2021  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] dstm's ZCash / Equihash Nvidia Miner v0.6 (Linux / Windows) on: March 14, 2018, 08:39:56 AM
Hi,

Since cards are running on 70C should I adjust fans to be not on AUTO? I am afraid if fans are not on auto they will short lifetime?

Any suggestions or 70C should be considered a safety temp?

Regards,
Hristo
Are you on an Nvidia 10xx card? 70c is fine in theory, but personally I'm trying to keep them at 60-65C.

Is there a code to restrict mining use to one GPU instead of both if I have 2 x GPUs?

Also, running 2 x 1080 GPUs and getting about 480-500 sol/s per GPU, is that right?
Regarding the GPU restriction, yes there is, I think it's -d. For example "-d 0" will run the miner on the 1st GPU. "-d 12" will run on the 2nd and 3rd GPU.

2023  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: ARK - Blockchains Interoperability with SmartBridge 🔹 ARK on Binance 🔹 on: March 13, 2018, 02:32:00 PM
I have a question.
I have a ark wallet that in voting, and then if i add ark coin in my in voting wallet , this additional ark coin is automatically voting?? Huh

Yes. The amount of ARK you're voting automatically adjusts when you remove or add ARK to that wallet.

And the amazing thing with this is that your forged coins (forged coins = gained through voting) will also count toward your next forging. So if you choose a delegate who pays daily (like ArkLand), the amount you get will increase every day. Ofcourse that's only important if you have a lot of ARK, otherwise the difference is small and unnoticeable.

Best regards,
Mr. Obvious
2024  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] QBIC [QBIC] - Masternodes, PoW, Secure, ASIC Resistance on: March 13, 2018, 02:04:23 PM
How comes the market cap increased from 222.500 to 1.000.000 in an instant even though the price fell? (https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/qbic/)
Since MARKET CAP = PRICE x SUPPLY, the obvious answer is that extra supply was generated, but how? Out of thin air?

It's a legitimate question... the answer is that the statistics on CMC had not been updating, so the total supply and the circulating supply were not accurate. We partnered with CMC to resolve the discrepancy, and they made the change a day or so ago. We hope that this time around it updates as coins are generated organically.

Thanks for inquiring vs. spreading FUD. Smiley Very much appreciated, friend
Also thank you for your reply. Now if you don't mind me, I'd like to ask one more thing.

I was an early adopter of QBIC, I started mining it and holding it while also sponsoring the signature. However after 2 or 3 weeks with no signature payment and little communication from the dev team with bad engrish, I decide to sell at 10€ (lucky me!). Also this: https://altmix.org/coins/42-QBIC/explorer/address/GMcez4BAxUbFYTAyesVQccVXzJpxWH9skJ seemed a bit fishy to me but maybe I don't understand something right.

Because of all of the above I've stopped following the project and this thread, but you seem to be someone new to the team? I also noticed talks about a new roadmap. Since the main thread is not updated I don't know where else to look for updates, can you please brief me in what's changed since ~3 weeks ago?

DROP SOME MERIT PLS...OR GIVE A WAY TO INCREASE THEM.

With that kind of post you more likely dont receive any merit. Try to keep making quality, constructive posts and you will surely be rewarded over time.

Like this has helped me! Lips sealed
I have 228 posts, about 60%-70% of them are constructive, the rest are just chit-chat like this post, still 2 merits one of which was more like a gift to be honest and not deserved.

PS: Ofcourse I do aggree with you though, I'm just humoring the fact that it's veeeery slow to obtain merit even with constructive posts.

For some reason, when I set over 9 intensity it's crashing. From what I've read in this thread, people trying to run over 9 cards have a problem too. So what I understand it that any 2-digit numbers is causing a crush.
Was an answer provided and I missed it? Huh

For what GPU type are you trying to change intensity? You don't need to change it for GTX 1070 as it's already fine tuned and you can't randomly change it because algo optimized for certain value. Also, 9 is very low value, why do you specify it? Lowest default intensity for slowest card (GT 1030 and alike) is 15.

2-digit numbers doesn't cause crash. It was bug in original hsrminer and I've already fixed it:

  • Fixed bug of original hsrminer - now you can use GPU's numbers > 9 with -d option, i.e.  -d 10,11,12
Hello. I'll do some more testing and let you know but this will be tomorrow.
For now I just wanted to thank you for the reply and let you know what are my intentions with "intensity".

I'm using the NemosMiner which includes your miner inside, but since this Nemos is an algo-auto-switching miner, I'm forced to keep one overclock setting for every algo. I found that your miner is the only one that's pushing my 1080ti to 70 degrees, something that I don't feel comfortable with. I'm using the EVGA 1080ti FTW3 and I noticed that one of the "POWER" temp sensors is peaking high while the rest 8 sensors (including GPU & RAM) is top 63.
I also have a 1070 and 1070ti on my rig but those have fine temps. So what I tried was to include an argument in the Nemos's files that will launch your HSRM at reduced intensity for the 1080ti. I tried starting from 8 and going up 1 point at a time and when I reach 10, HSRM opens and closes in an instant. I know I've put the intensity argument correctly since at intensity 8 the hashrate and temps were veeeeery low! What I'm hoping for is a slight decrease in the intensity, like 1 point max.
2029  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: March 11, 2018, 10:40:41 PM
what would you pick.

a 1080 card, or a 1080ti card (price is excactly 20% more for the ti).

As far as I know, for mining purposes the ti is doing much better than 1080 non-ti. I think 1080 had some problem with the architecture of the memory that were improved on the ti version? Something like that.

What pools are you guys using? I was on Altminer but since they decided to close, I had to try some others.
I tried unimining but it only found 2 blocks in 10 hours... also it seemed like they "steal" with higher fees than what they say. My unconfirmed balance of the last block was higher at start, but after being confirmed it was reduced by 10%. I don't think this is normal but I might be wrong.

I also tried BSOD but they're also finding blocks very rarely and so far my earnings with them are not in accordance to my calculations.

Any other ideas guys?
Zpool. Yiimp. Cryptopool.xyz and the others in the 1st page.

As for Zpool, I can only see them with Zcash support, am I in the wrong site or have they removed Neoscrypt?

Refunded my XRP yesterday. They might have not been the fastest team but they're proven to be trustworthy. Maybe in the future if the team gets bigger they'll also get faster but that comes second after the quality of work and the sincerity.
By the way as a reminder, if you paid on XRP and you're missing 20 XRP from the refund, that's normal. The Ripple wallets are locking 20 XRP as "wallet activation"

2) Are you making enough posts: The number of posts you made so far are also very less. The more posts you make, more are the chances of getting noticed.

That is terrible advice. Spend 10x more time reading and learning from the forum than you do posting. That way you stand a chance to gain some knowledge and then make a valuable contribution when you do post. Over-posting just to increase activity was the very problem the merit system was brought in to solve. Making more posts if you have nothing to add to the conversation will certainly get you noticed, but only as a spammer.

But since people believe more posts will increase their chance on getting merrited, isn't this proof that this system is not working? I believe it is.
2036  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TOP 5 of tokens in 2018. Your opinion on: March 09, 2018, 11:41:12 AM
As we're launching our own token called TUT (you can see more info here: www.tutellus.io) and also in our bounty program here (http://2tel.us/2kSIYoV)

What FIVE tokens do you think will be the most valuable at the end of the year?
Let's go!

Many people did not know the difference between tokens and coins in cryptocurrency world and both are are being put to gather as one as you can see people list bitcoin and ethereum among tokens!  To me jebrenetwork,  buzzshow and siftcash the one I am wearing there signatures are going to be the best In  2018 according to my own view.

Yeah it's kinda sad that people don't pay attention before they post. Thanks to your post though, I'm sure that nobody else will post a "coin" in their "token" list!

I think that you should not spend a lot of money, but it's worth investing in 6 of the most promising crypto-currencies:

1.Bitcoin
2.Ethereum
3.Dash
4.ZCash
5.Monero
6.Ripple

I don't think the name "YIIMP" is supposed to be all over your site, is it?
In the front page you write "YiiMP is a pool management solution based on the Yii Framework."

I noticed that most people are using the ccminer from enemy-1.03 for RavenCoin (Info's Source: http://yiimp.eu/site/miners). However I can't find it available as open source and I'm afraid it might be doing something fishy on the background.
People are already comenting here http://cryptomining-blog.com/9507-ccminer-enemy-1-03-fork-for-raven-rvn-mining-now-available/ about suspicious activity.
TPRUVOT's ccminer is so buggy, it's always crushing even when KlausT's version keeps going with the same clocks. However KlausT hasn't add RVN support (at least yet).

So... Is there any stable and safe miner for Raven?

PS: TPRUVOT's ccminer hashrate is jumbing between 12 MH/s and 20 MH/s on 1080ti! WTH?! I reduced my clocks to try avoid crashes and I'm at 80% TDP, +70 GPU, +500 Memory. Let's see if it last more than 2 hours.
look here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2752467.msg31746393#msg31746393 There is a link to it.
Thanks! I've never heard of that developer though and I'm wondering if it's safe since it's not open source. Has anyone heard of the developer before? Also, has anyone here been using it his miner for 1080ti? Is there any significant change for our card?

GPU fan is controlled by GPU BIOS and depends on card's temperature, how much was fan RPM before paste change and after? It is possible that now fan rotate speed is lower with new paste and those 63c can be default value programmed in GPU BIOS.
No I disabled my custom curve and I manually set them before the paste change.

That's what I was running,
In what tempratures and fan speeds are you guys running at?

I have the EVGA 1080ti FTW3, stock cooler and paste (the paste is going to be changed later today!)

At the moment I'm mining XVG (Lyra2REv2) at 68.25 MH/s
Power 77%, Memory +0, GPU +85 (I don't understand how the GPU clock works, it's going between 1780 and 1900 MHz)
The tempratures are... GPU: 63°C, POWER: 57°C, Memory: 55°C
The fans are working at 75% (2500rpm)

Is this normal? Maybe I'm used to the super efficient 1070s (both ti and non-ti)? The 1070s were working at under 60°C, 75% power and 40% fan speed.
I'll get the Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut today and I'll report my stats after the change.
