2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: I might have found the first multi-chain app wallet on: November 04, 2022, 01:20:09 PM
If you're storing multiple coins, an extra investment is worth it IMO. Not to mention some of these apps are unsupported on older devices. Using your main phone might not be a good idea if security is your concern since even play store is not free from malware. Better be careful so you don't lose your money due to some mistakes.
where are these coming from today? I'm glad I opened this topic. Thanks, I will check these two wallets out, thanks again.
You can search on this forum, usually, a new wallet app will post an ANN. Other sources are from social media like Reddit, or articles. At least that's how I learn about new apps.
2002  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Connecting metamask to nano s on: November 03, 2022, 10:27:45 AM
If extra security is what you're looking for, then you should stop connecting your hardware wallet to MetaMask. Use a separate wallet to manage your funds and keep your HW offline. As for your question, as mentioned above it only expose your public key. No security issue but your privacy might be at risk. Assuming you want to manage altcoins, maybe look for a privacy-focused wallet app if privacy is an issue for you.
2003  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Where is my BTC from 2010? Help on: November 03, 2022, 10:11:05 AM
If you never wipe/format the disk then what has been suggested above should work. If not, try a data recovery app and look for the file. If it fails to recognize any or if the data has been corrupted then the chance of recovering your coins is low. Are you sure you don't keep a backup somewhere?
2004  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Im looking For good signals channels on: November 02, 2022, 10:47:59 AM
Try to look on Reddit then. Or Twitter. Lots of users (or maybe bots) are posting their signals there. As far as I'm aware nobody in this forum is that keen on a signal group, even if they use it they probably don't want to shill directly since their reputation might be affected if things go wrong.

My experience with them is not good either. Most of their calls never give me a profit and they'll protect their ass by saying things like "you are too slow on your trades" etc.
2005  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Water Cooler GPU, OMG. on: November 01, 2022, 10:50:06 AM
Hoo ternyata begitu.
2006  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Risk management: how to factor deal frequency and duration? on: October 31, 2022, 01:32:05 PM
I never found any calculation that answers your question. So I guess it depends on how comfortable you are. Longer trading duration means more factors to consider IMO, such as market sentiment, project updates etc. Short-term trading means price fluctuation is more predictable but your profit can get eaten by fees quickly if you're not trading on a good platform. I'd say if the market sentiment is generally predictable over the next few months or so, maybe the 2 days/2 deal strategy is better. But as always, don't put your egg in one basket. Maybe run both strategies with more allocation on the short-term period for consistent profit, while the long-term period for high risk and high return position (not assuming leverage).
2007  Local / Mining (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: Water Cooler GPU, OMG. on: October 30, 2022, 10:24:34 AM
mahall bang, tapi kalau sangat efektif dan efisienn dibanding udara, worthy lahh.
Mungkin agan mengasumsikan efisiensi ini buat gaming doang ya? Kalau buat mining ane belum pernah lihat miner modif GPUnya jadi liquid cooled. Farm yang kemaren berhenti mining dan pada jual GPU juga ane lihat rata" air cooled (coba lihat di Twitter banyak yang share miner yang bangkrut terus jual GPU).
2008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange platform with lowest fees on: October 29, 2022, 11:38:13 AM
I've been hearing about Binance and other exchanges blocking funds from gambling business, don't know how reliable that is but I guess you can also look for P2P option. Maybe just liquidate your coins quarterly or something like that to save some fees.
2009  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Chip Mixer Problems on: October 28, 2022, 02:13:59 PM
I contacted support and they are saying its not their wallet and that there is nothing they can do (even if I got the wallet address from their site).
Where do you contact the support? On the forum, or from the website you visited? Sounds like you access another phishing website if the support is telling the truth. As far as I'm aware Chipmixer is still doing fine without scamming anyone. Try to ask on their ann thread.
2010  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Effective strategy to get crypto news. on: October 27, 2022, 10:52:04 AM
I use a news aggregator in the past but it has been closed down. Other alternatives are Twitter from journalists or TG channels of news websites.

I think your program can be useful, as long as it is not a paid service since most of the time people would rather stick to channels or social media. If you're planning to monetize it, maybe ads or patreon would be more than enough. It is not going to give you a lot of money for sure, but for a passive income, it should be okay. That being said, build it for your own purpose first.
2011  Other / Archival / Re: Most investors think regulation is a good thing on: October 26, 2022, 03:37:02 PM
I think it is inevitable that trading BTC on a platform will always require some regulation. A business needs some control and unfortunately, most of the time government (even if they are unreliable) is the only one who can do that. The best thing to do if you're not a fan of it is to do P2P trades. The network is gonna be fine regardless of what happen on the regulation side imo.
2012  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Bitcoin And Ethereum Strategy In 2022 on: October 25, 2022, 02:20:35 PM
A sideway movement is an excellent thing if you're doing leverage, as long as you don't put too many funds into a position without proper risk management. If the pattern is consistent you can make a decent profit. Sadly not everyone has the patience or self-control for that.

A bear market is not uncommon, just DCA as mentioned above if you still believe in the market and has no funds or time to trade weekly/daily.
2013  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Japan to allow exchanges list coins under lessen rules on: October 24, 2022, 12:22:14 PM
This is not a good news, it's better if they're cancel this proposal and continue to screen a coin before the exchanges list it. It would be better if they're do screening based on the use case of the coins, not from the marketcap only.
I mean the exchange itself will still pick which coin they are listing. If they don't do it and list scam coins I bet their reputation will go bad asap. They don't want to kill their own business, do they? While regulation is lessening, doesn't mean they don't need to protect their reputation if profit is their goal.
2014  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Leverage investment strategy during bull market on: October 24, 2022, 11:40:41 AM
Wow leverage trading in cryptocurrency and also storing in exchanges that's too way risky.
I think 'storing' in this case refers to how your fund is locked since you're opening a position. I don't think that's unavoidable unless you use a dex, but the volume would then be an issue. IMO just keep this in mind and avoid opening a very long time-locked position if you can.
2015  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Removing Ledger Live On Older Laptop? on: October 23, 2022, 12:05:26 PM
I find it's weird they make separate uninstaller rather than including it on the installer.
Just a wild guess but probably to make it harder for newbie users to fully uninstall it for whatever reason. Then again some software definitely needs a separate full uninstaller like ddu.

OP, if you still plan on using your last pc you can also lock your account and add a new one for another user. A guest account or something like that.
2016  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading with insurance new service its revolution for traders on: October 22, 2022, 11:43:38 AM
It is kind of a stretch to compare such services to yours. The field is different, the target is different, the nature of agreement and risk are different, etc. On top of that, your last sentences sound like you're trying to build a PnD group instead.

If you're serious about running a business, there are other models of business that are less shady and proven to work as long as you do it seriously.
2017  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: "Gareth Soloway: BTC to 3,5k possible" How likely is that? on: October 21, 2022, 12:35:11 PM
It is not impossible, I mean we went from 19k back to 3k last bull run, so I won't be surprised if a harsher pullback happens. I think fud around exchanges or hacks is likely to be the cause instead of stocks and recession though, who knows? Just be prepared for anything. Plan your trade carefully with stop loss and stuff like that just in case.
2018  Local / Altcoins (Bahasa Indonesia) / Re: [Q&A][TIPS] Seputar Bounty/Airdrop Di Sini on: October 20, 2022, 08:17:47 PM

2019  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Another one bites the dust: Nuri (formerly Bitwala) on: October 20, 2022, 02:49:49 PM
So many businesses go bankrupt in the bear market. I wonder if it's because the market itself is too small for small-medium players or if they just don't have a good plan to keep going on. At the same time, one or two projects that I followed since 2017 is still going strong even if their token doesn't do that well on the market. Hopefully, they don't go the same way.
2020  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: High Mem Temp on my RTX 3070ti on: October 18, 2022, 03:33:56 PM
have any 3070ti with out this problem or all brand have same high mem temp
Are you asking if anyone is having the same problem or not? I can't say for sure, but most reviews that I've watched say that the mem temp on recent GPUs is quite high even for regular gaming. If you're using it for mining, just replace the pad or do some modification as mentioned above if you're not comfortable with the temp (as long as you don't mind breaking the warranty).
