1301  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin wallet lifetime ? on: June 20, 2015, 02:00:51 PM
You can print paper wallets OP or read more on cold storage but do remember that paper wallets if not stored right they can get damaged and if the key is lost you end up losing your bitcoins, same goes for other cold storage like if you keep them in an offline hard drive or pen drive they might fail, so it's best if you're going to put your bitcoins in a cold storage to keep lots of back ups and check on them.

May be hardware wallets like Trezor offer better cold storage but I haven't used them so don't know.
1302  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: what features you want in bitcoin ?? on: June 20, 2015, 01:54:35 PM
I don't know if it is possible or not but I would love to be able to Mine, I know it's impossible right now with the difficulty and with Miner's farms with their huge set-ups but I think more people would get involved if they could mine and earn something from their home computers.
1303  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: My account on Payza got restricted, could I be scammed ? Need your help please. on: June 20, 2015, 01:50:16 PM
I will wait till I hear from Payza and will ask them about the fraudulent funds.

This is the thing with online payment instruments, they can cease your funds on suspicions of Money Laundering, stolen funds etc. I think I read a thread some time back with similar situation, don't know if it ever got resolved or not. Just keep in touch with them and find out the reason why they froze your account. If you're able to get your funds out, don't use them ever again.
1304  Economy / Goods / Re: Jewelry Business on: June 20, 2015, 01:41:43 PM
uh couldn't you just start a merchant wallet on coinbase then put up a bitcoin accepted here sign in your window and blammo your in the scene.

post a website and give us a discount on those Rolex watches

Yeah that be real nice, show the world you're starting to accept bitcoins then put up a website with the pictures of your store, I am sure there are bitcoiners in Miami who would love to go down to your store and buy stuff from with you Bitcoin. GL with your business
1305  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Honey Badger of money on: June 20, 2015, 01:39:05 PM
Heh. Hilarious. Unfortunately, regarding the point of banks, we still need banks to transfer fiat which we use to purchase bitcoin.
People are so attached in the old financial system that, they want to be enslaved forever by it. Haven't you heard about attempts of creation Bitcoin Banks? Bitcoin is everything that we wanted,
yet we will corrupt it, change it,  and cut its wings with regulations. Bitcoin is p2p and yet we need bitcoin exchanges and other satellite services. And so on.

I don't like the idea of Bitcoin banks myself, it's like going backwards again but some regulations is getting necessary, some of the scammers are just taking advantage of its wings and flying away with people's funds too easily, it's not good for bitcoin or it's adoption.

@OP love the poster, Imma put it on my twitter and get it printed and put it on my wall. Thx
1306  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help, Bitcoin Never Reached My Wallet on: June 19, 2015, 12:07:25 PM
Good you found the solution yourself and what's even better is you didn't send the funds to somewhere else but let this be a lesson always double check the address before you either withdraw from any site or send from your wallet.

I think you should lock this thread now.

1308  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How do I become an escrow? on: June 18, 2015, 03:55:42 AM
Tomatocage and others have already provided you with the essentials on how to go about becoming an escrow on this forum but apart from that you also need to show the users that theire funds will be safe, some escrows are providing Trezor wallets for safe keeping of user's funds, others are very technically advanced and keep the funds in cold storage and they have their PGP Keys published so the users can know that they're infact the real person. All this is a part of becoming a successful escrow.

I keep my funds on cold storage on an offline pc and I have a pgp key but still I would NEVER offer escrow services because I don't want to hold any body's funds for if some unthinkable reason they're lost, I'd have to pay them from my own funds and I don't want to take any risks. I prefer to sleep peacefully  Cheesy.
1309  Economy / Gambling / Re: Looking for a $1 bitcoin LIVE casino on: June 18, 2015, 03:45:57 AM
I've lost a few bitcoin in my life to dice sites like primedice, dadice, etc.
The addiction is too strong and I need a substitution Cheesy... fast.

I see some people playing in live online tables but the buy ins are huge.

Do you know of any live casinos at a buy in of $ 1 or maybe $ 5?

I dont know what do you mean by live casino but what do I know is there some casino that play that bet like betvip poker or you can try satoshi card club. You can have low buy in at there plus there are some event to join there. Go try it

By live casino he means the casino which offer live tables, with actual human dealers usually hot girls and to answer your question OP, they usually have higher buy-ins to cover the cost of live stream and the dealer's salary. Try Cloudbet, I think you'll be able to buy-in for $5 but not sure though.
1310  Economy / Gambling / Re: Why are there so few players at web-based bitcoin poker websites? on: June 18, 2015, 03:42:11 AM
I don't think it's due to the fact that these sites are browser based, it's because most BTC gamblers are not really interested in playing poker ring games, they want to only play freerollsm, either because they don't feel that they're good or they don't want to deposit. And after a while it becomes hard for any site to survive if the players are there only for freebies.
1311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: is gambling fix your life? or wreck your life? on: June 18, 2015, 03:32:35 AM
Don't know if it is a fix or not but it's definitely not a wreck for me, I love gambling, I do it online & offline, I have been gambling for 7 years I think and I don't think I can think of my life without it. Apart from BTC gambling where I have lost around 2+ BTC, I don't think I am at a loss anywhere, I don't think I am good enough to do it for living as I know some people who are but still I don't think I am bad it.
1312  Economy / Gambling / Re: CasinoBitco.in is now BitcoinRush.io !!! on: June 18, 2015, 03:25:59 AM
Sorry if this has been asked/answered before but why the name change?

CasinoBitco.in sounded so good and was really catchy, the new one is good as well but any particular reason why you changed it? I say keep CasinoBitco.in and forward it to bitcoinrush.
1313  Economy / Services / Re: Need a signature design ||| 0.1 ~ 0.2 BTC on: June 18, 2015, 02:59:42 AM
OP I can safely advice you that both the designers roslinpl & medUSA are top notch, you can employ either of them and rest assured you'll get the best designs for your sig.

Most (if not all) of the sig designs on bitcointalk are made by them.
1314  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Technically speaking: Can I get in trouble when using Purse.io through Amazon's on: June 18, 2015, 02:54:36 AM
I don't think that the receiver would get into any trouble, as you said yourself the whole point having a wishlist is you can publish it online and people can buy stuff for you, now if they used illegal means to purchase an item for you, it's not your fault. Amazon should make it difficult for people to use stolen credit cards by hardening the verification process before they allow someone to use it.
1315  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: luckyflop.eu appears to be rigged on: June 18, 2015, 01:58:57 AM
Interesting that the first person who replied to my post did not address any of the issues that I presented.

In response to the 2nd replier: These facts have been consistent for more than 30 days. No one plays 24 hours a day for 30 days straight.

Another interesting fact: Neither user ever replies to chat messages during a game.

btw: They just repeated the same scenario again: I joined one of their tables, the other guy immediately joined. When I left, they both immediately left. They NEVER play even one hand against each other.

As much as I understand from this, I would say that they're most probably bots, everything you're saying tells that their actions are automated, they join the table when someone joins, they leave when the other user leaves, they never play against each other and they don't talk and you're right no human user can play 24hrs/day for a full month but it might be that when someone from site is available they take the Bot's place because it is a well known fact that Poker sites do employ people to play for them on ring tables.
1316  Economy / Gambling / Re: Bitcoin for cash on mostly any online casino! on: June 18, 2015, 01:46:59 AM
First of all specify which online Casino's currency you need, then lower the price because it is more than the market price, then find an escrow, my suggestion would be Tomatocage or devthedev, move the funds to escrow and then others will take you seriously and they might offer you what you need.
1317  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just wondering about escrow on: June 18, 2015, 01:32:54 AM
You actually answered your own question yourself, since the buyer can chargeback upto 180 days an escrow is not really useful in this sort of trade, if you do employ one the best S/He can do is hold on to BTC until you confirm that you have received the funds in your Paypal account and then he'd have to release the funds to the buyer.

There's no protection when you're dealing with paypal which is why it should be avoided.
1318  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Help, Bitcoin Never Reached My Wallet on: June 18, 2015, 01:27:14 AM
Yesterday I used www.virwox.com to transfer 0.033 BTC to my newly electrum-created bitcoin wallet. I've used their service in the past to buy small amounts of bitcoin. Never had a problem before. This is my first time using electrum though. In past times I used a different client, Java based, can't recall the name.

I copied the first address in the list of my "Receiving" addresses shown in the "Addresses" tab in my Electrum client. Then using the virwox form I sent the bitcoins to that address.
The first thing that I noticed is that the bitcoins apparently never went to that address. They went to a different one altogether, how, I can not begin to fathom.

This is the transaction ID: 47448fd34ceed4cf032c7dd78651e835f12b304d2582300d8da68673f94c7553

It shows that the BTCs were sent to this address: 12HAybNqJJ7fBLtxUVQ8oyZf5birEJAhAx
Looking at the history of that address in blockchain.info I can see the address has multiple transactions.

This is my bitcoin address, the one I used when transferring: 1DkPa12uuJAdeS8dkxseZBRe8iQ4GUHdpq.

My question is: Could my client be compromised, somehow. Making alias addresses that all point or link to different  addresses? Is this even possible in the bitcoin world?
If not what happened? Why were my bitcoins sent somewhere else even though I specified my address as the destination address?

Thanks.

No I don't think it is possible that your client made an alias, if you're certain that you copy pasted the 2nd address mentioned above (1DkPa12uuJAdeS8dkxseZBRe8iQ4GUHdpq) to Virwox then it's not the fault of Electrum that you didn't receive funds to that address, either there's a malware who changed the address when you entered it into Virwox or the website itself did this.

1320  Economy / Gambling / Re: Are There Any Good Reliable UK Horse Racing Sites Accepting Bitcoin? on: June 17, 2015, 05:07:37 PM
Yup, directbet is the best place to bet on horse racing. I don't normally bet on horses but ever since I started to I got totally addicted, it's really fun.
