1221  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I feared new altcoins might be left out on: February 01, 2020, 05:37:29 PM
This is what any brave crypto investor will do. selling shit coin to buy bitcoin. You know, in 2017, alot of people ran to crypto investment and it was a big investment because you can make 10x your investment by investing in project backed token. This is mainly due to the influx of the new traders and investors which stabilizes and also grow the price but now that a lot of bad eggs have entered crypto business by abating and creating project with intention of scamming, it become an obstacle to see token investment booming even if there is another bull run of bitcoin so it is wise to stay with strong coin and trade away other less valued altcoin
1222  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are ICOs really DEAD or simply cleared a path for better projects? on: February 01, 2020, 05:30:23 PM
It is becoming unsustainable to run ICO. This is because many people that were investing before are no more investing and new investors are now considering investing in some high top exchange platform that will offer IEO. Even most projects rely on the fund contributed by the investors, they still make do with some money from their pocket to develop their platform and for marketing. All these monies will actually be accrued to a loss. Some few ones that launch ICO could not even raise 10% of the soft cap not to talk of the lengthy period of time it even takes them to raise this few money. Many of them today are dead on arrival while some are still struggling to develop the project.
1223  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is WPP Project finally scam? 60 Million USD for nothing? on: February 01, 2020, 05:23:52 PM
Just because the price of the token has dropped does not makes the project scam. As much as the dev teams have not abandoned the project it is still not yet a scam. Many of the projects that successfully ran an ICO and listed a coin on exchange platform during the bull run in 2017 were witnessing the same thing wpp is facing. I also participated in AION token and after listing, there was a time the price was almost 10x but today the price has fall less than 500% and yet the team does not abandon the project. Please let us all be guided that the fact that the price of a token is not what we expect doesn't make the project a scam
1224  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to survive if you lose more than 80% of your Capital? on: February 01, 2020, 04:39:02 PM
It is very hard to overcome such a big lost but I have come to realize that the more you try to regain back your loss, the further you continue to lose. Also, from my experience, it is very possible that you lose much like this when you like trading on the pump and dump token and when you only do that with a short term investment plan. Last year, I was trading an altcoin called BNOW. I invested 100 dollars and traded making at least 100% every week. I continued this with the hope of making $1000 before I will withdraw my money. After a month, the project turn scam and the team massively dumped the token, when I checked my wallet, my balance was less than 20 dollars  Grin. up till date, I didn't even check my wallet again.
1225  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Reason behind the fall of altcoins??? on: February 01, 2020, 04:29:18 PM
Most of the altcoins that are being created lack innovative project backing. the altcoin has lost credibility. All that you see if you look out wide are some groups of people that will just come online, create a smart contract cheaply and also role out their own altcoin. All these shit altcoins have affected the price of some few good altcoins. And even as we all know that the market cap of crypto has dropped compared to before when there are many people actively trading crypto. If some few good altcoins like ETH, XRP etc. are struggling, you should not expect others to be rising except some random pump and dump.
1226  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Exchanges closed down in 2019! on: January 31, 2020, 08:07:58 PM
I used coinexchange few weeks before closing. They really did wonderfully well and their reason for shutting down was that it wasn't sustainable to run an exchange platform because they are running at lost. I think they are very straightforward with nothing to hide. I think the major reason why most of them are closing down is due to low trading volume and many of them are just actively dead  Grin. despite the fact that many of the already existed project are closing down, there are still many of them on ANN thread still coming out about exchange development project. In fact strongly believe there are too many exchange platform. it is good that they are gradually doing down.
1227  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best Places To Hold Initial Coin Offerings on: January 31, 2020, 07:57:17 PM
If you mean IEO then there are numerous places you launch IEO depending on some factors such as the cost of launching an IEO, novelty of the project. The best is binance but it is capital intensive and your project must be solid without any hidden details or trying to be anonymous by faking your identity. Anyway, the chances of getting listed on binance is very slim even if you have the money. Livecoin is another good place to launch IEO although recently, they stop accepting IEO. Others include STEX and KUCOIN. most of these exchange have a large amount of traders and your token can be sold out within a few days so you may not need external promotion or affiliated marketing.
1228  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: That's my 2020 portfolio, what are you opinions? on: January 31, 2020, 07:48:27 PM
If I were you, I will consider BNB token. I know some people might have some negative thought about BNB because it is on by a centralized exchange but it is one of the few coins that was very profitable last year and I believe the same thing will happen this year. Due to the Binance DEX that was launched last year, The was high demand for BNB even though some people believe that is the reason behind the pump in the price but I think whenever Binance intend to list any project on the launchpad, the price of the BNB always goes up and I am very optimistic two to three project will be launch this year on their launchpad.
1229  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in football on: January 31, 2020, 12:48:54 AM
this is long overdue. promotion of bitcoin and services that make use of bitcoin on football match has been on the screen long time ago. Maybe because you don't watch football regularly. I have seen this couple of time on the EPL banners and on screen advertisement board where the promotion of crypto has been seen. The same thing apply to promotion of gambling site that use bitcoin and other crypto. 1xbet promotion is well known in England premier league and I have watched an advert about 1xbet being supported by Barcelona. All this will go a long way to tell you that bitcoin is a legit ecurrency and probably we shall see a revolution in term of dominance in the nearest future
1230  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exchanges are now potentially banning btc sent to a mixing/conjoin services on: January 31, 2020, 12:38:41 AM
Everybody is condemning this but nobody has stated maybe there is some negative impact associated with users sending bitcoin to the bitcoin mixer. If not one or two centralized exchange is doing this, then there should be a cogent reason for this and by the way, I do not think Binance will query users for this if it is not stated explicitly on their term of service. I believe this is part of the thing that differentiates the centralized exchange platform from the decentralized one, so if you wanna use the centralized exchange, you gotta follow their T&C. I use coinbase a long time ago but when I heard the news about them blocking the account of users that send a coin to a gambling site, I heard to switch to bitpay wallet.

1232  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The next action of Old man McAfee on: January 31, 2020, 12:19:16 AM
Most of his followers are newbie who just want to hear a piece of quick information about a possible pump and dump coin. This is because of the major prediction he had made earlier that came to pass so some crypto traders take him as a major influencer. Back then, soo many ICO even use him as part of their strategy to sell token by telling investors that their project is back by John mcafee. So everything has passed now and the man to me is looking frustrated because he does not make money like ever before again. It is a new world entirely not only for him but also for all crypto enthusiast and he is gradually becoming a joke that no one should take serious.

1235  Economy / Speculation / Re: It's over $9000! on: January 28, 2020, 05:22:12 AM
I think this meme really fits the value of Bitcoin at this moment.

It seems bitcoin's price stays a while in the range of 8500-8900$, but now it surpasses 9000$.
As of now, they're starting another run to claim 9200$ bitcoin price.

I am a little bit surprise that bitcoin already hits 9000$ usd price as many are asking whether it can reach 9k$ by the end of January 2020 and now we are already there eve if we are still 3 days away before January ends.

If this continue to grow, this is the best signal that we will be hitting the bull run by the end of first quarter this year. It will be a lively market again as long as the market will continue to behave like this.
And this is the reason why it is always good to make great decisions and invest in good crypto such as BTC. I could remember vividly when the price was around 6k and it stays that way for a long time. Many were thinking it could go below since it looks like the support at 6k was strong but here we are today 28/01/2020 with the price slightly above $9k. In a few days time, we will know again the direction the BTC will follows. Either it goes up and break the resistance and might be seen btc getting close to 12k before the middle of February or it might slightly goes back to 8k. This has happened many time before in 2019. This has also affected other crypto because most coins are now showing green on coinmarketcap. Well it worth taking jab on crypto. If you buy at 6k I am sure you have make some little profit now.
1236  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: By now, is it worth to invest in major altcoins for the long term? on: January 27, 2020, 06:39:08 PM
Smart people are still investing and filling their wallet as the price is going down and up but this call will not be made for you and anybody because nobody knows what will happen in the nearest future. If we are to believe speculations BTC must have hit $50k by now  Grin. If you want to invest for a long time, I think it is a good idea but do not forget to do your research on the coin you intend to invest in and probably get a hardware wallet to store your coin and token. If I wanna invest, I think BNB will be my number one priority for medium-term investment and for long time coins like BTC, ETH and XRP come to mind. The time has passed to keep on holding those shit token on mew. It is better to keep 2 top coins than keeping 20 useless token and be waiting for random pump on shitty exchange platforms Grin
1237  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why Altcoins not Growing These Days on: January 27, 2020, 06:18:49 PM
2019 is not what many of us expect in term of the price. I could remember the people predictions and speculations during the start of 2019 and toward the last quarter of the year, we were hoping to see crypto rally but all to no avail. I think this is due to low interest in crypto by the people at large. Not only this, a lot of projects are turning to scam and many people are not ready to invest in crypto anymore. 2019 was a year we all expect more due to replacement of ICO by IEO but this turn out to be another bad influence but we have also learned a lot from this as we are fully aware of some exchange platform that are bad energy and cancer to cryptocurrency. 2020 is another year we all hope to we witness a turnaround in the crypto market and hopefully, this rally come soon to regain the glory of crypto
1238  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do they accept bitcoin in your country embassy? on: January 27, 2020, 06:01:14 PM
Nigerian government through the central bank has frowned about the cryptocurrencies and have won several time that people should not consider it as a safe and secure currency. However, there has been growing trading of the coin among the citizens. Today, you can not work a mile without seeing a poster of crypto trading. However, the acceptance of bitcoin in government agencies and other areas such as aviation and all other countries embassy have not at any time accepted crypto as a means of paying for visa applications, etc. even some of the European embassy that are known to be supporting crypto and blockchain project. probably they are trying to comply with the financial framework that has been established by the government through the central bank. Hopefuly in nearest future we can see any embassy that might be accepting crypto as a payment processor.
1239  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin fraud victim,75, loses £11k in life savings! Secure your BTC just now! on: January 27, 2020, 05:48:32 PM
This is not about getting security for your crypto asset but someone engaging in a rapid Ponzi scheme that promises in doubling her investment. These are the kind of people who are very eager to make huge money without doing a background checks on the person or what they are investing. in 2013, during the period in which HYIP is witnessing huge participants, I also participated but it did not take me much time before I realize that all will end up being a scam. How will someone offer to pay 100% of your investment within 30 days? Even Banks will not give you a 50% interest in one year. The major drawback is the effect it has on the payment processor. We all know what happened to Liberty reserve and hyip is doing the same damage to cryptocurrency by making it look like a dirty.
1240  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Pet shop want to become a bitcoin exchange? on: January 27, 2020, 04:55:46 PM
I am sure you are referring to making crypto as part of the payment processor for your pet shop. If this is so, I think it is a good development and this also comes with challenges and I am very sure you can make it work. Firstly, you should know there are many crypto available today and it is very important you only accept some top coin. I will suggest you only accept BTC, ETH, and XRP in order to minimize the effect of volatility that generally affects the acceptability of the crypto asset. I am very sure most of your customers might be willing to pay with bitcoin using a mobile wallet such as bitpay. So, you can store your crypto temporarily on the mobile wallet but it is very saved to move to a hardware wallet to keep it safe. you can search for the best hardware wallet on this forum. I wish you all the best
