Remember indeed Arsenal found Porto very hard, and this shows exactly what experience does.

It's true that experience does matter at this stage of the tournament, but I really don't see Bayern Munich squad any better than Arsenal's squad if we're to go down that experience path, there are just a very few players from the Bayern's squad that could be considered to be highly experienced for situation like this, and most of them cannot even secure their position/spot in the first team. So, their experience as far as this year's champions league is concerned is barely greater than zero, it's simply going to be a battle of will and who wants it more, not a battle of who is more experienced or have previously won it the most, it takes just one generation of a strong will individuals to break any life long record regardless of how high the bar has been raised or the standard that has been set prior.

@Harkorede Never played football he had no business in this discussion.  Cheesy

You have no idea mate, I don't play football very often and the last time I did would have been some 3-4 years ago, but trust mate I'm the last person you want to take on when it comes to 1 v 1 scoring from a long range or having a car tyre tied to a goal post and hitting the target, I can vividly the last time that happened with a couple of friends, I wasn't allowed to participate again  Cheesy

Im not gonna defend Nuñez because i dont like him so much but, in that play everyone who plays football knows is imposible to see Dominik coming from the center and that was a super pic stoped in the right moment, the super FAIL of nuñez was his shot, you CANT miss that shot being in TOP football.
Plus he is right footed so is imposible to took down a pass with the exterior or the feet, and with the left one..... is not his strength.

Let put it this way Darwin Nunez is an absolute shit, just a shit with huge potential, but how long will "just potentials" keep saving his ass ? Roberto Firminho before he left was still a better player than what Darwin is right (my personal opinion), so Nunez is duly deserving of any scape goat antics that comes his way, while speaking of the game against Man United, Mo Salah was an utter nuisance himself too, unnecessarily selfish when doesn't need to be, and was just as equally wasteful as Darwin, if not more.

Damn! You are very lucky that you hit that player props parlay because Anthony Davis was hurt during the 1st quarter and he never went back afterward. I can say this because I was watching the game and I also have props for Davis at 40 points + rebounds. Sadly, mine didn't hit because of that. It was unexpected but it's also part of the game and part of our betting risks. I think I had that kind of thing happen to me a lot of times now where a player is injured mid-game. It's better if they don't play at all because the bet will be voided.

Luck was indeed on my side for Anthony Davis to have completed those assists in quick succession before getting injured and nothing returning to the game.

I also had a bet on Purdue vs UConn, I had totally forgotten that the national finals was scheduled for today until about 30 minutes before the game when it was mentioned by Malika Andrews and Big Perk on the NBA Today show. I went with Uconn -4.5 handicap @ 2.0+ Odds and I was glad I did because they were indeed the better side, although Purdue indeed tried to keep up the pace and match UConn's offense, but they just couldn't.

20 submissions so far, which is actually quite a feat, considering. I'll send a reminder tomorrow for stragglers.

Anyone else feel Bayern has a chance at an upset? You know they've been outright favourites for many seasons until City this one.

I have submitted my pick already there is no logical reason not to submit early here imo.

Arsenal on paper are completely better than Bayern Munich right no, but it's football and you just never know, I'm going with a bet on Bayern win or draw @ 2.00 Odds, I think that's some decent value, if you ignore both teams recent performances.

Even though I like the bonus games I'm thinking of using my stakes to make prediction on the Arsenal-Bayern match. I'm happy to be in 5th position in Pot B right now. Because I'm quite bad on Superbru. I hope that I can manage to win a prize by finishing Pot B in top 10.

That makes two of us, I really need points from now until the end of the pool to stand any chance to secure a paid position, but the odds aren't much and would be a slow ride up the ladder.

Superbru is already lost cause as well, I'm just playing for the yellow on there for now, that's something still worth playing for.

In other news[1] Everton have been docked an additional two points, taking the total tally to 8 for the season. They are set to appeal the latest reduction

This is some kind of clownery, and the timing is such that it might be better if the initial decision on the 10-point penalty remained unchanged. In conditions where your position in the standings is constantly changing (regardless of you), it is probably difficult to maintain psychological stability.
But the main point of the clownery is that, as I understand it, those facts of violations by the City and Chelsea will never be considered.

Man City have 115 violations, yes ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN. There is a court date set for their trial next year but it’s not public yet. I think the reason it is taking so long with them is because how extensive their trial is. It is obviously a lot of hard work for the PL to gather all evidence and make it bulletproof.

Also Everton cooperated wth the investigation and their breaches. Man City have been delaying and not cooperating. I assume their penalties are going to be a lot more severe.

If they are found guilty it sure as hell will put a lot of jeopardy on their previously won titles, could there be a possibility of not just points deduction but also striping them of one or two titles if they had won multiple title during the years of these violation ?

That'd be some significant dent on Guardiola's Résumé with City.

With the Denver Nuggets beating the Atlanta Hawks yesterday, Nikola Jokic landed his 25th triple double of the season to join Westbrook and Sabonis with that many in a single season.
They look pretty strong and the bench seems to have been performing well in these past few games. Maybe they realize that they have to step up their games especially now that the playoffs are near. Crossing my fingers that no injuries will happen.

Here are my results for today game and some bonuses form player props same game multi.

Bonus!
No games later! Enjoy the rest day!

A day break is a much needed one for me this week for by the way, I still got a couple of things to handle and thankfully NBA will not be distraction for me tonight  Wink

With the looks of it, I believe everyone got some mini-break winnings and I felt the need to share my small winnings as well with our little NBA community.

It's actually been a long while I hit those 100-200+ Odds, and I hope to get another 1000x Odds like I did some time last season before the regular season ends.

There are only a few rounds left, and I can't find any information about whether there will be a prize for the top 10 or 20? 😁 It's nice to know when I'm in 11th place haha😁
So I decided for simplicity to just go with the same top ten payouts as we did last year:

0.1
0.05
0.04
0.03
0.02
0.015
0.014
0.013
0.012
0.011

= 0.305

What's left after fees will go to the highest overall weekly round (ten match rounds or less are only counted). First place is currently Colorpoll54 who got 23 points all the way back from the first round, so that's who you need to beat. There are 8 rounds left to play.

Not so bad for me then, I suppose because I've managed to work myself back into the top 10, I'm currently ranked in the 8th position, I just have to keep moving now with the remaining 8 weeks or no matter what secure my place in the top. However, the gaps between this positions are very marginal ones, one really can have a bad week now, 'cos everything could just go south.

I have taken a good glance at the question and they look really good for me, they usually do, at least until the results are out  Huh

I'm just going to take a while to really bounce back no and this the week it's got to begin for hence, I might be in really really deep trouble.

Btw @cryptofrka, any updates on when the BSFL cup will commence ?

Damn that's some defamation and undermining of abilities, Maybe the appropriate name should no longer Sherrif, instead Sheffield should stick more  Grin Grin

Nah, Sheriff sounds about right.
It's some kind of irrelevant club from Moldova that wins the national league and then gets their butt kicked in early rounds of European qualifiers.

It's simply perfect for him..

That's Sheriff Tiraspol if I'm not mistaken, because the name does indeed rings a bell, they were a local champion for me back when I used to place a lot of bets on teams from lower European leagues, just like the The New Saints from Wales.

Wow, I guess his words and mind games have indeed earned him a Mourinho-esque status amongst all managers here  Grin

For me this round was boring as f*ck. Thank God that it's over and I won't have to play against an imaginery opponent in this season.

Wouldn't you agree that it's better to play against an imaginary opponent, and get 3 points (although everyone got it too) than play a round where you lost the round already from the first very day ? Because that's me for this week, so I'd rather have that imaginary opponent in one of my shitty weeks where I could have lost against an opponent that on one of my best week that I'd sure as hell win against whoever comes my way.

I'm up against chi20, an opponent I know literally nothing about except from their good run in the cup last season creating a great buzz across the entire BSFL.

Out of 52 people that submitted their answers in this round, only four of them didn't believe that Liverpool can win the game and they were right. I have no idea what is going on with Man United, but they are on a good way not to qualify for any European competition in the next season. If I'm not mistaken, they can qualify for the UEFA Conference League but only if they keep sixth place.

Failed to win against Brentford and then lost to Chelsea, I would say those four people who expected Liverpool to win were high on some opium shii, because what the hell ? but then they were right after all it doesn't matter what the reason for their decision was, it ended as the right correction which is all that matters here.

I'm just waiting waiting for the next round of question, this week is one that I don't want to talk about all. Such an awful performance from me, literally.

Edit: LOL, the ticker updated: United - Liverpool 1-1 ... Can't believe it...

Mo Salah have just brought Liverpool back on level terms just after Mainoo magnificent goal had already given them the lead, I thought that might be the of Liverpool for the game, but turns out we still have a huge game on our hands, and by the looks of it there could still a twist or turn here in the finals minutes, just like it did in the last cup tie between these teams.

This is not any form gaslighting whatsoever, but whatever you say to help you ignore obvious fact is cool Grin
<snip>
The Italian league being better defensively than the Premier League is not news; it is fact. That league produced some of history's greatest defenders.

I'm glad you use the word "Produced", It means we're not both on the same page, you're speaking of the past, I'm speaking of the present, and the fact is out there for any that sought it, the bone of contention wasn't about Serie A being a defensive oriented league, but it is that "Portuguese league isn't what should be considered a farmers league by any means" and why do you think it is almost twice as easier to go for BTTS in Serie A or Premier League than you'll ever consider to in the Portuguese league ?

And speaking of individual defenders or single team defense doesn't speak for the entire league's style of play, facts or statistics.. Only 3 teams have surpassed an average of 2+ goals per game in Portugal Liga, while there are twice as much of those numbers in premier league. You can check "FotMob" for better analytical stats.

I bet the Portugese League does prioritize defense over attack than the EPL does, so I really don't English team's defense are any much better than what we've got in the Portugal, so the defense in Portugal being deemed as farmers league is completely wrong, take a look at the leagues goals conceded average to goals score, and compare into to what we've got in the EPL, you'll see the difference, and it doesn't even look close.

32 yrs old Van Djke and 39 yrs old Silva being the best defenders in the league is still something to think about but not on this topic.

When they have young strikers with Darwin abilities firing blanks in the (Portuguese) league, the average number of goals conceded will be low ofcos.

No amount of gaslighting will convince me that the Portuguese league is better defensively than the Premier League; look at their lineups and backgrounds; they're all kids with little experience, going to college during the week, playing football on Saturdays, and going to farms on Sundays. If we want to talk about an excellent defensive league, we can bring the Italian league into the discussion.

This is not any form gaslighting whatsoever, but whatever you say to help you ignore obvious fact is cool Grin

In premier league only 3 teams have conceded less than 30 goals this season namely Manchester City, Liverpool and Arsenal. from Aston Villa in 4th position have all conceded no less than 42 goals, please tell me more about defense, while about 11 teams have conceded at least 50 goals. Premier league is an highly competitive league, Of course! But it is completely naive and ignorant to consider PL as the league with the best defense averagely, and that's in no way related to one player missing chances, is it ?

If you've by any means paid attention to these league, you'll get a glimpse of my perspective, why did you consider Serie A a good defensively oriented league, is it also because every striker there are all firing blank or they kids too ? It is an obvious fact and it's being the case for long time, Premier League is not a defensively oriented league and the fact that they have Thiago Silva and Van Dijk doesn't change the average defensive philosophy of the league entirely.
