huge chance that they will be just playing league and fa cup next season and not going to play any european cup games. That will be a wake up call for them, they will realize what is wrong and be a lot better next year with some fixes.
1977  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Simple Question - Your investing Strategy on: March 09, 2021, 04:28:15 PM
Doesn't need long complicated answers - just a simple question:

Do you invest
1. mainly on price/the market trends
2. mainly on the underlying usefulnesss of the token
3. pretty even split of the two.
Definitely the second one, there is no doubt in my mind that second one is more important about why I should invest into a coin, it is basically a much important version of the first one. This doesn't mean that price of a coin and the market trend of a coin is unimportant, that is very important for a coin and that is  what we care when the price goes up we get happy because we are richer and when it goes down we are upset because we lost money, so it is quite important.

But, I feel like the second one, the usefulness of a coin is a lot more important, we are in a situation where we try to make as much profit as we can from a coin but we buy that coin for a reason, why do we buy that coin? Because we believe in the project, why do we believe in that project? Because, that project needs to have a use-case, if it is a useless coin that means it is a worthless coin as well.
1978  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Still a good time to invest or not on: March 09, 2021, 09:12:08 AM
Bitcoin and other altcoins are recovering fast after the correction since three days now, is this a good time to still buy few altcoins or this bullish trend is a hidden trap door to bear market?
For Bitcoins maybe it is a good time to buy some but I cannot say the same for altcoins because suddenly they start dropping and there is not much happening in other markets. At least with Bitcoins we can hold for few more months and know the price will only get bigger, which isn't always the case with altcoins specially Ethereum which has been getting a lot of hate from users for the high transaction fees and slow confirmations recently.

who knows, when America gets 1.9 trillion in support stock prices will go up again...
Oh yes; good point but I don't know if it will impact the crypto market by much.

In crypto you may miss opportunities if you wait too much to find suitable time to invest this is what I have observed so far but it's not mean that I recommend someone to invest blindly understanding the market trend is very important on both technical and fundamental basis after that we should made our decision of investing.
And if one wants to still blindly buy a coin, then I would say it must be Bitcoin above any other altcoin right now. There are some kind of problems with almost all altcoins at some point, and that doesn't mean they are worthless but their price can drop at any moment and when the recovery happens, only God knows. Like if the dogecoin market starts to drop, I would be sweating if I am holding them. That kind of sentiment is there for other altcoins as well.
1979  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Learning is better than Following on: March 08, 2021, 08:50:35 PM
The author is absolutely right. We must learn and not follow someone's advice. When we just follow the recommendations, we stop developing. And developing a trader involves a process of trial and error. Yes, we must make mistakes sometimes in order to progress. In addition, the one who simply copies other people's transactions may not always be as profitable as the one he is copying. It's all about liquidity and slippage.
I learned the same from what recently happened with doge coins, when Elon Musk tweeted about it, people got crazy and followed him and continued to buy more and more and ultimately they had to face loss as the price dipped by a significant value. I think it was around 8-9 cents and dropped to 5 cents. So don't follow someone blindly, rather think and then decide.

That's right OP, Learning is better than following. If someone is knowledgeable, just get knowledge from him but don't follow what he did. Make your own strategy and learn by yourself, don't rely on others, because you don't know if they bring you in a good direction which is making you grow and earn profit or in a wrong path to gain losses. Experience is always the best teaching method you can use rather than following others specially in investing and trading.
And following someone sets a limit to your expectations and growth. There are possibilities beyond expectations and we only need to be ourselves to explore the best possibilities out there.
1980  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What to avoid as a beginner in trading Bitcoin? on: March 08, 2021, 08:26:43 PM
Risk management is the most important part of crypto trading because crypto is much more volatile than anything else that we have used so far, this is why I believe we need to make sure that we do not take too much big risks, if we do that it could end up with a bad result.
Yeah, managing the risks and analyzing how much risk you are taking for what kind of reward is important. The Crypto market is already volatile and if you invest in even risky projects then it might be not worth it despite some of the projects paying off because most of the time promises will never be materialized into anything real.

I would for a new trader there are lots of things to be avoided like others have said: Greed, Panic, etc but I would say when you are new to trading what you need to avoid the most is being "rigid". You have to understand and correct your mistakes by using features like stop-loss at times and if you are not flexible with your trades you will suffer a lot. Also don't be too greedy, if you are getting 5-10% profit from a coin whose future is not secure better to cash it off than to wait for more.
