2001  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Knowing projects before launch on: June 24, 2022, 01:57:39 AM
What platforms or websites do you use to track projects before your ICO?
Well, I don't get into ICOs these days as they've been not that popular anymore for the past 4 years. But if you're still into it, just to the Announcements (Altcoins) and Tokens (Altcoins).

And what criteria do you use to invest in them?
No criteria anymore as I don't invest on them anymore. Do people still invests on them? maybe a very few that still think that there's huge money on it but not anymore for the past years.

That's going to be a long haul for Puppey and his teammates to meet enough DPC points for the upcoming TI. I think that they'll still be able to meet it and get there.
Their only way to qualify through points is to get at least the top 4 in the Tour and win the major since they'd need around a thousand points given that half of the top 12 in the DPC rankings already have a thousand points. Tbh it seems unlikely and they'd probably have a better shot at qualifying through the regional qualifiers.
Yes, if they can't meet the DPC points requirement.

They really have to go through the hardest way and that's through the regionals. I also see that there are two slots for the "last chance qualifiers".

So I'm guessing that all teams that are qualified for that regional qualifiers will have all of their last chance. I think those will be the teams that would be 2nd place for the qualifiers and they'll get to fight for the two slots for the TI.
2003  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Which cold wallet to buy? on: June 23, 2022, 02:59:32 PM
I have just been looking at the different ledgers available.

They range from £55 to £155. - are the cheaper ones good or is it better to spend more on the expensive ones? This is something I plan to have for a long time after all.

I would like something that is easy to transfer my crypto to and from exchanges with less hassle as possible.
The Ledger S still works perfectly for me. Read on the subreddit of Ledger for you to have an idea of what current problems have the more expensive ones which is the Ledger X: https://www.reddit.com/r/ledgerwallet/

The subreddit: /r/ledger is the older version and there's a pinned post there that everyone should go to the /r/ledgerwallet.

And while you're thinking of what you must buy, move your assets out of the exchanges as soon as possible. You'll never know when those exchanges will do an unexpected halting of withdrawals and transactions. That's a thing today in the news if you're following it.
2004  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: DCA £5 PER DAY - WHICH CRYPTO? on: June 23, 2022, 12:50:14 PM
I want to do this for the next 2 years and was at first going to go with Bitcoin however the profits will be a lot larger If I go with a riskier Altcoin, just not sure which one to go with.
How can you be sure about this?

You saw the volatility is more with altcoins and I think that you're optimistic about it. There's nothing with that if you think you'll make more with altcoins because, with this bull run, too many of them have pumped.

But just look right now at how low most of them are and thanks to bitcoin. They're all affected with bitcoin's drop and that's why if you think that you'll be getting more profit with riskier altcoins, think about it again.
2005  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How safe are crypto wallets?? on: June 22, 2022, 07:55:23 AM
One additional layer of security is the 2FA. Whether be it on exchanges or in your wallets, they're a good addition and will give the hackers hard time accessing your funds.

But just as what they suggest, you're the sole holder of your funds if you alone are the one who's holding the keys. That's the most important matter that you have to think of.

As they suggest, HWs are one of the best choice that you can have as your wallet and where you must keep your funds.

I'm also on the Tundra handicap @1.88, the over seems okay too but I remember tomahawk9 mentioned that most of the series so far have been 2-0 sweeps so i'd rather rely on a Tundra sweep plus Team Secret haven't shown anything promising so far.

https://sportsbet.io/sharebetslip/1f036508-d788-4fdd-9717-106dfd6fc36e
The first game is on Tundra.

That techies of Zayac was out of tune or it's just that they've been out drafted and nine was too good with that winter wyvern. What a game for the 1st match, chaos knight and alchemist that are too damn fat.

Watching the 2nd game and Tundra is in the lead. 24 minutes on the game and the score kill is 18-9 in favor of Tundra.
Somehow, they managed to botch that game and took it down to game 3, where they stomped Secret 37-12.  Secret seems to have lost their edge these days. They dont look like a TI contender team anymore. Can Puppy somehow mastermind the team for another TI success? I personally doubt it but will be pleasantly surprised if they can.
Still, Team Secret lost the series. It's a 2-1 in favor of Tundra.

The roster of Team Secret now isn't complete and Yapzor has been subbed by Zayac and I don't know the reason why Yapzor isn't there. Talking about the TI, they still need to accumulate a lot of DPC points. The team stands currently in the top 27 while the top 12 shall be in and eligible for the TI.

That's going to be a long haul for Puppey and his teammates to meet enough DPC points for the upcoming TI. I think that they'll still be able to meet it and get there.

2008  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: My First Investments on: June 21, 2022, 02:07:44 PM
I am a newbie and would like to invest $1000 to start. I have read that I should put 40 percent into bitcoin and diversify the other 60 percent. I need opinions, advice, and anything from those with experience of positive value. Smiley
Where have you read that? Honestly, what's the most recommended for a newbie is don't invest at all if you don't know yet what's the best investment that you must have. And whoever said that you must diversify more with altcoins, might don't have a lot of bitcoins.

But if you're going to listen to the majority here, we'll tell you that you must have a bitcoin portfolio first since you're still a newbie. Learn from it and eventually, you'll get to explore the altcoins because not all of them are profitable.

Can you just imagine of putting $600 there without you knowing where you'll invest there?
2009  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Shiba Inu Could Reach $5 By 2050 !!!??? on: June 21, 2022, 12:01:15 PM
TL;DR

2050 will be the year that we don't know what the cryptos are still standing and existing by that time. Let's say and get into the minds of that imagination that Shiba will reach $5.

But will this crypto still exist by that year? That's even a bigger question that we need to ask before asking if it's possible for Shiba to reach that price.
2010  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 20, 2022, 09:56:57 PM
I guess some decentralized casinos won't really ask you for that and that's what you need to look for. But if it's managed and owned then it's not guaranteed that they're decentralized and still, you'll be asked for kyc if they have to.
I have heard about decentralized gambling sites before but that has just been in theory and not in real life, or am I missing something? Can you name any decentralized gambling site that you have ever known of? Before I joined this forum, I played on betting sites like bet365 and some others but which are all centralized. Also after I joined this forum and I tried some gambling sites, they are also all centralized, but though using cryptocurrencies as a payment means.

Decentralized casino would work in a way that every money used to stake will be directly deducted from your noncustododial wallet, have you seen any gambling site like that before? I doubt that.
IIRC, edgeless and earnbet were the known ones before but I don't know where they are right now and if they have sticked to that status of being decentralized.

And to tell about decentralized as a description for a casino. If you go and search for it, they'll show you the centralized ones. I guess these reviewers have already that knowledge that when people tell decentralized then it means to them that it's about blockchain.

There's that misunderstanding on that part and that's why some articles won't be helpful enough if someone really tries to find one these days. And I think that's also the same as before that when we believe that a casino was decentralized, it's all just about the description but not the actual.
2011  Economy / Gambling / Re: GXGBet.com | GXGCoin.io - Leading DeFi Gaming Site Needs You 😎 on: June 20, 2022, 08:55:41 PM
Seems that a lot are having trouble checking this site because of restrictions. But can the team remove such restrictions in some countries, because I believe they got a lot in the list? Whereas, there are other casinos here that do have curacao license and yet they are accepting the players. Most of them just set the max deposit or withdrawal to $2000. Because if there are a lot of countries prohibited, then, I believe that's one factor that may limit their opportunities to get new players.
I've also tried to access the website and I've used tor but games didn't loaded. I just saw a glance of the design and there's this goldish design for their name.

I don't think that they can remove those restricted countries if they're following a rule from where they operate. It's part of the regulation that they are obeying but I don't know.

Maybe they really can and it's not a problem to them as it will stop them getting more customers from that particular region where they restricted users coming from.
2012  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Critic Peter Schiff Says There Are No Signs of Bear Market Bottom Now on: June 20, 2022, 07:49:35 PM
Now he's analyzing bitcoin even if he's not really into it? What's the twist on this one? He should just stay on his calls with gold and never compare bitcoin if he's not really into it.

This guy has been telling his all negatives that he can to bitcoin ever since.

One of the critics of bitcoin and he'll never stop discussing it because he knows that we bitcoin folks are likely to have to convey conversion with his words and that's a free advertisement for him.
2013  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 20, 2022, 12:24:42 PM
I agree with all you've said. Money management is important for someone who earns whether it's big or small. Honestly, it's not all about how big you earn rather, how much you could save.

You're on the right path and that's the correct process that you're taking. It's not an overnight success in earning through crypto and as well as learning from the mistakes that you've made.

Every amount you earn, you have to give importance on it and that's going to make you wiser on how you spend it.
2014  Economy / Gambling / Re: risk of kyc on crypto casinos ? on: June 19, 2022, 11:07:49 PM
You don't need to pay for someone just to tell you that every casino will do that based on the terms and agreement that you've signed up for.

I guess some decentralized casinos won't really ask you for that and that's what you need to look for. But if it's managed and owned then it's not guaranteed that they're decentralized and still, you'll be asked for kyc if they have to.

And that's based on the circumstance that you'll face depending on your results and usually if you're getting big wins then you have no other option to be verified and asked.
2015  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Looking to buy my first hardware wallet on: June 19, 2022, 10:07:30 PM
All of those are supported by Ledger: Ledger supported coins and tokens.

Speaking about my experience, they've shipped it to my address when I've purchased it years ago and IIRC, I've paid directly to the manufacturer.

Well, a clue about their latest version of the X, it has the most bugs but if you want the older type which is the S version and I think many of us here owns that version and it is still running like brand new since it's being kept at all times.
2016  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was 17600$ was the bottom ? on: June 19, 2022, 09:08:24 PM
It's back to $20k and this is the weekend, usually this is where the dump happens in the past but now, it is what people have seen as a great time to accumulate because for the past weeks bitcoin has been dumping.

We still don't know if that was the bottom but hopefully it was. Or this could also be a trap and it can be worsen and be quick again in dumping. If it continuous to recover up to $25k, then that can be a confirmation we're already out of the bottom.
2017  Economy / Gambling / Re: I can beat bet365, but cant find good seller. Increese your acc 50/50 profit!!! on: June 18, 2022, 09:11:22 PM
Have your own account and why it has to be someone else's account for you to gamble? You just can't do that and tell them that you'll split the money in 50/50. And who's money you're going to gamble? The owner's as well?

Come on, no one will trust you on this one and if you want to gamble. Just take yourself accountable for your own action and just use your own resources and account so that you're good as what you want to be and you'll solely have the money 100% if you win and if you lose, you don't have to blame anyone.
2018  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do not panic. Everything will get better on: June 18, 2022, 08:08:49 PM
I've been there before and did really panicked and it's no use. Everyone who's feeling a panic attack should do panic in buying instead of selling and worrying about the market situation.

I know that it's hard to accept and deal with it but this is the market. The volatility that we've got is really disappointing probably for the new ones but this is also the reason why bitcoin went high.

You only need to be patient and don't sell at losses or if you want to cut losses, I think it's too late so just hold or buy.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon Musk sued for 258 billion USD over alleged Dogecoin pyramid scheme. on: June 18, 2022, 09:14:50 AM
So that person sued him out of his losses by holding and buying Dogecoin. He should have known at the beginning that Dogecoin is just a meme coin and there's no actual future on it and Elon is just being him having fun with his tweets.

This is the reason that you shouldn't rely your investing decisions to the influencers that we have in the web. You only make decisions based on what you know and what you understand so that you won't get up to the point that you'll sue that person you think was once a hero to you.
2020  Economy / Gambling / Re: Poker has over 1.3 Billion players globally, What about a poker gamefi?? on: June 17, 2022, 09:44:52 PM
Thanks for the reminder, will be careful in the future.
Include the necessary links at your first post, edit and put the links there.

You are suggesting this at the wrong time op. The entire market is sinking like crazy and most play to earn crypto games are screwed due to their respective token prices falling drastically in value.
I agree, it's not the best time to have that idea since the market is tanking and you look at the other p2e games and you'll see them down like 99% of their total value from their ATH.

Also, I don't think that there's any need for poker to have it as gamefi. It's good as the normal poker game that we have right now, whether it's on fiat poker tables and online and as well as with crypto.
