201  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Ignore the new Apple toys & Invest in Bitcoin, history always repeat itself. on: September 17, 2023, 01:02:50 AM
Owning an iPhone doesn't mean to be an investment accounting to me. This had turned to be status symbol, even the person who doesn't have proper shelter holds an iPhone. This is the reality happening around the world, mainly in the third world countries. The market movement is directly connected with the economy too. An investment should appreciate in value whereas an iPhone keeps depreciating.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If only property I have is bitcoin on: September 16, 2023, 11:05:07 PM
@OP it is a matter of whether you want to give your wealth to your favorite relative or not.  After all when a person is gone, he will never know what happens in the future.  If you plan to give your wealth to your relative but not while you are still alive, you can keep the seed phrase and easy-to-understand guide in banks safe.  Process the legal documents about who will inherit your seed-phrase and I think that will solve the problem.  With this kind of strategy, no one will know your seedphrase while you are still alive.
Better choice is to find a lawyer and inform him about the wish of inheriting the holding. The lawyer could make all the necessary documentation and provide with the legal support. For traditional system it is an easier task, as we need to just provide details about the nominee. With cryptocurrency this is little complicated, as there is not much of such service providers. Apart from this, it is possible through securing seed phrase on private lockers with the nominee added to the locker. This will make the locker settled to the nominee soon after the person's death.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What type of advice is worth giving such people? on: September 15, 2023, 04:13:19 PM
Everyone who hadn't got much technical knowledge about bitcoin could've experienced hack and loss of bitcoin during their early days of bitcoin usage. Personally I've experienced it on a P2P platform while converting bitcoin to cash. This is completely my mistake, because I didn't kept all the security features enabled. A scammer somehow took control of my account and transferred all my funds to another wallet. Though it was a centralised platform they weren't able to recover the funds. This happens, and further I was aware of all the security features and never stay careless while making transactions and selling. The best advice is to use all the security features and keep your bitcoin in non custodial wallet and transfer to exchange and other platforms only when there is need.
204  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: T20 and T20I cricket prediction and discussion on: September 15, 2023, 09:43:39 AM
India is obviously a superpower right now in cricket. And it will be dumb to lose that power, just because some cricketers want to play their own players. I am definitely not going to say that a bad job was done by Dravid. India has a lot of players who can replace anyone at any given moment. So India should not fall into the trap of nepotism and favoritism. And it is never a good decision to play your own player, even when they are performing poorly and you have other players waiting for a chance. So not giving the Players total control over the selection is definitely a good decision.

It is easier to be said than done. Indian players hold a lot of influence. They had a rabid fan following, and therefore going against them is a very risky move. A few days back, a well decorated Indian army officer (Major Pawan Kumar) criticized Kohli for meeting with Pakistani players at a time when 3 of the soldiers got martyred during an incident in Kashmir. Fans of Kohli descended on his social media handles soon after, flooding them with hate messages. When this can happen to an army officer, you can imagine what will happen to someone like Dravid if he goes against Kohli.

The problem with India/Indian people, right now is that anyone who can give them really good entertainment, they think that person to be something like God. Entertainment is good for the Indian people right now. And that’s why they start worshipping any player who breaks any kind of record. They just do not understand that there can be better options waiting for them. They just are too much in their feelings. And let’s be honest, these keyboard warriors have probably never achieved anything in their own life. But they are worried about others.
Agreed, and this won't be the same all the time. We should also think that for what reason these keyboard warriors spread hate messages. Being a player he had the sportsmanship, and when playing against Pakistan he had the spirit. I'm not supporting the keyboard warriors, but they at times make people realise what is happening around. In western countries they give importance to players, but they won't fall for them. This will change over time, when powerful countries be part of the cricket.
205  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: September 15, 2023, 08:45:59 AM
Bangladesh is already out of the Asia Cup, and this is their last match. According to Cricbuzz, Bumrah, Siraj, and Pandya are likely to be rested, while Bangladesh would try to win the last match as they did not win any match in the super four. The Bangladeshi batting line was very poor in the last couple of matches, and the opener, Naim Sheikh, was given all the chances.

Wicket-keeper batter Anamul Haque Bijoy is still out of the probable XI, while Mushfiqur Rahim will not play the last match. This clearly shows how politics works in Bangladesh cricket team. Bad luck for Bijoy!

There won't be much interest in this match, as the outcome is not of any significance. It is a good opportunity for India to rest some of their main players, and give opportunities to those who are warming the bench. For Bangladesh, it is a good chance to get a consolation win, which would help them immensely with the ODI rankings ahead of the world cup. The good news from Colombo is that no rains are predicted today. Tomorrow is also likely to remain rain-free, while thunderstorms are predicted from Sunday onwards.
During the last match there were more discussion on Shreyas Iyer out of the playing XI against Sri Lanka. Some memes went viral that Dr.Rohit Sharma and Dr.Dravid found Shreyas Iyer was have got back spasm. This time he might get chance to play against Bangladesh. Apart from him Suryakumar Yadav and Mohammad Shami can be expected to be included. Bad weather was a big issue throughout the tournament and watching a complete match is a big thing.
206  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 15, 2023, 06:51:12 AM
When Asia Cup started, I was thinking that Pakistan is the most favored team to win the trophy. But they are now out of the tournament, and they can only blame themselves. Even during the match yesterday, I thought that Pakistan was a better team compared to Sri Lanka. But in the end, poor captaincy tactics, misfielding and lack of ability to perform under pressure situation cost them the match. But they should take this as an opportunity to prepare themselves in a better way ahead of the ODI World Cup, rather than losing sleep over it.
Majority had the same thought. With the group stage match between India and Pakistan it once again got confirmed, because in that match Pakistan was in better position compared to India. Somehow India got lucky and the match got cancelled. The next match was well planned and a reserve day added to it as everything is business. In this match Pakistan tried its best, but things didn't go in favour of them. Soon after that Pakistan coach mentioned it as a waking up, and they'll come strong.
207  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in your country. on: September 15, 2023, 06:40:37 AM
there is no concrete law or stand in My country , either this is adopted or not but we have no restriction and no tax applied in crypto earning.
though the government keeps giving warning to the people about the risk and the potential scam that may come across .
and also seemingly that our president now has a good look for crypto and wishing adoption will come before His terms ended.
In my country there is continuous conversation and no proper solution have been achieved. The government had on the revenue from cryptocurrency investment. However it hadn't made any statement on the legality of bitcoin. As the cryptocurrency is taxed people consider it to be legal and using it. Even in a meet organised this month have made discussion with different countries. Following the same there is possible chances of regulation coming into effect at the earliest.

209  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are created for unemployment purpose on: September 14, 2023, 11:26:08 PM
From a process perspective, this isn't a short-term endeavor spanning just one or two years; rather, CBDC also needs to undergo testing for countries with diverse characteristics. It's true that banks can introduce CBDC to the masses, but not everyone will be able to embrace it for various reasons. I believe that, up to this point, there are still many people intrigued by the traditional banking system, as evidenced by the remarkably high percentage of bank customers.

CBDC isn't a gateway to mass unemployment; banks will continue to require human resources to serve their extensive customer base.

In my opinion, banks may need individuals with different competencies than those of the traditional banking model. Long-time employees may need to undergo training to grasp technology and blockchain, aligning themselves with the specifications of this new business model. For those who can't adapt, they might find themselves left behind.
If CBDC is going to be used forever, then why are banks needed?
Russian CBDCs are prohibited for lending and for any interest-bearing deposits. You will not receive anything for storing CBDC. If CBDCs are used in banking in your countries, then you will do worse.
Agreed, CBDC were just the digitization of the fiat and their is no backing which makes it not able to be lended for bank interest and other purposes. When we talk of traditional fiat we've got gold as the backing for the fiat. Here nothing backs and for the better managing and administrative need countries try to use CBDC.
210  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 14, 2023, 11:22:57 PM
Ittihad is in first place for now, with one more victory and a match advantage. Although the opponent Akhdoud was not a challenging opponent, he showed good resistance, especially they used the left wing well, and Godwin tried to create positions from that wing. He was able to go to the goal, but actually Al Akhdoud could not score the goal he wanted. Experienced striker Benzama scored the goal with a nice ball follow-up and a touch with his knee, giving his team an important victory. The Saudi league did not attract attention when there was only Ronaldo, but now that there are other quality players, good matches attract my attention this season.

Yeah, we predicted previously that Al-Ittihad will definitely be aiming for 3 points to take over the standings, Al-Ittihad managed to secure this match but overall their game was not impressive even though we expected there would be more goals unfortunately only one goal. Surprisingly Al-Akhdoud was able to put pressure on Al-Ittihad defense with 8 shots and 4 on target almost the same statistics as Al-Ittihad 10 shots 5 on target.
The prediction came true, but the expectation was high over Al-Ittihad. The team struggled much for goal. The only goal of the match came at the 72nd minute from Benzema. Somehow they were able to win the match, which is the only thing good for the team. Apart, the performance isn't enough to be the top contender of the league. In the other match Al-Wehda have made 4 goals which is really good against Damac able to take 2 goals.
211  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Typical scenario when you are losing on: September 14, 2023, 11:17:20 PM
When we're on the losing streak we don't know what to do. Most of the time we continue to wager and end up losing everything. Beyond certain stage we'll get to know better about the reality of gambling and we try to limit ourselves as we know that the end result is going to be loss. At the beginning days we won't be having much understanding and we'll be with lots of dreams, achieving big through gambling. The reality will be understood in the later days.

I personally loss control when I keep on losing. Most of the time I try to have small amount in the main wallet and secure the rest on vault. This will help me avoid unwanted losses. If not, I'll just keep on wagering to recover what I've lost. Here most of the time losing will be the end and in very few attempts used to be lucky to recover the lost funds.
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 14, 2023, 11:10:28 PM
~
The winner of this match will be directly qualify for final regardless of any margin. currently Srilanka is at very good position. required run rate is under controlled and pitch is so good for batting. Pakistan got two wickets but runs are not stopping, boundaries are coming in almost every overs and this is the quality batting Pakistan should also need.
Yes the winner of this match will be facing India in the final. I believe that the history suggest that Sri Lanka has been to the Asia cup finals than any other team and with the way today's match is progressing, Sri Lanka has the chance to beat Pakistan and book a berth in the finals. Pakistan needs to pick wickets now to put pressure on them, if not they will chase the target without much issues.
Everyone predicted the match to be a win for Sri Lanka, but none expected this to be this unlucky match for Pakistan. Based on the DLS method Sri Lanka have to reach the score 252 and they made it without a ball left. In terms of score both the teams were equal, but it was win for Sri Lanka based on the DLS method. In some form it looks not the right choice, but in bad weather forecast the authorities also doesn't have any other choice than sticking to these kind of rules.
213  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How valuable BTC has become overtime on: September 14, 2023, 04:30:23 AM
The image shows how bitcoin have turned valueable over time. The highest price of bitcoin during the year 2011 was around $4 and considering $2.5 as average the iPhone 4S could've costed something around $400. The present value of those 162BTC similar to $400 of 2011 is around $4.25 million in today's price of bitcoin. This could be very high when calculated against the ath price of bitcoin. Same time the amount $400 of 2011 have got the purchasing power worth of about $545. Thats really great with bitcoin compared to USD.

Everyone were watching the performance of Ben Stokes. Nowhere there is some lagging, h continued to do what he had in his mind. The series have turned even more interesting as the next match will be the last one to decide the winner. As of now England have won two matches and leads the series. Now the only choice available for New Zealand is to draw the series winning the last ODI.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Rant: Casinos should hire people who knows about what they do on: September 11, 2023, 05:59:33 PM
We've got good number of trusted gambling platforms. I don't know how far it is true that customer support personnels were not aware of what they're doing. Whenever a person is assigned for a work, the person should have the best knowledge. Only then it is possible to give the best support to the customers.

Nowadays it is very rare we get connected with the support team. Most of the problems were solved by the AI support platform which request us to select the complaint from the list and provide us with the apt solution. If that weren't solved, further gets connected to the support team.
216  Economy / Speculation / Re: Take your eyes off from the fall in price on: September 11, 2023, 05:58:23 PM
Whenever there is decline in price, it serves to be a panic factor. To avoid such situation it is always good to stay away from watching the market. When we get into something new, we should have the eagerness to keep ourselves in a better position knowing everything associated with it. Through this it is possible to understand the real market and prepare ourselves than just losing due to panic waves.
217  Economy / Economics / Re: Which problem will you choose to solve? on: September 11, 2023, 04:40:00 PM
Majority state that they'll try to solve the problem of the poor. The reality, we need to make the rich understand the difficulties faced by the poor. Most of the billionaires have emerged from poor background. They know well about the poor peoples life. The rich gets richer through their hardwork, we can't deny it. Same time there needs to certain restrictions with the limits, beyond the limit should be shared to the people in need. Such scenario could be the only way to solve the problem of the poor.
218  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bank vs Crypto: Are they opposites? on: September 11, 2023, 04:30:05 PM
For sure there are a lot of differences between banks and cryptocurrency, we can already see crypto as decentralized and banks are centralized platforms, the technology is different since cryptocurrency operates on the blockchain and they do transactions differently with the banks, where everything is just centralized which is actually not something that I would definitely recommend. I mean for sure back in the day these two were just completely different and there are some saying that cryptocurrency is going to kill banks in the future because there is just no one that would actually want a centralized platform or just put your money in savings where you dont really have complete control about it right.

But right now I can already see how the cryptocurrency adapt to a lot of countries even here in my countries cryptocurrency already adapted to the point where it is already available to a lot of platforms or banks, some of the banks here in my country already allowed users to buy cryptocurrency using there platform, I mean for sure this banks or companies already realize that they cant really stop Bitcoin so they probably just need to adapt on it because its probably one of there competitors if they didn't do something a lot of money is going to be put on cryptocurrency,
Banks joining crypto doesnt mean they're abandoning their controlled systems. Its more like they're covering all bases. You're right that banks are dipping their toes in the cryptocurrency pool Both centralized and decentralized approaches have pros and cons. Avoid black-and-white stories. Centralized systems monitor behavior, protect customers, and simplify policy changes. However, cryptocurrency decentralization appeals to financial authority and privacy advocates, but it also fosters fraud. Change or die is the game. As bitcoin gains popularity, banks want a piece of the digital pie. However, they're adding it as a service, not to replace their prior methods. Its unclear if crypto will kill banks.

Banks joining cryptocurrency have been increasing with time. Centralized exchanges nowadays does the banking functionality in the cryptomarket. Even the financial authorities have begun to be positive, which were earlier against the cryptocurrency usage. Banks feared of cryptocurrency and quite often statements say that bitcoin usage have eaten the revenue of banks. Beyond some point the banks understood the need of technology. One country have adopted bitcoin as legal tender amidst hard opposition. More countries watching the move of the country so that they can further use bitcoin legally.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket Asia Cup 2023! Which team will WIN? on: September 11, 2023, 03:52:45 PM
I don't know whether enough overs have been bowled to decide this match on D/L method? Pakistan really are down and out at this moment and there is not much chance of there winning right now. Pakistan will be happy with rain to continue pouring down. Pakistani bowling lineup brutally punished today by Indian batting.
There is no chance for Pakistan to win today's match as the game is currently off due to rain. If the match is not played later due to rain then there is no chance for Pakistan to win even in DLS system. According to the DLS system, Pakistan is far behind in the statistics that are counted before the innings count, due to which Pakistan will lose today's match for the time being. It is a pity that the favorite Pakistani bowlers could not defeat the Indian batting line-up today. KL Rahul and Virat Kohli could be dismissed by Pakistan's favorite bowlers when the second day's shutout starts, but both of them have scored centuries.
The first wicket fall happened in 17 runs and the second wicket fell at 43 runs. Pakistan winning the match is near impossible based on the calculation to score 200 runs in 20 overs. Already 11 overs bowled and Pakistan have scored just 44 runs losing 2 wickets. The cut off time for the match is already informed. We don't know how good will be the match, as the complete match have once again resumed.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Saudi Professional League 2023/2024 on: September 11, 2023, 02:30:45 PM
Saudi have so far this season added 94 foreign players to their squads, of which 37 have come from various European clubs. If the league club Al Ittihad could have added Mohamed Salah to the squad it would have been a great achievement for them but they have failed.

I heard that European clubs are now calmer because since the transfer window closed they are no longer worried about losing their mainstay players, as we know the players continue to be tempted with tempting offers Liverpool and Manchester City are clubs that are always wary of these offers. In the next transfer window Mohamed Salah is Al-Ittihad main target they know that Salah wants to find new experiences, especially since Salah is also used to the culture of the Saudi league I mean the country is no different from Saudi Arabia, there are many similarities.
Saudi Arabia Pro League is trying to make big change in the football history with its teams signing deal with leading football stars from different European clubs. It all started with Ronaldo and a big list of players have come into the Saudi Arabia Pro League. With the summer window closing Saudi Arabia Pro League clubs have spent £784 million on players. Among that 87% was spend by the four clubs Al Hilal, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr, Al-Ittihad.
