1261  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have 1 BTC, how will you make it to 1.1 BTC in the best way? 10$ Prize on: June 25, 2015, 07:38:04 AM
No investment is without risk and to make 10% in 24 hours or 3 days even you'd have to take a little bit of risk, whether it's lending, trading (buying/selling altcoins), or gambling, although you might think that gambling is too risky but earning ONLY 10% in 3 days its pretty easy, sports gambling as others suggested is what I would suggest, do your research, read on what experts are saying and do it.
1262  Other / Politics & Society / Police officers accidentally broadcast blow job conversation to entire city on: June 25, 2015, 07:26:49 AM
Two police officers inadvertently broadcast an X-rated conversation over the PA speaker during a routine helicopter patrol over Winnipeg, Canada, on Monday evening.

Resident Brandi Armstrong told CBC Canada she and her husband heard one pilot ask "Can you give me a blowjob?" The officer apparently replied: "You have too much body hair."

“My jaw hit the ground; eyes bulged out,” Armstrong said.

The police have now apologised and launched an investigation into the incident. "The Winnipeg Police Service, the flight operations unit and the involved members sincerely apologise to all members of the public, especially those who overheard the broadcast."

They added: "The involved members were not able to hear the public address system from within the aircraft. They became aware their conversation had been broadcast and immediately turned the system off.”

1264  Economy / Gambling / Re: Help me decide the name of my bitcoin gambling website on: June 23, 2015, 11:12:26 AM
I'd go with Bitsharp, it's nice small and catchy, although the preivous name of your site describes what it is about much better but it is too long and when it comes to domain names small and names which are easy to remember are usually better ones.
1265  Economy / Economics / Re: A currency or investment? on: June 23, 2015, 07:48:53 AM
It's both, for people who use it daily it's a currency like I do it for gambling and buying some of the digital goods items and for people who just buy it and put it aside for long term, it's investment. But until we have more usage for it and more business accepting BTC it will be primarily used as an investment.
1266  Economy / Gambling / Re: Best poker site? on: June 22, 2015, 08:02:39 PM
sadly yes , you need to send a scanned photo of your ID or Passport
and you have to send them also a bill with your name and address on it ( the bill should not be from a very long time )
but I think this is how all fiat sites work , it's not a big problem since you are playing in a good site

Yeah it might not be a problem for others but it is for me. It's not that I don't trust them with my credentials, it's just that I don't trust any site for that matter.

Again, thanks for the info dude.

thanks for your questions and thanks to SyGambler for such good answers.

first off the minimum cash out amount using bitcoin is $25 US, second, the ID and utility bill is a one time deal verification process that is it done only to ensure a safe and secure play environment for all players, and only at the time of requesting your first cash out.

So, please go ahead and open your free account, check the site and play the freerolls. Also, be sure to follow us on Facebook and twitter, we have weekly raffles and special promos: http://www.twitter.com/acr_poker  and https://www.facebook.com/americascardroomnet

I would have loved to but as I said before I am not comfortable providing my IDs to any website and the whole idea behind BTC gambling is that it is anonymous and I prefer it that way. Your site is great and I am sure many people won't mind the verification process but I do. Thanks for the invite though, good luck with your site. Smiley
1267  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Debit Cards: A Real Alternative? on: June 22, 2015, 07:55:38 PM
But you'd have to trust the supplier of these cards to load your money into it everytime, I don't think I can get myself to trust them.
1268  Economy / Currency exchange / Re: WTB bitcoins cash deposit on: June 22, 2015, 07:45:22 PM
Looking to buy some btc using cash deposit. I have about $1500 available and prefer to use a trusted escrow. I have most major banks close to me
How can you talk of trusted escrow when your purpose is to make an exchange, however you did not tell us your method of payment, is it paypal, perfectmoney, payza  bank transfer etc

He said that he would prefer to use a trusted escrow for the exchange (it is generally a good thing that he is talking of using an escrow for the exchange, why do you have an objection with that?) And he did say that he will prefer to do a cash deposit in the seller's bank account, read again.

Looking to buy some btc using cash deposit. I have about $1500 available and prefer to use a trusted escrow. I have most major banks close to me

But what he did fail to specify is what country he is from because banks don't allow cash deposit in international bank accounts.
1269  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: How secure is BKChain.org wallet? on: June 22, 2015, 07:31:33 PM
This is the claim they seem to make:

Quote
Secure & Private

100% client-side wallet.

Private keys never leave your browser.

No data is stored on server.

But one can never be sure of these things, no web wallet can be fully trusted.

That sounds exciting, this is your site right? http://www.americascardroom.eu/ It's great you started accepting BTC, whats the minimum cashout in BTC?

It looks good, will try and play some hands soon and see how it goes. You should make an official thread about this in Gambling section (if you haven't already). GL

hey mate
this is their official thread here https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1081344.0
they started to accept BTC some months ago
when I was playing I guess the minimum withdrawal was 10$ using BTC
but as I said before you need to verify your account and they accept all countries

Thx for the info, I didn't know that they had a verification process. What exactly does one have to provide to get verified? If it is ID, I don't think many btc gamblers will like to provide that.
1272  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Maximum concurrent requests... @Blockchain.info on: June 22, 2015, 06:46:46 PM
I have had that error in the past. Today there is a stress test of the Bitcoin network. Someone is spamming it with transactions to see if it can cope when overloaded. That might have something to do with today's maximum concurrent requests error.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1094865.0

That could be it and that's a very informative thread, thanks for linking it here.
1273  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] myb.tc bitcoinaddress shortener on: June 22, 2015, 06:40:29 PM
It's pretty nice, one more use of it is you can add it below your avatar, as personal text because that field doesn't allow too many characters and it will look cool. Smiley

This is my link btw: http://myb.tc/QJT

And here's testing if the currency convert thing works or not http://myb.tc/QJT/9.99USD

Edit: It looks good, if someone wants to test that, go right ahead  Wink 'JK'

Great work guys, congrats.
1274  Other / Off-topic / Re: Do you allow smoking cigarettes or are you anti-tobacco? on: June 22, 2015, 05:57:29 PM
I don't smoke but I ain't anti-smoking/tobacco, people are free to do whatever they want to do with their lives but I avoid places where people are allowed to smoke inside and I avoid people who smoke when I am around because second hand smoke is more harmful.
1275  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Maximum concurrent requests... @Blockchain.info on: June 22, 2015, 05:47:02 PM
Any body else getting this error? I am getting this a lot today, it pops up whenever I try to view a Transaction or balance of an address.  Undecided

Does anyone uses it's wallet, is it same with that too or is it just the block explorer??

Yes it was happen to me but for now it's back to normal

It comes and goes, it's quite annoying, I am too used to viewing this block explorer and hate going to the others, which are quite bulky.
1276  Economy / Gambling / Re: DirectBet – LIVE Sportsbook & Racebook. Rated # 1 by Bitcointalk Members ! on: June 22, 2015, 05:41:09 PM
Can I bet with XAPO Wallet?

Yes, I think you can, your winnings will get forwarded to the receiving address you enter prior to betting, so I guess it's not a problem from where you send money to the betting address.

This is just what I learnt from my experience of betting here, but you should still wait for the official response from Directbet.

1277  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How Escrow works .. in this case ? on: June 22, 2015, 05:33:44 PM
Escrow keeps the money from the buyers and keeps the items from the sellers, check the items as claimed! Then send the items to the buyers and wait for the confirmation from buyers then send the money to sellers! Then this escrow is perfectly done!

Oh I see , so the Escrow gets the items too , I thought he only gets the bitcoins however it still dosen't make sense , imagine that escrow sent the item to the buyer and as you said "wait for the confirmation from the buyers" , what if the buyer never receive the items for one reason or another like idk .. package got stolen or something like that . who would be responsible buyer still can claim that he didn't receive anything . (It may true , it may be wrong)

Packages are sent all over the world and it very rarely happens that they get lost and which is why if the items are precious, the courier companies ask you to pay for insurance, so if something happens to the package while on it's way, the insurance will cover the item's price. But if the courier companies inform to the sender (escrow) that the product was delivered in right condition, and the buyer claims to have not received the product in good condition, or that the he didn't received the right product then it's a dispute and escrow will make a decision after doing the investigation.

But I understand your concern it could turn nasty if something like this were to happen, which is why I think some of the escrows don't deal with physical products.

Pretty good answer , that's all I needed to know . Well I asked this question because I think it dosen't work like the other countries on my country , Not sure if you know Neteller & Payoneer MasterCards but for me those was the first online things I purchase online , they always gets lost on the mail and I never got them till the day I paid for DHL I got them in couple of days to my front door . so I had to ask to make sure Smiley I guess I will keep staying away from Physical stuff transaction for now

You're correct, A good courier company is vital if you're sending/receiving the product from the farthest corners of the world. The postal services of different countries are different and they are not reliable at all, I myself ordered some stuff from someone from Amazon and the guy sent it from his local postal service and it got lost in between and never reached me, I claimed that and received my money because the sender did not even provide a tracking number.

You don't have to stay away from it, just make sure that the seller is reliable and have had many previous successful trades but there is always a slight risk when ordering stuff, a sender can send damaged product or wrong product and it also happens that sometimes buyers take advantage and claim that they didn't receive the product they ordered or that it was broken, and these type of scams are common with Ebay and Amazon.
1278  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Barcelona on fire! New bitcoin two ways ATM on the downtown! on: June 22, 2015, 05:12:58 PM
Good news for Barcelonians.. I wish there were some BTC ATMs where I am at, it does increases adoption as it makes people curious who otherwise are not aware of it. And it makes it so easy for them to buy/sell bitcoins. Good luck with this.
