201  Other / Archival / Re: Should we sell btc? on: March 23, 2016, 01:22:15 PM
I think this is a personal matter whether one decides to sell their coin or not, if one sees opportunity to make some profit then there isn't any reason why one shouldn't sell.
202  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: why most of btc users are russians? on: March 23, 2016, 01:19:17 PM
I think most BTC users currently would be from US but let's not think like that, we don't need to divide bitcoin users in nationalities, Bitcoin is above race or gender, we're all just bitcoiners, where we're from doesn't makes any difference.

I don't know if your statement is backed with real data, but most of the ponzi mine cloud scams are deeply Russian based. Just my 2 cents here.

How do you know that?
203  Economy / Digital goods / Re: Sale chaturbate 900 tokens on: March 22, 2016, 01:30:12 PM
the sale was listed on 4th may i hope the offer is still standing and user is still active. id like to buy it.
I got 2000 tokens for sale on chaturbate.
I will accept escrow deals too.
Can't cash out cos I don't have a payment card.
If interested let me know .
Escrow person .use be one of the admins here or someone
Trusted

The tokens are not transferable, they can only be tipped to models or cashed out. Which means you have to sell the account itself and there is a risk in that if it later turns out to be stolen.

Wondering why you bumped an old thread instead of making a new one, were you the OP?
204  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Who owns Bitcoin? on: March 22, 2016, 01:11:26 PM
Bitcoin is invented by Satoshi Nakamoto but it is common knowledge that his identity is not known. If there arise any dispute related to bitcoin or its ownership, how would it be settled by court of law or in other words who is the legal owner of bitcoin?

The legal owner of any bitcoin is the person holding the private key of the address which contains those bitcoins. That's it.

Don't need court or anyone else to decide that.
205  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: New Bitcoin Related Site. Any Ideas? on: March 21, 2016, 06:34:31 PM
Here's a thing, let's say you have a great idea for a website but ideas can't be copyrighted, you tell someone and they use it on their own, nothing you can do. Ofcourse ultimately all sites may have clones but being the first makes all the difference.

206  Economy / Gambling / Re: Slot machine, simple and amazing Slot machine. on: March 21, 2016, 06:26:53 PM
What is a roulette and slot machine's difference?

Lol. Dude seriously? You don't know the difference between Slots and Roulette? Perhaps its better you stay away from this section. Cheesy

Just google it and you'll find lots of info.

@OP, this is not a provably fair game and therefore not too famous amongst whales, try luring people in with some promos.
207  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best site for Holdem? on: March 21, 2016, 06:24:43 PM
There are many Bitcoin sites offering Texas Hold 'em but I don't think any of them can be considered best, Bitcoin poker isn't too famous, maybe because its a pvp and there are lack of players.

I have been playing at pokerstars from couple of weeks and its fab but sadly they don't accept BTC yet.
208  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would local bitcoin advertising help to make bitcoin more popular? on: March 21, 2016, 06:14:16 PM
It'll spark a curiosity for sure and maybe some viewers of the ads will google it and try to find out more about it and then they may or may not invest in it.

So yeah it could work but who's going to pay for the advertisements?
209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Is Missing From Bitcoin In Order For It To Be More Adoptable For The Masses on: March 21, 2016, 05:44:32 PM
Bitcoins aren't accepted by many websites online and the debit cards also have a very high fee due to which users don't feel like investing in bitcoins. My friends who use PayPal and other payment methods don't believe in it due to the price fluctuations and hence the masses need something that they can use in their day-to-day life and not a crypto currency whose price isn't stable or fluctuates a lot. BTC is mainly for investors who can take risks.

There are services like Bitpay for that, they instantly convert the bitcoins  a business receives thereby reducing the risk of loss due to price fluctuations, so I don't think its that.

I think it is just lack of knowledge and bad reputation spread by the media which is stopping people from adopting it.
210  Economy / Gambling / Re: ★BetBTC - Bitcoin Sports Betting | More Sports | Instant Payments | Like Betfair on: March 21, 2016, 01:01:14 PM
Guess what?

E-Sports were added to BetBTC
https://www.betbtc.co/sports/e-sports

This is a great addition for the e-sports lovers, I on the other hand have never made any bets on any e-sports, don't know how they even work. Aren't they more prone to be fixed?

212  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what happens to Bitcoin if internet goes down? on: March 20, 2016, 04:59:04 PM
even if internet goes down bitcoin is safe since we are keeping it on our own and many of bitcoin users have a copy of blockchain on their hard drive.

Fiat would also go down, as about 97% of the £ (other currencies are similar) is electronic in that it's just recorded on private ledgers held by banks. In both cases wouldn't the ledgers still exist? Not sure if bitcoin could recover.

If a nuclear war happens, everything will go down, in some places people might have to go back to the barter system.

For ex. think of Zombie movies, does the fiat or any other form of currency works?? They don't because every currency depends on a system, if it goes down, so does its acceptance.
213  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 19, 2016, 05:38:58 PM
India require another 31 runs with 6 wickets and 34 balls remaining

They'll win this comfortably. Somewhat disappointed by Pak's performance I was expecting them to reach atleast 140+ but they went too slow at first and couldn't really pace up in the end.
214  Economy / Gambling / Re: Dodadoo - Win Bitcoin while playing dices (Provably fair) on: March 19, 2016, 05:28:50 PM
Visited this site for the first time today, wasn't even aware that it existed until I saw the bitcointalk add, nice look, superb music, wanted to give it a shot but couldn't register, after I click send the page didn't move at all, doesn't shows any errors either, so don't know what it is.
215  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it a sin to gamble? on: March 19, 2016, 05:02:21 PM
If gambling is a sin then I'll burn in hell for eternity, though I don't think it is but what I think sinful is going crazy over gambling, not knowing when to stop and selling everything you have just to make more bets. That's fucked up.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ALL IN!!?? on: March 19, 2016, 02:25:13 PM
Every now and then but almost all the time it ends up in a loss, I am not that lucky but have seen people winning crazy amounts yoloing on 10x.
217  Economy / Gambling / Re: Legit Coin Flip Gambling Websites? on: March 19, 2016, 01:53:33 PM
Betcoin.tm has a coin flip game https://www.betcoin.tm/coinflip/ but haven't played it myself so can't say how good/bad it is. You can play dice at 2x, think of heads as going up and tails as going down, it'd be similar to a coin toss.

219  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bitcoin Debit Card 0.5$ + Giveaway on: March 18, 2016, 01:50:49 PM
Would this card work on sites like chaturbate.com? If yes, then there is my genuine reason for needing one because as you know they don't accept bitcoins anymore. But also need to know how much is filling up and spending charge.
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 18, 2016, 01:43:58 PM
I bet on NZ when the odds were really high but only pocket change because I was almost sure they'd lose but this was unbelievable win for them. Cheesy

Next up, I am going with England.
