21  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 25, 2018, 10:48:31 PM
As some others have pointed out, a "Ponzi scheme", by definition, requires initial monetary investment, which is then used to pay the first investors, so those entering last are burned.  No initial investment, other than a little typing was required.  If you're going to call DO a scam, at least be more accurate.
This is not true. You need to own coins to get anything from "a little typing". So it's a ponzi with extra work involved for those who are being ripped off.

We're speaking at cross-purposes.  When the airdrop first started, no initial investment, as I said, was needed.  The coin wasn't even on an exchange, and couldn't be purchased, so again, it doesn't follow the definition of a Ponzi.  If you participated, you received some Onion, and it was only much, much later that the holding rule was removed.  The team literally gave the crypto away based on the rules laid out in the original signature campaign.  As I said, it was "just a little typing".  You could not buy Onion in the beginning even if you had wanted to do so.
Time is money. A little typing is not free. And you very well could buy Onions. They were also mineable and had a ridiculous amount of hash rate dedicated to them from the very moment they became available, which implies collusion. Everything about this is fishy and since the moment the rules changed it turned from shady to outright ponzi.
22  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is leading the Dogecoin Project? on: February 22, 2018, 03:01:39 AM
The original dev left the project long ago and touted it as a joke on MSM. From a technological perspective it's quite efficient though. And from a trading point of view it's been following predictable patterns for years.
23  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Wow! So much FOMO news on the Ripple XRP token atm. on: February 22, 2018, 03:00:14 AM
Banks don't care about Ripple and don't want to use their coin. They only care about the software that runs it, but they're not going to use Ripple, which defeats any case that could be made for buying into XRP.

25  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do I know a scam ICO? on: February 21, 2018, 11:07:34 PM
That's a question that is way too complex for blanket responses. But generally you would want to try to identify if an ICO is using buzzwords without conveying any meaning or if it's actually addressing a problem with a clear solution. Ask the devs a lot of hard hitting questions to check if they know what they are doing or if they are just running a marketing campaign that tries to sell hot air.
26  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: February 21, 2018, 11:03:04 PM
I think this is good for bounty hunters. Just because many people will think "F**k, again these difficulties, I have no desire to pass this KYC" and the bank will be distributed among those who are not lazy  Cheesy

An interesting idea. but I can not agree with you on this issue because it is not safe at all.
We participate in a lot of bounty campaigns and I do not think it's nice to give your credentials to someone else. It's quite dangerous Smiley
Agreed. This has nothing to do with laziness and everything with safety and privacy. Most ICOs are scams, so you don't want to give them your documents of identification. That's just asking for future fraud and identity theft.
27  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 21, 2018, 11:01:56 PM
Goverments could have influence on the prices of crypto.
But cryptocurrency was designed as instrument uncontrolled by goverments and I think that great times of crypto in future, but not this or nex year. But crypto expansion has started and it is unstopable.

That maybe true, and it is certainly within the ambit of the power of a government to do what they want with the cryptocurrency market in their jurisdiction. A government's power is encompassing to its territory, that's for sure. However, since a government is sort of a business entity as well that would jolt upon any opportunity they can get to earn more profit, then I don't think that a government would kill of the cryptocurrency market because, right now, it is a big market that commands a lot of moving assets that could certainly give lots of profit. I think instead of killing it off, governments would better try to assimilate the market to their local market systems that could help improve their economies, especially the week performing ones.
It's not within the power of a government to "do what they want" with cryptocurrency markets. It was obvious to anybody who understood Bitcoin, but lately even the FED and the ECB admitted that they had no power over Bitcoin.
28  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 21, 2018, 10:58:16 PM
The dev team is raking up the majority of the rewards, while new people who want to have a chance of getting Onions have to buy them on exchanges to get the "airdrop" (which is a bounty campaign). That's not an airdropped premine, that's a centralized scam and all the new people who are stupid enough to believe the lies and disinformation of hundreds of greedy paid shills are essentially paying those that came in earlier. DO doesn't offer anything of its own and is just a copy/paste coin with an obvious pyramid scheme going on. You just have to check the 10 richest addresses while excluding the premine addresses. It's obvious that the vast majority of coins goes to the dev team and that they're just dumping on those that are stupid enough to shill for them.

Looks reasonable. It seems like a Ponzi scam.
Only a few people control most of the coin. And from the "Free" airdrop, they are getting more and more.
I would be shocked if this turned out not to be a ponzi scheme. There's no indication of it being legitimate.
29  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can world Government Kill Crypto? on: February 20, 2018, 10:22:22 PM
It is not profitable to the government kill a cryptocurrency completely . You understand that most of the whales are politicians from different countries. They can come up with an order of taxation, a fee for special license. But the blockchain is progress. You have to be a fool to give up progress.
Politicians aren't whales, they're the puppets of (fiat) whales.
30  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can you tell the end is near on: February 20, 2018, 10:19:42 PM
If you have not seen the coins that have volume and are in the green right now, then you are blind. Totally useless bullshit coins getting volume, just shows what a total madhouse this crypto scene has become
The same happened during the dot com bubble. Doesn't mean that the internet was crap or that all startups were bullshit. It's your job as an investor to identify value and to get ahead of the crowd.
31  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is your involvment in crypto world? on: February 20, 2018, 10:18:18 PM
I pretty much only invest for the long run at this point, for which I research a project intensely for days or even weeks before pulling the trigger. Most of my time is spent on non-crypto things though (hobbies and skills).
32  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: February 20, 2018, 10:16:16 PM
Personally i felt kyc for bounty participant is not really necessary since they are not investor. Anyways that has now been the new rule of the day even airdrop participants are also mandated to do so before receiving anything from them

airdrop and my data.  Wink Wink Wink  I would never give my dates. no one knows who makes the airdrop but we should send our data? no thanks. but almost all airdrops are scam and therefore I do not care. I buy my token from the bounty cheap at the exchange. then I do not need a KYC and no shit airdrop  Grin
This is going to be the contrary force against KYC attempts, especially once decentralized exchanges become the norm. Startups that want more funds will either require incredible reputation (e.g. be a globally reknowned company) or otherwise not ask for KYC, even if just for smaller investments (which enables multiple accounts).
33  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WARNING DeepOnion is a SCAM, proof inside! on: February 20, 2018, 10:14:28 PM
I hope you didn't run the wallet on a system that has access to your other coins, since the wallet is closed source and could very easily contain malware.

Hm, you got a point there.

To be fair though, one can get an open source client if one wants to. They have code on github.com/deeponion and one can compile a working client with it (all external dependencies from independent sources).
Fair point and should be heeded. It seems like a terrible idea to not self-compile their wallet at this point if you choose to get involved (which nobody should).
34  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of DogeCoin on: February 17, 2018, 11:21:15 PM
DogeCoin  has no future.
Dogecoin is not doing anything that will effect their price.
It doesn't really have to. It doesn't look like Doge is just going to die since people can trade it and it has quite a large volume. And as a coin it's quite decent from a tech perspective.
35  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Yesterday India, today china, tomorrow USA on: February 17, 2018, 11:19:29 PM
I have read all 7 pages OMG i don't know how I did this, but was pretty usefull I found some really new information about things now
But yeah tomorrow USA!
Doesn't really seem like it. Wall Street is prepping ETFs, so while regulation (or attempts of such) is likely there probably won't be any bans.
Good news for crypto users, I expect no more negative issues.
because Bitcoin is very vulnerable to the issue, thus making panic and falling prices.
Good and bad news always come in cycles. I'm not sure to what extent this is a coincidence and to what extent certain people are trying to manipulate markets... But in either way, I think it's safe to assume that there'll be more negative news in the future. But that won't be a problem anyways due to the decentralized nature of Bitcoin.
36  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: KYC of bounty hunters on: February 17, 2018, 11:18:19 PM
what would be KYC?

It's an abbreviation for "Know your customer". A legislative measure by regulators to keep tab on the identities of customers to curb tax evasion and money laundering.
37  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: February 17, 2018, 11:16:55 PM
There are no big differences between bitcoincash and bitcoin. so if bitcoin kills, higher quality projects such as ethereum rise to first place.
There are huge differences... BCash is the tool of a criminal who doesn't mind using lies, propaganda and other illegal tactics to try and increase his wealth.
38  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC is dead. The plan is a shift to Bitcoin Cash. on: February 16, 2018, 11:35:59 PM
sorry roger sir ,
i agree btc is slow ,
also agree on high fees part , and it does not serve purpose of daily payment .

but still bcash is not solution , and bcash is really not bitcoin that satoshi dreamed .

waiting for lightening network , hope you will help it instead of forcing others to agree bcash is real btc .
Even Microsoft agrees that BCash will be trash in a global economy.
39  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of DogeCoin on: February 16, 2018, 11:35:20 PM
Dogecoin is not doing anything
Dogecoin is on 25 place and it will fall for sure,
Don't invest on Dogecoin.
Doge is a fairly predictable coin for trading.
