@LaudaM you should have quoted this post:

Nice idea Smiley

1PnGfmiC6VwVbjeb5vAm6YB3rgBiu3HpmZ
1ETFbQLAhkTMcBFWALeZKVtx7mkGjRgPpE

Please quote my post Smiley

Mine was, is and will always be:

1BurtWEejbnKeBRsvcydJvsNztB1bXV5iQ

Where 1BurtW is the old firstbits protocol for the address.

lol, I can't get through.
2022  Other / Meta / Re: Stake your Bitcoin address here on: March 19, 2015, 01:00:27 PM

Discussion has taken over posting and quoting of addresses. None outstanding for me to quote.

So just posting mine : 15SSSmXELHg4szZNzW71oKmBrpqvq9kTHZ

Yours is quoted! I will start multiple quoting from now to reduce spam Smiley

You don't have to do that, if everyone checks when posting their address to see if there's a post which hasn't been quoted above them, they can quote that. If everyone followed that it would be like
1 gets quoted by 2
2 gets quoted by 3
3 gets quoted by 4
and so on..

How about Auction section? I think I read somewhere that it doesn't allow editing posts.

Mine: 1NDUXQuVVjcmmqDrdt4ZUyTkoXg8fjSZLV

I think we shouldn't quote each other since soon the quotes would be stacked, and that would look really messy.

Maybe add a rule you must only quote one person's address? That person has to be before you, of course.
Quoting this because I didn't see anyone quoting this.

And to answer your question, I think if someone else quotes someone who is already quoted that will add another layer of safety and it will be more difficult to edit the original post. see what I mean ?

1/4/2015 is taken. Choose another day.

This will happen a lot, to avoid this OP should add a list with the names of the user and the date they chose.

I'm not sure if there's another thread for this already, or if this belongs in a different section. So basically I thought it would be helpful to post up your Bitcoin address in this thread in the event that your account gets compromised later on down the road. You can simply make a new alt account, sign the address that your original account posted here, and have irrefutable proof that you're the actual owner. It's not 100% guaranteed that you'll get your account back, but it's a pretty good start. Of course, if your account is compromised, the hacker could just come back to this thread and edit/delete whatever address you post here, so that's why I'm asking people to quote the address posted by the preceding user in this thread. Here's mine:

Since the next payment would be on Tuesday, I would have the whole week to make at-least the minimum post count, which is 20, right?
Let me know if I am enrolled.

Hi ndnhc, I see my name on the 'New Enrollees' list in the spreadsheet, however it doesn't shows starting post counts?

Starting post count is not required for new enrollees. Your enrollment post is in a different format altogether. Wink

So am I enrolled? Or do I need to provide anything more. I think this was the only thing missing : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=361475;sa=showPosts

And how will the counting of posts be done if starting post is not recorded in the spreadsheet?

You are enrolled. I already added that links when you enrolled. No post count required, posts will be counted from your enrollment post.

If you see your name on the Enrollment sheet, then you are enrolled. That is it. Smiley

Ok. Thanks Smiley
2027  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Advcash - Virtual/Real Plastic Card that can be funded with Bitcoin! on: March 19, 2015, 08:13:41 AM

I suppose you can do all of the depositing actions, transfers in the system including transfer to your card, pay by that card. However you cannot withdraw funds to other payment systems, other visa/mastercards/payment systems. If in doubt contact support. Just saying i was perfectly fine paying without verification

Ok, guess I just have to try with a little amount to see how it goes and see if it asks for verification or not if I try to buy stuff with it on-line like digital goods etc.

Did you already try contacting him via IRC? That's the official way. I got a withdrawal problem solved that way a couple of months ago.

https://kiwiirc.com/client/irc.kiwiirc.com/coin-swap

Thanks for replying. I tried using their IRC but no one this week is responding. Last week Jared said on IRC that Ian should have the wallets fixed by early this week. The Blackcoin wallet still has problems though and I need to get them off before they shut down on Sunday. All my coins are on there and I'm getting very worried.

Can anyone help me get in touch with Ian? Huge reward if anyone can help me out. Thanks!

IRC support is the only way to contact them live AFAIK, Here's their twitter: https://twitter.com/coinswapnet try to see if you can get someone to respond their. There's also this thread where people seem to be discussing similar withdrawal issues. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=480952.120

Hope you can get your coins out. GL

I think the survey must have been filled by 100 participants by now and OP is on-line right now so he might send the payments, since some people seem to be getting agitated.  Smiley

Edit: He just went off-line, so maybe not today.
2031  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Good places to advertise on: March 19, 2015, 07:45:02 AM
Where are there good places to advertise a Bitcoin related company ? Just curious.

What have you found to work ?

This forum, Signature Ads, Social media Campaigns, Faucet rotators, BTC PTC sites, Exchanges, Blockchain.info.

They all work but advertising on this forum and/or doing a signature campaign would get your company the best exposure. Because anyone who is in anyway related to Bitcoin uses this forum one way or the another.
2032  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What happened to getyourbtc.com on: March 19, 2015, 07:38:48 AM
Does anyone know what happened to the PTC Site Getyourbtc.com It just vanished and nothing has come up about it in Google search's. I take it it was another scam site.

I was nearly up to $3 as well. lol

It was most probably a scam, they lured users like you in, made you click ads and earned their income and vanished. It's best to do your research before doing work for any on-line company to find out if they are legit or not.
2033  Economy / Speculation / Re: Facebook messenger update a long term positive for bitcoin? on: March 19, 2015, 07:18:41 AM
I don't know what's all the fuss is about. I don't use facebook, so how would you (OP) send me money? And what about the person who don't have a debit card?

Quote
To use it, Facebook users first will have to link a Visa or MasterCard debit card to their account profile and create a PIN. (iOS users can also use the fingerprint reader on newer iPhones and iPads as a security measure.) To send money over Messenger, users will tap on the $ icon on the screen and enter the amount they want to send. Facebook says the capability will be rolled out “over the coming months in the US.”

2034  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Safest/Smartest Way to buy 50 Bitcoins? on: March 19, 2015, 07:12:16 AM
If coinbase is available in your country then just go with that, it's the safest imo but they charge a little as you mentioned but if you need to be safe then you shouldn't worry about little over charge here and there. You don't have to buy all at once, you can buy in small quantities.
2035  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Advcash - Virtual/Real Plastic Card that can be funded with Bitcoin! on: March 19, 2015, 06:56:03 AM
they got some crazyyy fee structure though .. not sure how many people are gona like that
What fees you are talking about?
Deposit bitcoin 0% Fee.
Withdraw usd 1.99$
Other currencies 2% comission.
Other companies that allow for bitcoin funded cards have fees much higher than that.

Will the Virtual card work on on-line shopping sites like normal credit card? If yes, is there a way I can test that if it gets accepted or not without buying/depositing anything?

And what exactly will be the charge, say I deposit $10 worth Btc and I shop at an on-line store? Also, can you explain what this means:

Is verification required?

Before you verify your account, you can only receive funds and make internal transactions with a $2,500 limit. When you reach this limit, it will be reset in 30 days. All withdrawal transactions will be processed manually. Verified users can make instant automated transactions.
Hi,
Card payments work fine unless you hit 500$ daily card deposit limit or 2500$ monthly limit.
I've tested it. If you hit 500$ card replenishment limit/day your transaction shall not pass and will be deposit in 24 hours.

I see, so if I don't go over $500 deposit limit per day I can use it without providing any verification? What does the term "you can only receive funds and make internal transactions" exactly mean?
2036  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitvisitor sugestions on: March 19, 2015, 05:54:11 AM
I know that Bitvisitor is a useful site that helps newbies to earn their first coins very fast.

But IMHO it has a problem: It creates too much dust.

My idea is simple: When a new address starts to Visit sites, pay every 60 uBTC.
But if that address collects 1mBTC, It could be a good idea to give payments weekly.

I know that a new user wants to have a fast payment, but older users will prefer less dust.

Recommend it to them, I don't think they will implement it, users who visit these sites like PTC & Faucets are brand new to bitcoin and they want to get paid as quickly as possible, even if it is dust. And older members when they realize that it's a waste of time, stop visiting these sites once and for all.

I forgot that the subsection of gambling were invalid for the payment, I will do better this week Roll Eyes

I admit I haven't followed all the changing stipulations on which sections are paid and which aren't, but it's quite a surprise to me if you're correct that "gambling" wouldn't be paid.  Presumably, as a gambling site, dadice would value advertising in "gambling" quite highly.  I know that in the preview of Stunna's (not yet released) sig campaign with varying rates for different sections, gambling was in the highest paid class.  Why wouldn't dadice want to advertize in gambling?

I think Gambling section is allowed but subsections aren't, for ex. Games and rounds & Investor-based games.
