1081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bounty Managers and Shit projects on: March 09, 2020, 07:41:11 AM
Bounty managers are divided into many groups. There are some of them that they are doing it mainly to earn income and this group of managers is not different from bounty participants. They care less about what happened as long as they have been paid. They are the managers that will tell you from the beginning that they are not responsible for bla bla bla. The other categories of the managers are the ones that has integrities and they put this above any other things. Most of them have a high reputation and they do not want to lose their reputation. They have strict rules regarding bounty participation and they can go in any length fo fight for the right of the bounty participants. Most time they manage few bounty campaign.
1082  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Importance of good marketing on: March 09, 2020, 07:33:34 AM
Marketing is very important and it is the determining factor of many successful projects. However, a good marketing strategy must be backed up with great products and services and also good product development. No matter how good a marketing strategies are if the project development is not good, it is likely it will get to a point where demand for the product will not be that great and might lead to the death of the project.
1083  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: After Ethereum, Which Smart contract platform is better? on: March 09, 2020, 06:26:55 AM
You can not actually predict the one that is the best because they all have different usability, scope and limit so in order to get what exactly you are looking for you need to tell us what requirement your project needed so that the community would suggest the best one for you. Personally, I do not like ETH smart contract. This is because it has become the destination of the shit project just because it is very cheap. EOS for me is the best
1084  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vindax Scam on: March 09, 2020, 06:22:52 AM
There have been numerous complaint about this exchange platform here on BTT and I think it is high time people stop patronizing the exchange platform because it will take not so long before the exchange platform finally go away if they continue stealing peoples funds. There are many good exchange platforms and I do not think it is sensible for anyone to trade on such platform except you want to dump a project token that you do not intend to hold
1085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What exactly does a good project needs. on: March 09, 2020, 06:18:18 AM
To answer your last question, I do not think those projects can bring out great ROI for the investors. Almost 99% of the token that is being traded today is far less than the price during ICO and IEO with no hope of reaching back the peak. Just as you have said, many of them have no working products which means the demand for the token will continue to decrease until the project become dead. This is exactly what is happening to many of today's project
1086  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will Ethereum be taking 1st place in 2020? on: March 09, 2020, 06:13:33 AM
I would have loved to see ethereum bullish due to the fact that the coin is one of the crypto that is heavily utilized coupled with the fact that thousands of smart contract has been created on it but this usefulness seems not to reflect in the price because ETH price is invariably constant. I believe may be due to the fact that most of these tokens that turn out to be shit also affect the ETH price as a whole
1087  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Ethereum going back to under 200$? on: March 09, 2020, 06:08:55 AM
Anything is possible in crypto. It is pure demand and supply. If bitcoin price can go as low as 6k then what stops ETH to going back below 200. In fact the current price is just a little above 200 and all this happen in less than 24 hours ago. This is an indication that anything is still possible. the same thing apply to other crypto as well. EOS dropped from $3.85 to $3.10. This is a new week so I believe trading volume will increase compared to what it was during the weekend
1088  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Crypto Bad Exchanges on: March 08, 2020, 08:13:26 PM
The most annoying part about these crypto exchanges is their ranks on rating websites e.g coinmarketcap, I wonder how this website get so blind and over look the fake volumes and watch trades, they need to be exposed
This is the reason why dev have been advised to not limit their research about exchange platforms to CMC alone but also on platforms like the BTT. there are many resourceful information about the exchange platforms and I have read ones that there are many other rating platforms that are more efficient in rating exchange platforms with more robust data than cmc but they are less popular. coingecko is one of them.
1089  Economy / Economics / Re: How can we get people to use bitcoin as a currency? on: March 08, 2020, 07:54:42 PM
Local merchants can start accepting crypto as a payment processor. Although there are countless of shopping sites that accept bitcoin and by using bitcoin to buy the gift card on platforms such as bitpay, individual can now pay for their purchase on amazon and even buy flight tickets such as delta air ticket. I believe the high volatility of the coin is what is standing as hindrance to the acceptance
1090  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Solution for bounty payments on: March 08, 2020, 10:34:26 AM
Your method is good but it also depend on trust. There is this project called asobi that has concluded token sales more than a year ago. They adopted the same method of sending token to the participants every week. Initial things were fine. Although nobody knows the campaign the distribution. Start from but people that were to receive smallest token received first but later things went sour and many people did not receive token especially those that participated in article campaign.
1091  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DAMMIT, I missed another profit opportunity!!! on: March 08, 2020, 09:07:36 AM
The best thing you can do now is to wait until the price goes above your buying price and take profit. This is the reason why we all say it is difficult to guess what the price of crypto will be like. Any slight news can have great impact on the price of the coin. The same thing happened to me few weeks ago. Now when I take profit, I convert back to usdt and wait for the price to fall and buy back and chill again for a while .
1092  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Enough of bounty scam, you can help to stop it too. on: March 08, 2020, 08:59:13 AM
Major reason why many of these dev keep on posting bounty campaign is that they see it as a cheap way of promoting their projects. If not, they would have gone for other possible means. I have no believe on any ICO again and I lost interest in bounty campaign long time ago. Even some renowned. Bounty manager like sylon have stopped managing bounty just not to tarnish their image. It is no longer news that ICO and IEO are no more profitable and it doesn't worth investing on.
1093  Economy / Economics / Re: is it possible that the bitcoin was created by governments? on: March 08, 2020, 07:28:47 AM
I know it is because of the misery surrounding  satoshi that is making people to have doubt on the history of bitcoin. I don't think it is government that create bitcoin because if it is so, their through identity must have been revealed long time ago and probably the consensus surrounding the development would have make them to think of adjustment and probably makes the bitcoin more accepted.
1094  Other / Archival / Re: Is KYC benefit to crypto people or not on: March 07, 2020, 09:06:15 PM
I do not see any tangible benefit a trader receive for KYC but rather benefits the trading platform because it makes them to conform to the rules and AML of the country of origin. However, in most exchanges, this might be optional except you are the kind of traders that hold and transact huge amount of money in crypto daily.
1095  Economy / Economics / Re: Can corona virus or any other epidemic disease can collapse Banking? on: March 07, 2020, 09:01:04 PM
Collapse of banking is not likely to occur due to endemic disease. Although the market are always affected just like what is happening now but the effect on the banking may not cause the total collapse of the banking sectors. People will still transact and most importantly, bank play a key role in containing the epidemic because through it, materials are being purchased. Also some countries that depends seriously on others might suffer more.
1096  Economy / Economics / Re: I have Good news for bitcoiners on: March 06, 2020, 06:36:44 AM
300k  Grin. How much money do you think can influence the price of the bitcoin to the price you mentioned?  I know we will all be excited to see the bitcoin price goes up but I think we should be speculating about something holistic. 300k, for now, is not obtainable and I personally do not think that is achievable for now so it is better to concentrate more on what we should think it is possible, currently, BTC is hovering around 9k and if the halving should impact the price positively, maybe we should have another bull run this year.
1097  Economy / Economics / Re: Unfair aspects of KYC. But KYP is here on: March 06, 2020, 06:12:00 AM
I am just wondering what the customers will request as KYP. Probably some of the things they have provided on the website or a kind of paper documentation and legal information. I understand quietly well in this evolving crypto space that providers are becoming smarter and this is the reason why many of them will tell you they are registered in one country on an island that is difficult to confirm on the internet. Just the way so many scam betting site will tell you they have their license from some shithole domicile
1098  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to learn bitcoin trading? on: March 05, 2020, 06:31:51 PM
I will advise you to do your research online and here on BTT because this place is full of resourceful material that can kick start your career as a trader. Firstly, I will advise you to go for exchange platforms that have a large number of traders and high daily volumes. I know you might have gone to CMC to check for exchange platforms but you need to be careful because of many of them fake trading volume. I will recommend Binance because that is where I trade. You can start by trading crypto such as BTC, EOS and ETH with USDT pairing. It is also good you familiarize yourself with the cryptograph
1099  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading vs. Investing. on: March 05, 2020, 06:26:05 PM
Trading is also investing but this time around you need to be very skillful and learn how to trade effectively. It is a very tedious exercise and it requires a lot of patience because you can as well lose your investment if you do not know how to read cryptograph and also know when to stop and wait for recess especially during the bear market. Buying bitcoin and keeping for a long period is the easiest thing to do and it does not require any special skills other than buying crypto and keep it save in your wallet for a long time and take profit when the price has increased
1100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bull and bear market. on: March 05, 2020, 06:19:50 PM
I will start by answering your last question. There is no way to know when the bull or bear market will start or stops. There have been many discussions regarding this. A lot of people believe this is always caused by the whales that hodl a large portion of crypto that is capable of influencing the market and this is the reason why people keep an eye and always report when they noticed that a large sum of money in bitcoin has been moved from a wallet to probably an exchange address. Bull market is where people seem to make more money compared to the bear market.
