2041  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: HODL on: May 27, 2022, 12:01:51 PM
In cases like now - when the market is down a lot and you haven't sold your coins, it's better to forget about them and not to get on your nerves by worrying about them. The coins are in your wallet and won't go anywhere. Do something else and come back to the market when times are good.
Well said. But the worrying thing for me is that investors knowing that they are not HODLers and have refused to trade their assets way before now and after the market has fallen -57.9% from its last ATH of +$69k, is now considering to sell or not is really not a good trader, no disrespect A HODLer wouldn't be worried cos they understand that this is the system and the market will come back but if you are a trader, don't wait till now to consider selling.
I agree. But I don't think professional traders care what the asset price is at the moment. They trade by opening longs or shorts. And if they are unsuccessful in a trade, their stops are triggered. Most of the traders in this market are non-professionals, who often become coin holders because closing a losing trade no longer matters. They are either liquidated if they trade with leverage, or they hold the coins until the end if they are buying it on the spot.

2043  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's your reason for buying altcoins? on: May 26, 2022, 05:38:43 PM
I believe the bitcoin will always stay as the prime crypto currency. The altcoins mostly these days are new projects which are mostly a gamble. Since most of the people believe that buying shit coins at low value in large numbers will help you to earn greater profits if there is major value fluctuations.
However these coin might not survive in long run and investing in these coin in nothing more than a gamble
In principle, I agree with you that almost all altcoins are shitcoins. But if you have patience, you can make money from them. I think bitcoin has much less growth potential than for example DOT or LTC. The bitcoin train left those who wanted to make big profits. But there are other ways left in this wild casino. If you are lucky, you will get good profits.
2044  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price with a 4 year cycle? on: May 26, 2022, 05:00:02 PM
I think the 4-year cycle could be broken now. Bitcoin has only gone up throughout history, we all know that very well and you can see it in the annual price chart. But in the history of bitcoin, it has never experienced a global world crisis, which is where we are now. No one knows what will happen to the price when the crisis really happens. But even at $1k, the blockchain will work just as well as at $30k.
2045  Economy / Speculation / Re: Don’t rush to buy Bitcoin on: May 26, 2022, 03:49:08 PM

Time is the only way that we can distinguish what will happen , Bitcoin shows us for many times now that Bitcoin can climb here and there but of course this happening mostly every 4 years.
and we have seen this that Halving is what dictates the market prices.
Buy today and wait for the next halving, I don't think that was hard for someone who wants to earn more unless holding is hard to do it.
Likely, it was not a question of this is the right time to buy as indeed, it was the best opportunity.  Neither going to ignore the current situation, We can't see this forever as sooner or later pumps may start again without knowing when.
The next halving is still two years away. During this time, anything can happen and the price can fall even more compared to the analogy of previous years. I don't know where the price will go in the near future and even more so in a year or two, but bitcoin is now moving with the world markets and they have all just started to fall, so I think bitcoin price will fall too.
2046  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 26, 2022, 02:08:25 PM
With all the problems that Barcelona at that time facing when Xavi took over the club from Koeman, of course ending the season in second place in La Liga is an extraordinary thing for Barcelona, if Koeman was still coaching Barcelona at this time I think even Barcelona would be outside the top 10 right now, but they were lucky enough when they were down and Xavi come to be a hero who was able to make them rise to what they are today.
We will see next season if Xavi is able to maintain his good performance next season. Next season, several targets may become a big priority for Barcelona, one of which is to win the Laliga Trophy from Real Madrid. Barcelona is now looking for a solid sticker figure for next season. Lewandowski is their target and I think the hopes of the Barcelona fans to see Barcelona go wild in front of goal will come true again if Lewandowski comes to Barcelona.
I think next season will be a success for Barcelona, if even this season they have managed to finish in second place, having risen from the middle of the standings. Now they can compete with Real Madrid again and create intrigue. All the more so if they get a powerful forward like Robert Lewandowski.
2047  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 26, 2022, 07:00:08 AM
Not the most interesting match, to be honest. I thought Feyenoord would have been able to draw the score because they looked more interesting than Roma, but Roma have Mourinho as coach for a reason. The task of scoring a goal and defending the rest of the game was done very well.
2048  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin's price stabilize someday? on: May 25, 2022, 12:02:11 PM
Bitcoin will only become stable when it becomes a globally recognised currency. For that to happen, it needs to become the number 1 main currency, which is simply to replace the dollar. For that to happen, all countries need to switch to bitcoin. I think that will never happen and it remains a speculative asset forever, like gold or stocks.
2049  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa Conference League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 25, 2022, 07:52:19 AM
Jose Mourinho could become the first coach to win all European cups, including the UEFA Champions League, the UEFA Europa League and now the UEFA Conference League. Although Roma and Feyenoord's head-to-head stats are on Roma's side, I don't think it means much. Both teams are in good form and have the best strikers in this Conference League. I think the chances of winning are about the same.
2050  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Final! on: May 24, 2022, 06:28:05 PM
The last time Real Madrid lost in the champions league final was in the season 1980-1981. They’ve won all their last seven champions league final appearances. The last time time they lost the final in the year 1980-1981 was with Liverpool. Liverpool utilized the only opportunity in that match to score and triumph as Madrid fans has it said. Here comes another great final between these two teams. Will history repeat itself this weekend!!
Interesting statistics. I hadn't heard before that Real Madrid were the last ones to lose in the final to Liverpool. I was thinking more of their last meeting in the final a few years ago when Real Madrid won. This time Liverpool have a good chance to win back and repeat their luck 1981. Only it will be very difficult.
2051  Economy / Speculation / Re: First In Bitcoin History (or did it ever happen?) on: May 24, 2022, 11:23:42 AM
Now a lot of people talk about these red weeks, but if you switch the timeframe to monthly you will see that historically this has happened many times before. There are now only 2 red month candles in a row, although historically there have been more, even quite recently. So I don't think it says anything, except that we have a downtrend.
2052  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽UEFA Europa League Discussion Thread -- 2021/22 Winners: Eintracht Frankfurt! on: May 24, 2022, 07:51:36 AM
Winning the European league is s good achievement that alot of other clubs un Frankfurt level try really hard to achieve, alot of clubs with the same level can't even reach the sumi finale and when you see the clubs that wad competing in the quarter final you really wonder how Frankfurt get the title and not Barcelona, liepzig or atalanta

I always doubted that Barcelona would be able to reach the final. For two reasons: first, this competition is not at the level of this great club, it is difficult to motivate the team to compete in this competition. Second, this season was very bad for Barcelona, perhaps the worst season they've had in the last 15 years, so any better prepared opponent had a chance of winning.
I partly agree with you that Barcelona's season has been a failure, but I guess you can only say that about the start of the season. After Xavi took over as coach, things improved considerably that they were able to finish the season in second place in La Liga, even though they were in the middle of the standings for a long time. Let's see how they perform next season in the Champions League.
2053  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin & US stock markets on: May 23, 2022, 04:51:09 PM
Bitcoin has long begun to correlate with the stock markets, especially when there is a fall. You can probably score those times when the cryptocurrency market lived by different rules. Now the big guys, the funds, the corporations have come in. ETFs have appeared on the stock exchanges. I don't know where all this is going, but I guess the best times are coming to an end.
2054  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How good is staking coins? on: May 23, 2022, 03:16:04 PM
It depends on the conditions and what coins you want to stake. Talking about dogecoin, for the future I think dogecoin already has the potential to change itself from a meme concept to a utility, of course that means it is very good to hold. Well, here is the benefit of staking, when we hold large amounts of coins for a long time, the staking feature is useful for developing it with a platform that already has interest rates in it, it's just a matter of how we believe in Dogecoin or want to take passive income from staking only.
You are correct in saying that staking is good for those who have a lot of coins, because the percentage of staking in that case is very good. But for those who have few coins, the process is unprofitable, because the price of the asset drops because those who have a lot of coins sell their rewards. I would not hope that such small rewards will ever be worth much. Most likely on the contrary, the price of such coins will be even cheaper.
2055  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling Session That Lingers On Or Keep Staying On your Mind on: May 23, 2022, 09:14:14 AM
It seems to me that if you are having these thoughts or even losing healthy sleep, it is a sign of poor mental health. Simply put, it's probably a gambling addiction. I would refrain from gambling for as long as possible. Try to find something else to do, read a book or watch a TV serials. Addiction is a huge problem that can make life a living hell.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2020/21 on: May 23, 2022, 07:52:24 AM
Villarreal did manage to qualify for the Conference League, but they have not done so well in La Liga this season. They were left without Europa League and Champions League, although they did well to reach the semi-finals this year. So now they have a whole year to get back into the European leagues. Maybe they can even win the Conference League.
2057  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin a safe haven??? on: May 22, 2022, 08:12:03 AM
Bitcoin is definitely a means of saving and a safe haven for your funds if you can afford to forget about it for a long time. Throughout its history, bitcoin has yet to disappoint its long-term investors. And if you suddenly need to buy a new macbook or change the engine in your car with your bitcoin investment, believe me, it will happen at the most inopportune moment.

Bitcoin has been and already proven to be trusted as an investment throughout the times since it came to the market over a decade ago despite its volatility factor, big thanks to the Founder, SN! Moreover, investing in bitcoin will give you a hedge against inflation and that same investment will always increase throughout time because there's also a halving phenomenon every 4 years.
By the way, I read an interesting thought today that bitcoin is no longer the asset we are used to and what it used to be. It is now as speculative an asset as the S&P or NASDAQ, for example. There are now many funds and large speculators, and there are various ETFs. If bitcoin used to disobey market movements, now it completely copies them, you can see it yourself by comparing the charts. But I still believe in a good future for bitcoin.
2058  Economy / Speculation / Re: Reason why I put all my money in Bitcoin as a newbie on: May 21, 2022, 04:37:11 PM
Stories like this, when people go all in, usually end badly. It is probably the biggest mistake in investing - keeping your eggs in one basket. You should definitely have risk diversification and free funds to buy bitcoin if the price goes down. It will be very painful to watch the price go down for a long time if things go wrong. And when you have free funds, you can just buy more coins. Then when the trend reverses, you will make more profit.
2059  Economy / Speculation / Re: Was $25K the bottom? on: May 21, 2022, 03:04:36 PM
You have to understand that there is no drop without a bounce. So there may well be a point where bitcoin will bounce back from the bottom as the price has been falling for a long time. But that does not mean that there will not be a new bottom in the future. I think this bearish phase has just begun, as it did in 2018, when bitcoin traded at 6k for a long time and then fell to 3k. Perhaps this scenario will happen again soon, only in a different price range.
2060  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC Holding or Using ? on: May 21, 2022, 07:23:23 AM
I think most people hold bitcoin for eventual profit, which is measured in fiat money. That's why they don't buy some things using bitcoin. In fact, as long as it is possible to pay with money, for many people it is convenient and there is no need to pay with cryptocurrency. As soon as it becomes difficult to pay with money, such as sanctions, people use crypto.
