741  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: May 03, 2023, 11:58:39 PM
Bitcoin is just on its own and is the overall driver of this crypto market and its technology cannot be competed with any altcoins out there, Bitcoin is the only true decentralized crypto that we have there. The crypto industry is just like a race that involves survival of the fittest, regardless of the increasing number of altcoins, only few with use cases will really stand the test of time, because the next bull is gonna be base on the utility run , if Bitcoin moves potentially almost every other coins follow suit. So I see no negative impact that the altcoins have on BTC.
Agreed, it is an independent market. For that reason bitcoin continue to stay on its growth path unlike the existence of large number of altcoins. The altcoins serve as a competing factor as well gives the users the choice on investment. It is evident that there are good altcoins that can be trusted, however the risk used to be higher than investing in bitcoin. Because the bitcoin market is already proven whereas the altcoin market isn't. Some altcoins used to give high ROI, but we need to be lucky to invest in it. Altcoins doesn't have any negative impact over the price of bitcoin.
742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can i make 100 $ daily from online casinos on: May 03, 2023, 11:57:16 PM
There's no amount that guarantees a win in gambling... It only tends to broaden your potential winnings, nothing more.
Staking big is even riskier as you'll be made to lose everything just the way you wagered; that infact, doesn't prove that you've got the least, merest self control... You'll actually see your winnings on the software or on a printed script - does that guarantee your claims just yet? NO!
Every gambler is usually driven with the same target (which is to win at the end of the day), ...what really makes the difference is the pessimism.

Sandra 🧑‍🦰
Gambling should never be target oriented. When one gets into gambling with target automatically the focus will be upon win and the same lets you go for high rollers if you're unlucky. When it comes to gambling the mind needs to be prepared to accept the loss and win. Just spend what you can afford to loss and enjoy if it brings winning. When target is fixed, this is going to be disappointed.
743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Indian Premier League #IPL on: May 03, 2023, 11:42:28 PM
In today's 46th Match of the Indian Premier League, Mumbai Indians won the match with an amazing performance. I thought Mumbai Indians might not win this match. But the batsman of Mumbai Indians team Ishan Kishan played very well in this match. He scored 75 runs in 41 balls. But  Rohit Sharma was dismissed for 0 runs off 3 balls. Mumbai Indians team players performed poorly in bowling as well as batting well for which they won the match so easily.
It was an expected match for Punjab Kings after the performance from Livingston, Jitesh and Shikhar Dhawan after the big target. Mumbai Indians chased the target in. Comfortable manner. Punjab Kings needs improvement from the bowling, because this will complete down the performance of batters. Arshdeep Singh is very expensive with an economy of 17.22 and Sam Curran who used to break partnership wasn't able to perform good. He's also expensive with 13.67 economy. Mumbai Indians slowly progressing on the points table.
744  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Big is the online gambling industry today? on: May 03, 2023, 11:28:47 PM
Long back itself gambling industry is very big and people who were part of the business were very successful. This is all because of the specific percentage as edge that the Casinos receive. The lockdown period were well utilised by the gambling platforms understanding that the people's mind. Those period were the transition time and more people came about cryptocurrency accepted gambling platforms. This made more cryptocurrency accepted platforms successful. Now the growth continues amidst the opposition and support for regulated usage and ban on different countries due to addiction and other problems out of gambling.
745  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: May 03, 2023, 02:36:21 AM
Cricket has been included for the 2023 Southeast Asian Game. A total of 7 countries are taking part - Indonesia, Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand (Myanmar is participating only in the women's tournament) out of the total of 11. There are 4 formats that are being played - T10, T20, ODI (50 over) and 6s cricket. Yesterday was the first day and the T20 competition is currently underway. Before this edition, the last time that cricket was included in Southeast Asian Games was way back in 2017, when Malaysia was hosting the games.
Southeast Asian Games authority is interested in adding cricket. When it comes to ICC, they're not interested to apply and get it added to the Olympics. Mostly Asian teams are much into cricket, and all the mentioned teams have complete native players. But traditionally all these teams have got some connectivity with India. So, it is obvious to see names similar to Indian names on the teams of Malaysia, Singapore and Cambodia.

Nice win by Karatsev against Medvedev. 7-6 / 6-4. Despite he was not the favorite of the day he performed really well, he has made a great match today with just few errors.
Medvedev again not in a perfect shape (probably he has some cold?) and not able to perform at highest level as usual.
By the way it seems he will be present in Roma ! https://www.internazionalibnlditalia.com/players/daniil-medvedev/

Medvedev has still a good bit to go to be consistent on clay even though he was seeded
number 2 for this tournament.

Alcaraz v Zverev ended in a massive anti-climax for anyone hoping Zverev was going to
be a worthy challenger - 6-1 & 6-2.

In these rounds of 16 the only top seeds left to play are Tsitsipas2, Fritz8
and Khachanov10, I cant see any of them beating Alcarav and taking the title.
This should be a repeat of the last final with Alcaraz and Tsitsipas getting there. Draw was a bit weak from the start and nobody really with the form and game good enough to seriously threaten them. Maybe Khachanov on his best day but clay isn't really his favorite surface.

I hope you guys made some money on Medvedev, he isn't even top 20 player when clay is the surface and I am taking handicaps against him in every round and then ML as soon as he has proper opponent. I think I just lost one bet ever in this way and that was when he won against Zverev recently.

Yes, Barcelona Alcaraz beat Tsitsipas 6-3 and 6-4, What can Tsitsipas do this time
around to overcome Alcaraz?

Re Medvedev, no I havent been betting either way on him and eventhough I have been
watching bits and bobs of certain matches I actually havent bet that much on the
Madrid tournament. My last bet was Friday on Musetti but he got beaten by Hanfmann
which was disappointing after his decent run at Barcelona to get to the semi final there.
We have the first quarter finals to be played between Khachanov and Alcaraz. Will this going to be hard fighting, because Khachanov played hard against Rublev to secure his position on the quarter finals. Based on the players in the quarter finals I believe Alcaraz, Zhang, Coric and Tsitsipas to reach the semifinals.
747  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The major role of cryptocurrency in promoting financial inclusion. on: May 03, 2023, 12:00:00 AM
Cryptocurrency came into existence as a reason to fill the void that wasn't able by the fiat currency. The technology advancement is simply good, and if the inclusion is allowed all around surely the contribution to the upliftment of the economy can be experienced. As of now even the country's that supports bitcoin doesn't have much of users who does it connected with business or for some improvement. The majority prefer it for investment than a payment gateway. The core needs to change, but it is simply impossible to happen.
748  Economy / Economics / Re: Try to save money while you still can, will you ? on: May 01, 2023, 11:59:36 PM
Savings is the basic for investing. Most of the time people find investing to be risky and stay away from it and never look at the profit it provides. There is a saying which could help you turn rich someday.

  • Have an insurance, because it'll help you avoid miscellaneous and emergency needs
  • Save and invest, when you feel you don't have good capital
  • Learn during the process and with the profit out of investment try to have income coming from different streams

What a thrilling end to the match between CSK and PBKS. I was literally glued to the screen in the last over and frankly, I never expected PBKS to win the match. The best part of this match was seeing two unbelievable sixes by MSD again, that made my day. Devon Conway's unbeaten 92 for just 52 balls was another point of me getting engaged till the end of CSK's batting.

Yashasvi Jaiswal a 21-year-old young boy who started his career as a pani puri seller has come a long way. These young cricketers of India are the role model for the upcoming cricket loving generation. Every ball that he played, he was timing it perfectly and his placement was simply superb. But Sanju Sampson's unethical way of getting Rohit Sharma out yesterday has destroyed any hopes for him making it into the Indian team in any format. Good to see SKY getting back his form.
The controversy on the wicket of Rohit Sharma continues. The video clearly shows the bowled out happened as Sanju Samson's glove hit the bail. Somehow Mumbai Indians won the match, if not this could've turned to be completely controversial and big disappointment. On his birthday this has happened. Jaiswal have achieved big things and to reach from the down level is really tough in a country like India. Mistakes from the bowlers at the death overs shouldn't happen, because all the efforts during the match goes wasted.

Tens of thousands of Nepal cricket fans at the Tribhuvan University International Cricket Ground, Kirtipur staying on behind heavy rain. The final match of the ACC Men's Premier Cup is currently ongoing between Nepal and the United Arab Emirates. You will never find any fans for United Arab Emirates, because they don't have any nationals in their team.

It will be a great injustice to the Nepal fans in case this match gets washed out. Because right now, UAE is at 106/9 after 27.3 overs. Without the rains, Nepal would have won already.

Video: https://twitter.com/Xhiuzan_/status/1652931879736320001
The match is with Nepal team. Nowhere it is possible to see such a level of support from the audience. Even at the heavy rain thousands of audience with umbrella in hands shows how good is their support to the national team. Seeing this scenario surely the Nepal team players will get much more confidence and the spirit to win the finals. I'm sure there won't be injustice sharing the trophy.

Djokovic's attitude is very irresponsible, he must take seriously and respect the laws of other countries and including his country, when countries say that people must be vaccinated then people must be vaccinated, rules are to be followed, laws are to be fulfilled, he is a professional athlete, he knows that it is forbidden to use drugs in order not to get tired easily, so he does not use drugs because he fears being penalized, so what makes him think that with vaccines he should be an exception? Where have you seen a country change the rule because of it and harm many people? that wouldn't be right, what kind of good example would come if they allowed him to play even without having vaccinated? that would be wrong, all people need to respect the rules even when they don't like it

Medvedev will play today and it doesn't look like it will be a difficult match for him yet, looking at the players who are in the same draw as Medvedev it looks like he is in an easier draw than Alcaraz, so the chances of seeing Medvedev in the final will be wide open.
The match between Medvedev and Shevchenko have moved to the third set. Many expected this to be an easy match for Medvedev, but It looks like third set result will be upon the time breaker. Shevchenko won the first set 6-4. Medvedev made a comeback in the second set and won the set 6-1. The match have moved to the deciding set.

First set of Lajovic vs Struff match moved to tie breaker and Lajovic wins 77-62. Possibly the match ends in the 2nd set.

~snip~
Being a host will give them the chance to be in the world cup playing against the teams but in fact when the team is not ready for the world cup and they are not really qualified normally they will just lose all the games and leave the World cup fast, just like what happened to Qatar and it doesn't matter how much money they spend for the world cup.

Absolutely.

That's what you get as a host, you get to start playing in the world cup.

After that, you're treated the same as the rest.

The thing is that historically the world cup has been hosted in countries that are good at the game, Qatar was an exception.
Qatar is an exception, that itself confirms that something have have happened behind the light. If the host is Brazil, Argentina, Italy, Spain or some other country where football is celebrated then it would serve as a disappointment when the host team exits earlier. For a country like Qatar leaving the world cup earlier isn't a big thing. What they looked is grab the attention and improve the economy.
753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ODI cricket and general cricketing discussion [self - mod] on: April 30, 2023, 11:24:48 PM
Pakistan is leading two-zero right now. This is of course a great opportunity for them to actually win a series.
After all, Pakistan is being able to get win in those matches which are actually tough.
At the same time, all of these matches also show that Pakistan is being able to overcome the batting problems that they had.
If Pakistan can maintain their consistency then they will be able to win the series. But it is doubtful whether they will be able to do so in the end. In the upcoming match, New Zealand will try their best to win the match and save the series. But this might be Pakistan's last chance otherwise they might lose again. If the series is drawn or lost after 2 consecutive wins in the 5 match series then it is a big failure for the team which is not expected by the Pakistan team.
We shouldn't downgrade a team. Even before the second ODI match there were more discussion that New Zealand will do its best. Same as that New Zealand did it's best, and Pakistan outperformed with their performance. Both the matches weren't an easy chase. The targets were really good and in the second match once after the innings of New Zealand it is said Pakistan will win the match. What happened at the last, comfortable win. In the upcoming matches too we can expect similar results.
754  Economy / Speculation / Re: $35,000-$37,000 for Bitcoin in 2023 as my peaking barrier, is breakout feasible? on: April 30, 2023, 11:17:49 PM
Based on what we've reached in the first half of the year, there is more chances of price reaching $35k - $37k. It is all about the good and negative things taking place around the market. Just four months of 2023 over, more 8 months left. For the growth to happen, more time is available. Halving is one important event that's been scheduled for the falling year. This too brings good rise in the price of bitcoin and drop close to the halving pump, only then it is possible to reach ath.
755  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Addiction. on: April 30, 2023, 11:08:32 PM
Investing and gambling had some of the unique same features. When you keep do them for the positive, it's will the addition. After that, don't buy crypto when the market is green. Most of the traders do this mistake of gambling addiction and buy coin at the bull market instead of bear market. Because the profit from coin brought in bull gives less profit to the coin which we brought in it in bear market.
Buying when the market is green isn't a bad choice neither, because we aren't sure of the market tomorrow. The profitability varies along with the holding time period. Investing at the highest price lets you to hodl more than investing at the bottom price. The addiction of gambling differs from that of investing addiction. This is very rare, maybe 1 in 1000 will have such mentality. With gambling one in hundred used to have the addiction. To gamble people easily borrow and does it whereas for investing very few borrow money.
756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why does It takes time for market to be bull on: April 30, 2023, 11:01:40 PM
It's just how cycle would move around. Everything needs time to accumulate
The market is subject to the demand to the supply connected with the real time market and various other factors. It need its own time for the movement from bearish to bullish. In between the price movement getting stagnant within specific range is common. People who have already used to the market, this is common. For users who doesn't have the proper learning, but find this to be an easy way to turn rich it is simply hard task. The market is bullish, because there is regular growth going through the ongoing year's chart.
757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How useful is Bitcoin to the youth? on: April 30, 2023, 09:09:13 PM
Young generation is much into bitcoin usage on different needs. In recent years more youths have moved their eyes from stock market towards cryptocurrency. We need to give more awareness, right now it is possible to see technically skilled people not part of the cryptocurrency, but the common man making use of it. I don't understand why is this? Even a friend of mine working for a multinational company isn't able to accept its existence and growth. They all have a mindset of terming it as gamble. Proper awareness is the right thing than can ease out people's involvement and active usage of bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.
758  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investment in bitcoin on: April 29, 2023, 11:59:45 PM
Holding always benefits the bitcoiners. Everyone doesn't have the ability to hold, some used to manage things perfectly and the same lets them hold bitcoin amidst the circumstances. When you've been holding bitcoin it assure with the long term profit. Holding makes the bitcoin to be idle on the wallet, but to the varying market we'll see the difference in the value. It is good when one can learn better about bitcoin and get into the practice of buying low and selling high with what one have invested. It is risky, but it gives us learning as well as helps in increasing the amount of bitcoin in the wallet.
759  Economy / Economics / Re: Saving is Wasting? on: April 29, 2023, 11:53:58 PM
Saving is Wasting?
Nope being able to save is the foundation of many enterprises like i.e MC Donald
In each and every success, savings have got its part. As you've mentioned the foundation will be laid with the savings. Further the investment gives hand. Many people have the wrong perception about savings based on the decline in the money value caused due to inflation. This is true, but the level of risk is low.

Pakistan win by 7 wickets 2nd ODI against New Zealand. what an incredible performance of Fakhar Zaman's brilliant innings of 180 runs was the highlight of the match and he received great support from Babar Azam 65 runs and Rizwan who both scored fifty runs. Chasing down a target of 337 runs is no easy feat but Pakistan showed great determination and skill to secure a comfortable 7 wicket victory and lead the series by 2-0. This win will give them a huge boost of confidence and momentum heading into the rest of the series. Congratulations to Pakistan on a well deserved win

This is second highest run chase ever in ODI by Pakistan and credit for this historic run chase goes to Fakhar Zaman for his outstanding 188 on just 144 balls. Since the pitch is entirely made for Batsmen, bowlers of both sides were expensive today. Pakistan chased 336 runs in 49th over with 10 balls remaining. Next 3 ODIs are in Karachi so we may see some competitive matches there if pitch is for both batsmen and blowers.
Looking upon the target for Pakistan I felt this to be an easy win for New Zealand. Once again Pakistan proved their ability and now the pressure is high upon the New Zealand team. Losing a match will lead to losing the series. After Babar Azam and Rizwan, now Fakhar Zaman have turned more responsible in recent matches and the team can be seen depending on his performance. Anyhow a big win for Pakistan and a big disappointment for New Zealand.
