Your starting to be annoying, so do you want me to hack it and prove that it is insecure, well that isn't happening. This isn't court, and if I say it is insecure, then it is insecure that is how it goes. There is no trust in that team, they have an onion address which makes less trust, which in the case of torwallet or onionwallet, makes it an easy scam. I like how you find a thread that is dead, bring it back and tell me how your going to ignore me, now your here just saying "Your spreading FUD" which I clearly never did. Thank you sir, but go back to ignoring me, I hate when newbies get big balls. Just cause you feel like you got to make a name for self by trying to disapprove something the community agreed on, then have fun, but I am done here.

You're missing the point.
You spread FUD by stating a claim without any evidence to back it up.
You made a false accusation and that doesn't reflect well on you or any projects that your name may be attached to.
And by the way, user gweedo is not the community.

If you would like to present some evidence to back up your claim, I'll be waiting. If not, I'll note you down as a person who spreads defamatory and false material Smiley

LMAO and I care what you think because? I just told you my reason and you didn't think it was good enough so that isn't my problem that is your problem. The rest of the people in this thread agreed and I could care less about what some newbie thinks, go run along.

Security

Security and confidence is the most important factor when it comes to sending crypto coins anywhere. That is why we have implemented several security features in the backend of The FreeMarket to ensure that if any vulnerability are discovered and exploited by someone with ill intent, damage is confined and recoverable.

We could launch the site 2 weeks earlier than planned but we wouldn't have time to test all aspects of the website and its security features. We will not launch early just to get launched for the sake of launching either early or on time without all of our testing being completed.
There is not a single wallet held on our webserver, they are all held on separate servers to ensure the highest possible level of security for everyone’s coins.

We fully understand that most websites are not perfect, so to ensure that if vulnerabilities are discovered they get reported to us, we shall be offering high bounties and a hall of fame listing to anyone that finds vulnerabilities or major bugs within our systems. These bounties are set based on the level of the vulnerability found and the potential consequences. We will have a mirror of the website with dummy data listed for people to attack at their leisure to try and discover vulnerabilities. Anyone wanting to obtain the .onion address for the testing site you can request this information through our support system on the main website.

For peace of mind we suggest that you do not keep large balances on you FreeMarket account until you have established trust of both our systems and The FreeMarket team. We understand trust and respect is not a given it is something that we must earn over time.

This talks about no security steps taken, it just basically says don't leave large amount of coins on the server. So basically that means it is insecure cause, it should clearly say what and how about security steps.

By the way, no FUD Wink

Actually it discusses how there's no Escrow at this point in time and users would have to have mutual trust until  such a service could be implemented, tested then released.
In fact it goes through how testing is the main factor holding the project from launching right now.

And your argument is still based on the false, one might say elementary assumption, that an absence of proof is proof in itself. If you took that argument to court, you'd lose if you were in front of a judge Wink
If you can garner some hard evidence of security issues, then come back and present them.
Until then, all you're doing at the moment is defamation and spreading FUD.
You should add those two to your resume too, your clients should know how professional your conduct is Smiley

I like to stop those spreading needless FUD around and call out those trolls where possible. Just because you think you're better doesn't make you any less of a troll Wink
I'll even ignore an ignore to get that point across Wink
Just to let you know, that's not how burden of proof works. Where's your proof for these insecurities?
I'm still waiting for citations or a retraction, since those are the only options you really have if you want to remain factually correct.

Also should I just give him business ideas? I am not using his platform I could care less if he succeeds or not but I am not giving out good ideas to someone that clearly didn't know how to run a site.

So what you're saying is that you could actually benefit someone else, yet you're not going to because you have personal beef with anything other than Bitcoin and Silk Road?
How can you be so petty?
Do Alt's scare you?

I'll also point out that you stated that his site was insecure.
Where's the proof?
You made the claim, burden of proof is on you, unless of course you're FUDing.

Wait I thought you ignored me? Why you talking to me, I am ignored.

No personal beef, but why should I give out good ideas LMAO and help someone that called me a troll? Now that is stupid.

Yes alts scare me so much, that is why I have devcoins and litecoins. Wink

Actually security falls under that the owner should prove it to us, until then I label them insecure Wink Or at least explanation of what they are doing, all they said was"being taken care of and not to worry. Not very comforting to me.

Also again why you talking to me I thought you ignored me? Can you go back to ignoring me Smiley thank you!

We are not a direct clone of other sites offering an "anonymous marketplace". We are aiming to build on the original idea.

You are a direct clone, you just offer alt-coins, and Atlantis does that already and they are failing. Did you do any research into the marketplace? I am guessing not the reason Silk Road works is cause of trust that has been built up for over 2 years.

As stated above you are a bit of a troll

I am the troll, yet everyone in this thread agreed with me, think about it.

All you have done is criticise without offering as much as a shed of help. You've even started to spread FUD by stating that it's insecure when there's no evidence to back up that claim.
You are a troll, and you've been ignored.

Thank you for ignoring me and necrothreading Smiley Also should I just give him business ideas? I am not using his platform I could care less if he succeeds or not but I am not giving out good ideas to someone that clearly didn't know how to run a site. Hence why this never took off. Also their was evidence he had no clue on how to secure it.

2029  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Boycott 0.8.2 on: June 21, 2013, 01:49:08 AM
And the more you say it doesn't make it right. No one has explained why it is spam? It isn't spam, when I started with bitcoin, micro-transactions were welcomed. And at that point they were worth less than they are worth now. So what changed, the core dev team can't fix the blockchain and don't want to deal with it.

I see that you joined about two weeks after SD started. Now I am not blaming SD, but I think that their business model first highlighted the effect upon the Bitcoin network of many 'legitimate' micro-transactions. Clearly a few are always tolerable, but before SD they were rare, unless they were part of a deliberate spamming attack, and overall volumes small enough that it did not matter. SD has improved a lot with its minimum (0.0005 BTC, I believe). The 0.8.2 changes reduces the risk of other pseudo-legitimate sources of high-volume micro-transactions emerging.

There are possible optimizations for blockchain handling, such as the one maaku is working on, but it is still some time off yet.

I was actually around before SD, was. But that isn't an excuse. SD created a business model, that was successful, Erik didn't do anything he wasn't suppose and even paid the fees, making that excuse a very bad one. That is the free market if it was harmful to the end user, why not stop using SD all together. But instead of doing that, the core devs took it upon them to say, that is not how we want bitcoin to be use, and they changed it. Shame on them, that is horrible and they talk about how bad money is. Look at bitspend chase shut them down, basically the core dev team did the same thing to SD. Horrible, inexcusable abuse of their power, and not an excuse as to why micro-transactions should be stopped.
2030  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: MPOE-PR's list of things you always suspected were scams but never dared say so. on: June 21, 2013, 12:55:45 AM
+1 on the Bitcoin Foundation being a scam, all they do is spew lies and bullshit (like when they said they were stomping out scams and such, what utter crap). As long as that exists this isn't decentralized, there has to be a better way to develop the Bitcoin-QT software.
It's called using alternate clients. Most IRC networks no longer use ircd, they use forks of it.

Really not a good comparison, cause the reasons it got forked, or rewritten was cause, IRCD was stopped being developed.

Yes people like you are hurting all the stuff that big bitcoiners like me do. Do you not see that, by committing tax fraud governments will not look pass that? Or you just too stupid, maybe your wife, is rubbing off on you. LMAO

I hope you and your family will not suffer the fate of OP and always enjoy perfect health and perfect earning capacity.

Now go and report your full Bitcoin earnings to the IRS and vote Statism at the next elections.  Roll Eyes

I do report my full bitcoin earnings and that is helping pave the future for more people to use bitcoin LEGALLY. People like this will be doing more harm.

Also don't worry about my health, I be around forever at this rate, and I brought the best private insure ever, so I get to go ahead of the line in the ER Wink It is like the fast pass of health LMAO

No.. Bad Idea. We should show support for the devs who work their ass off getting out updates.

And blocking microtransactions is a bad thing? Not only did it slow up the speed of transactions it completly spams blockchain.

I love the brain wash of the core dev team. So how did transactions get slow because of micro-transactions? It never did it was always a free market. Also how does it spam the blockchain? It doesn't, maybe instead of brainwashing people the core dev team should start actually fixing the blockchain, which has been broken, due to the lack of attention it gets. The most important part of bitcoin and it doesn't get any attention kind sad.

It spams the uxto which is normally kept in memory.

The core dev team is actually pretty good compared with most open source projects, but is still vulnerable to a 51% consensus attack...

It doesnt matter tho, because losses to bitcoin will be gains to alt currencies.

It's competition fair and square.

I am sorry to break it to you but it has never been fair. They have too much power, and sadly no one wants to fork it, so some of us have to deal with it.

Micro-transactions spam the blockchain, and it does not matter if you repeat the opposite a thousand times, like a Tibetan mantra, you are still wrong.

Pirate 2.0 I called this one LOL
A bit too early to call that one.

Give TF to come back online.
The downtime is inconvenient though.

Yes it is 6am in Sydney right now.  I assume TF does sleep occasionally.  But maybe he needs some administrative assistance from people on the other side of the globe?

Well when my servers are down, or even if the error log is filling up in a short period of time, as I imagine, my phone gets automatic alerts, and phone calls that wake me up. I don't know just a responsibility to anyone with money on my servers.

You are really going to put all your savings in bitcoins? The virtual currency the government is sheepishly cracking down on for tax fraud and you want to use it for that purpose? Seems smart.

Good luck getting anything of value for those coins down the line, especially if people like you continue seeing bitcoin as a means for tax fraud.

Thanks to people like him that will be happening sooner.

Whew! For a minute there I thought you weren't gonna respond! Thanks gweedo! My post count would be MUCH lower without you! (grin)

I don't think even people like me that you assume see bitcoin as a means for tax fraud can even come close to hurting bitcoin. But that's just my opinion. Yer entitled to all of yours, of course.

Yes people like you are hurting all the stuff that big bitcoiners like me do. Do you not see that, by committing tax fraud governments will not look pass that? Or you just too stupid, maybe your wife, is rubbing off on you. LMAO

Also again you being an idiot, post counts don't matter anymore, you can post 1000000 times but every two weeks it only counts for a little bit.

But I like my post count! I think the things I post are doing good, not harm. I'm sure people will look at my posts and your posts and come to their own conclusions. And I don't even need a private investigator to know that! (grin)

Yes your post are good, if you want to hurt the community, that a lot of people worked hard, so you can sit on your ass, and make money from just holding on to coins. But you don't see that and that hurts. Also about the private investigator, he has told me so much about you, and for free Wink so be careful at any time I can just ring the IRS and tell them about your little ideas Wink

I second those who argue skipping college.  Like you I was programming in high school and college taught me nothing.   I now interview people on a regular basis and NEVER look at their college.   I would go so far as to say you don't want to work any place that does.

If you want a job send me a message and we can see how you can join the team.    You can make more money on you own than in a 9 to 5 job.

I regret going to college everyday, and if bitcoin didn't talk off I would be in $200,000 loans and I wouldn't be able to start my own companies, or anything I have to go to work.
