How are you guys turning your bitcoins to cash? I'm cutting out Coinbase.

You couldn't pay me to use a US based exchange.

Your best bet is private deals through localbitcoins. If you prefer exchanges, Bitfinex, Justcoin and Hitbtc are all good options (none of these exchanges would even dare to ask you what you are doing with YOUR money).

The balls on Coinbase!
202  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [PoS+PoW] eXocoin [EXO]-gen 2.0- dev. from scratch! Give-Away | Open Beta on: August 20, 2014, 07:18:23 PM
tomorrow will be 1 month since tha last beta version was released Grin

The dev stated he is on a business trip. He'll be back by the end of the month and I have no doubt EXO will launch in September. It's almost ready to go, just a couple of minor things to work out. Does anyone actually believe the dev would walk away after all the work he has put in and while being so close to completion? No chance.

I can't believe how quiet is has gotten in here since the give a ways ended! just shows most people are after a quick buck!

Surely that was part of it but the altcoin market as a whole is deflating. Too many coins coming out and far too many scams which is scaring people off. Unfortunately I don't see things turning around anytime soon. In fact, I can totally see the scams ratcheting up a notch or two.
205  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Crypti | XCR | Launch August | 100% POS | New Source | Trading has begun! on: August 20, 2014, 02:09:44 PM
I only see 350.1BTC transferred to the Xapo vault address:  https://blockchain.info/address/1KwpHHKKx1278LYDeqannK8mpngvSok59x

Pre-sale funds should be 750BTC.

This was intentional. In light of recent events, we decided it would be safest to split the funds between 2 different wallets. We were going to use Circle as they have insurance but unfortunately they couldn't accommodate our request in a timely manner so we are deciding on a second solution. We will keep you updated.

you have already getting your 750 btc huh?? huu?? u havent deliver product yet even............. wtffffffffffffffffffffffffffff  Angry Angry Angry

For starters, please control yourself in this thread. I understand the emotions but this kind of comment will not be tolerated. Everyone is frustrated, including us, but these outbursts (this includes your post prior to the one quoted) will not be allowed and you are ruining any positive reputation you might gain in this community.

Second, please read the updates prior to posting. The funds are all co-signed with SyRenity and BTER holding authority. The funds will require both parties to approve any withdrawal. This was done so that we could see our money was still taken care of so that we all had the piece of mind knowing that BTER still had out funds (in light of recent events).

As far as the launch date, we have posted numerous updates stating exactly what is happening with the pushback. We cannot give a date as it is reliant on BTER and they cannot give us an exact date. The wallet, nodes, and tech have been ready to go since last week. As soon as we have something official from BTER stating that the implementation is complete and everything looks good, we will give a 6 hour notice prior to officially initiating withdraw capability and launching the nodes.

lin enabled nxt 2day.
SO he been back and not jetlag anymore.
whats excuse now, hu.....?
need another 48 hour? 3 days? 7 days? 10 days? 20? 30? 40? 50? ethereum datE? next year? Give time so unprofessional

NO FUD NO FUD AM HOLDER OF XCR. BUT PLZ, can u assure ur investors !!! each time i open thread i see postpone i just want HONEST answer when and not "ok in 48 hrs, ok, next 48, ok in 3 days, next week" just HONEST

Do you even read everything that is posted here?

Please do yourself and us a favor and read so you knew they do not have an exact ETR yet and awaiting from BTER.

Sadly it doesn't matter. The BTER dev himself could come on here and post the exact time that Crypti will be available to withdrawal and by the next page there will be at least five "y u no release?" posts.
206  Economy / Gambling / Re: WIN88.ME - 0.8% EDGE - SIGNATURE BONUS + NEW INVEST OPTION on: August 20, 2014, 12:46:31 PM
The web site looks fantastic, they are paying for your signature and you can even invest rather than gamble so you earn with the house. What's not to love? Win88 is the best Bitcoin gambling site to open up in ages!

And of course the Big Bang Theory reference is just icing on the cake  Grin

There is still time as it doesn't look like we will hit 1000 signups so registration will run until Aug 25th then.

Great info Peeps, I now know to avoid Asianconnect like the plague.

The AML/KYC argument is just laughable. Funny how they are very quick to take  your money, but when it comes time to make a withdrawal, oh then it's all about proving your identity and following AML/KYC regulations.

Obviously they have no intention of paying that person who won all that money. He could show up in person with passport and utility bills in hand and they would just find some other excuse.

Most of these BTC sportsbooks are really no different than HYIPs. If anyone thinks they will keep winning with them and withdrawing money on a constant basis they are delusional.

I used to think Nitrogen was the best of the bunch but then I read the story on here how they waited for someone to redeposit and then they reversed an old payout.

Anyway, it's a moot point. 5 Dimes has started taking Bitcoin and I'm sure the other major books will soon follow and then these joke BTC books run out of someone's basement will just die off.

After the BTER hack, there is no doubt in my mind that when NODE integrates the built in BTC/NODE exchange and a way to get EUR and USD in or out easily it will be in the top 10 on coinmarketcap guaranteed!

Peeps, try to get in touch with cointeller.eu. They are an agent like Asiaconnect but I heard they don't require any ID. I'd love to know what books they have access to.
213  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [AИN] NODE - Official Discussion Thread! Distributing the coins! on: August 11, 2014, 02:27:30 PM

@devs

I am afraid the people that were reporting getting a different account were right...   Sad

I had only checked my balance through the block explorer because there was no SSL...  waited patiently for the client...  plugged in my passphrase...  different account...   Cry

NO copy paste from a text file either...  I have the passphrase hand-written on a piece of paper...   Undecided

Edit:  Can you please upload the Account Generator somewhere?

I am referring to the one we used when you asked us to change accounts...  I want to see if I am getting the same account number.

smaragda, from what I remember from people who reported the same issue, it turned out to be caused by one of two reasons:

1) the person was using an account number from the first server and never made an account on the new server when the devs requested it (when they did the sock puppet IP check)

2) I remember someone else who had their passphrase written down, and after trying several variations they were able to get in.

Don't know what else it could be as the devs has assured everyone that nothing has been touched in the algorithm since the second server went live. So if you logged in and verified the account then, it should be the same today.

215  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] ORA::100% POS|Qora Clone|Free & Fair distribution|issued NXT AE ASAP on: August 06, 2014, 10:47:04 AM

Welcome to my ORA 'Tip' List!   Grin
150,000 ORA to Tompa for:
- quickly buying up the 1.5 M ORA from the 'mystery' dumper
- showing support for ORA by keeping the 1.5M ORA

Tompa has decided to keep the 1.5 M ORA, but as they were bought @ ~0.008 NXT each, and the current price is ~0.006 NXT, I'm going to give Tompa another 500K ORA to make up the difference, so I'm sending Tompa 650K ORA today.

As Tompa took a 'bullet' on the market with an inflated ORA price, the least I can do is cover the shortfall!

@Darkhorse & fragORA, can you guys arrange for an ORA faucet fund account? I'll start that off with the 'cleansed' 1.5M ORA from the mystery dumper.

Hi Kora, I actually bought a little over 1m ORA myself back on Sunday at 0.008 - 0.0081 in an attempt to keep the floor at 0.008. Here is a screenshot of my account (I don't see a way to list my transaction history but you can see the account balance):

EDIT: I was able to find the exact transactions using NXT Block Explorer, looks like I bought a small amount at 0.0071, the majority at 0.008 and some at 0.0081:

Putting EXO on NFD is a bad idea. There will be next to no liquidity which will distort the price prior to EXO being available on an exchange that actually has volume like Bittrex.

Great job Peeps! Now we can all get back to reading about experiences with the different books, not pages and pages of crap from Directbet!
218  Economy / Gambling / Re: #1 RATINGS and REVIEWS of SPORTS BOOKS thread. Poster input appreciated. on: July 30, 2014, 08:57:34 PM
Is there a way to lock this thread or make it self moderated. I want to start a self moderated thread in which only books would be moderated.

Yes! I really think you should restart it as a moderated thread so visitors don't need to wade through literally tens of pages of posts from Directbet.

220  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: NODE Puppet Removal Temporary Complain Page! on: July 30, 2014, 04:56:23 PM
I don't have a clue why did you washed me away from the investors but the fact that you removed me without any notice is just pissing me off. When you needed money you were very welcoming but now you've got enough and you're removing people one by one and don't even feel obligated to tell something in advance. If someone used the same IP as I did, then check it twice, geniuses, because I always use Tor.

Hmm, let's see....

You created your account on Apr 14 and immediately posted your payment in the NXTL thread.

You then posted again in the NXTL thread on Apr 21 stating that you were not added to the investor's list.

You did not post again until today, or more than 3 months later, to state that you are not a sock puppet.

I think you can tell which way my vote will go.

I thought we're voting based on real person/puppet status, but it turns out 4 of 5 committee members decided to vote high activity/low activity on this particuar case.

I voted against him because he is an obvious sock puppet, not just due to the low activity but also the IP association.

This guy literally logged into Bitcointalk 3 times over a period of 3 months. First time to indicate his payment, second time to complain he wasn't on the stakeholder's list, third time to complain that he isn't a sock puppet. It doesn't get anymore obvious than that.
