21  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Quit gamble! Easy or Hard? Let's talk. on: July 07, 2023, 10:02:41 AM
If to quit gambling is easy or hard it's very individual. If you are already addicted then it would be hard, not to say impossible, at least without proper help.
If you gamble just for joy or fun then it would be easy but in that situation why would you quit gambling? Only in case that gambling costs you a lot of money because of big losses.
My advice is always to use your head and common sense, don't ever let gambling gets you over and then there will be no need to quit gambling.

23  Economy / Gambling / Re: How succesful will AI projects be to win the house? on: June 05, 2023, 11:10:10 AM
I don't think AI can beat the house, it's just a program and AFAIK casinos don't allow their gamblers to use such robots or bots, so AI is fall in this category. If you're really on AI to beat the house and you can make an easy money, you're wrong because gambling is full of luck. If the result isn't like your expectation, you will be angry and you're want to recover your losses, in the end you will lose all of your money.

I think that there are different ways to use AI in betting, not only through various apps or bots that are not allowed anyway. By that I mean more in consultancy way. However, AI isn't some magic that will make you reach, it's use depends on quality of data so at the end it's again all about the humans, so some experience, knowledge and of course a lot of luck. I don't think that AI can help with that.
24  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Advice when you are going a bit far in gaming and betting on: June 04, 2023, 05:18:40 PM
This is just the basics, but anyone should be aware of it:

Budget: set it BEFORE you start gambling and stick to it.
Have a break from time to time, it is important to let your brain stop and consider.
Avoid drugs / drink as much as possible, they will make you loose some control innevitably.
Seek help if you feel you are no longer in control. Make a phone call to a friend or go out and speak with someone.

Anything else anyone can think of? Like... read this post before gambling? Tongue
What about stopping gambling and betting? Can you direct your energy in a positive and creative direction, and not in a senseless waste of time chasing a win? Gamblers don't admit it, but the main goal is still getting a win, and not a process. If you want money, then start working and earn money, and not lose your last money in slots. That is if you've already gone a bit far in gaming and betting.

I can agree that there are not such things like free lunch and miraculous wining of huge amount of money in gambling. However, not all gamblers play jut hoping to get rich but they really enyoj the process.
I also think that very few gamblers can actually make enough for a living, for majority this is just for fun and probably some extra money from time to time
And for those who are already addicted is not so easy to stop. I believe that most very active gamblers have specific mindset that is not so easy to understand for those who are not into gambling.
25  Economy / Gambling / Re: is KYC data on Gambling sites safe? on: June 03, 2023, 10:02:43 PM
To be honest, I didn't think that our personal data are safe anywhere on the internet and gambling sites are not exception. Personal data is very valuable goods online.
However, KYC is part of regulation and on legit sites is a must so we don't have much choice but to trust that gambling sire we use has taken all necessary measures to protect the date and that it will not misuse it. In general, the whole virtual space is about the trust but also precaution.
26  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gamble Responsibly on: June 02, 2023, 07:28:13 PM
I always wondered what is that critical point that one weak moment when gamblers loose their responsibility and self control? Is it when you have a big amount of money to gamble so you don't care or you too much under adrenaline to be able to think straight or is just the feeling of the moment and hope for big win.
I think that even psychologists and other specialist don't have the right answer to that but if you are aware that you are person that is very easily tempted maybe is better not to start to gamble at all
I'm aware of my weak point and when I might lose control so for know I'm managing to have it under control and act responsible but unfortunately I know many gamblers who don't have that ability.
27  Economy / Gambling / Re: Gambling is a choice. on: June 01, 2023, 10:13:33 PM
For the fact that gambling help eas some pain and passing out time it's become important that it becomes legalized but why most countries are against gambling is mainly because of its high addiction as it may bet some players tucked for life and end up struggling with that addiction for. Aveeyy a long time with its negative effects on the financial and general well-being of the victim.
But aside from that, I don't see anything bad with gambling and if one can properly manage it at the individual level everything will be fine.
Gambling is a personal choice; not everyone enjoys the act of gambling, and some go so far as to develop addictions. It is our priority to generate earnings for ourselves, especially independently; most teenagers are addicted to gambling, which is causing them to become buried in debt. I've seen several instances where people who are addicted are humiliated and have their crucial assets confiscated. Gambling is for our extra money, not for our budgets. I admit to engaging in gambling on rare occasions, and I keep track of how much I spend on it, I urged the youth to use caution when gaming.
True. Gambling is always a choice, and those who end up as gambling addicts are probably their own decision too. However, since we’re already aware how it can lead us to a worst situation, then we should always learn to control gambling urge because that will never make us profitable in the long run but will only mess with our finances in the end. And as much as possible, only gamble when you have extra money for pleasure, otherwise stay away from gambling if your money is only enough to cater to your basic needs.

Yes, gambling is a choice, a game and fun but I don't think that gambling addiction is also a choice. This could be very bad situation for everyone and I think addiction developes when we are not strong enough to resist and know ourselves and our limits.
So yes, gambling should be just fun game where you spend your extra money that you can afford and some winnings when they happen just make it more interesting and exciting.

29  Economy / Gambling / Re: Using ToS against users normal? on: May 30, 2023, 11:44:55 AM
If any one casino already have it in their terms and conditions that they can modify their ToS any time, that's a red flag and not safe to use, I will run away from such an online gambling platform because they can tramp on their users easily.

Its big red flag since you can use that if someone wants to withdraw a huge money on their platform and tell that the user violate some rules written on their updated TOS. If we can see a casino doing this much better if we could just avoid them since for sure they are shady and will not deliver good experience to their gamblers.

I guess there are incident like this happen so we also need to be vigilant if this happened on the casino where we currently playing.

In the last years I have witnessed a few cases where the ToS were changed without prior notice. In these cases, the terms and conditions stated that the casino could change the rules at any time without the need to notify users.

I have seen that other casinos set a 15 days period from the decision making to the implementation of the new rules, although I have reasonable doubts and I don't think that all users will check them twice a month for changes.

That is true, most users will not check ToS that often if ever. But casinos only take advantage of regulation rules that allow them to be too much flexible and change their terms because of their own benefit not considering too much their customers. But it's take it or leave it situation, it's upon every one of us to make necessary background checks and choose carefully the casinos we want to spend our money.
30  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why do you still want to play fake web2 casinos? Why we choose web3 casinos on: May 29, 2023, 10:40:29 PM
I just want to hear your ideas so we can improve our platform. Thanks to admins, they don't like decentralization and they moved our ANN to altcoin section again.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5453737.msg62314774#msg62314774

So lets discuss here. What do you advise to improve our casino to beat unfair web2 casinos.
The only thing you need is to do what you say you will do. There are casinos just like yours that will make a big promise but end up cheating there customers. That alone can spoil your reputation and make gamblers not to choose to use your casino and bet. Provide more games and increase bonuses because that will make more gamblers to want to bet since there are bonuses.

I agree that casinos should avoid big promises they didn't intend to keep just to attract gamblers. I don't believe that in essence casino's have intention to cheat because that will ruin them and their business sooner or later but sometimes they want quick profit and don't mind about fair and legit running of business. But any one of us has always keep in mind the nain reasons that casinos exist is profit in shortest period of time as possible.
31  Economy / Goods / Re: Anyone knows If i can sell my car with crypto ? on: April 05, 2023, 06:55:18 PM
I'm from Europe and so far I haven't heard that someone sold or bought a car with crypto. I think that is possible if you find some private person that is willing to accept the contract for crypto payments but I don't think there is any official car dealer that would do business with crypto.
Also I would be very careful with any online platform dealing with cars, it's always a risk.
32  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Your Kids Aware Of Bitcoin? Teach Them. on: January 27, 2023, 06:26:57 PM
First of all, i think I need to be getting married but I am currently im not married, and from that factual from that point obviously, i don't have any kids. But I do promise to myself that in the future i am going to teach them what is bitcoin and how to bitcoin and all that newbie stuff, obviously.

Having in mind how children learn very fast and that all information are available to them on internet and social media, it might happen that they will be more informed than you are.
I don't think that the information about Bitcoin and crypto are crucial to them, they will come to that by themselves, believe me. I think that it's more important to teach them how to estimate information they get, how to spot fake news and misinformation and use their critical opinion. Everything else, including Bitcoin, would be much easier for them.
33  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Describe what Bitcoin has done for you on: December 06, 2022, 06:25:52 PM
I had to say this Bitcoin really helped me. It was some 9 years ago when I first time started to use it. I was facing some financial difficulties and getting involved with Bitcoin helped me to earn some money and solve my finances. Of course it wasn't easy and I had to learn a lot but it was worth it. And I think that back then it was easier to make success with Bitcoin than it is today.
34  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: More reasons why it will always be Bitcoin for me on: September 30, 2022, 06:29:24 PM
The reason why people chose bitcoin as preferable currency is because you control and monitor it by yourself with out anyone interference. Why bank every of your deposit is in charge by them, and sometimes they will be a limitation of withdrawal from bank, why it's happening such way because it's a centralized, people found Bitcoin system of savings a safer, because you have access to your bitcoin and you are monitoring you coin at any point in time.

That is all true and Bitcoin gives us the feeling of independency and financial freedom. However, majority of us still can't rely only on Bitcoin without using traditional payment methods and banks. I don't know if that will ever change and will there be times when cryptocurrencies will be enough to cover all our financial needs but at the moment Bitcoin is good alternative, of course only if it's used with care and reasonable investments.
35  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will the price of BTC ever hit $40k again? on: August 15, 2022, 04:41:16 PM
If you're involved in Bitcoin for longer periods of time you will realise this situation isn't anything new. In fact it has been even worse but the price recoverd. Volatility is something we have to accept if we want to deal with Bitcoin.
Of course it's hard to tell how the situation will develope and I'm aware that current situation with price might take a while but the price will recover again.
How much and in what period of time I wouldn't dare to predict but ups and downs can't be avoided and patience and good planning are the key.
36  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: July 15, 2022, 06:05:44 PM
People between the ages of 18 to 45 are generally more addicted to Bitcoin and another cryptocurrency. But in this modern world even boys and girls below 18 years of age are now leaning towards Bitcoin. But in my opinion 25-40 year old people use Bitcoin the most. Be it boys or girls

I agree bit O wouldn't say these are people addicted to Bitcoin. Age 25-40 are people who probably have steady job or other sources of income to invest and these over 30 and closer to 40 are very likely involved in Bitcoin for longer period of time and therefore quite experienced and so far witnessed all phases that Bitcoin went through. So, to my opinion one who is investing in Bitcoin for longer period of time and it's patient and aware of all risks but also benefits of long term loyalty to Bitcoin is definitely not a teenager.
37  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will countries ban Bitcoin mining due to environmental concerns? on: June 08, 2022, 05:46:13 PM
Haters just looking for an excuse to ban Bitcoin mining, nothing else. For that reason, I don't think Bitcoin will replace by PoS technology. Because Bitcoin isn't controlled by a team that can move it easily. Miners would just move to reasonable places where mining Bitcoin is low cost and legal. They can't stop Bitcoin anyway, just trying to dump it.

I don't think this is about the haters and the excuse to ban mining
This is really environmental concern but compared to all other environment destroyers I don't think that Bitcoin mining has the key impact. So, I don't think environment will be the show stopper for Bitcoin mining.
However, I think that all Bitcoin users and miners shout be more aware of their impact om environment and try to find the way how to contribute to its protection.
38  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Concern of illegal use of crypto on: May 07, 2022, 06:14:42 PM
I think that is one of the oldest fears regarding Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, that is used for illegal and criminal activities. That was especially pointed out at the beginning
But I think that with time this has changed and that many people are aware now, including governments, that Bitcoin is not criminal currency and that they are probably not more misused that amy other fiat currency, especially when it comes to money laundering
So just use your comon sense and don't believe every bad thing you hear about crypto.
39  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why more women to trade crypto? on: April 03, 2022, 05:51:18 PM
I don't think that crypto trading and investing should be gender related. Everyone can learn and get information about cryptocurrencies and everyone should have equal opportunities to become successful in crypto.
However, at the beginning crypto was more men's thing that is true but I think that is changing and more and more women, especially younger ones are involved in crypto market. I don't agree with old fashioned thinking that making money is for men only.
40  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price support above 30000? on: March 14, 2022, 02:29:52 PM
Very happy because the price of bitcoin rose again above $40k, when the price of bitcoin reached $34 I thought the price would continue to drop and made me panic then I sold the price at $34600, although I regret selling bitcoin cheaply but I'm happy because the price of bitcoin rose again and I'm sure March will be above $50k.

Many made the sane decision and sold their coins but it's understandable. However, we have to bear in mind how unpredictable and risky these times are and how much any type of crysis can influence the Bitcoin price in both ways. Therefore we need to be prepared on every scenario but without haste decisions.
I'm not so sure that Bitcoin might cross $50 k so soon, maybe in the second part of the year.
