2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Strategy on: July 14, 2018, 01:18:18 PM
if you want to participate in signature campaign you need to understand that first you have create time to make quality post that will earn you stake weekly. signature campaign if one of the campaign that pay more. this is because less number of people do participate and sometime the percentage allocated for it is always high. however there are still some bounty manager that allocate small percentage for signature campaign but everything boil down to total amount of participants. the higher the number of participant the lower the amount of token you will earn. Sylon is one of the few bounty manager that use to allocate up to 40% of total bounty pool to signature campaign. I will suggest you check him out. also due to lengthy period of time it may take, I will suggest you join bounty that allocate high amount of ETH to bounty (not high amount of token. high token may be allocated but the price in ETH may be small so always convert amount of token allocated to eth if you want to know how much money is allocated in ETH)
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Just sold everything and bought Cardano! on: July 14, 2018, 01:09:18 PM
I do not really comprehend because it’s a little complicated
Cardano is a new coin with prospects and thus gives profit at the early stage of development
But on the long run if they can’t meet up with the roadmap of the project ends up as a dump coin as others token
Would implore you to monitor its progress duly and take the right steps too
I think the op have really factor in all the risk before putting much hope on the coin. However cardano seems not to be bad choice. of course every coin come with its own pro and cons. the success of any coin lie much on the developers irrespective of whether the coin is new or old. the highly rated bitcoin today was ones a new coin. so the fact that a coin is new doesnt depict its success. what really matters is the concept and general acceptability of the coin. most used and dump coin have just a shining whitepaper with nothing significant to contribute to crypto world. real investors invest in coin that have good prospect.

2004  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in Nigeria on: July 13, 2018, 06:03:07 AM
yes you are very correct and it is going to be very difficult to predict the future of bitcoin in nigeria.Though government policies are not against bitcoin, but it acceptability is very low, and the reasons been that there is no bitcoin publicity.
Nigeria government through the CBN have policy for digital currencies. if you have been following the CBN during the time of MMM ponzi scheme you will know this. in fact they warned several time that people should stay away specifically from cryptocurrency and ponzi scheme but I am very sure if they ban cryptocurrency it cant be effective because Nigeria lack measure to regulated an internet related activities. beside the government is facing alot of problem right now (security, economy crisis etc) but by the time they discover Nigerian are making large furtune from crypto they may be looking for way to stop them Grin.
2005  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in Nigeria on: July 13, 2018, 05:51:10 AM
My fear.

Is not that Nigeria lacking behind?. Hell shouldn't be.  I see lome Africans growing faster and faster when it comes to bitcoin utilization but here in Nigeria reverse is the case.

But this article says otherwise:

Quote

Nigerian Entrepreneurs are Choosing Bitcoin Over the National Currency

A growing number of businessmen in Nigeria are opting for handling their business using the digital currency instead of the Naira. The country’s national currency seems to be more volatile than Bitcoin, at times.

As cryptocurrencies fight for relevance around the world, Nigerian citizens are starting to use Bitcoin as an alternative to their own currency, the Nigerian Naira. If you take a quick look at the Naira on TradingView, you’ll quickly see how the currency has been losing its value consistently over the past 5 years.

https://www.ccn.com/nigerian-entrepreneurs-are-choosing-bitcoin-over-the-national-currency/

It was reported that businessman or entrepreneurs opted to choose bitcoin over your local currency. Maybe its a slow process and you  haven't felt the impact yet. I'm sure that in the next couple of years, Nigeria will be in the for front and one of those countries in Africa leading the way.

In Nigeria, Bitcoin adoption was in response to the 2016 financial crisis, which limited international trading due to the insufficiency of foreign currencies. The common factor for Bitcoins in both Nigeria and the USA is the isolation from financial crisis and that it serves as a great medium for exchange during these times.

I do not know where CCN get that information from. before people will choose bitcoin over local currency, bitcoin must have been dominant in making payment in such country. what we do here in Nigeria is to convert the bitcoin back to fiat using some local exchangers. no offline online store will accept bitcoin as a mode of payment here in Nigeria. reason why there has been growing interest in crypto is as a result of very high unemployment rate which forces so many Nigerian into alternative way of earning a living and ever since the incident of MMM scam, so many nigerian have since see crypto as an alternative way of earning a living
2006  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Future of bitcoin in Nigeria on: July 12, 2018, 07:10:48 AM
I do not think Nigeria is lagging behind. I have seen many project startup being launched in Nigeria. Kurecoin, sleekpay etc and the presence of Nigerian on the internet using cryptocurrency is greatly increasing but I am sure you understand Nigeria is a kind of country where many people do the same business. people are scared of exploring new opportunity because they do not want to lose money even though very high unemployment rate have make some people to start exploiting cryptocurrency. Nigerian government through the central bank also have warned so many time that Nigerian should stay away for any cryptocurrency related activities. these scare people away from bitcoin because many Nigeria still think bitcoin is a scheme just like MMM that wreck some people life a year ago.
2007  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is Bitcoin making the world go crazy? on: July 12, 2018, 06:34:26 AM
It is nothing but POWER. power to be in charge, power to stop poor people from earning income to sustain their life. Power to stop people from reaching that level which serve a threat to them. the world flare about bitcoin is an indication that some individual, group of people, organisation and institution do not want everyone to succed even in third world countries where there are low standard of living, government are still against bitcoin. they will always say they do not want citizen to lose money to high pyramid scheme. he who have nothing has nothing to lose. I wont be surprise if later we discover government in some country have been secretly investing in crypto.
2008  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why do people need to use Bitcoin for Money laundering? on: July 12, 2018, 06:09:15 AM
It is just like someone who rub gasoline on his body going near fire. bitcoin will be a catalyst which will speed up the rate at which many is being laundered into and out of the country because using digital currency such as bitcoin means criminals need not to carry huge stack of money around. with just single hardware wallet. billions of dollar worth of crypto can be stored and carried around from one place to the other. we all also know that one of the features of crypto is due to its anonymities which means it will be very difficult to trace anyone using bitcoin address except the coin is on  exchange platform which require kyc which I am very sure criminals will not be so stupid to do that.
2009  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will banks ever offer bitcoin deposits? on: July 11, 2018, 10:05:39 AM
I do not think bank will ever accepting bitcoin deposit because traditional banks do not want to be involve in anything that is not regulated and they do not have control over. Just as we speak, banks and other financial institutions see crypto as a threat to their services because many blockchain base platform are now offering some services offered by banks at even less transaction fee and little processing time so why will they want to offer bitcoin deposit?. if any bank certaining want to do this then it will strictly be for selfish interest probably to monitor users with high volumes and tax them heavily
2010  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to all bounty hunters. on: July 07, 2018, 12:02:57 PM
That's a very accurate observation but again , we must realize that it's the bounty Hunter's right to hold or sell their rewards as they so wish and no. One can stop them, it's the reward of the effort they put in therefore they cannot be criticized as much, it's however a fact that their dumping act puts most investors to a disadvantage, however. If you did your research well and settled for a good ICO then the value of the coins will recover after sometime even if the dumpers dump, so there really is nothing to worry about
Well token can be locked so they can be stop for a while. dumping token put the ICO in risk of not reaching their set objectives. even token allocated for ICO advisors are not make available for them immediately but they are locked for long period of time. however talking about token market recovery is out of it becuase that depend on so many factors such as the depth of the token being dumped, general crypto market index etc. token recovery is not something that happen easily. it may take a long period of time and some may not even recover for life again. 99% of the token released to exchange and which are being dumped since the begining of this year are yet to recover to ICO price not to talk of appreciating above the ICO price.
2011  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Advice to all bounty hunters. on: July 07, 2018, 11:52:11 AM
I am bounty hunter and I do not dump my reward. from experience I have come to realize many bounty hunters are the reason while some project fail because they dump the coin when they hit the exchange. this is not good at all. many promising project do not need such a bad influence from bounty hunters. some bounty hunters are so selfish that they are even ready to sell there coin for any price and that is the reason while many of them will be spamming telegram page of ICO with repeated questions relating to exchange listing. many ICO are now becoming wise and they are now locking bounty token for months before they can be traded.
2012  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: This can be addictive!! on: July 07, 2018, 11:28:02 AM
Well when I first started trading I am almost addicted to checking binance every hour and I discover that I end up doing nothing else than to open and stream the binance mobile app to see how far my investment is doing. later i decided to subscribe to newsletters and update concerning the exchange I am using and also to the altcoin I am monitoring I joined their social media and on notification when new post all update is available. that is how I use to monitor investment. one a new coin is being listed i recieve update immediately and quickly check maybe I may be red. market turning red has become so common that I do not even worry alot about it again. in order to be successful trader you must learn how to manage risk.
2013  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: My bounty story (5.99eth) on: July 07, 2018, 10:40:29 AM
congratulation. sadly most bounty campaign are no more paying well as it used to be because many people now join bounty campaigns and the total allocation might not be much. cool cousin must have allocated an huge amount of ETH in token for bounty hunters and the number of people that participated may not be much because the higher the number of participant the lower the amount of token you will earn. some time it really pays to check the equivalent amount in ETH of token allocated for a bounty campaign before joining them. sometime 1 billion token for bounty campaign can be less valuable than 10k of another ico token depending on the price per token of the two ICO.
2014  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What caused all the price drops? on: July 07, 2018, 10:32:51 AM
many reasons are cause of drop in the price of crypto but everything boil down to demand and supply. when the market cap indicate that amount of crypto been sold are much higher than the amount being bought, the price will come down. now many reasons are involve when there are huge sell order than the buy order. it can be as a result of panic created by media attentions which bring negativity to the crypto market. another reason may be because an institution, industries, media platform which are known before to be supporting crypto is dropping support for the coin (e.g facebook banning crypto ads, twitter palaver etc) this will lead to massive drop in the price. Lastly it might an attack on a large market volume exchange platform which resulting in lost of crypto assset.
2015  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Your Country and Cryptos on: July 07, 2018, 10:25:30 AM
Here in my country 3 out of 5 people might probably have heard about bitcoin most probably as a result of High yield investment scheme that meaning of them is interested in. after collapse of the popular Scheme, many of them are now backing up from any related online investment or trading actvivties which make it difficult for anyone to even get their attention when talking about cryptocurrency because its registered in their mind that most online investment are scam. today I have begin to see some ICO originating from my country even though the Central Bank in my country has warned several time that people should avoid any cryptocurrency related activities. although it is not regulated nor ban. just an advice from the government
2016  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you loss you Bitcoin while investing altcoin? on: July 06, 2018, 10:09:52 AM
there are many way you can lose bitcoin when you are trading. generally when you sell altcoin at the price lower than price you bought it then you will certainly lose part of your net amount. also when some of your altcoin you bought sudenly become less traded most time generally refers to shitcoin then you may lose your investment. also when you want to buy any coin try and do well your own research. so not invest in any altcoin which you know is subject around idea which will generally be not accepted after some time. invest in altcoin that provide update frequently and have good roadmap.
2017  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin go under FBI investgation on: July 06, 2018, 06:28:36 AM
well i was ones a victim of liberty reserve ban in some years back by the fbi and ever since then many digital currency payment platform such as perfect money have migrated from .com domain to other custom domain. you may some correct about some HYIP cartel using bitcoin for profit but all these are just hoax and until we all see a tangle information about this, we shall keep witnessing many more hoax. if FBI is going to investigate this who are they going to investigate?. Satoshi Nakamoto?. the worst that can happen is for them to ban all bitcoin related domian on .com and that will be all

2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reasons why ICOs fail on: July 01, 2018, 12:36:27 PM
adding to what you have explained above, the other reasons why ICO fail include crypto market volatility. as we all know the many ICO already have a targeted hardcap which is established base on the crypto market price at that period. in some situation during the ICO when the price of the crypto fall just like what we are witnessing now. the ICO may be affected by not selling enough token required for the project. another reason is due to some investors and bounty hunters that take their investment and dump token especially when the token is available on the exchange. some ICO are now very smart. they now lock token for bounty hunters for period of time to avoid massive dumping of the token.
2020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Campaign on: July 01, 2018, 12:30:26 PM
signature campaign of course. I do not think you can earn more token by participating in facebook campaign than signature campaign because the percentage allocated for signature campaign most time is always higher than those allocated for facebook and most time the number of people participating in facebook is alway greater than signature campaign which means you will earn less token in participating in signature campaign than in facebook campaign. however signature campaign work is always stressful and time consuming than facebook because you have to meet the number of weekly post in a limited board if you want to get stake for that week.
