1441  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are you doing with your alt bags on: December 26, 2022, 11:43:58 AM
Altcoins not named Ethereum and BNB are really scary during a market fallout. Altcoins that are new and are not listed on big exchanges are the most dangerous of them as they can easily get pulled down. I have a new altcoin that is not yet listed on a top 5 exchange, from my investment of around $4,000 down to like $20 in value. If only I invested it in bitcoin, I would have a quarter of a bitcoin by now. Anyways, we should always put the money we can afford to lose and DYOR seriously to avoid heart-breaking losses. I am still optimistic though that some of these altcoins can recover and a few of them can rise up to x100 during a bull market.
If altcoins are new and not yet traded on major exchanges, it is on the contrary a good choice for investment. Only it is necessary to do a good research of projects not to become a victim of scammers. In the past bull market many people made fortunes buying shiba inu or solana before they ended up on binance. New unknown projects have a lot more potential than already known ones.
1442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: US is targeting Binance on: December 25, 2022, 06:57:09 PM
Then US will targeting Coinbase next Cheesy after Coinbase is done, they will target the whole centralized exchange and ask for higher tier verification to control every users. At that time, decentralized exchange e.g. Bisq will become the best choice since it doesn't need to submit KYC and the more people who trade on Bisq, the more volume is. So people wouldn't complain again if Bisq's volume is suck, it will become the best exchange in the future.
Yes, trading on DEX would probably be a better choice in the current difficult times when exchanges and large funds are going bankrupt. But DEX still has a lot of disadvantages, such as the lack of margin trading, which is very necessary for many traders. Or the lack of multichain exchanges also causes difficulties for users. No one knows where the U.S. will target, but they can only blame those in their jurisdiction. In this aspect, SBF was foolish to work in the U.S.
1443  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Italian League Prediction Thread (Serie A) on: December 25, 2022, 04:29:49 PM

Roma will play home match against Bologna. But the home Roma team is very weak. Roma managed to get only 10 points in 7 home matches. Bologna team cannot be called weak. This team is good enough. They have won 4 of their last 5 matches. But it is very difficult to predict how the teams will perform after a long break of almost 2 months. But in this match I am interested to bet Roma to win.

Roma are not having a good time this is for sure but Bologna is certainly not a team that can make Mou worry. I am sure that despite the period of uncertainty of the team they will be able to bring home the 3 points of the victory. I would bet on Roma's victory.

If you look at the head-to-head stats between Roma and Bologna, you will see roughly the same number of wins in Serie A - 53 Roma, 52 Bologna. Especially since the last two games against Bologna, Roma have failed to win. As you said, Roma are not in the best shape at the moment unlike Bologna. Therefore, I think this game will be tough for the hosts. I would guess that both teams will score one point each.
1444  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What is crypto staking? Is staking worth it? on: December 24, 2022, 05:44:24 PM
Personally, I think that staking can be a good idea for surviving the crypto winter we have now. However, it is worth analyzing which projects have the greatest chance of survival and price increase in the future. Sometimes it's better to choose 5% APR, but in a stable and promising project, than some shitcoin offering 25% APR. I also recommend keeping staked coins in your own wallets and not on exchanges or various services, even though they sometimes offer a higher rate of return.

This only applies to a worthy altcoin that you want to stake for a long time and even though it provides 5% but not really worth it since the value is lessened than you invested time staking it. I would say that POW is really much worth it since it gives you much reward than POS which gives you lessened reward since more people are doing it.
It's not that there are more users involved in POS, it's that some of them have a huge percentage of stake, for which they get big rewards, which they sell into the market. So the price of POS coins regularly goes down. Of the most recent such coins, I can name EVMOS. They were offering a huge APY for a stake of coins. You can clearly see on the chart what this has led to.
1445  Economy / Speculation / Re: The world is not doing well on: December 24, 2022, 04:29:25 PM
We've been in this kind of predicament before, and why we should be worry when we we're able to get past along the Covid-19 scare in 2020? The market has like -60% that time in just couple of days but we have bounce back and reaches all time high in 2021. So I don't think we should be shaken by the current events like wars or the FTX collapse, there will always be something to happen that is beyond our control that will affect the market. Nevertheless, the community will come through again no matter what the challenges is and we will see another all time high.
We cannot forget that phase. The 2019 market situation was really our toughest challenge and when we were able to step up to this moment (2022) of course the concern did not cross us who are still very confident in Bitcoin.

I'm not worried about Bitcoin at all. Instead, I have concerns about those who are still holding on to other types of crypto even though there have been several incidents that have made many people suffer losses such as in FTX. Even so, I still believe that they have enthusiasm for Bitcoin and still have a great desire to own large amounts of Bitcoin.
People will be facing bitcoin as a challenge no matter how many times it has proven to recover. I promise you, we will recover from this as usual, it will go up, and I mean go up a lot, maybe over 100k maybe even over 200k, and then it will have a crash again and people will doubt it again. You will say it has gone down and up even bigger 4-5 times now, why doubt it again* And people will still doubt it, then it will go up and go down again and people will doubt it again.

When it is your savings we are talking about a drop is not easy to accept and move on, it takes a lot of knowledge and confidence in what you invest into in order to make sure it will recover.
No one doubts that bitcoin will recover from this fall. Another question is where bitcoin will end up falling. There are also doubts about 200k. Yes, bitcoin rose in multiples several times after the fall, but each time it was less than the previous one. For example in 2020-2021 the growth was only x3 from the previous high. That is, no one guarantees that the next time bitcoin will grow more than 200k. Although, if you buy now and sell at the theoretical high of 160k, then you get x10, which is also very good.
1446  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin December price on: December 24, 2022, 03:12:27 PM
December is about 12 days left, and the current price is around $16600, it doesn't look like there will be any big surprises, maybe the highest price still to be reached is $19k, and the lowest is probably $15k, any option from that price then i won't sell bitcoin, probably will buy more and hold long term.
The economical situation around the world is getting harder for most people and I assume it affected new users in a way or another by reducing their numbers or limiting the amount they are willing to spend... If we added to that the crash of some services (FTX...) and seized bitcoin dumped in the market then we can say that bitcoin price this year isn't that bad and I expect a return to +$20k in the first months of the next year.
Only it is not clear for what reasons at the beginning of next year the price should increase, after the negative things you described. I also hope that in the first quarter there will be a local bounce of the whole market, because for the last year it did not happen once. But I still have a lot of doubts. Especially the situation with the markets around the world. So far, there are no prospects for growth.
1447  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will Bitcoin Die or Pump Up in 2023? on: December 23, 2022, 02:19:11 PM
According to Elon Musk, the price of Bitcoin will increase by the end of winter.  And we should not lose hope.  We have to harden our minds.  And everyone needs to hold on to Bitcoin tightly so that it doesn't get traded away from the market.  Whoever has the amount of BTC deposited, rest assured.  And wait, something good will come inshallah.  Inshallah BTC price will increase by mid 2023.  And I believe in Elon Musk's words, so you should continue to believe.  The price will definitely increase.

I woudn't trust Elon Musk much. He's a manipulator and is only doing or saying something for his own good. And he's absolutely not a Bitcoin expert, more like a shitcoin shill.
Yes, Elon Musk is a manipulator, and probably not many people believe him now, but still he has some impact on the cryptocurrency market. I like the fact that he at least talks about cryptocurrency. I mean, more people are learning about crypto through his tweets. Whether they believe what he says or not, he is an influence and creates more hype around bitcoin. Someone will read his tweet and buy BTC. That's probably a good thing.

No one to replace him in the French team? Or in Real Madrid after all? Perhaps you meant to say the second, but that too is a moot point. Rumours are rife that Real Madrid want Mbappe and are prepared to pay up to a billion euros for the player and then Benzema will have competition. Although I would not call it that, because Karim is already thinking about the end of his career (based on media reports) and Mbappe will just be his successor
When Mbappe is targeted by Real Madrid, it is a good opportunity for career development because Real Madrid is a big club that has a lot of money and a team that can work well together. What needs to be considered is that Mbappe must be able to interact well and not be a person who stubborn or difficult to manage.

If Real Madrid have player like Mbappe and Karim Benzema in this season, it will really help the team to perform better because we saw what Mbappe displayed in the FIFA world cup competition that just concluded few days ago, despite Argentina won the title. Mbappe has what Real Madrid want but to release the money to get Play like Mbappe is very hard but I know Real Madrid are capable to afford any amount of money just to get him. And, I believe Mbappe will never make real Madrid to regret for such decision in future.
Mbappe played very well in the World Cup, but I do not understand why there is so much hype about him. Yes, he is a great striker even before the World Cup, but his results in the finals were only due to two penalties. The rest of the time he was no better than the rest of France's forwards. Of course he's better than many and worthy of playing for Real Madrid, but I think there's a lot of unnecessary expectations around him now.
1449  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: December 23, 2022, 07:14:48 AM
Altcoins are of course one after another therefore we must be vigilant and really careful in seeing the potential to invest in the long term. I don't think those who are at the top right now are good to be used as long-term investments to get maximum profit because they are at the top except just to get short-term profits. i am more pleased with the coins being below the top ten but they have the potential to be in the top 10 in the future, it must be very profitable.
Usually it was so that the top altcoins disappeared and new ones appeared in their place. Remember EOS or ZEC, DASH. Now few people remember them, and new coins took their place. So most likely on the next bull market we will have other tops. I would consider new projects for investment, such as Aptos. I think it's a good pretender to become the new Solana.
1450  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SEC classified FTT token as a security on: December 22, 2022, 08:16:04 PM
I think here we are talking only about American exchanges. That is for example Binance or Huobi are in another jurisdiction and SEC doesn't mean much to them. The maximum that the SEC can limit is to close the service Binance US, which is not very popular in contrast to the main Binance. In general, this news should not affect other exchanges.
1451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Dogecoin Dead ? on: December 22, 2022, 02:52:15 PM
when twitter officially became Elon Musk's property it made Dogecoin go up a bit, it was very natural that Dogecoin would go back down because of problems with twitter or Elon Musk. I am not a fan of dogecoin, it would be better to invest long-term in utility coins such as ethereum, solana, bnb. Dogecoin is indeed good for the short term.
I don't know what's good about doge? Maybe just that it's a coin promoted by Elon Musk. Otherwise it is as useless as any other altcoin. I never understood why these memcoins have such a large capitalisation, even more than some real companies. I guess that will fix itself in time. By the way Twitter does not necessarily integrate doge. They could easily create another coin.
1452  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: FTX collapse: Good or bad for crypto in the long run? on: December 22, 2022, 01:53:23 PM
I believe that FTX collapse is a good thing in the long term. People should learn to keep their crypto off exchanges after that. At least some of them. And I hope they'll understand, that some altcoins are not the only thing that can fall, exchanges are not unbreakable too.

In some sense it was actually good due to people now being aware that exchanges should be treated as "an exchange" rather "a wallet". While it was disastrous due to the fact that millions of people lost millions of dollars due to FTX crash and even businesses where shutdown due to this misfortune and in situation like this so many of the victims might even be tempted to commit suicide, because it's so frustrating losing all your life investment overnight. It's just so incomprehensible.
So it's not safe to say it was good if you consider the damage it did cause.
There were many scams of various exchanges before FTX collapsed. And they all led to many people going bankrupt. But so far it hasn't been bad for cryptocurrency. It has only served as a lesson for many users. I'm sure these lessons will be repeated over and over again in the future. Some will draw conclusions and some will continue to lose money on exchanges. But if someone has a suicidal tendency, that's their problem.
1453  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why every casino got bad habits? on: December 22, 2022, 12:35:42 PM
It will just depend on how they will address their players and potential players concern to establish a great reputation that could be trusted.
If a casino has a bad review, we know the extent of their bad habit if the bad review is unaddressed and more persons still having the same complaints that caused the bad review. It is not abnormal for a casino to have a bad review. If a casino is sharp and delligent addressing a negative review, it can turn the situation around in their favour as the person who gave the review will be happy about their response, more persons will know that the casino is committed to becoming better even with the bad reviews it has gotten from a few customers.
We are bound to see bad reviews for one casino especially if it creates an ANN on this forum so we can rate it too and don't have to try to visit the site, let alone deposit money there. Every casino will have bad reviews, but casinos are bound to have good reviews too. And if there are more good reviews than bad reviews, we can make that casino a place to play gambling because we won't have any bad experiences there. A good casino will always keep its place by providing good service; if a member has a problem, they will be ready to help.
It's not that simple. I can give you an example of 1xBit casino on this forum. All participants have a red trust and a terrible reputation. Probably every member of the forum knows that it is a scam. But when I went to a popular site Blockchair.com, I saw 1xBit ads there. That is, the reputation on the forum and advertising on such a popular site contradict each other. And it seems to me that many visitors to Blockchair.com don't know about the bad reputation on Bitcointalk.
1454  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: December 22, 2022, 11:49:25 AM
I also think that he’s most likely to continue playing for PSG. But if he actually wants to see some success in his life, he has to move away from PSG. Because PSG is absolutely spoiling him.
Mbappe cannot leave psg now, he has a big contract with them and i feel he is also happy staying in his country France while playing for psg. Mbappe is one of the most valuable footballers today, so for a team to buy Mbappe right now they have to pay a very huge amount of money, and many teams are not going to pay that, Madrid were so close to signing him last summer, but it was easier for them because he was at the end of his contract, now that he has a new contract with psg i don't think they will let him go, and even if they will sell him, it will be for over 150 million pounds, and i don't know the team that will want to spend that much. He is already having success in psg by the way, and even if they do treat him in a special way, he is getting spoilt because he chose to himself.
messi and neymar have ever won the champions league trophy when they were still in barcelona but mbappe has never won a UCL trophy

if mbappe continues to be at PSG, it's the same as closing his own wing, he is a great player and most of the great players are always at madrid because they know how to win all the trophies, very different from PSG
Indeed, PSG has the most expensive and best lineup of players right now. Even better than Real Madrid. But PSG regularly fail to qualify for the Champions League finals. Probably because they have no serious rivals in Ligue 1 and their level of play is much higher. But it's hard for them to compete in the Champions League with Madrid or Bayern. I hope Mbappe will play in the Champions League final this season as he did in the World Cup.
1455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will you buy more ETH after reading this ? on: December 22, 2022, 09:37:40 AM
You are using a ponzi analysis when you analyze the data gathered for Ethereum price. Ofc Ethereum pump is not unlimited while the current price is already pump huge percentage why the need to invest now if you knew that the coin is already overvalued?

This is the common mistake by newbie assuming the pump will continue despite the price is already discovered compared to the early year. Institutional investors is already in so where will the fresh money will come from?
The same can be said about bitcoin, when everyone thinks it will pump up forever. Right now ETH is confidently in the second place by capitalization, but in the future it can become the first, because it has much more features than other cryptocurrencies. Although I don't believe yet that it will replace Bitcoin, I don't exclude that ETH will become more popular because of smart contracts and more implementation not only in business, but also in government system.
1456  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Why there are no cool games on: December 21, 2022, 05:46:36 PM
Probably such features would not be implemented in regular video games because they are not only played by adults, but also by children. And that could lead to even more addiction. I'm sure such games won't be approved by x-box or PlayStation. About the regular casino games, probably people are used to the classics, so fighting for money in the browser is not popular, but maybe that will change in the future.
Maybe if implemented into gambling, it will only attract gamblers while the young generation under 17 years can not play in the casino and are very happy to play those games on PlayStation or X-Box. And it will limit the number of players playing the game so maybe the profit to the casino is not as much as other gambling games. But I don't know. The casino may create a new game inspired by the games on PlayStation or X-Box. So let's wait for technological developments in this gambling sector.
Probably with technology will not be difficult and most likely it is not difficult to implement in already ready games. But it seems to me that this will be an additional reason for cheating. For example, a player can bet against himself and lose on purpose. If even in soccer rigged matches occur, then in computer games it is much easier to do.
1457  Economy / Speculation / Re: Will The FED pivot? on: December 21, 2022, 05:15:29 PM
I think it is important to note that it's not going up as much as it used to, and it's going to be lower and lower and eventually we will reach a world where it's going down instead of going up. In that world everything will get back to normal, maybe not today and maybe not even in 2023, but by 2024 everything should be normal.

This means that any investments you made so far in 2022 wasn't for nothing, if you kept it, and if you continue to buy more in 2023 as well then when the time for normalization in economy comes then you will make a lot of profit. I personally believe that long term profit is achievable and on the horizon, we just need to be a bit more patient.
It seems to me that all of this data is artificially created, because with the amount of dollars printed in 2020-2021, inflation should have been a lot more than the FED claims. And their fight against inflation, when the entire stock market collapsed, is also a special manipulation, which benefits not the economy but a certain group of people. So anything can happen in 2023, it's hard to guess.
1458  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Don't buy altcoins because they are top altcoins on: December 21, 2022, 02:54:05 PM
Coins like, Peercoin, Namecoin, Feathercoin, World coin, and Novacoin are all the best shitcoins of their time, you can't use them to compare with Polygon Matic and Cardano, real use case and better adoption is what keeps coins at the top ranks that's why BNB and ETH will always be on top 10.
It's the same whether Matic or Cardano altcoins are not the right ones to buy even though they have real use their adoption is not that big except for bitcoin so now maybe they can be in big capitalists while altcoins always appear and are shifted to new coins but not with bitcoin still in the first until now.

So it's everyone's choice that each altcoin will always fall into the same hole, I don't think about any altcoins except bitcoin that I have in my portfolio.
So far, Ripple and Litecoin have held their own in the top-10-20 spot. You could probably add DOGE here. You might get lucky if you guess the right altcoin. For example someone was able to make money buying ATOM or Cardano. Bitcoin is of course much safer than altcoins. But these are cryptocurrencies, and there are still high risks.
1459  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: World cup highest goal scorers update discussion on: December 21, 2022, 10:58:41 AM
Mbappe have achieved so much in his age and have made records of what some superstars didn't do in their reign. Appearing twice in world cup which he won the cup and now he is the highest goal scorer this time. He most might want to leave PSG to another club that will pay him more. Real Madrid might be one his list,he is still young and can still appear in three more world cup before retirement, he has an innocent look but very dangerous when it come to scoring goals.
maybe he will be the top scorer again in the next world cup considering that many of the greatest players are currently of course retired like messi, ronaldo and others at the 2026 world cup, mbappe has quality skills in scoring goals so he needs a lot of experience too in other clubs or other leagues so that he becomes a goal scoring machine and becomes the greatest player in the future, especially since he is still relatively young, he needs a lot of experience in football
Mbappe is already a scoring machine. You could say he has already achieved everything Messi or Ronaldo have achieved, perhaps even more. He was able to score three goals in the World Cup final, that's saying a lot. As for Ronaldo, I think Portugal already have a new replacement for him, it's the young player who came out in his place, Joao Felix. I liked the way he performed at this championship.
