1421  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHY DO YOU THINK THE PRICE OF ALTCOIN DROPS WHEN LISTED IN AN EXCHANGE? on: July 15, 2019, 08:22:09 PM
This question has been answered numerous times on different thread here on btt. The price of token drop because of many reasons. Sometime it may be as a result of token dump by hunters and investors that receive huge bonuses. Also, the price dump can be as a result of manipulation by the dev team. This is usually noticed from the first batch of transaction done immediately the token is listed resulting in listing at the price far below the ICO price. Also, listing on batch exchange can also be as a result of price dump. When there is no demand for the token but rather people are selling
1422  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: LOSS TO BAD CRYPTOCURRENCY INVESTMENT on: July 15, 2019, 08:16:26 PM
Everybody make decision at its own peril. The fact that you buy now all later does not me you will lose or gain every time. Some time you lose and some time you gain. I heard a friend that bought 24 ETH when the price was around $600. He has not given up and in fact he stop checking his wallet regularly because he always felt bad. Nobody knows what we happen in the nearest future. So far as ETH still exist, it shall surely reach above 1k one day. Crypto is volatile as you say but hodl it will not do you harm. Only a wise person will continue holding irrespective of the present conditions.
1423  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: List Of People For The Bitcoin Community Never To Trust on: July 14, 2019, 06:34:12 PM
if you mention about poeples that never to trust then i remembered John Mcafee.
he is the one that make me lost more than 60% total from my asset , his statment is really bullsh*t.

I actually spent a lot of time watching his videos and reading his posts on twitter but on the long run I feel convinced that most project dev that he makes mention always tip him to do so. I remember how he made some strange comment about XVG going crazy which actually happened. A lot of traders believe in his market speculations. One he makes mention of any coin or token like this, every traders on his page will rush to exchangers to buy the asset. He is  known for staging pump and dump of crypto asset and i think people now are aware of his mischievous posts

You should add your list JP Morgan too. He said Bitcoin was a Fraud. Later, it turned out that the investment firm owned by him bought some Bitcoin.

https://news.bitcoin.com/after-the-boss-calls-bitcoin-a-fraud-jp-morgan-buys-the-dip/
probably he also fell for the bubble and he thinks the bubble will continue but when the bubble burst, his eyes were opened and all of a sudden, he thinks bitcoin is a fraud. Honestly, I am not surprise when I see influential people trying hard to bring down bitcoin. When you ask Morgan again today about his opinion on bitcoin, you will be surprise that he has another view. Nobody could have think Facebook founder will ever think of creating a blockchain based project. I have heard many top companies, even fintech companies pay their workers salary using bitcoin and yet they will open their mouth to make bad comment about the coin
1425  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why president Donald trump is not a fan of bitcoin? on: July 14, 2019, 06:19:36 PM
I do not see anything bad in what he said. The same thing anyone who does not know much about crypto will say. By the way, we all know that what he said is damn right. Crypto is very volatile and this is one major drawback that limit the acceptability of the digital asset. If you have invested huge sum of money on a business. I do not think you will think of integrating any digital coin as a payment processor for your business especially if you have witness what happened to the price of bitcoin in 2016 to 2019. However, I believe the Libra coin is making him to say all this things because he knows zuckerberg is one dawn achiever.
1426  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge rewards, less value or Less reward, big value on: July 10, 2019, 04:08:29 PM
I still no reason why project should be deceitful by offering promises  that is hard to fulfill and most time they will always tell the BM to put a notice that the team have the right to change the rules. I found this very bad. Many of the are gullible because they know most hunters are always looking for campaign with huge reward. For me I don't see any sense in campaign with huge allocated token that will amount for nothing than few token. I could remember MPG did a very intelligent campaign. I still give kudos to the BM that manage their campaign.
1427  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Question on: July 10, 2019, 03:33:34 PM
Depending on the rules that was stated before the campaign start. Also, when a project didn't meet up in term of softcap in most cases they return the money invested by investors and if this is the case I don't see any reason why they should pay bounty hunters. Even if they give hunters their token, the token will still be useless since the project has been abandoned. It has happened to me in the London block exchange. The project was later aborted and investors were given back their money. They gave we hunters LBX token that is still useless.
1428  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would you sell an altcoin right at the very bottom on: July 09, 2019, 04:41:23 PM
People sell their coin for different reasons. Some urgently need money to take of their family and love ones while some want the money badly to pay for hospital bills. I have recently come across someone who was begging the dev to list the coin he was holding so that he can pay for cancer treatment. The same thing applies to other assets. Why do you think people sell their valuable assets such as cars, lands and houses to pay bills. Some even mortgage their properties and will do anything to see that it is not taken away from them. So next time you see someone that want to sell coin, don't blame them because you don't know what the person is going  through.
1429  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Beware of ieo exchanges on: July 09, 2019, 02:33:20 PM
When adoption of IEO gain popularity, we all know it will have the negative part of it. The most painful part is that many investors have not realized that avoidance of scam is not the only problem associated with investing in ICO. Many of this exchange platforms that are well known as dumping ground take importance of this and they keeps on accepting both new and old project to list their token on their launchpads for cheap fee. The basic truth is that they lack liquidity and ones the token get listed on such exchange, the price falls until the project become dead. Before, project dev use to tell lies that it is hunters that dump token but now we all know this is pure lies. XCT that was listed on latoken has been dumped Even though bounty hunters tokens are locked.
1430  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounty Campaign After Getting Listed on: July 09, 2019, 01:56:28 PM
I think it is needed by developers to inform many people that the project is still running and in demand, I think many people don't know about their coins and the bounty campaign is the right promotion for that.
Don't you think that will be a waste of money. They could have used the money for further development or partnership agreement. For me, I think reason why any project already listed will still be doing  bounty campaign is that they probably want to develop their project further and this is not new because we have seen in the past where many project run bounty campaign more than ones. However, some project such as sport and gambling are usually do a form of advertisements just like those one that are found on the service section of the bitcointalk
1431  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounties rules and regulations on: July 09, 2019, 01:32:30 PM
I understand you are a junior member so I will assume you do not fully understand how things go. It is true that many bounty manager always stated these rules at the beginning of the bounty campaign but you have failed to understand is that many of them use this statement as an excuse for making ridiculous decisions. In most cases some hunters will ask them questions that are very crucial but they will not answer until things gone sour. I have witnessed here on BTT where bounty allocation was reduced to less than 10% of the initial bounty pool and they even make sure many hunters were not able to get their reward out of the wallet because they increase the minimum withdrawal. Anyone that participate in cointorox bounty will understand.
1432  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will You Trust a Project Announce BY A Legendary Member on: July 09, 2019, 01:18:35 PM
In as much as we have seen here whereby a legendary member is involved in a scam and his account receives a red tag, I don't think its wise to tie a trust with rank of member. I have seen many project announcement being posted by Jr Members that turn out fine while also I have seen many also being posted by hero and legendary member that turn out to be scam. Irrespective of the rank of the member, project can be successful and also fail. Posting on announcement and telling users that you are not member of the team or do not have any involvement in the project is just a smart way of telling us we should not disturb you if the project turn out to be scam
1433  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO IDENTIFY GOOD AND SOLID BOUNTIES on: July 08, 2019, 05:48:18 PM
From my experience, there are no permanent properties you can use to measure or determine a good bounty project. You need to keep on changing your priority from time to time. This is because the success of a bounty is partly rely on so many things such as the success rate of the token sales, team factors, bounty manager factors. To me I followed some bounty manager based on the success of their past campaign. And if I see that the BM is.no more doing well, I will move on to another bounty manager. From my past here, yahoo still remain the best bounty manager I have worked with but he doesn't manage many bounty.
1434  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HOW TO IDENTIFY GOOD AND SOLID BOUNTIES on: July 08, 2019, 05:43:22 PM
maybe you should add white paper as one part to identify a solid and trusted bounty. a good project always describes the projects they work on white paper. by understanding the white paper we can predict whether the project they are working on will be successful, trusted and worthy for participating in their bounty.
This use to be the major way of determining the good project in the past because the white paper reveal the depth of the project. But now, many dev have mastered the act of writing whitepaper with great content. In fact many of the scam project I have seen in the past such BNOW have little or no plagiarized content. Therefore, white paper is no more valid as the medium of knowing a good project and this is even different from bounty because you can have a solid project that run bounty campaign that end up in shit. Some project such as Globitex comes to mind.
1435  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 gives birth to too many shitcoins on: July 07, 2019, 06:52:07 PM
I once read a comment of one of the legendary member here on BTT about how easy it is to creates an ERC20 smart contract with just little amount and this is exactly why many project always rush to make ERC20 token. Many of them can not afford a fully optimized website not to talk about going with blockchain technology that best suite their project. In case you don't know, a lot of project that intend to launch bounty this day make use of erc20 token just because they want to lock some certain people's token when it is released for them. All these are what we have noticed
1436  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do you think of tokens that did not update their Bitcointalk thread on: July 07, 2019, 06:46:45 PM
In case you have not noticed. Many of this token that rush to gain attention on btt stopped creating ANN because they have seen it that BTT rules are not as simple as it was before. Now you need to comply with the new forum rules and since a lot of them are even not really a good one they do not bother but rather create a telegram and launch little bounty or giveaway that make it compulsory for all participants to join the telegram page. And in case you don't know, it is now a punishable offence to participate in giveaway and some airdrops. Spamming also in Ann can lead to banning.
1437  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will IEO be good in the future? on: July 07, 2019, 06:38:37 PM
The fact that a project shifted to IEO doesn't mean that it will be successful. So far so good, many of the exchange platforms that are not in top tier exchange have not really passed very well because most of them lack liquity that the token will fall back on after the IEO. For example, a token name XCT did IEO on an exchange and at the moment the listing price has dropped more than 1000% meaning that investors will have to wait till the price of the token is above the price they bought it during IEO. People choose to invest in IEO rather than ICO because they think they can be scammed.
1438  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do Bounty Programs Really Work? on: July 07, 2019, 06:31:50 PM
It is rather a luck so to say now. Gone are the days when bounty hunting are very great source of making cool cash. You can even rely on it as the only source of income then. Spamming and different means through which hunters get to make some sales commission are not that alarming compare to now. Even now you can't be sure the major members of a project on telegram pages are not bounty hunters because a lot of project now make compulsory for hunters to also join telegram group. To cut it shot, bounty hunting is not as good as it was but rather a slim luck.

1440  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why drop in price when listed on exchange market? on: July 03, 2019, 08:36:01 PM
there are many reasons for this but they can be categorized into two. Firstly, the price of cryptocurrencies are very volatile. Listing on exchange can cause the price to be lowered due to high volatility. Also, when coin is listed, many holders most especially those investors that bought token with huge discounts and bounty hunters intend to sell quickly dragging the price to be low. Irrespective of the dumping of the coin, a good and reliable project backed token will continue to witness organic increase in price. However, this may not happen if the token is listed on exchange with low traders.
