You two get a room.

We actually do have a room. It's right here, in the foxhole Roll Eyes Everything goes on here -- multiple partners involved too Cheesy

Not that I am embarassed, but because she/he/it is not aware that I am a foxpup.

I assume you also didn't share that you are in love with me. But it's okay, it'll be our dirty little secret <3 Roll Eyes Kiss Kiss
203  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Avatar for Rent [first 🦊🦊🦊🦊4 YEARS🦊🦊🦊🦊 (259 weeks) rented out] on: March 07, 2024, 05:38:54 PM
Which, if I've done my math right, means next week will be the fifth anniversary. Prepare for celebratory shenanigans.

This also means the below part is coming soon  Roll Eyes

All I want is the info regarding the surprise. And I want it desperately  Tongue
O M G! I did not see that coming though Smiley "Desperately", huh? Now that's intense...  Roll Eyes

2. I hope that I have included all the foxes. But if not, I am willing to take the responsibility and be publicly beaten, or punished in any other way.

Oh sweet Jesus! While I blushed reading all your nice words about all the foxes, I need to ask you this: dear apogio, do you have a thing about being beaten? =))) I see you still keep insisting on this, although I thought we settled once about using a sexting sexed in approach. Are you okay? Or into BDSM perhaps? (Not that there's anything wrong with THAT Smiley)

Tier B: writing a love letter to GazetaBitcoin. Don't ask why, I just love this guy Tongue

Awwww -- blushing <3 I have no idea what's happening here, but in last 2-3 weeks or so I've been kissed (by a forum woman, that is); a Pakistani translator called me their darling and expressed an unconditional love between us (not sure about their gender, but it is not an issue anyway); and now apogio loves me. I think my natural magnetism reached a top level.

Is it hot here or is it just me?  Roll Eyes

Tier S: <let's see what can fill this gap>

For some reason I could not refrain remembering these lovely words:

205  Bitcoin / Wallet software / Re: Jaxx Liberty wallet shut down || Attention, Jaxx users! on: March 07, 2024, 09:43:42 AM
Thank you for this input, logfiles. You are right about Exodus. I only meant to explain how Jaxx users can retrieve their funds using a solution they provided. Of course, after retrieving the funds from Jaxx, everybody should use a more appropriate wallet, not Exodus. Exodus was thou one of the two solutions offered by Jaxx, so there was no other way to obtain those funds. But I agree, there are better wallets than Exodus.
206  Economy / Services / Re: LoyceV's Avatar for Rent [first 🦊🦊🦊🦊4 YEARS🦊🦊🦊🦊 (259 weeks) rented out] on: March 06, 2024, 11:48:13 PM
If someone were to offer wine from plastic bottles, it would be a real celebration.  Roll Eyes

No worries here, leave that on me 😅 as usual, fillippone will LOVE this!
207  Local / Discutii Servicii / Re: eXch – schimbă instantaneu BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: March 05, 2024, 05:03:43 PM

Tocmai am adresat intrebarea si in topicul lor principal.

Printre altele, se gasesc urmatoarele: pair with Bluetooth devices, access Bluetooth settings, have full network access, view network connections, receive data from Internet, view Wi-Fi connections, access [various] APIs etc.

208  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: March 05, 2024, 04:55:40 PM
I am coming back on this thread after a small discussion had with NeuroticFish in the Romanian translation of this topic. Among others, were wondering what information is using (and storing) the eXch app for Android. We understand that some information are forced to be accessed by the Android system itself, but other than that what information does the app collect and store (if any)?

If OP could come with such details it would be very nice.

210  Other / Meta / Re: [Results 2023] Bitcointalk Community Awards 🏆 on: March 01, 2024, 08:46:55 PM
I take this opportunity for thanking a lot for eveyone involved in this contest. To icopress for his very, very hard work for making this contest possible each year since 2020. Now he also made an amazing announcement about the Pizza Baking contest and some incredible prizes too! Chapeau my friend! Plus -- all the organization, finding sponsors, discussions with forum administration -- all these take time, a lot of time, patience and dedication. He is truly admirable!

I also want to thank all participants (nominees and those nominating them) for being part of this amazing contest! Thank you also for keeping the contest clean, respecting the rules more than before and for keeping clean the topic with the votes. This is an extraordinary help in counting the votes -- having that topic very clean.

I also want to thank to those which voted for me and made it possible to receive these nominations. I was simply astonished seeing all the votes I received! Thank you all for that!

I also want to thank to Jambler for their generous sponsorship! That was very kind of them and made the contest very appealing! Same thanks go to the forum administration!

I also want to thank to everybody which congratulated icopress or myself for the work done. I thank you all for such appreciations. There are just so many posts with such congratulating messages and I can't quote them all. But I thank to all for such kind words. I really felt touched...

I will address below 2 more aspects, which caught my eye within all the posts made inside this topic.

I can't comment on the alcoholic part, but shouldn't the last "2nd" be a "3rd" (for the Golden Feather)?

Why not comment on alcoholic part? Smiley We all have good expertize in this part =)))

Other than that, good point LV, thank you for mentioning this!

Both o_e_l_e_o and I had the same number of votes (27):

Golden Feather

fillippone (41), o_e_l_e_o (27), GazetaBitcoin (27), LoyceV (26), JayJuanGee (24), DdmrDdmr (23), The Sceptical Chymist (10), theymos (9), LFC_Bitcoin (5), philipma1957 (5), CryptopreneurBrainboss (4), d5000 (4), Pmalek (4)

In respect for him, for all he did on the forum, I listed him in front of me, as he has all my appreciation.

Given the fact that such extraordinary situation occurred (two winners to have same votes), icopress took a very kind decision regarding the prizes and decided the following:

Also, users who get the same number of votes will share prizes among themselves (for example, if it is 2nd and 3rd place, etc.).

In short, the enumeration could have been done in any order, but this was a sign of pure appreciation for o_e_l_e_o Roll Eyes

@GazetaBitcoin: Were you responsible for counting the votes?

Yup, that was me.

If so, thanks for helping icopress (seriously), but I have to ask: Were you maybe drinking on the job, friend? Too much plastic-bottled wine? Tongue

Loooooooool! At same time, thank you for the appreciation and also for the good laugh Smiley

(The reason I ask is that if I count the votes myself I get slightly different results than yours. Maybe I'm drinking too much, I don't know; see below.)

I will (triple) check this, thank you for mentioning this to me. I can not in this very moment but I will. What I can say though is the following:

(1) Human error is possible. I am not a machine, so it is possible. I counted votes 2-3 times to make sure everything is right. (In some cases I asked icopress too.) However, even if there may be small discrepancies between your calculation and mine, they did not influence the final outcome.

(2) As stated by contest rules, some votes may have been not counted. Some nominations could have been simply breaking the rules (and on purpose I disregarded them -- example: I still counted franky1's votes for Antihero, although he merited most of the nominations, for cancelling them) while some did not meet certain criteria. So the total number of nominations within the thread, made by all users involved, is not reflected in the number of nominations shown within the table from OP, as some votes were not counted.

Thank you again for asking this question. And, as icopress already said, maybe next year you can give a hand of help too?  Wink
211  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: March 01, 2024, 08:13:43 PM
Friends, I have great news for you!

I just saw this post a bit earlier and I already registered the raffle!

Thank you eXch and icopress for making this possible! Thank you paid2 as well, for organizing the raffle! I tried to bring a bit more popularity to the raffle by announcing it also in the Romanian translation of this topic.

The prizes look very nice and I am sure the winners will be very happy Smiley
212  Local / Discutii Servicii / Re: eXch – schimbă instantaneu BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: March 01, 2024, 05:10:26 PM

214  Other / Meta / Re: Save your nice merit records here - LAST UPDATE: 12/07/2023 on: February 29, 2024, 03:24:19 PM
I'd say you really deserved it. I wasn't wrong when I sent you a merit back in 2019.

Thank you nakamura, that was very kind of you.

I'd say criptoevangelista is very much like your fan.

If so, that flatters me  Roll Eyes

You are humble person for thanking all which made it possible but it doesn't seem that way as I see it. This is what I can say about it, you made it possible because you work hard for it and other forum members saw your potential and the things you can do either a contribution to the forum or a support to someone being taken advantage by supporting a flag (data shows in BPIP that you supported 279 flags and not look at the incredible achievement of reaching 6k merits.

nakamura, this is a very interesting point of view and thank you for sharing this. I never thought about it. I also never saw anyone ever making such reference on the forum -- about how many flags someone supported. I don't even know if the number is big or low, compared with other users Smiley But the number itself -- 279 supported flags -- seems a big number... Indeed, I involved in supporting flags against scams but I really never thought about how many I supported during time... So thank you for this as well!

Statistics:
  • This year we had 186 unique users nominated for 10 categories. Excepting them, some were also nominated as being event or fail of the year. In comparison, last year we had only 166 users being nominated.
  • The greatest number of nominations received by a user was 81 (theymos at Hero of Good category). Last year he was also the one with most votes (87) at same category.
  • The biggest difference between a first place and a second place was 60 votes (theymos vs fillippone, at Hero of Good category. Last year biggest difference was of 62 votes, between PowerGlove and n0nce, at Discovery of the Year category.
  • franky1 tried again to abuse the system, just like last year, by meriting those who nominated him as antihero, in order to have less votes at this category. Similar to last year, his attempts were not counted. Also similar to last year, he "managed" to keep his second place at this category.
  • There were still some cases when some votes were denied for breaking the "no-merit rule" (but way less than last year, which is great).
  • Votes of SPARE, ColdLava40 and speeder were not counted, as they have less than 50 merits earned.
  • Votes for inactive users, such as satoshi, were also not counted, due to their inactivity.
  • Some mentions of event / fail of the year were merged all together, as they written with words suggesting same idea.
  • Some votes for nominees which had their name spelled incorrectly were merged together (Ratimov & Symmetrick, e_o_l_o_e & o_e_l_e_o etc.)
  • The votes for "TalkImg" at Discovery of the Year category were not awarded to Joker_josue, as "TalkImg" was not a forum username. However, this did not stop Joker_josue to win first place at this category.
  • The ban of mixers was voted as most important event of the year and also the fail of the year. This should say a lot about how this decision was perceived by forum users.
  • Forum's queen seems to be the solitary leader at Miss BitcoinTalk category, winning first prize for 3 years in a row now Roll Eyes Same is true also for TryNinja, which won for last 3 consecutive years the Bitcoin Ninja category. Furthermore, o_e_l_e_o kept winning at Bitcoin Geek category for 4 years in a row -- WOW!

From the pictures you posted the box looks the same as any regular Ledger Nano X. Other versions have different boxes to be able to tell them apart without opening them [...]

The barcode is the European Article Number, it's a number used to identify a product. Unfortunately, it only shows as a Ledger Nano X. [...]

I believe that this is probably what you claim, as you got it directly from them. But for anyone else there's no way to know, or to prove to anyone else that it's a special version, without opening it.

I understand your point. And it makes sense. For such cases (involving trust / lack of trust) an escrow can be used too. I don't mind working with an escrow, if it's one from this list, as I trust most of them. So in case you are interested in this product we can work things out in a way or another. Please let me know.

A new translation has been added to OP:

With this occasion, the Urdu becomes the seventh language in which all my topic are translated. For obvious reasons, I am more than proud about this! JunaidAzizi, thank you for this collaboration and for the patience and efforts you did in translating all these topics.

Let’s say Gazeta industrialised my idea and pushed it to the limit.
I am an amateur; he is a steamroller in the translation business (or every business he is involved in, as far as I know).

Awwww, such words make me blush, amico mio! Thank you... I did not know my thread will have such success... but I am glad to see these essays translated so many times... And yours, of course, are just so useful for many people thus I am also very glad to see them translated in other languages... For me it was a great honor to translate all your topics!

GazetaBitcoin you are doing well in the forum by making local users to be active in their local boards and in the translation threads. Since when I did the translation for you, I have not visited this thread to see how it is. And it is today I am visiting to see my transactions and others. I have been very active in fillippone translation thread. I really appreciate your for given me the opportunity to translate your work. It is an honor to me. Thanks for moving along with the local board participants.

Thank you, Agbe! It was a pleasure to collaborate together and I am more than glad to see you involved in translating fillippone's words as well... Smiley
