2021  Economy / Speculation / Re: BITCOINS 5th signal on: May 28, 2019, 02:12:12 AM
I read somewhere that Bitcoins according to trading investors generally gives off parabolic signals which marks increase before the actual event.
Right now if we go according to them, it have just given a parabolic signal for increasing tremendously for a 5th time now , no one knows how high it will plunge, but it will be followed by a huge sell off in the market (of course since many are here for short term gains ) thus the price may then plummet to where we all started from , what do you think ?
Will it go that low, after the price surge ?
Please share your views.

The consensus is that we have just entered a bull market and are in an accumulation phase. Traditionally bitcoin rises sharply before and after the halving, so the market is very bullish right now. After the parabolic rise, we are bound to crash, but we will not reach the lows reached previously, most likely.

I think that as long as there will be good volume of demand for bitcoin then after even a crash it will eventually push back though sometimes this process can take a lot of time just like the last winter which occurred for months before we have the bullish movement...right now. As of the moment, bitcoin is hovering at $8,700+ and if things can go right this can eventually overcome the $9,000 zone soon. As far as bitcoin is concerned, the way I am seeing it is that it is just following its own history though there can always be peculiarities from time to time. Next year, we are expecting the halving and who knows ETF can be approved soon...these factors can push bitcoin upwards like never before.
2022  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC counter reaches zero. Now what? on: May 28, 2019, 12:57:32 AM
This will happen 120 years from now. The last bitcoin will be mined in 2140, from 2100 to 2140 it wil be mined approx 1 bitcoin/year (a guess),
until then there is sufficient time to discuss this.  50 years from now the quantum computers will be available.

I heard somewhere that the super computers or quantum computers can pose problem to bitcoin and the blockchain technology...can you confirm this information? Anyway, I think we should not be worrying much about what can happen 120 years from now. I am sure there will be so many developments and innovations along the way and we don't even know if bitcoin can be recognizable at that time as it is even today evolving.
2023  Other / Off-topic / Re: 2400 Bitcoin's Challenge on: May 27, 2019, 02:54:35 PM
A newly created account to give away 2400 bitcoin?wow this is really fantastic lol 😂😂😂

Do you think there will be someone to take this joke seriously?man this is cryptocurrency community and people are really tired of this kind of thing. But I hope there will at least even 1 to believe you(but I doubt it) Anyway goodluck

I am not so sure how to react to the post above but something is telling me to doubt it. One, if this is a real and trustworthy program...so why not put up a site where the information is provided? The program has to build up some credibility before the promoter has to expect for people to join on it. I am just wondering where is the prizes coming from? This is 2400 Bitcoin approximately $21,170,000...you must be the relative of Satoshi Nakamoto or just another joker like Craig Wright. Anyway, good luck to the program.
2024  Economy / Speculation / Re: The Next Bull Run on: May 27, 2019, 02:13:11 PM
Hello guys. With the recent pump being experienced with btc, could this be the next pump and break out to $10k0and above?
What should one look out for. Thanks

When Bitcoin made the move weeks ago into the $5,000 territory, many analysts said that Bitcoin can be doing the bull run this time of the year and can be bullish for the next months towards the end of 2019. I guess they made the correct projection as the bullish sentiment of the market keeps Bitcoin afloat even if sometimes there can be some corrections. With the way things are developing, it would soon be easy for Bitcoin to get into the $9,000 area and then we know where it is going next. Yes, we can now conclude that the bull is here and as to where it can peak and when that we will excitedly wait and found out. Incidentally, I am actually amazed that this time around, we don't hear many people saying that bitcoin is going to the "moon" maybe because they are already tired of such a hype.
2025  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-27]Franck Muller Releases Luxury Watch With Bitcoin Cold Wallet Functio on: May 27, 2019, 01:56:44 PM

This Franck Muller watch can be the next symbol of wealth, elegance and of course expensive cryptocurrency wallet. Wow! Who would not want to own a watch with a wallet like that? But when I review the price, reality hits me. Maybe I would just prefer to buy Bitcoin instead if ever I have that much money. I am sure there is a big market for this luxurious item as this can be a collector's item actually...a high-tech watch very much attuned to the bitcoin and cryptocurrency phenomenon. It can be amazing to think that Switzerland is known for making the most expensive and luxurious watches and right now it is becoming the home of many fintech companies making business with blockchain technology and cryptocurrency...just watch this watch is symbolizing.
2026  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invest in thinking, Do not worry later. on: May 27, 2019, 01:09:51 PM
At present, the situation in the market. There is no chance of becoming an overnight buyer in BITCOIN. So think about investing more often than new investors. Many of them have seen their capital being wasted. Due to investing without understanding.

Jumping into something without first thoroughly thinking what can the consequences be or what should be the required prerequisites are is a stupid thing to do. Now, with investing with Bitcoin the best time for that can be 10 years ago or now when it is about to embark on another bullish journey. Of course, one has to be ready financially if the decision is yes. Another good strategy is steadily adding a little bit of bitcoin now and then especially if there is a dip. The most important thing is to always use our head when we are investing regardless of what investment vehicle we are into, and not be guided by emotions.
2027  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will happen if we find THE REAL SATOSHI ?? on: May 27, 2019, 12:47:41 PM
Just curious  Wink I have seen many news about who claim to be satoshi and who might be satoshi. Let say we skip the part where we got the proof satoshi then what. Will the price go up?? What will he do next Huh  Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley Smiley

What can happen to bitcoin if one day we can finally find the most mysterious man in this side of universe? Well, let us based that on what happened to BSV when Craig Wright filed the copyright to the whitepaper of bitcoin, it pumped high. So that is also possible with bitcoin as there will be an unusual excitement because we can finally meet the man behind all of this. The problem is that it might not happen...at least not as soon as we wish it to be.
2028  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Satoshi Created a Telegram group or Channel? on: May 27, 2019, 12:22:47 PM
Telegram didn't exist back then.

The first place it was discussed was the cryptography mailing list which had been going for many years already - https://satoshi.nakamotoinstitute.org/emails/cryptography/

Then it progressed to here - https://sourceforge.net/p/bitcoin/mailman/bitcoin-list/ and then this forum opened - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5.msg28#msg28

I think he used IRC on occasion but did much discussion via email.

So that's it. According to my research, Telegram came into existence around August 2013 so definitely Satoshi Nakamoto could not use one but come to think of it...would he use Telegram if it was already operating back in 2008 or 2009? Maybe yes or maybe no. IRC was very popular years ago and of course we already have the email option in communication so these were two good channels for him.
2029  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is your BITCOIN price prediction this year? on: May 27, 2019, 12:10:49 PM
Let's have a little talk and let's say everyone's mind concerning BITCOIN mooning, can it really beat as of last year price it Hits?
Let me have your thoughts so we know if it's recommended for those Newbies in the market to pick in now or stay off the market?

With the way things are going (like a good deal of positive news especially on adoption of bitcoin by some famous merchants and the overall rosy market sentiment enveloping the whole industry right now), I would not be surprised if at the end of the year we can be nearing $15,000. I can be daring to say that it can go beyond $20,000 but maybe that can be too much. This is assuming that no big negative development can derail the bitcoin train.
2030  Economy / Economics / Re: Surveillance Capitalism, Facebook coin, KYC, crypto on: May 27, 2019, 09:58:15 AM
Are we heading inevitably into a future where crypto is used as a means for big companies to harvest your data for profit?

Data is power and anybody holding that data can easily monetized those data. This is the big lesson I learned when I supported many data-related ICO projects in 2017...sadly many of those project went kaput themselves. Data can be money in the hands of a good merchant and it can also mean power if wield rightly. This is so important to Facebook, Google and other big names in this ever-expanding online industry as what they are pushing are based on data. And of course, data buyers are all over the market especially big businesses and popular merchants (including the many small fishes or players, of course). Are we then entering the time when even cryptocurrency is being utilized harvesting data for profit? Yes, that can be possible but I am still crossing my fingers with the Facebook's GlobalCoin and see what its final infrastructure will be. Let's judge the book when it is already available in bookstore.
2031  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC rise to...? on: May 27, 2019, 09:45:46 AM
All of his The title coins will improve. This is due to the good price of BTC and ETH. So other altcoins follow the hike. I suggest buying now ETH for investment.
ECT is the topic hear but yes investing on ETH right now is good. Anyway, looking at the price of ETC now is still cheap and I don't see any new development with ETC. Maybe this coin is still waiting for the market to pump and later on will follow the trend. I honestly don't investing on any fork coin because I know they will not be more active like its original coin especially if you compare ETH to ETC.
ETC has no utility usage and the current value of ETC is over valued compared with how advantage that we can get from use it. This one is a crap coin. This is a zombie coin, there was no any good development that has already achieved by the team. The team was spreading a lot of promises only. i can't trust this one. You are even seeing that if there was no a good result on the development process.  Roll Eyes

I have at least 5 ETC in my wallet and I just left it there thinking that maybe it can continue to grow over a period of time. However, I find it anemic at its best. I am always looking for any update or new development for this coin but I could not find one. Maybe you are right that this has no more active people behind? I am actually thinking that it would be better to let go of this and convert it into either Eth or Bitcoin.
2032  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Telos Coin on: May 27, 2019, 09:29:14 AM
been following this coin for almost a year now.

many projects are coming to live and finished.

what are your thoughts and opinions about this coin?

teloscoin.org (main site)

kryptobay.eu (marketplace)

peertoro.eu (masternodes services)

cryptomages (card game upcoming)
https://twitter.com/quake_andy/status/1130153656156868608

and many more too many to list.

I'm not quite familiar with Telos coin, but as far as I can see,it's just an EOS fork or something.
I don't know why would someone choose to buy this coin rather than buying  EOS,which is way more established. It's just a forked penny altcoin, that might double or triple it's price due to pump&dump, but it might die and become worthless on the other hand.

Good to see someone like you who can expose the main weaknesses of a coin so that coin buyers can have a balanced view of what they are getting into. I actually see some potential with this coin but that can depends a lot with the devteam if they gonna work hard to exploit the available potential, otherwise this can just be another coin that will soon be left on the yard with no value left inside. Right now, it is easy to bump into a coin that is not essentially offering something new to the marketplace but just a copycat...let's hope that this coin will do everything possible to be a different platform even if it is just a fork. I am wishing TelosCoin the best of things to come.

2033  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / XRP at $5-10 in 9 to 10 Days: Hype? on: May 27, 2019, 09:17:33 AM

I have some XRP hidden somewhere in my wallet and though they are not much they are symbolizing of my vote of trust and confidence on this cryptocurrency (though some are calling it as the false one and centralized at best) because I am seeing a big potential of this coin especially in tandem of big banks and similar financial platforms. But let me clarify that am also a great supporter of Bitcoin and Ethereum.

There is a great future for XRP. However, just like any other cryptos, there are also hypes about it. There are publications touting that soon XRP can be able to reach as high as $10 and in such a short period of time. Should we believe these hypes or should we as usual take them with an abundance of salt?

The fact that Ripple XRP could be the next Bitcoin cannot be ruled considering how XRP is being adopted across the globe and how Ripple accepted to follow regulatory procedure to increase the adoption of the digital asset among governments.

In 2017, XRP was the best performing digital asset, it surprisingly rose by 25,000%, netting an all-time high value of $3.84 USD.

Despite the fact that XRP trades around $0.38, those who invested in the digital asset at the launch have a return on investment of 6,425.76%.

2034  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-24] Lightning App for Sending BTC Tips on Twitter Is Now Easier to use on: May 27, 2019, 09:04:53 AM
Tippin has done a lot to make LN popular, respect for that.

Tippin is definitely cool to play around with, but it seems that this is an application with a shelf life due to Twitter eventually integrating Lightning itself. It would be better if they roll out support for more platforms in order to secure their future, or they just hope that whatever crypto business ends up acquiring them for a big fat stack of coins. I wouldn't mind seeing them roll out support for Reddit, which I spend a lot of time on reading nowadays. Aside from the memes there is a decent bit of productive discussions going on there.

Good to hear that Twitter will soon be integrating Lightning Network with its platform. That can be another good news that we should be excitedly waiting for. Now, if Tippin can offer the same facility in Reddit am sure they can find a big market in there too as discussions on cryptocurrency related matters seem to be ablaze in there. They can also explore other social media sites for possible partnership for this great service.
2035  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Money Illusion on: May 27, 2019, 08:49:53 AM
We know that gold and silver were the real money before we knew fiat/physical money. After fiat was printed in many countries, gold and silver become precious and have a high position in the economy and some people use gold and silver as their investment. But we are now live on the digital era, and we already know that cryptocurrency existed around us, and I think cryptocurrency could be the next currency or the next fiat, but it needs approval from all countries. And with the developing of the technology itself, the print money will extinct and we cannot find the resources, I think the government then will think to solve this, or they could have a serious problem in their country. But mmm that is far away from me because I am not an economist either.

There is no question that in today's modern world, fiat money represents nothing more than a promise and in many instances that promise can easily be broken due to the government's mismanagement and wrong priorities. For me, fiat money equals the government and because no government will ever survived the test of time we can say that the promise has no real value especially viewed in the prism over a period of time. Only gold and silver are able to survive the litmus test of time and usability that is why fiat money should have been tied to them...but bureaucrats think they know better so they print and print more money away from the backing of gold thinking that they can change the course of history and that this time it could be different. Time will tell us that this a very dangerous idea. History will definitely repeat itself because we have never learned it.
2036  Other / Off-topic / Re: Beware of the latest scam in town on: May 27, 2019, 08:33:35 AM

First and foremost, I don't think this is the way to make a post anywhere in this forum. You can just quote a little and then make your own impression and conclusion with this matter. Now, the site which you shared am sure that it is just another scam pretending to be a part of the Binance site but it is not.

2037  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-26] Bitcoin May Be Entering 2-3 Bull Market Now, Morgan Creek CEO Says on: May 27, 2019, 08:23:26 AM
The article is not saying much, it just puts more emphasis on the scarcity that will increase in 2020 when the Halving event takes place. I would have thought that it would have been backed with 3 motivating factors on why the market for Bitcoin would increase, apart from scarcity and the trade wars between the USA and China.  Roll Eyes

One of the major influences is only briefly mentioned and that is the possible entry of institutional capital via investment companies like Fidelity and what significant impact that will have on the price of Bitcoin in the future.  Wink

The impact of the entrance of the so-called institutional money can soon be felt in the bitcoin market and in my opinion this is huge and can even be the main factor for the continuing rise of the price of bitcoin. I am predicting that next year is the year when this part of the market will really boom and explode pushing bitcoin to the "moon".
2038  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Not Yet Legal But Not Banned on: May 27, 2019, 08:01:51 AM
Many countries seem to have a hard time defining and regulating Bitcoin. The current legal framework is not enough to deal with cryptocurrency revolution, thus most countries still have not considered Bitcoin to be an additional legal tender just like the function of their central bank issued fiat money.

However, the Bitcoin revolution is fast reaching the nooks and crannies of many countries all over the world, what with the use of the modern gadgets and the internet. Sooner or later, financial authorities have to come up with the necessary framework with which cryptocurrency can work with.

For now, let us just enjoy the "not yet legal but not banned" status which can anyway fine with me so I can still avoid paying taxes.

My country has this unique cryptocurrency status which is the "legal but not paying taxes". Crypto is widely spread in the country and is also recognized by the Central Bank but until now i dont see any regulations comming from the Bureau of Internal Revenue on how to file taxes for it. I am also enjoying the benefit of it for now.

Well, that is something we have to thanked for. There are many countries in which tax collection system is designed not to be over strict and burdensome with the people. Unlike many advanced countries where tracking can be flawless, some countries are still behind (or maybe have chosen not to upgrade yet their existing platform) so most likely what you voluntarily declare can be the basis of what you might pay. Now, in the case of the Philippines we have to remember that we have the law which dictates that we have to declare any income we realized for the previous year and certainly that includes income from cryptocurrency activities. In the end, we can declare it...or we might not.

2039  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency: Is It Still Alive or Dying? Part 2 on: May 27, 2019, 07:51:27 AM
I don't know what is OP's definition of Dying.  As of now, Bitcoin is thriving!  There are lots of merchants getting attracted to it and financial institutions are beginning to move to the "blockchain technology"  and investment company saw Bitcoin as a profitable venture because of its volatility.  So more and more audience is being attracted by Bitcoin not only in a certain part of the world but rather around the globe.  Even developing country wanted to participate in this revolutionary event.

The title is asking if it is alive or dying and actually not making statement of fact...this is one way to generate eyeballs like a bait for us to check the post. So inside the long post we are enthralled with the many developments both good and sometimes bad concerning bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrency. One of the watershed of this movement is when Japan recognized or legalized bitcoin which opened many avenues for the cryptocurrency market. Right now, the way the market is making good traction in many countries (though many are still not joining the frenzy), we can easily conclude that cryptocurrency is here to stay and will be evolving as years go by. There will be more big players in this industry just like what Facebook just announced. Things are getting exciting and it is good to be a part of the history of this game-changing ecosystem.
2040  Economy / Speculation / Re: Triangle breakout on: May 27, 2019, 06:16:04 AM

Looks like we've started the next wave up. We should have a nice uptrend going for the next week or two. There's still time to jump on board. I think this will go to the $10K area, possibly further. Where do you think this will top out? I'm curious to see what altcoin/BTC pairs do at that point. If BTC starts flowing into alts rather than fiat, it bodes well for a sustained bull market.

Congratulations! I think you made the correct projection as just one day after...bitcoin is now moving towards the $9,000 zone which can mean that maybe days from now if not a week we can see bitcoin already approaching the $10,000 barrier. There is a strong market sentiment that bitcoin is all ready for the next level and I am sure that at this time there are many institutional fund managers eagerly looking how they can enter the bitcoin bandwagon and make some money too.
