A tie after the first 2 questions is perfectly fine for me😁 We have 4 different answers left and a lot can be decided today😁 I hope that there will be many goals today!

Boom Barca, boom BVB almost-late goal! It's now 3-1 with just 2 different answers left, so I will at minimum walk away with one point. You're welcome, the rest of you looking up at Slissy Wink

I go to bed tonight knowing I'm not SO shit if I can stand up to the current leader. *cries mid-table tears

Well, I didn't expect BVB to be SO toothless. They also probably didn't expect Atleti to be so daring. Goals aside, the adventure came from the home side. Thought after winning Der Klassiker they would fancy themselves a chance here. Switching to Barca/PSG after this break.

Damn, LFC_Bitcoin and myself are the only ones with any points from yesterday's games?
31 different submissions have been made for these 2 games, we have 6,5% efficiency rate Grin

I was going to comment about this but saw you got there first. Pretty impressive to be the only ones walking away with points, and at odds that weren't too shabby too. LFC_Bitcoin rocking late!

Woe for us who put our faith in Bayern/Real's pedigree -- but a draw was the fairest result, in a game where fair has little meaning.
203  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: btc purchases on: April 10, 2024, 05:45:51 PM
Best way to do this is P2P on software like Bisq (as in the list pointed out above) -- go ahead and read about it. You need a security deposit on Bisq though so likely you can't use it if you don't have any coin. Others will eventually require KYC, believe me.

Brings us to marketplaces like on this forum itself: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=53.0 Pretty sure some traders would accept if you pay first. Given you don't have a reputation here or anywhere else, you'd need to find someone trusted or reputable so you feel safe sending first. Be prepared to face unfavourable terms, as you're an unknown entity.

Binance and other exchanges also have P2P marketplaces -- I believe you don't need KYC to view these. Many leave their contact details, least last I checked.

There were great matches in the Champions League today and the Clubhouse chat on Telegram was also quite entertaining. It is really pleasant to see many names from the forum here. I enjoy following this channel on match days very much. The Zed-Run promotion on Sportsbet has finished. But I'm still playing this game with the remainder of my money on the website and it is quite fun. I guess the only game in which I'm lucky in life could be this one. Tongue

I'm always arriving a bit too late in the chat, but nice to catch up sometimes there too. More a lurker than a chatter these days, but yeah it's a lot of fun especially if you're also tuning into the commentary. Last night must have been pretty crazy, with ten goals all over the place!

Zed Run was a nice distraction, I won once, blew it all on football (how else?) and then never recovered. You should start transferring some of that luck in life to luck in love Wink

Sweet win Betwrong,
It's a pleasure to receive congratulations from such an experienced sports bettor like yourself.

If only it were this easy in life to please people, glad you're enjoying! I might be more vocal but in the shadows are some really big punters -- you're almost assured that if someone on this forum is responding on this thread and are in BSFL or any of the pools, that they're a proper sports punter. Sportsbet peeps are pretty serious about their bets Wink

So, Slissy, what an outcome. We both liked Bayern, and we both picked the wrong side in a draw -- so finely balanced, as it should be. I actually missed most of the opening minutes (watched Real, and I think that was the right choice even with 4 goals in London) but still saw enough of the game to be entertained. Have to say neither Real nor City looked or played like Real or City -- attacking with abandon, Haaland goes missing in those types of frantic games.

Perfect recipe for second legs to have more of the same. Like cryptofrka pointed out in UCL thread, bloody shame that we had to wait this long for proper football and then we are forced to choose one or the other.

Oh and yes, on tennis. I actually looked at the draw on official site and it hadn't marked anyone as withdrawn when I submitted; shouldn't trust slow officials... be like Cro2, spreadsheet updated minutes after FT.

If Real Madrid loses/win or fail to score 1.5 goals tonight you lose? Okay Deal....

No, I meant they must score 1.5 over 2 legs. Surely I can't ask for 2/1 for them to score 2+ each leg haha.

OK finalise.

1. Real to qualify to SF; and
2. Real to score over 0.5 goals in each leg (regular time only).

This is free money, given they're the slight underdog at home, and surely even more so away.
209  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 09, 2024, 01:39:36 PM
Finally, some proper top-tier club football (hopefully). Probably the weakest team in the competition, but I'd love BVB to massively shock the royalty. Or Barca, who knows? But the way football in UCL has been going, it's been favourites all the way except in group stages where shit happens.

A kind nudge to anyone who cares, do check your totals in Pot B and alert me if something's amiss. I already fixed missing points for two participants (who changed their usernames, so the formula ignored them). I do check every matchday but as attentive as I can try to be, I really won't know if you've changed your username unless I know you really well.

Either way, a final reminder to those yet to submit Pot B picks (you can find the link on OP). Don't let Hhampuz and cryptofrka cruise too easily!

OK Superbru needs a "copy" option. I'll just copy Slissy from now on. Practice results, not sure, if I'd changed my mind in races before I'd have put Leclerc even higher up the grid, I have half a feeling some drivers are trolling during practice.

Trying to catch up here so help me out: if Sainz is such a great driver, why doesn't he have a place yet next season? He waiting for RB to court him or?
211  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What Will Happen If the Mt. Gox Stolen Funds Start to Move on: April 09, 2024, 09:57:24 AM
Bitcoin will crash!

That's the speculation each time they talk about MtGox coins. Also the same talking about Silk Road coins. Never mind that they make up but a drip into the ocean of volume each day on public exchanges. Never mind they probably won't move on exchanges but on OTC. People always seem to think they'll just cause a massive shudder of selloff.

Get over it, nothing to see here =)
212  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 08, 2024, 10:12:23 PM
20 submissions so far, which is actually quite a feat, considering. I'll send a reminder tomorrow for stragglers.

Anyone else feel Bayern has a chance at an upset? You know they've been outright favourites for many seasons until City this one.

The odds from the return games attracted me so I spent some points there unnecessarily. I hope to hit these, they would be a nice boost to keep 2nd place before the last round.
Hhampuz is unerachable but the battle for top 5 will be fierce.

So far I won points in all rounds, I expect to do it once again. Curious to see what people close to me picked.

I felt I had to add some sprinkles there, as it's a risk to bet on without knowing 1st leg outcomes. But yeah, Hhampuz has this in his hands I feel. Would require others below to go for broke on the penalty shootout (we had 1 in the last 16, but not at the KO stage for 10 years before!).

The addition of getting potential bonus points was a good idea buwaytress. I’m not well placed in Pot B but I’d like to keep my 5th position, if not improve it in the SuperBru pool.

The competition is so fierce with you bitcointalk.org guys. I regularly perform quite poorly in pools vs you guys.

Quite because I didn't properly plan Matchdays! But glad there aren't many complaints (yet). From the submissions sent, I think people more or less understood what they had to do, except Strongkored who put in 20 stakes haha. As per precedent, I'm only accepting the first 10 stakes, anyone who put in more won't have the latter points count.

Really pleased to see you doing well in this one!

The odds are 55-45, which is not much of a difference - I'm letting you take 14-time champions against one-time champs whose best player is 60-year-old KDB. You have all the juice in your castle, but as a King, I'll let you pick the "creativity." Make it watering.

Condition: Team to proceed to the Next round...

I'm going to go for boring. 1mbtc on Real to proceed to the next round but must score over 1.5 goals (both legs). Now tell me you don't fancy that free money!

Nice mix, the only downside is I have to wait quite a long time to see how I did. Feel like you could have gone even further overboard and offered some proper multi for those without much chance. Like Lewandoski gets a red card and Jamal scores 3+ goals across both legs with Napoli not scoring in both games @30.

JK, by the way. That wouldn't be fair to those on top, even if there is no chance of it happening.

Believe me, my natural instinct was to go all 10/1 and above. But one of them would have to hit, and then you would get everyone in 11th place and below -- myself included, throwing our points there. Hit, and poor guys who worked so hard in Top 10 would feel (justifiably) aggrieved.

I still think one 10/1 in there is a good balance, we've had at least one of those every Matchday anyway!

Already have some mini ideas to do something for next season that will still be odds-based at the foundation, but should include some "skill" multipliers to further reward knowledge. Simplest form would be to have an additional set of questions that each add 0.1x multiplier to total points accrued. It will require a longer questionnaire, not sure how people feel about putting in more work but hey, if the prize is right... right? Just need to really study the new format first!

So If I understand this right, I wont get any point this week because Im betting on the bonus outcome on 2nd leg but then I will get another 10 points to stake on the 2nd leg so thats total of 20 points for me on 2nd leg ?

You only get 10 points. This Matchday covers the entire QF (both legs). You'll just have to wait for that to settle =)

Sadly, no more sidebets for me for a few weeks right now. I kind of overextended on my um gaming issue, and have been giving away money so I hope you guys enjoy Igebotz funds. I know we still need 1 bet on UCL Igebotz, but I'll respond in that thread so I keep track myself.

Don't feel too bad. Quite a number of us vets are experiencing a really bad dip in form. slackovic, leea, myself are all struggling. See you in Div2 next season maybe? #happysad

Slissy, time for me to take some points of you, seeing as how you can definitely afford it!
214  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin the HERO we never knew we needed on: April 08, 2024, 06:55:38 PM
It's harder and harder to acquire bitcoin without KYC.
The anonymity of bitcoin from p2p exchanges or via mining will become more and more valuable in the future.

Mmm, I'd say it's actually easier -- you couldn't use anything but Localbitcoins or similar just 5 years ago, unless you got referred to someone or someones by someone else. Or you come on this forum.

Now you've got quite easily the likes of Bisq appearing on Google.

It's easier to get Bitcoin from a CEX now than it is (which always required KYC), easier to find someone to do P2P, easier to get someone to accept you local currency or payment method on that route.

Trading's something else, of course but I think there are many more visible opportunities now than ever (KYC or not).

Bitcoin was created Satoshi Nakamoto and not Sensei Satochi
Lol, you don't get it, he knew the Bitcoin creator's full name but saying sensei means master satoshi, he is just hyping the whole thing up.

Thought I'd be the first to point it out, don't even know Japanese but thought surely most people would have caught on that, or is the word sensei just not as widespread as I'd thought?
215  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for April on: April 08, 2024, 02:00:33 PM
tokes, holiday? What's that?

I'm leaning for a halving expectancy here. Which means, no $75k close, even if we might gun for it in the next week or so. Purely arbitrary, I suppose. I think one surprise (ATH pre-halving) is about enough for the quarter, would take a bit more than interest and supply halving to deter those looking to skim off quick profits. Shake out some of them would-be long-termers, and then some more positivity leading to US elections, wham bam, new severe ATH.

I am reading more and more about supercycles. Which I dislike, since the majority always seem to be proven wrong.
216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Italian Serie A ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: April 08, 2024, 11:00:21 AM
^ Of course we care, but after getting the wooden spoon last round, I was careful not to talk up my chances. Actually thought I'd get smart with the first game (which had a draw written all over it) and then proceeded to go with the "gut says good teams win" so of course, lost out on Torino and Atalanta. Napoli almost made it to that shit list too...

... you can't be all about luck if you didn't predict Napoli and Juve to win Wink

A slow trek to the finish line but Inter will be unchallenged.
217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⭐⚽⭐ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk Sports Fanatics League (BSFL) – 10000$ rewards ⭐⚽⭐ on: April 07, 2024, 04:27:32 PM
This is how every Sunday should end in BSFL, eh mv1986. I knew the goal against was coming, didn't expect it to be like that, what a gift, eh? Rooney was the last United player to score against Liverpool from outside the box haha. And then they turn it around, 2 shots, 2 goals. We should have been out of sight at half time.

I wasn't too happy I failed the F1 question -- but one probably needs to understand that sports is maybe not even worth going against when it comes to low-volatility tracks. Either way, if anyone asks me any day of the week if I would stake all my points on a Liverpool win, I would take it without hesitation. Now we share points -- I'm stuck in no man's land and I really need to work on my goal difference, no idea how though.

Also nice that our top 2 leaders drew -- dropped points at the summit are the best.

218  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🏆Rollbit.com | Champions League Pool | $11,000+ in Prizes ⚽️ Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2024, 03:30:24 PM
This time, I already filled out the forms, to see if I hadn't forgotten like the other times.  Tongue

Now I don't know if it was a great choice, but in a few days we'll know.

We still only have 9 submissions, but I know majority will come in on the day itself, I'll be a nice guy and send a reminder if I remember -- it's really quite pointless I feel to wait, too little could change to truly affect outcomes. Except if Mbappe, Lewandowski or even Simeone get themselves ineligible to play/coach, them being part of Bonus Outcome selections.

I'll be watching Europa though -- it looks like we'll be clashing with Leverkusen if we make it to the final, who'll probably be fresh off winning Bundesliga.
219  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Sportsbet.io's English Premier League Football Pool Discussion Thread on: April 07, 2024, 01:50:07 PM
I have to say that I did not expect Arsenal to win so dominantly today.
When the teams are so close to each other, having a big GD gives you that extra bit of leeway and they are increasing it even further.
It's basically an extra point for them at this point in time.

To be fair to them, they have the best attack and the best defence in the league so far - statistically, they deserve the title. They have the hardest schedule until the end though - so let's see where they end up.

No matter the fantastic statistics, I still have them behind both Liverpool and City.

Yeah. I watched it properly until the penalty. I had given up hope already by then, Brighton were just lost at sea and Arsenal are playing with some kind of weird confidence you don't even see City have any longer.

Agree they deaerve a title shot but football is not much about deserve heh, and I still think they are vulnerable as soon as their aura wears off. What a gd they have though! Can't see Liverpool overcoming that unless we get another big outsized win. Maybe today? Haha
220  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Sportsbet.io ⚽ Bundesliga ⚽ Football Pool Discussion Thread 2023/2024 on: April 07, 2024, 12:18:03 PM
Spare a thought for Kane... or is there a Champions League twist? I say so.

I think many people sympathize with Bayern like me: in European competitions they are one of their favorite clubs, but in the Bundesliga I rather root for any of their competitors - Dortmund or Bayer, it doesn’t matter (however, Bayer is so good this season that it’s hard not to sympathize with them).
As for the money bets, after the previous season and many terrible games this season, it would be strange if the bookmakers were generous.
I don’t know whether Kane will be able to single-handedly influence the games with Arsenal - both teams are determined to control the ball and if Arsenal wins the center of the field, then Kane simply will not see the ball. Different scenarios are likely here, but if Arsenal wins the first game, they will dry out the second, just like in the confrontation with City.

I'm blessed with a neutral outlook, and it's hard to feel sympathy for a club that's had 11 consecutive titles (or maybe even more, I can't be bothered to check) and always hard to support a team so dominant; the league is irrelevant. I can even objectively say if there comes a time Liverpool dominates their league, I can understand it will be unpopular. This is, perhaps, the way it should be.

Bayern the underdogs vs Arsenal, Kane or not, that has to be some kind of error in bookmaker estimation, don't you agree? There is such a thing as pedigree in a knockout competition, but perhaps one simply cannot ignore form.

It was shocking to see how they played against Manchester City. I thought it was supposed to be a top game with chances on both sides, but 27% ball possession for a team like Arsenal?

Well, they have become more mature, they never won in Etihad, their past results were hammerings. I think 0-0 when you planned, and restricted City to one attempt (also a record for them), was a victory. Whether or not they can display the same game management and maturity against Bayern, one of the most mature sides left in the UCL, we'll find out.
