The solution I thougth to this problem, is to dedicate as much hashing power as possible to new accounts, so they will be able to become completed quickly.

Can't say I'm too happy about that.  I'd rather older accounts get priority (as they should).

I agree, I feel like I am getting a little bit of the shaft for believing early on, and giving money.
1303  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin-Qt vs Online Wallet on: March 18, 2014, 12:51:50 AM
I don't recommend online wallets.

Online wallets are more secure that a homemade computer.

Actually online wallets have a very low security rating. They are so easy to rob, this has been shown many times over and over.

This is why local clients will never be overthrown by web clients. To be honest they should have multiple mirrors and backup database, I have worked with large data sets and this is pretty standard.

1309  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone have wiki priviliges over at http://en.bitcoin.it? on: March 16, 2014, 05:51:33 PM
I am pretty sure the wiki has changed hands, so if that person wants to add a payment system I would donate my robust api system when it launch to help fixing the payment mod.
1310  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin-Qt / bitcoind version 0.8.6 released on: March 16, 2014, 04:35:52 PM
Why anyone would like to use Bitcoin-qt over Multibit i don't get it.

Cause I don't trust any nodes on the network.
1311  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (NSFW) From the lovely girls of ClassyCams we have a treat for you! on: March 16, 2014, 03:56:38 AM
I mean maybe she smoothed her skin or fixed lighting or something.

We wouldn't care if it was on her skin or lighting but that show the big black area on her skin, not on her sign, which is the exact size of the sign she is holding. Trust me she just photoshoped it on, a lot of them do that with sign pics.
1312  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: (NSFW) From the lovely girls of ClassyCams we have a treat for you! on: March 16, 2014, 03:52:31 AM

First off their is no other black parts, just darker pixels and we know it was photoshop, no one will judge you if you just say it, but don't lie and say it isn't.

What color would you say is the thing to the right of the sign which appears to be the floor?

I'm not lying.  I didn't photoshop and I know the model doesn't have the skills to do it.  She takes sign pics all the time so there's no reason for her to photoshop it.

No there isn't any big dark area, and you can't not lie about the analysis of the picture because you can test the image your self they all show the same thing. That area is very dark and it is one part. It isn't the RGB colors which shows it is was digitally altered.

I also know cammodels and most of them are handy with photoshop it is part their job to touch up and focus things on them.
I know it looks photoshopped but I'm telling you I really don't think it is.  Maybe the image was touched up but the sign definitely wasn't photoshopped in.

Maybe touched up? No something was deleted and then something was added from another image or created on top of it. Trust me I know these things Wink

You do know that dark part, means it is photoshopped. Something was covered up and pasted from another image on top. It be nice if you actually read as well. Smiley

What about the other black part on the image?  That photoshopped too?

Who wants to put a Bitcoin bet on it?

Examine all of the different images and the angles of the lettering...no one is that good of a photoshop artist to adjust each one perfectly based on the way the model holds the sign.

New rules (draft):

  • The hashing power is distributed proportionally to the power bought with each deposit, and it does not get averaged anymore. Deposits will get their real hashing power instead of being a part of the whole pool.
  • The hashing power left (completed accounts) is distributed to the 10 oldest and still active deposits as a bonus, to speed up completion.
  • The % of mined coins distributed to upper levels (sponsors) is changed. Before it was 15% to 1st level, 7.5% to second level and 7.5% to third level. It will become: 5% first level, 2.5% second level, 2.5% third level.

Kinda not happy since I will end up with less mining power and probably not get the full reward I was offered for a while. But if you think this is the best business decision I can accept it. I think what would be better is start new accounts off with this, and leave the old accounts the other way because then we can accept this new TOS or still enjoy the old TOS.

I believe he is referring to newly active deposits. Current deposits should keep the old rules.
The way I read this, and the way I believe it should be is that the older deposits split at least some of the excess hardware he brings online to get them out of the way. I have deposits going back to july of last year, and I am willing to wait for those older than me to get their due before I get paid.

So in short, here is my suggestion.
We have 5.9ths in queue and 30+ coming online. Take 10ths and split it among the oldest deposits, by 10, or whatever # makes sense for the size of the earliest accounts and leave the rest for new deposits.

Also pyramining can you put on our profiles when we login if we have an old account? I think one of my accounts should just be able to make that oldest account, i just don't know based on the information I can see.

If this is for new accounts then I think it is fair.

1318  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Online Radio Station? on: March 15, 2014, 03:19:31 AM
I would like a bitcoin style radio station, I can't offer much other than support.

Gweedo, thanks for the support! Please help us spread the word! I notice your a HTML/CSS Dev? Maybe you could help us with the site?

I can give you direction but right now I am launching a startup so I don't have the time,

my friend is already building it!

http://www.btcradio.com

it will allow people to DJ on it , do talk shows etc.,etc

So we can't have two in the community? I say lets have two, chances are at some point I know I will switch back and forth depending on the content at the time I am listening.
1319  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: [ANN] Open Source Bitcoin Faucet on: March 14, 2014, 08:19:29 AM
yes the .htaccess file has been uploaded as well.... I checked the error logs and it just has blank files

Make sure you are looking at the correct error.log for the correct virtual host, because a 500 code would log that into the error.log otherwise it will be also impossible to figure out the problem. Goto your virtual host and make sure it is logging.

I can probably do better security at a cheaper cost, with key splitting, encryption and P2SH addresses. I think they are just trying to profit on misinformation.
