1621  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How good were you at understanding Bitcoin tech before investing in it? on: January 28, 2019, 04:37:10 PM
I got to know bitcoin through crowdworking programme in 2013. When it was introduced as a one of the payment options. To me I do not know much before investing while I started but what I have always do right from the first day i registered on this platform is always monitor and read to understanding any post written by legendary members. In fact there are still many of them that I always visit their profiles and check there posts on investing. Later I started reading whitepapers and also ask questions directly from dev to know exactly what the project is all about before investing.
1622  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto is not a get rich quick scheme on: January 24, 2019, 05:54:43 PM
From my little experience and findings, this is not the first time crypto will be witnessing set back but as a result of continous grow in the numbers of people that is into bitcoin, we continue to hear different side views. To me it is time to learn in hard way and like they say that experience is the best teacher. I believe a lot of people that have witnessed this in the past are using their experience to load their wallet with crypto that they believe will go wide ones the bear market is over. I am currently doing the same as well. Buying coin with great potentials.
1623  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: London Stock Exchange fighting against Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency on: January 24, 2019, 05:42:42 PM
of course they pose a risk and they are actually part of selfish individual that feel threaten because they see that people will surely prefer investing in crypto other than the traditional stock exchange. Some of them are behind many negative articles being published online in order to bring crypto down but all I know is that the crypto will come stronger than before. I personally have conversed with a banker who told me that technology behind crypto (i.e. blockchain) is evolving and he said he sees many financial institutions adopting it in the nearest future.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Blockchain values to maintain in 2019 on: January 23, 2019, 09:30:26 PM
i read about a post also by cointelegraph that talked about bitcoin taking decades to reach back it highest rise and when it does it will come stronger due to more general acceptability
1625  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO New format scam on: January 23, 2019, 04:24:42 PM
A lot of them are confuse and do not know what the future holds for them. I have seen many projects having run for many months end up making refunds. Those are even better because they are refunding the money collected even though there may be shortage in amount being returned. I recently noticed an ICO called Elisia that boldly written in the whitepaper that Amount contributed may not be returned and still some people still invested their money. Today Elisia is a scam project and you need to see how the CEO is making fun of his Scammed victim on their telegram page
1626  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: John Mcafee on: January 23, 2019, 04:13:09 PM
I never for once takes anything the man says serious, I recently watch one of the video he did inside a ship talking about him being framed by United stated. To me he is just a crypto showman but he is quietly making his money. I have seen so many ICO in the past using him as advisor and he randomly run an advertisement for many ICO in the past and present. His predictions should not be taking too serious because we all know How difficult it is to predict the price of cryptocurrencies. To me he is just one of many crypto talkative.
1627  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any way I can exchange all altcoins for free? on: January 22, 2019, 04:25:40 PM
I do not think you understand how well exchange works. By the way, you have not told us how you got the token you are holding but if you have invested in ICO token, you will have to wait for the token you are holding to be listed in an exchange before you can actually talk about the trading fee. I do not think you can find any exchange that offer total free services. you may find some that do not charge when trading but when you want to make withdrawal, you will be charged because many of this crypto required miners for them to be transferred
1628  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is blockchain job friendly? on: January 22, 2019, 04:10:22 PM
It is not about creating job but effective handling of information. In fact, the advent of technology has reduced the rate at which people are being employed. Because nearly every area in which people can be employed are being taken up through technology that rendered it unnecessary. Blockchain technology will provide efficient, reliable and reduced cost through which projects from different sectors can be done compared to the traditional concept through which have been used in the past.
1629  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Can A government accept blockchain Without accepting Crypto currency ? on: January 22, 2019, 04:03:31 PM
Yes of course. I have seen many time in online media that blockchain technology are being adopted by china. The same country that have banned crypto related activities. This has come to show how important the technology can drive the growth of economy if apply in some decent sectors. blockchain technology have been increasingly used in financial institutions and also in some sectors that are looking a more secure way of handling identity verification (VelixID). So it is very true that government are accepting the technology but do not support cryptocurrency.
1630  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Beware Bitcoins Email Hack is going viral. on: January 22, 2019, 01:55:21 PM
I personally received one of such mail. What surprised me most is that a password which I have used in more than two occasions was also included in the mail which initially scared me that the info might be through but I summoned courage and change all the password in all the account I have used it. My guess is that the sender must have gained access or purchase users login information from unknown sources and want to use that as a blackmailing tool by sending those messages. if you are in anyway fairing that your mail has been compromise, you can use velixid.
1631  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Let's kick some bear ass on January 30th! on: January 22, 2019, 01:45:45 PM
It is just like the old pump and dump groups on telegram that will fool people into buying a particular coin through their various coordinated channel of which they have invested before announcing this and ones they see that people start buying and they have reached the targeted pump, they will sell off their coin. I personally have been through this before. I fee used and dumped. I can never follow such statement and I believe so many other people here will also not. If you are into crypto to make short term huge profit, I dont think bitcoin should be your destination for now.
1632  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Mistake you should avoid when holding your Altcoins on: January 21, 2019, 03:19:16 PM
Many people have different opinion about holding coin. While some are holding just to make quick profit some are really investing in a project that has potential of being big in the future. A lot have been said about bull run and if you are one of those waiting for bull run, you will have to wait forever. Investing in crypto is not do or die affair. Do not invest because you want to make quick profit all else you we be disappointed. Always invest for a long time gain. Even as many project have lost their value more than 1000%, you should not be surprise some of them will not even rise well if bull runs start
1633  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 21, 2019, 03:04:56 PM
I think KYC is not too troublesome if the project is good and potential, we just need to take some time to do KYC but I still don't understand why we need to do it because we are not investors?
Some projects are located in a country that requires KYC for everyone holding the token so if you have received token through digital marketing then you will need to pass through KYC verification. Although it is a plus for project owners because its reduce the number of token to be distributed among the bounty hunters. However, some project are now keeping passive about kyc during the period of bounty campaign but when the campaign end and they see that amount allocated for bounty might be very huge, they will introduce the KyC
1634  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Why Bounty Hunters Hate KYC !!! on: January 21, 2019, 02:45:09 PM
there are many reasons for this but you should not generalize that hunters hate KYC. there are hunters that do not hate it. One common reason why many hunters hate KYC is that of the safety of their document with such project. There are many cases of fake document being sold on the internet and for this reason, some do not want to give out their document for faceless people. Secondly, it is because of some that have many alt accounts. It is not new that many hunters want to cheat by using multiple accounts to receive a large share of token but since KYC will reveal the secret then they will not like to join such project
1635  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance freezes stolen Cryptopia funds on: January 17, 2019, 06:02:04 PM
it looks like Binance is using this chance to advertise their own exchange as much as they can! so far they have been so active after this hack and have been all over the news with their "warnings" about not leaving your coins on exchanges and now this one talking about how they froze coins there were deposited.

i am more curious about what they are going to do with those coins. are they going to send it back to cryptopia or will they keep it for themselves? Smiley
I dont think binance we do this for publicity stunt. Binance has made their name for a long time and I do not believe they are lying.
1636  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Facebook is Developing a Cryptocurrency on: January 17, 2019, 10:00:20 AM
This has been discussed so many time but we are yet to see or hear any comment about the development from facebook.which ever way it will really be a good thing to see adoption of blockchain by the facebook and hopefully other social media will emulate facebook and also work in adopting cryptocurrency and the blockchain technology
1637  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How important are TPS? on: January 17, 2019, 09:44:55 AM
TPS is an acronyms for Transaction per seconds which mean the speed of transaction. It is very important because it give information about how fast your crypto will be processed and in turn, it also determine how much transaction fee will be used. when you send a coin, you pay a Gas fee which serve as fuel that drive your transaction if the TPS is high, lower gas will be used an lower fee will be charged but when the TPS is low, you willbe charged more transaction fee because you will consume more gas. Low TPS also causes network difficulty.
1638  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What are the best exchanges to list coin? on: January 17, 2019, 09:38:59 AM
depending on your budget. If you truly have made the hardcap and you are interested in bringing a lot of traders as hit on the token I will suggest you list the token on top 10 exchange platform. Binance is really great if you can afford their listing fee. you token will get the best exposure you can dream of. in case you do not have enough budget then you can go for second tier exchange platform, Latoken, coinbene, liquid etc. Avoid lisitng on new exchange platforms that do not enough traders. you can use Alexa ranking tool to know information regarding such platforms.
1639  Economy / Gambling / Re: Coinbet24.com – The #1 Bitcoin Sportsbook on: January 16, 2019, 05:59:36 PM
Anybody still using this website? I'm interested to start betting there but do they pay out quickly?
I haven't used coinbet24 recently, my last deposit/withdrawal was one and a half year ago but from what i've experienced they don't pay out that fast takes a few to several hours for withdrawals to get processed similar to nitrogenports. Can't confirm if the waiting time is still the same, they probably process withdrawals manually.

Edit : made a small edit
I think this is very usual to most sportbook website I have used. They do not pay very fast when you want to payout big winning but in case your withdrwal is very small, you will be credited very fast. I have not experienced any problem when I used coinbet24. in fact, they pay very fast but none of my withdrawal has passed 80mbtc. The only reason why I do not make betting regularly on the site is that they do not have many betting alternatives but their customer services have been very great. They respond promptly to messages.
1640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Fake movie file infects Windows and steals or tricks bitcoin users on: January 16, 2019, 05:48:58 PM
all you need to do is to look for a premium malwarebyte and install on your computer. I have been a victim of cryptovirus before. I downloaded a file and my system became infected with a virus called coinminer. what the virus do is to use the power of your system to mine cryptocurrency for the attacker. I noticed this quickly through the high CPU of my computer and also my battery run down very fast when not connected to charging source. I got raid of the threat through malwarebyte and ever since I have been very careful when downloading especially from sites that give freebies
