1561  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Ethereum keep its leadership in the crypto smart contract industry? on: November 24, 2022, 07:56:14 PM
The Ethereum blockchain is currently the most used blockchain when it comes to Smart contract, NFT and Metaverse development. It achieved its leadership while it was still a decentralized network.

Unfortunately, right after the merge, Ethereum lost its decentralized feature and is now one of the most centralized cryptocurrency projects in the industry.

Given that we're going through a debate opposing Centralized vs Decentralized, do you think that Ethereum will still keep ahead of the competition? Aren't there a lot of chances of Ethereum being overcome by an alternative decentralized network?

What is your take on this matter?
I don't think anyone is thinking about centralisation or decentralisation except us. People are dictated the rules of censorship and they have to abide by them. Yes, Ethereum is the most popular blockchain and I think it will be for a long time. There are big funds and huge money behind ETH, so users don't decide anything here.

Just a few minutes left for the match between Portugal and Ghana. If you look at the match performance, currently Ghana is better than Portugal, in the last five matches, Ghana has lost only one while Portugal has lost two.  Even then, if you look at the ranking, Portugal's position is good.  Now let's see if Cristiano Ronaldo can do something good for Portugal with the flash of his feet. I am taking Portugal for my betting.
Both teams' last matches were friendlies and had no significance, although Portugal lost to Switzerland and Ghana won. But I don't think you can judge the strength of the teams by these matches. Portugal's squad is much more titled than Ghana's. But of course, we have already seen Argentina and Germany lose, so I don't know who will win now.

It looks to me group f will be easiest to bet on. Croatia was determined to not lose the match so not exactly they got what they wanted. But as we see Belgium already leads it, I think Croatia will take more risks against Canada and I think they will finish this group very likely in 2nd place. This is my expectation. I don't think Morocco and Canada will have chance in this group, it will end without any surprises.

Never say never but Canada played really good the first half against Belgium and in the end they deserved more than this loss. Didn't see Croatia play against Morocco but saw some highlights and read some match reports and nobody was also impressed with how Croatia played.
Indeed Canada really played well, the are very organized team and if they had quality in the front they would have scored a goal, the match shows that Belgium is not so a very good team and the world class generation of world class players are fading away, suprise to see Jan vantoughen and Alderwierd are still playing at the back, Batshayi is too average despite him scoring, hazard is a shadow of himself, for me the stand out players are Kevin debruyne and courtous the goal keeper and the rising star that plays for Brighton Trosard.
Probably not such a good team as Germany or Argentina, who lost to outsiders and Belgium beat a strong opponent. It seems to me that after win, you don't judge the winner. So now I see four good teams, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands and France, confirming that they are the favourites. Very interesting to see how Brazil will do today.
1564  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: November 23, 2022, 05:36:53 PM
The World Cup break will make many clubs have to prepare to return to the league, the Scudetto race will heat up and feel tough, AC Milan, Lazio and Juventus are the closest competitors to Napoli.

I think we shouldn't write off Inter in this title race. Technically all of these teams are far away from Napoli at the moment. But if we talk about which one of them can end the season at the second position in case of not being able to catch up with Napoli then I can add Inter also among the biggest favourites. There is already a very close gap among Milan, Juventus, Lazio and Inter now.

Inter are better than them in offense right now. Because they have scored 34 goals and it is nearly the same as Napoli's amount. Inter's main issue is with their defense. 22 goals are just too many to concede. Maybe they have some plans about fixing the problems there. One of the ways might be to make new signings for the defense line. Or Inzaghi might make some changes in his defensive strategies. They had better do this immediately as of the upcoming league matches.
Maybe Inter should not be written off, but their competition is very serious. Roma and Atalanta are not far behind. But absolutely all the clubs, including Lazio, Juventus and Milan are about equally far behind Napoli. I think Napoli will be out of competition this season.
1565  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 23, 2022, 02:42:39 PM
Oh, that tweet. It's not even that optimistic. He said it's going to be a long winter.
In short, he also doesn't know when the BTC price will go up again, just like every BTC investor has no idea when.

Let's not base every crypto pump and dump on him, that's the worst kind of strategy that I have heard. IMO, if that's the case then I am better off looking at market predictors and speculators, maybe they can guess better than one man making Twitter his diary.
He got lucky he pulled lots of investors from his hype last time, now I doubt it will be repeated.
I think Elon Musk did say the obvious thing about the long winter. That is, nothing new for those people who have been in a bear phase for a year now. I also don't think it's worth paying attention to his tweets. Because of his manipulation of the market in the past, many people have lost confidence in him. I wouldn't be surprised if now, after buying Twitter, he's back to his old ways.
1566  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 23, 2022, 02:13:26 PM
As the statistics of recent games show, the Germany against Japan match maybe a real surprise, because no one would have guessed that Argentina would lose. We are still talking about the unknown Asian football and about the unknowns of how the real samurai might play. Anyway, I think Germany will have no problem to win this game although after yesterday's games you cannot be 100% sure.
There were already enough surprises at this World Cup, it's time to win with the favorites. Germany completely dominated in the first half, I'm surprised that Germany scored only one goal. Japan did not make a single shot against Germany. At the beginning of the second half, nothing changes. Germany dominates further and is likely to win this match. The Croatians surprised with a draw, but they played poorly, so the result is natural.
I didn't think Croatia played badly but Morocco played well. Especially as they had the same stats for the game. In this game, I thought Morocco could have won but Croatia got lucky. I wonder how Belgium will play against Canada and who will take the lead in the standings. I think the second match from this group is also hard to guess.
1567  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 23, 2022, 12:59:43 PM
Game about to end and still score is 0:0 ,seems like this is going to be a draw . Both teams are playing aggressively and they both got many chances to score but failed in that.
It seems as if the extra time brought with it some sort of energy. Morrocco began dogged in the final time. Chances were at either end of the field. Glad it ended in a goalless draw. I really needed Morrocco to be aggressive in the second half but sadly, it was lacking. Above all, it was a fair game and tightly contested. Looking forward to Germany and Japan's game.
I missed the second-half match between Croatia and Morocco and when I saw the final score was still level. But for the match between Germany and Japan, it might be very tense for us to watch or at least place some bets for this match. Will Japan performance be enough to overwhelm Germany, in the several matches that have taken place the superior national team has always experienced many obstacles such as Argentina which made many bets to lose so much money.

The defending World Cup champions, the French, begin their campaign against Australia. France is a big favorite in this match because of its roster - although it is missing many key players. Benzema, Kante, Pogba and Nkunku, as well as goalkeeper Maignan, are among those who are not playing.

But perhaps another big surprise is in store for us today - Australia scored early on, in the 9th minute!

France 0-1 Australia
9' Goodwin
my fear seems to be happening. I don't expect any surprises in this fight. but in reality Australia even surprised me with their first 1 goal. at least the game is still in the 24th minute. so there is still hope for France to equalize the score. but the australian counterattacks have done real harm i think.
Today was a day of surprises. First Argentina lost to Saudi Arabia, then Denmark drew with Tunisia, but there were fewer surprises here. Now France are playing a draw with Australia for now. But I think France have a chance of success in this match.
1569  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 22, 2022, 02:00:07 PM
I think Denmark's match against Tunisia could be just like Argentina's game. Tunisia looks much better than Denmark right now and has better statistics. Although the favourites for the game are Denmark. Same thing we saw when Saudi Arabia beat Argentina, but Argentina were still favourites to win.
1570  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 22, 2022, 11:25:04 AM
Argentina 1 VS 2 Saudi Arabia
What a game for Saudi arabia team and for a moment you think the players in green shirt are the Argentina, this is the first surprise of the event to see such a performance from a very low expected team in the group to play like this. The second goal is very impressive and Argentina should really change the way they playing or will lose the match. In the meanwhile I'm putting more money on Argentina to win this strong match
So much for the title favourites. I was very surprised that Saudi Arabia were able to score two goals after half-time. I had no doubt that Argentina would win easily and that Leonel Messi would score in this game. But so far only the latter has come true. I am no longer confident of a win for Argentina.
1571  Economy / Speculation / Re: Cold storage ALL your crypto or withdraw fiat into your bank account NOW!!! on: November 22, 2022, 10:14:01 AM
The dependecy of CEX will never fade away. No matter how things screed people will use CEX again. How people can resist so much service getting from one place. Its human nature that they wants everything in a easy way and secure way. It's also human nature that they forget their past experience very quickly. So just stop panicking and be more focused on the market.

The heavy dependancy of CEXs will exist as long as fiat currencies exist — which is, pretty much forever. Our only hope is that hopefully the reliance on CEXs will decrease significantly as Bitcoin/crypto adoption growns in the long-term.
I think that as crypto becomes more popular, the popularity of cex will grow. After all, you can exchange any coins there without any commission and use fiat money. For the user, it does not really matter whether it is dex or cex. For him the main thing is convenience. And dex is still very far behind. Especially when the cunning Binance is the monopoly in the industry.
1572  Economy / Speculation / Re: Crypto dump is just getting started? on: November 21, 2022, 07:44:25 PM
This week we’ll likely find out if Genesis is going to fail or if they’ll be able to raise a billion dollars and make their lenders whole. If they can’t, it’s another big loss for crypto users and the market price will likely reflect that. We may also get more news on GBTC and if they did something dumb with their coins and are now leaving investors high and dry. Volatility is likely incoming soon so strap on your seatbelts and stick to your plans.
This week has already started with a fall due to the news you described. I also think that as soon as there is some clarity, the market will react with more negativity. But in addition to Genesis there are other rumours about different exchanges. In general I think the fall will continue. Although some coins such as LTC or XMR feel fine.
And so I was ready already to hold and buy more if I have spare money. Yes, it is indeed the negative influence of FTX that has been spreading and continue to change the mindset of investors. Though I wasn't worried about the incoming dump, however, I was not also happy to see people get in a panic situation because of that issue. It is really disappointing to see big exchanges get into the problem for they will certainly give a huge market impact and causes panic selling. And I see this bear market will stay longer, might some coins will tried to pump, yet it was just short pump and it drops back again.
It didn't actually start with FTX but with TERRA LUNA and has a domino effect. Now all the news sources are talking about possible bankruptcies, e.g. crypto.com or Genesis. It is logical to assume that investors are feeling panic and fear. And things are probably only going to get worse. Another bad sign is that the cryptocurrency market is falling in the face of a rising stock market.
1573  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 21, 2022, 02:39:58 PM
There's no telling how much bitcoin will be worth by the end of 2022 which is only about six weeks away, and the best you can do is buy and hold until you hit a sell price.
and there is a possibility that the price you mentioned proves or could even be lower and may also not reach that price, and for me this is my opportunity to grow my bitcoins and buy them gradually during the downturn.
and I also don't mind the decline factor that has occurred, because the decline that has occurred in bitcoin has occurred many times with various factors which in the end the price of bitcoin has returned to rise and even exceeded its highest price.
Yes, the best strategy is to buy partly. Especially if there is spare cash every month, you can make good profits in the future with such purchases. As for 13500, we are now close to that mark. I think that if such a price happens, we should make the most of this opportunity.
1574  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 21, 2022, 02:07:37 PM
Iran are not a strong team, so no one is surprised that England are confident of winning from the first half. Iran can probably be compared to Qatar who played against Uruguay in yesterday's game. It will be interesting to see how England play against a stronger team. But England are lucky and there are no such teams in their group. So for England, the tough games will start at the play-off stage.

1576  Economy / Speculation / Re: Hacker of FTX dumping ETH for BTC on: November 20, 2022, 07:18:01 PM
From what I understand. 1/3 of the assets were stolen the rest went to the government.

This is pretty accurate considering the government would dump low illiquid tokens with huge slippage and why would DAI be bought instead of just leaving the assets as is.

There is 200MM left to be dumped so be on alert because if it’s dumped during a weekend we will go below $1000 ETH for sure.
It's a very strange coincidence. How is it possible that 1/3 was stolen and the rest went to the government? So the theft of funds happened at the same time as the hacker attack? I thought people stopped believing in hacking a long time ago. And one more point - why is the government exchanging these assets? I thought they had no right to exchange cryptocurrency.
1577  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will CBDCs will impact Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2022, 08:39:29 AM
Not much. CBDCs are still fiat currencies that are made digital. They're not much different from the fiat that we use through fiat online wallets. It's just that there's no more hard cash representing them. They remain centralized because they're still issued by governments' central banks. They are still subject to the same inflationary mechanism. They're still continuously devalued. They're still under the control and decision of a few powerful individuals. The disadvantage, however, is that they're more easily tracked, monitored, frozen, seized, confiscated.

The point is it doesn't actually compete against Bitcoin.
CBDC does not compete with bitcoin as long as there is fiat and digital money. Once this type of money ceases to exist and banks switch to CBDC only, cryptocurrencies will immediately become illegal. I don't think it will happen soon, but when it does, we will be facing a digital concentration camp with social ratings and lack of freedom. In China, this is already an accepted practice.

A lot of people on social media are placing bets on Qatar to score in first half and this is just because of the leaks of how Qatar tried and I think they are still trying to bribe 5 Ecuador players to trow the game in first half. If this happens , I don't care in what circumstances , then I will turn off my TV and not watch a single game until the WC ends. However, I do hope that we will have a clean game and FIFA this time they finally took some action and they are keeping an eye on first game. Angry
I don't know if Qatar can score in the first half, but I think they have a good opportunity to beat Ecuador in this game. But judging by the statistics of the last five games where Ecuador haven't conceded a goal, I wouldn't bet on this match. Ecuador is not a weak team and if they don't win, they could easily draw.
1579  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar - UEFA Qualifiers on: November 18, 2022, 12:37:16 PM

That's right. I don't know how anyone can think that Messi won't be playing in the starting lineup for Argentina. He is their best player, but fortunately for them, other players are pretty good too. Besides, Messi is not a player who's only strength is scoring goals. He is also one of the best playmakers in the world. So he doesn't need to score a lot of goals for his team to be indispensable for them.
Apart from being a good striker, a team needs a leader on the field to win, I think Messi is very good for this role, he is an experienced player who can lead the team. I have no doubts that Messi will be in the starting line up of the Agrnegtina team, he is an excellent playmaker and striker, there are not so many players of this class in the whole world to have such a luxury and leave him on the bench.
I have no doubt that he will play in the starting line-up, but in the first game against Saudi Arabia, Argentina can win without Messi. So if he has any problems or injuries, the coach may give him time before the games against Mexico and Poland. They are two strong opponents in the group and his help will definitely be needed.

Galaxy Digital also have over 70 million dollars tied to FTX Exchange, they are now withdrawing 47m $ and already at a loss of 68m $, I think we will keep seeing some more dips.

Is this all planned work or just the brutal of a bear market because it seems that in every bear market worst things like this always happens.

Now I have no choice but to believe that 10,000$ BTC is possible.

News Link below

http://coindesk.com/business/2022/11/09/crypto-finance-firm-galaxy-digital-reveals-768m-exposure-linked-to-ftx
Any scenario is possible, not just 10,000$ BTC. Of course, I'm talking about the negative scenario. In the current situation in the  crypto industry, only a market decline is foreseen. Even more. Moreover, it is still very early for the start of a bullish trend and troubles with FTX Exchange are pushing for the continuation of the bearish trend. This will last more than one week and more than one month. Perhaps, by the next halving, the situation will stabilize and a slow and small growth will begin. In the meantime, we are determined that everything will be bad for a long time, in terms of prices for sale btc and the general mood, but it is good for profitable purchases of BTC.
Why do you think it's too early in the bull run? I too think a real bull run will happen in a few years and that this is a nightmare time for cryptocurrency. But since you and I have similar thoughts, as do many on this forum, then we are more likely to be wrong. The market is more often than not irrational and moves in the opposite direction from the crowd's expectations. It could be that all the fud associated with FTX will disappear and then good times will happen.
