1301  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price 2023 on: February 02, 2023, 11:25:43 AM
2023 makes me optimistic, the increase has been more than 40% when compared to the last price in 2022, maybe there could be another correction but I'm sure it won't be like what happened before because of the big cases namely LUNA and FTX, but I won't be too easy on this tempted to sell immediately, I still remember that the highest price I ever bought in 2021 was over $55k and I want to be profitable again in 2023.
In 2022 I suffered a lot of big losses from many places. I first got big losses from Luna. But after a few months I forgot about them I got another big hit from FTX and now I am very sad.  For bitcoin price increase I think if bitcoin price increase I can recover all my losses. I don't believe in anything but bitcoin now.
Then from here you should learn one thing and that is to trust bitcoin completely and just ignore the fact of gaining high from shitcoins .
LUNA had been in the scene for such a time and tries for full many investors as it can but what happened? same as FTX that you said?
now you learn your lesson and move on. bitcoin to trust and only bitcoin , just try hitting some good altcoins like Ethereum.
Right. Altcoins cannot be trusted, but time-tested coins can be chosen. Monero or Litecoin, for example. Investing in these is just as profitable as investing in bitcoin. There is the same minimal risk that you will lose all your money. But investing in cryptocurrencies is still a big risk, especially for those who are new here.
1302  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: February 02, 2023, 09:03:50 AM
Barcelona again won 3 points after beating the host Real Betis with a score of 1-2. Lewandowski's return to the starting line-up made Barcelona's game dominate this match. Lewandowski also scored 1 goal in this match and at the same time closed the victory for Barcelona. Even though there was an own goal from Kounde in 90+5 minutes, it seems that this cannot change the outcome of this match. With this, Barcelona continues to widen its distance from Real Madrid on the standings.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid will host against Valencia today. Real Madrid must win this game if they don't want to fall even further from Barcelona on the current standings. I hope that Ancelotti can provide a good strategy and that every opportunity that is available can be put to good use by the Los Blancos players.
Real Madrid really need a win against Valencia because Barcelona beat Betis yesterday and are 3 points further away from Real. But I think Valencia, who are at the bottom of the standings, will not be a difficult task for Real Madrid and they can get closer to Barcelona. Valencia are playing very poorly and losing even to weaker teams. Real Madrid are no match for them.

Valencia is going through a very difficult time. Their current position in the league is not a place they deserve. That's why they want to recover as soon as possible, but it will be very difficult for this match. Real Madrid is a team that closely follows the summit and if they do not win this match, Barcelona will take the lead in the league by far. I don't think they will accept that Barcelona is this far ahead, so they will load this match with all their strength and win.
Last year, Valencia also finished the season in the middle of the standings. I can't remember when they played in any European cups anymore. They must be doing really badly, because the team name is famous and everyone knows about Valencia, but their results are poor. If they play like they are now, they could end up in the relegation zone.

1304  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: February 01, 2023, 02:38:53 PM

Even playing away, PSG is still favorite to win maybe because Montpeller's performance is not better away from PSG, they have 6 lost from 10 matches. but, when we look at statistic, PSG also call into doubt getting the win because some core player like Verrati and Mukiele were absent, we still have Messi, Mbappe and Neymar in front, they are will make surprise at least 2 different goals if have good coordination.
Even though I stumbled in a few previous matches, I'm sure PSG will win this match. Monpellier is not a difficult opponent and that can be put to good use by PSG to win. But again, I hope that Mbappe, Messi and Neymar can perform optimally in this match and score goals as usual.
Of course Montpellier should be easy points for PSG. You could say Montpellier are currently on the verge of the relegation zone and they are hugely motivated for this game. But PSG are not the club to give up this win. Especially as PSG have a real rival in the league and they can't afford to lose those points.
1305  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bye Bye Bear Market :) on: February 01, 2023, 12:48:50 PM
I won't hastily say we're out of the woods right now even with all the rally going on with Bitcoin price. I think it's too early to preempt the market. The breakout in the weekly chart OP put out here could also retrace and then wipe out accords with high leverage (for those on Futures trade) as it's quite expected for price to retest its breakout position before moving on. It's a given that Bitcoin will do well this year but I expect that to come up in the last quarters of this year, not now. What I see now is that the party seems to have started too early and that's a bull trap if you asked me.
I also think it's too early to say that we have entered a bull run phase, but there are actually a lot of signs of that. Bitcoin, for example, has been rising for over a month. Some of the altcoins have already shown great growth. Some are near resistance and should start to show growth soon as well. So we do have signs of a new rally.
1306  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think Bottom is gone on: February 01, 2023, 09:00:29 AM
The reason that the collapse of Luna, FTX etc was severe on the market was because the market was already in a very big deep and bleeding, this made it in such a way that any little shake or news will impact the market.
Assuming the bitcoin price was about $30k and above the impact of the exchanges failures wouldn't have pulled the market down to $16k.
If the market anchors very well on the bull trend, it will be able to withstand every negative news to a bearable extent.
But on the other hand when there is good news as well it feels impactful not because we know that the bulls are now getting triggered when the FED said the inflation rate was declared lower for the sixth month in a row which leaves us now in a pretty comfortable zone past 2 resistance at $19k and $21k.
Apart from anything, it is clearly profitable because indeed, looking at the current conditions, many even say this could be the start of bullishness, even though all possibilities are still there.
Bitcoin reacts to outside things to much that it is hard to predict if we are going to see a recovery or if something else will come up that pushes it back down. That is one of the biggest problems for people looking to use btc exclusively because overnight they could be looking at their savings dropping $1000s of dollars. The opposite is true to though.
I think the bitcoin recovery has already started. In case you haven't noticed, it's been rising for a month now. The main thing at this point is that there are no sharp pumps. Everything is growing smoothly, without many people even noticing. As already said, bitcoin is now in the resistance area. If this is broken, it will continue to rise.
1307  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Good news for APT? on: January 31, 2023, 02:50:20 PM

Yes, aptos made a lot of noise because it rose so much when the rest of the market was falling. But that is easily explained. Most of the coins are held by a small number of people, and there is not much supply on the market. So once the holders sell their coins, the price will be the same as the rest.
We have to be weary of any coin that have a sharp pump and much noise, there are high likelihood that their will not last long in sustaining their price and market volume, this have been the characteristic of most altcoins in the market and as we can see from a few of those that have collapse in their price after pumping high in their price.
-What we should look out for from altcion as an investment is the user case of the coin and what utility service they provide in real life.
-what the liquidity of the coin is and how to have their track records of previous market behaviour.
I thought all altcoins were useless trash and not useful in this world. Well maybe except for some coins like ETH or XMR. Many people call Aptos the new Solana, but sol turned out to be just as worthless as old projects like EOS. So the point of altcoins is to hype and pump. I think the fate of Aptos will be exactly the same as that of many other shitcoins.
1308  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 12,000 in 2023. on: January 31, 2023, 01:02:10 PM
What do you guys think about the possibility that bitcoin will crash down below 20k again before going beyond 24k?

The possibility shouldn’t be guessed, rather it should be calculated and well estimated. But currently if we see the price, then it’s very hard for Bitcoins to fall below the price point of 20k usd, at least for now. I don’t know about the later part of 2022, but currently Bitcoins are very strong indicating that it will go up. Moreover the price also depends on the demand of the coin. If you see currently then the demand is really good, so this is a great sign that the price will increase in near future. Let’s hope for the best.
It seems to me that bitcoin is in bad demand right now. You can see that in the volume of purchases. It looks more like a dead cat bounce to me. I don't know if we will see 12k for bitcoin, but the price could easily fall again. So far, nothing has changed positively in the world and inflation has not gone anywhere.
1309  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 31, 2023, 10:26:51 AM
There is no doubt that Real Madrid will beat Liverpool, perhaps even in two games. Liverpool are a completely different team now than the one Real played in the final a year ago. Liverpool are performing very badly in England and Klopp cannot do anything about it. I also think the club management will be thinking about changing the coach soon.
The performance of Liverpool in EPL has become the main measurement for people to determine that whether Liverpool has a chance to win against real madrid or not. Real madrid's performance is far better compared with Liverpool in term of consistency of club in the their own local league. Liverpool is struggling with its performance even though some new players have been joining with the club. Jurgen Klopp may be sacked once Liverpool will still get bad results in EPL. Madrid is also having the same problem as Liverpool but it's not as bad as Liverpool which was still in the middle of standing in EPL now.
I don't think it matters what part of the standings a club is in. Those are different leagues. Just objectively, comparing Real Madrid and Liverpool matches, it is clear that Real look much more prepared and stronger than Liverpool. I don't know how the game in England will end, but in Madrid it will definitely be a rout of Liverpool.
1310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: January 31, 2023, 08:11:19 AM
All possibilities are still going to happen in this case but on the other hand we also have to be realistic in the pre-match this time especially since we have statistics and match history.
The advantage for them is indeed for the first leg to play at Anfield but this is not a guarantee for them to win either of course because they really have to be wary of Madrid who seem to know what to do by defending and counterattacking quickly like in the previous final.
The UEFA Champion League is the only tournament targeted to be able to get positive results apart from the English Premier League because several tournaments have been eliminated such as the FA Emirates Cup which has failed to advance to the next round because of a 2-1 score defeated by Brighton.
However, against Real Madrid is not an easy job but the hope that Liverpool can beat them has not disappeared from us considering the position in the PL standings to be able to play in the UCL next season is very tight competition.
At least during leg 1 at Anfield, Liverpool will try to score more than 2 goals as capital to play in leg 2.

Liverpool's position is not good now. They are also dropping points against weaker teams in the Premier League. Still they have a strong squad and strong attack. Liverpool is capable of fighting against big teams. However, considering the current performances of the two teams, Real Madrid will be ahead. Coach Ancelotti is very experienced. He knows very well how to strategize matches in a competitive league like the Champions League.

I believe that Klopp also knows that defeat in the champions league matches will mean that he’ll probably be sacked, hence Liverpool player’s will have to fight to save his job. However I feel that they’ll not be able to stop Real Madrid, because this Liverpool side is weak and clearly devoid of confidence hence I’m pretty sure that Real Madrid will win against them.
1311  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: January 30, 2023, 06:48:37 PM
The actual bull run hasn't happened yet, but I also agree that this is not a trap, it's a normal market movement. Bitcoin can neither fall forever nor rise forever, it is always in motion, and that is what is happening. Regardless if it's a trap or not, but with the price increase, congratulations to those who believed and bought bitcoin for $16k.
Now Bitcoin is starting to correct again after yesterday it had increased and is approaching the $24K price range, but those who had bought Bitcoin at the $16K price range are still very lucky if they sell now because the Bitcoin price is still above $23K now and this is clearly not a trap or the like. But what is happening now is a normal thing that happens very often in the market every year, except last year where Bitcoin has decreased more than increased.
I don't see a correction because when I look at the price, it was still $23k the same with yesterday. Maybe what happened is just a tiny decline. It's not bothering at all but can be good for those who are into short-term trading/investing. If they can utilize even the tiniest dip then they can also pull out some profits.

When someone buys at the dip and then sell when the price rises for profits, I don't consider that as a luck but that happens for a reason. Luck is something unexpected to happen and mostly felt when we are playing a gambling inside a casino. An increase that we felt lately, isn't something that occurs often and that is why many are eager to take advantage of it by selling.
Trade is really like gambling now. Bitcoin has been rising suddenly since the beginning of the year. Some coins, like aptos, are also pumping up. After such a prolonged fall, any rise seems strange. But what alarms me is that there is no volume right now during the rise. This could be indicative of a bull trap.
1312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Europa League 2022/23 Season on: January 30, 2023, 06:06:51 PM
The match between these two teams might not be an easy match but amongst the two Barcelona is the most favourite to winning the game, except for some surprises that comes with football.

United is also not a weak team at the moment. they've been trying to get better after Ronaldo's departure. although in terms of satisfaction maybe Ten Hag is not so satisfied with his current squad at United. he is still looking for a reliable striker to put in the opponent's defense. until now United has not got it.
and the match against Barcelona, maybe it won't be easy. and matches like this are precisely what will be very difficult to predict.
both can win the fight. I also still doubt whether Barca will be more dominant.
Yes, Manchester United is really good right now. But it seems to me that on the contrary, they have been playing better since Ronaldo left the club. But Barcelona is also in the best shape now, ranked number one in Spain and I think the games between Barcelona and Manchester United will be very interesting and unpredictable.
1313  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 30, 2023, 02:15:38 PM
This 1 point is very important for Real Sociedad because Real Madrid is ahead of them in the league.  Had they lost 3 points, there would have been a difference of 6 points between them and the 3 points Real would have won.  At least with this result, the difference in points between them remained the same.  If you can't win, you won't lose.  Real Sociedad has achieved this.  Barcelona was most pleased with this draw.

a draw as I expected, but a goalless finish, that's not what I expected. I thought it would be a draw but with 1 or 2 goals for both.
However, Madrid's dominance in the game cannot make Sociedad just give up. although under pressure they also look very tough on their defense.
Madrid with their best squad, with a scary front line. but Sociedad was able to hold off 20 shots from Madrid.
I also expected a lot of goals to be scored, but the match was very important and no one should have made a mistake. Had Madrid lost, they would have fallen even further behind Barcelona and would have had the same number of points as Real Sociedad. The lack of goals is probably a sign that both teams played very well.
1314  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: It is ok to sell your Bitcoin. on: January 30, 2023, 01:08:45 PM
I agree. I don't like it when people treat bitcoin as a religion and lose all their money. Just treat bitcoin as a good asset and I think you will see better profits.

Bitcoin is money, that's it.

Not sure why people want to make it something more than what it is. It's a better form of money, but it's still money nonetheless.

Imagine someone writing in a forum that it is OK to spend your money. It makes no sense, of course it's OK to spend your money.

It's also wise to save some money for the future, same with Bitcoin. It's just money, but better.
If you had more knowledge than you have on this forum, you could easily increase your "money". I don't consider bitcoin to be just money, it's also a good means of saving. So to answer the question of whether bitcoin is good to sell or not, my answer is that it depends on the timing of the sale.
1315  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Banks and MainStream on: January 29, 2023, 08:05:36 PM
-cut-
I also think that the current cryptocurrency may be less in demand after banks create and start using CBDC.

I don't think you understand how different other cryptocurrencies are from CBDC. Sure, people can use that to send money, but it's not like it would be store of value. CBDC is just fiat money in a new form. It will be better and cheaper form but people won't be buying it like gold and speculating the value would rise. And depending on the platform it could end up being a farce. Although i am certain they will take their time and not push out product that isn't tested and ready.

And it wouldn't be money of the people. Also transactions are going to be reversable for that contract. That's goes without saying.
You may be right that CBDC will be the same national currency of the government and have less volatility and speculation than cryptocurrencies. But still banks will restrict access to cryptocurrencies, so people will use CBDC instead of crypto. Some countries may even have bans, like China for example. Maybe it will not affect us too much, but it can negatively affect further adoption of crypto.
1316  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: January 29, 2023, 06:17:33 PM
Fiorentina have done well. I thought they wouldn't be able to score against Lazio because Lazio have been scoring a lot of goals and conceding very little lately. But I think Fiorentina will lose anyway, although they also really need to score points.
1317  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Big Banks and MainStream on: January 29, 2023, 11:06:50 AM
What do the big banks and mainstream institutions think of bitcoin?

It depends if we are in bear market or bull run. In bear markets they are calling "bitcoin is dead" - https://99bitcoins.com/bitcoin-obituaries/ to create even more fud. In bull runs they call a 100k$ or 1 mln$:

JPMorgan says bitcoin could rally as high as $100000
JPMorgan: Bitcoin price could rise to $146K as it competes

So they are like counter indicator for us, experienced crypto traders.
It seems to me that banks have been managing all cryptocurrencies for a long time because they have the biggest capitals, thanks to which you can manage anything. I also think that the current cryptocurrency may be less in demand after banks create and start using CBDC.
1318  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: is investing in ethereum safe? on: January 29, 2023, 08:41:49 AM
Ethereum is a good known project in the cryptocurrency industry.  Ethereum (ETH) is a safe cryptocurrency to invest in because eth is the 2nd largest cryptocurrency in the world. So, it’s so much stable & its price will be increasing.
Of course ETH is a safer asset, just like bitcoin, but some altcoins can bring much more profit with less investment. I know from my own experience, that it's a shame to see the whole market growing and ETH or BTCs growing slower. But if I consider long term investing, I would buy ETH.
1319  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2022/23 on: January 29, 2023, 07:43:11 AM
The most difficult match for me to predict today is Real Madrid and Real Sociedad. If the visitors win this game, they will tie the points with their opponent. Real Madrid seems to have an improved situation at the club now, so they should win this match, but I have my doubts. Real Sociedad is very strong right now.
1320  Economy / Speculation / Re: Are we now on Crypto bull run? on: January 28, 2023, 09:31:19 PM
-snip-
I also believe that history will repeat itself, bull season comes only when the halving takes place. What is happening in the market is a surprise, and the uptrend shows no signs of stopping, but I think this is just a short term pump during bear season, it's like a small price drop during a bull season. It is difficult to know how long this pump will last, but we shouldn't be too surprised if bitcoin suddenly drops back, as we are still in bear season.
The current development of the price is really surprising. Nevertheless, I also assume that the price will fall again in the course of the year. But that wouldn't come as a surprise to me. Rather, I would be surprised if the price continues to rise and we see a bull run ahead of the halving. That would also be new in any case and would show that bitcoin is really unpredictable.  Smiley
I, also, think the new bull run will start after the halving. But I don't rule out a pre-pump this year. In any case, the market hasn't fallen for more than a year yet, so it should be at least sideways for 2023. But I wouldn't count on some serious decline. Last year was not historically similar, so maybe 2023 will be different.
