201  Other / Off-topic / Re: OnePlus One "Cheap" High End Smartphone on: April 26, 2014, 02:41:02 PM
This could actually make it possible for even more people to own a smartphone. And if it's good I'd totally consider that to be my next phone (I'd probably install Ubuntu on it though. If there's a stable version available of course)!

You can instal ubuntu on a phone?
They're currently developing it. It's not stable yet though!
http://www.ubuntu.com/phone

When is it being released?
I don't think they've set a date yet, but if you want updates you can add your email address to their mailing list: http://www.ubuntu.com/phone/register
202  Other / Off-topic / Re: What should I learn to code? on: April 26, 2014, 02:16:20 PM
I'd say PHP.
If you want dynamic websites and server integration it's your best shot IMO.

Okay, I'm using this site now http://www.codecademy.com/tracks/php
But I have heard it tells only basics so where should I go after that? Any suggestions?
I'd recommend you borrow a book or something like that from the library. Usually they have a computer section with "how to code" types of books.

Because if they do they can get married in a church and the get to be buried on a churchyard. Also it doesn't cost that much per year, and most of the money goes to maintaining the churches and charity. Charity for all people, even the ones that's not christian.
Very few people actually believe in god though, and almost none goes to church, so there's no repercussions if you don't.

Oh.. so the situation is very similar to the former USSR. People used to go to church just 3 times in their whole life. 1. for the baptism 2. for the marriage and finally, 3. the funeral.  Grin
Haha, yes, exactly! Cheesy
The big difference is that Christianity is the official religion, and the government doesn't hate religion! Cheesy

Where I live people get more surprised if you ARE religious. About 65% are members of the church though, but very few actually believe in god. And religious groups are very respected and not looked down on either.

Getting confused here. If they don't believe in god, then why should they maintain their church membership? Is there any advantage of being a church member? Or do the non-members face any discrimination?

They probably face discrimination. In my area, most people are members and go to the church. You would be a very big anomaly if you were saying that you're an atheist to everyone. They would probably never look at you the same way. That's actually ignorant. They think that what they believe in (there is a God up there and..) is the only truth. They don't leave room for other possibilities.
Over here you will be anomaly if you do go to church regularly. It's funny how big parts religion plays in society depending on where you live.
209  Other / Off-topic / Re: Fuck Summer! on: April 26, 2014, 01:26:49 PM
The perfect temperature for me is +25 C , Drink some cold drinks and you are good to go.. mmmm... Summer forever.

Having summer constantly would probably be boring.

Oh I am pretty sure it would be great ... Tongue I love summer and even when computers get hot I prefer summer much more than winter or spring and autumn.

I think when I will get rich and old Smiley (IF) I will change my location to some nice country when sun is on the sky all year long and minimum temperatures are 15*C.
Sounds nice… I'm thinking of buying a small island in the Carribean or the Pacific if this bitcoin thing goes well. Let's hope it does! Smiley

Good question, but I think I'd be open to most weird stuff with the right girl. Nothing that would risk to permanently hurt me though. Tongue

That's the thing with bands, you can change the guitarist, the bassist, the drummer and pretty much everyone, and still have the same sound. But you cannot change the vocalist, because ones voice is unique and if replaced everything get a whole different sound.
So, OZZZZZZYYYYYY!!!!
212  Other / Off-topic / Re: Porn sites on: April 26, 2014, 10:34:19 AM

God knows how many of these sites have trojans and keyloggers in them. My advice: if you deal with bitcoins regularly, then keep out of unknown porn sites. Stick with the known and trusted ones.  Grin

Be cautious while browsing any of those sites. Even if you are curious to browse those sites , use virtual machine .You may get malware from any of those sites .
Or use linux or mac! Or why not linux in a sandboxed VM on a mac? Cheesy
That would show those hackers a thing or two! Grin

I use Linux, but it's not a cure-all. A stupid user on Linux could be infected by an attacker just as easily as a stupid user on Windows.
Yes, but even a stupid linux user would not have to worry about all the windows malware, which is the absolute majority of all malware.
And running linux in a sandboxed VM on a mac would stop even more of all malware. You can never be 100% safe though.
213  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin 2.0 on: April 26, 2014, 10:27:07 AM
Here is a list of coins I heard when people talked about bitcoin 2.0:

https://ripple.com/
http://namecoin.info/
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=345619.0

This list is probably different for everyone and some might consider FlorinCoin, AmericaCoin or similar as the new cool thing.
None of them will be "Bitcoin 2.0".
I don't even think there'll be a "Bitcoin 2.0", thanks to its open source nature. All improvements (that doesn't fuck up the protocol) can be taken and implemented in Bitcoin.

Use the "Reset blockchain and transactions". I think that could solve it! Smiley

215  Other / Off-topic / Re: Religion Poll on: April 26, 2014, 10:06:11 AM
everyone always asks questions about the belief in "god" but it's never defined.. god is a word that has to many meanings. i don't really know how to answer such a question.

Agnostic then?

that's what i usually tell people.. i'm glad i'm not an atheist, because then i'd have to tell people that i am one. it's become cult-like and they make me cringe as much as the churchgoers.
Atheists seem to be looked down upon a lot by society, at least in the places I have lived. Most of this comes from the fact that many go around saying stuff like "theists are stupid" or "use common sense" or just trying to convince everybody to change their beliefs by insulting their religion (militant Atheists). Luckily, that is just some. I believe most Atheists don't do this, and that people usually generalize against them just because they never hear anything from respectful ones. It's pretty much just racism and prejudice against them.

Agnostics seem to get much more respect, usually.

Which country is that?
Sweden. And almost only old people are religious, and many of them are not. Last year the church lost about 70000 members, and that trend has been going on for a while.
216  Other / Off-topic / Re: How much of a role does alcohol play in your lives? on: April 26, 2014, 10:04:03 AM
I don't drink at all, I don't like the way it makes me feel.  Usually after a couple beers I'm ready to go to sleep.  Then I wake up feeling like crap.  But I do smoke weed occasionally.  I also think it is downright silly that social activities are supposed to include alcohol.  What do people do on the weekends?   They go to clubs and drink.  Why?  The last thing on my mind after drinking is sex.  And when I drink I do not behave like myself.  So lets all drink and act like someone else and socialize, great idea.  Two beers for me equals a limp dick and bedtime.  Oh and I forgot, the music.  We want to socialize but we turn the music up so loud you can barely converse.  Makes perfect sense.
That's because we are afraid. We're not happy and secure with ourselves, and we want to be someone else. Do stuff you wouldn't do otherwise, and if you fuck up you can just claim "I was drunk".
Well when you drink you're more relaxed and so. I'm almost the same when I drink and don't. Although I have more fun when I drink, i wonder why.
Because your mind registers all impressions much stronger than they really are. The alcohol makes parts of the brain stop functioning, and the more you drink, the less works. So when you're drunk some filters and stuff stop working.
That's also why you die if you drink to much, because then the most vital parts of the brain stops working (breathing and heartbeats for example).

i love the ordinary day between september up to February not so hot and not so cold perfect weather to me since im living in a tropical country
Yeah, it's good if you're in a tropical country. Over here it gets gray, dark and cold during these months. Ice-cold rain and wind during October/November, snow mixed with rain during December, and heavy snowfall January-February. Worthless climate I live in… Tongue

219  Other / Off-topic / Re: Movie Recommendation Station on: April 26, 2014, 09:46:35 AM
I didn't see it until a few weeks ago. I was surprised that I'd never even heard about it! I mean a movie that good? It definitely deserves a place on ones top 10 list!

u from merica? everyone talks about shawshank redemption.. if you were to poll all americans, it would be at the very worst a top 3 film of all time.

everyone talks about fight club as well, though i'm not sure it's held with the same esteem as shawshank.. pretty close though.
No, Sweden! Smiley
Hmm? Fight Club huh? I've never seen that one either! Maybe I'll see it tonight, its wikipedia page sounded pretty good! Wink
I just got done watching Divergent and if your patient the film is pretty good as the story builds.  Not a classic IMO but it's worth watching and recommending IMO.
Everytime I wanna watch a youtube video I have to watch the Divergent trailer first. I'll probably see it when it's released here, or when there's good version on TPB! Cheesy
220  Other / Off-topic / Re: How, in the end, do you think the world will end? on: April 26, 2014, 09:40:56 AM
we have been slowly killing earth for ages by polluting, exhausting natural resources etc. This is the ultimate end but something might come before that, all it needs is a large asteroid or huge solar burst and whoosh.. we are gone.
Statistically looking it's more likely that something else will kill us in the meantime. It could just be as simple as an asteroid. We can't stop those remember.

yeah, unless obama comes up with something like (landing on the asteroid in bugatti space shuttle, drilling 100m hole with hilti drill bits and blowing it to pieces detonating a russian nuke) armageddon style Smiley
There are actually serious plans to do so if it happens.
Let's just hope that it doesn't happen right now, cause then Russia and America would just be fighting on whom would get the biggest bill from it, whom'd get the honor from it and if Crimea is Russian or not! Cheesy
