2002  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: www.CryptoBackersList.com - Help me make this website successful on: February 22, 2018, 07:41:40 AM
Where is the list ? It's a simple website. Investors are going but themselves or you are listing them ?

The website is in development. The Domain is parked at an empty Wordpress site for the moment.
The access to the list would be based on a paid subscription.

Initially, the investors would be added by me manually. After it's established anyone that wants to stay on the list can stay or choose to disable incoming pitches or choose to opt out of the list completely. Getting enlisted will always be free but every investor would have to go through a vetting process to ensure that they are capitalists. Not just a random Tom.

The purpose of this post is to gather feedback from the community on what features they'd like to see in the site and so on.

2005  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How to be a Bounty Manager? Any tips? on: February 21, 2018, 03:29:05 PM
Hey everyone. I just wanna ask some tips on to be or what actually a bounty manager do?

The mark of a good manager, regardless of what field he is in lies in his ability to come up with ideas quickly and efficiently translate his ideas into meaningful sentences that make complete grammatical sense. In other words, you need an impeccable control over the key languages that you speak so you can first understand what each project asks from you and then effectively communicate that with the workers under you.
If you are going to manage a campaign that deals with the Chinese community, then your command over Chinese languages like Mandarin, Shanghainese, Hakka, Tibeto-Burman etc should be unquestionable.

This is the main job of any manager. Effectively communicate the organisation's goal from upstairs to all the people at ground-level.

By the looks of it, you do not have a good command over English, which is a prerequisite for any Crypto-Campaign-Manager.

Can you tell us how it works ortips to be an effective Bounty Manager?

I wouldn't want to. Essentially if I did so, it would be equivalent to training my own competition. But I will give you certain general tips that are more or less based on common sense.

> Make a list of what YOU can bring to the table that others cannot.
> Ask yourself if you are a good negotiator. You need to be able to convince people of what you want them to do despite them not wanting to.
> Ask yourself if you are a patient listener, so you can understand what the project owners are asking of you.
> Last but not least, you need to be an organised person. After all your organisational skills is what would actually land you a 'manager' job.

PS: You also need to be able to give an eloquent explanation about something without ever explaining it at all.
2006  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: 💥[ANN] [ICO] - 🔵GIF token by SOCIFI - SPONSORED DATA Ecosystem/Marketplace💥 on: February 20, 2018, 10:10:15 PM
did you have softcap of this TGE, what happend if the SoftCap is not reached

Then that would be a failed ICO. But since this is an established company we're talking about. Failing is not an option for them. And with such big names involved, I doubt it that they'd have any issues reaching the softcap.

You should be asking, what are they going to do if they reach soft cap and not the hardcap. How would they fund their purchases then? What compromises would be made?

2007  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for Commission based ICO Promoter on: February 20, 2018, 10:00:32 PM
Hello,
As the title says, I am looking for an ICO promoter who has a network of investors that they can reach out to.
Offering commission+coins as compensation.

What do you think of this idea then ? https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2977727.0
What if I said I already have a list of serious angel investors eager to get into crypto. Numbering in hundreds. What would access to such a list be worth to you?
2008  Local / India / Re: Questions About Indian Crypto Exchanges: Indx & BitBns on: February 20, 2018, 03:45:56 PM
...we saw a sample in which Income Tax department was asking for all the details regarding when you bought bitcoin, from which exchange and much more. Maybe, it was fake but ....

I also saw the letter where gov had asked these details, but I don't know if it was fake or real. Do you have any further info suggesting it was fake (or real)? I'd just like to know more if possible.

I can confirm it was real. And it was aptly dealt with by the so called traders. Most have claimed all the "capital gains" were hacked. Which is true in my case, partially. I lost most in hacks and the rest cuz of stupidity and what remained were used to pay off debts.
2009  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: Does anyone knows where to buy btc using paypal funds on: February 20, 2018, 03:08:15 PM
I have paypal funds. I want to invest on btc and altcoins. my big problem is that some exchanger from usd to btc got high conversion compare to the current price of btc. does anyone knows where I can purchase btc at low conversion rate?

You can try : localbitcoins, localethereum and Virwox. You can also use Coinmama.com to buy with your credit card.
However, you will not get low rates when looking to buy with Paypal due to the various payment gates and fees involved.

2012  Economy / Economics / Re: Line vs Telegram vs Amazon vs Sberbank - Next level of Crypto Adoption. on: February 20, 2018, 11:10:40 AM
Head of russian Sberbank Herman Gref said: "Cryptocurrencies have now become a part of everyday life, and the worst thing we could do is to prohibit or ignore them". He also bought some bitcoins and declared that in public. I have also seen he was speaking with Putin and adviced him to dont forbid cryptocurrencies because it may cause money outflow.
As you know russians try to mine bitcoin even by supercomputer in nuclear station, Herman also cought his employes mining bitcoin in Sberbank. However he said that he is not intresting in mining

That mining with Supercomputer was a one time thing done by a single guy with access to a nuclear facility ILLEGALLY.
I wonder however, if the Russians would rather setup mining facilities with the same budget as a Nuclear facility. THAT would be stupendous.
2013  Local / India / Dear Koinex team ... on: February 20, 2018, 08:29:06 AM
Dear Koinex team,

Since you have so aptly chosen to be inactive on facebook and have not answered my question there, here I am publicly asking you the same questions that I did there.

Firstly, I would like to know if you would be adding more tokens and cryptos to your platform. If so, is there an application form for new coin listing on your site?

Secondly, I do not have an Aadhaar number. I will not get it unless SC makes it mandatory. How can you force your customers to provide aadhaar if SC itself has made it clear that alternative ID can be used where aadhaar is not available. Why do you need to know which gas service I use for me to trade cryptos on your platform?
Why am I talking about gas service? Well, you can not only know that that, you can also find out if I have a health insurance FFS with aadhaar! Why being a private enterprise are you asking for these details?

I understand that this has become somewhat of a common practice since the introduction of aadhaar by our super duper intelligent government and Mr Modi. But is this not against the ideology of cryptocurrency as a whole?

Kindly let me know what is Koinex's stance on the whole issue.

~
Thanks
2014  Local / India / Re: Questions About Indian Crypto Exchanges: Indx & BitBns on: February 20, 2018, 06:14:21 AM
Bitbns is a really good exchange to trade some cryptocurrencies like Ripple. Just transfer them later into a better wallet.
Trade in Bitbns and transfer your coins to Coindelta. This is what I generally do. Works super fine.
I don't know about Indx, but Bitbns is a pretty cool exchange. Got my KYC verification done within a day. The exchange rates are almost equal as all other major exchanges. Not so sure about its wallet though. I bought some Ripples from Bitbns and transferred them to my Koinex account.

I get what you're doing but don't you think it will look a bit convincing it you'll slightly change the names of your newly-made account for promoting or in simple word spamming.

 Grin Grin Cheesy
Likely a single guy behind all these accounts. Not so sharp either. Could be someone old from the forum itself but then again how can they be this dumb? lol

As far as a KYC-less exchange goes. I wonder if an exchange operated purely at the crypto stage - say something like Binance or Shapeshift would they still need to be KYC compliant. Because then, no INR ⇄ Crypto exchange is taking place.
2015  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: !!! Suicide Watch !!! on: February 20, 2018, 05:34:56 AM
I think that's a very insensitive approach towards a very touchy subject.

I think that committing suicide because you were dumb enough to trust in the magical creation of "money for nothing" is immature enough to rectify replies like thenachoguy's.

So you have NEVER made any dumb decisions in your life? If you think making dumb decisions makes it okay if you kill yourself What kind of insenstive cahoot are you?
2016  Economy / Services / Re: Docademic - Evolving Healthcare Signature Campaign. 30 Slots. Upto 0.01btc FULL on: February 20, 2018, 05:20:46 AM

There a major evidence that we are receiving a botnet from email or script in HTML I've read somewhere, that script will run in the background especially if you bought something online, also I highly believe that it is possible as I practice Javascript and Python it could work out if a black-hat-hacker gets their hand in our Laptop/Desktop, it is a different story if you are using the an Android/IOS phone it requires a different kind of script.

So yeah every address is vulnerable as long as we are using it online, they just only need a manipulating script to work everything out.

Could you point a link those pieces of evidence? Also, according to you. How does an avg. guy protect himself from these botnets?
2017  Local / India / Re: ICICI Bank closing accounts involved in bitcoin trading? on: February 19, 2018, 01:49:06 PM
i am also feeling sad about this news. first this will happen in kotak again in ICICI Bank. so what will happen in the next step. i have doing transactions with ICICI Bank itself.

Did you miss the part where we've been saying that this is nothing new? Or did you even read the responses at all?
2018  Local / India / Re: ICICI Bank closing accounts involved in bitcoin trading? on: February 19, 2018, 12:12:30 PM
B2 is useless piece of crap. You can only transfer 25k INR through it.
Edit: it's not available anymore for new customers.

Which is what makes it the absolute best type of account for newbie traders. I personally never encountered the cap because I never let my individual transaction volume exceed 20k.

PS: You can get new B2 accounts by filling out the form in the branch. The city has to support b2 banking though.
2019  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Problem] I can't connect more than 2 card ( Code 43 ) on: February 19, 2018, 11:40:27 AM
Get 8 gigs total. Connect the cards first. Make sure wake on lan is enabled in Bios. Update to the most latest (stable) driver available. Uninstall the card from your computer hardware management tab. Make sure you uninstall the driver as well as the hardware. Then redetect your hardware and do the autoinstall.

Should fix it.
