1521  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 04, 2022, 06:49:41 PM
I can tell you from experience that none of the gambling sites I used to register with offered me verification. That is, there were buttons confirming my age, but nothing more. So any underage user can play on gambling sites without any problem. And individual governments have no power to influence this. This is a really big problem with little mention of it.
So what if the casino asked them to fill out a KYC form, would these kids use someone else's KYC to pass?
I never thought it was proper practice to be able to gamble because basically forcing myself to play under the age of 18 is a clear offence.

I disagree about kids being able to gamble without any restrictions, even if they manage to cheat the casino with other people's data then it is really not recommended. But anyway the casino will not mind it as long as gamblers are able to complete KYC when it is needed at any time.
They will not need to cheat anyone. All they have to do is go to another site which might not ask for verification. There are now so many online crypto gambling sites with any choice of gambling products. And absolutely all sites use in their design beautiful cartoon graphics, which attracts more attention just from young people. Yes, probably the way out of such a situation would be the introduction of KYC.
1522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 04, 2022, 05:10:31 PM
If you are watching Poland match versus France you will begin to ask yourself how Poland managed to get to this stage of the World Cup. I meant to say that so many countries that did not survive through group stage are better than Poland and they could be better if they got the opportunity that Poland got. They made the whole match not to look like what Cup knockout stage. I pity the Lewandoski because this can impact his ranking in the next international or European award
Poland were just lucky that Mexico scored one less goal than they did. I agree that Poland played poorly against France, but no one expected Poland to have at least one chance to win. France have too serious plans to concede so early. I think France can play in the World Cup final again. I'm more interested in what the result will be in today's second match.
1523  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 04, 2022, 03:33:39 PM
It may look odd for most but it's really happening, and I've been introduced to gambling when I was younger and also under aged. I think the effect of it would last long until that young person grows up. He'll get to have many ideas in gambling and it's on him whether he's going to continue it or not. But as someone who's been introduced to it on a younger age, I wouldn't allow the younger ones that I know introduced on it, it will be a terrible idea and I don't know how they can bring themselves in and out on it.
What country OP talks about?
While these young guys have a chance to build their future, they have to avoid any kind of addiction and governments should be involved in such situations. Gambling companies have strict rules and most popular online sports bookies ask for KYC to verify a user's age. Having an interest in soccer is understandable, it is not a problem if they keep supporting the team they like most but making bets over teams will lead to addictions since their brain activity age is still going on to keep observing things around them. Banning underage gambling companies and arresting such resellers can save young gamblers, otherwise, gambling addiction will kick in sooner or later for the young generation.
I can tell you from experience that none of the gambling sites I used to register with offered me verification. That is, there were buttons confirming my age, but nothing more. So any underage user can play on gambling sites without any problem. And individual governments have no power to influence this. This is a really big problem with little mention of it.
1524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So USDT is what's keeping TRX alive? on: December 04, 2022, 01:25:05 PM
USDT is a ticking time bomb keeping everything alive give the supply. Should it go bust any second it would be a catastrophe

TRX? They can survive on their own.
I think that it was not about the fact that Tether is a dangerous asset for the entire crypto market, and more interested in the question of what the future of blockchain tron is if USDT is disconnected from them. I think then trx won't be any different from a bunch of other shitcoins that have been created a lot. TRX is one of those useless coins.
1525  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are stablecoins safe? on: December 04, 2022, 12:46:46 PM
The price of Tether (USDT) will eventually collapse, but not now. There are many more things that haven't been audited in USDT, which has caused speculation.

Therefore, USDC exists. Transparency and full backing are the hallmarks of USDC. However, anything is possible now that they can find ways to crash it. If you want to use DAI, you can do so. DAI> USDC > USDT. Yet it's probably not a smart move to invest in stablecoins.

In the past few years, many people predicted USDT would crash, and I still see many people saying the same thing today. However, USDT is still the largest cap and most used stablecoin by far.
Honestly, I see all stablecoins as the same, they are not so different, USDT, USDC, or BUSD are all the same. All are equally concentrated and risky, no one is safer than the other. Their mission is to be an intermediary asset to help us access bitcoin easier, they are not an investment, so there is no need to compare or distinguish, they are not suitable for long-term holding.
The most important thing is that they are all equally supplied with air. That is, the capitalization of Tether only is $66 billion. And this is much more than the capitalization of real active companies, for example 5 times more than Nissan Motors, which produce real cars, which as well as Tether are used all over the world. Knowing just about this simple math makes me wonder what's going on.
1526  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: December 04, 2022, 05:12:22 AM
Since the price of Bitcoin dropped down to $16k in the market, show that it will be difficult for traders to see $100,000 in this year 2022 because the year remain few weeks to the end of this year which the price will remain low through out this season. I guess, next year 2023 will be a better year to all crypto traders in the community because the price will surely reach $100,000 for those that experienced losses in the past will use the opportunity to recover from their losses.
I'm not sure next year will be the best for cryptocurrency, but I'm sure it will be better than 2022. This annual candle will close in the red zone, but according to history, there haven't been two annual red candles in a row yet. That's a little encouraging. Maybe next year will start to rise and we could see 100k in a few years.
1527  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: under-age gamblers on: December 03, 2022, 07:22:38 PM
Kids are going to gamble. You can’t stop it. Kids see things and they want to take part. Gambling is no different. I recall kids in school gambling on things from as early as I can remember. Even games like Pogs were introduced to children that seemingly fueled the urge to gamble. There isn’t much that could be done as it’s easier to gamble than get your hands on alcohol as a kid. Especially with online gambling and crypto now, I don’t see this as an easily tackled problem.
Unfortunately, that's true. Kids cannot be stopped, especially in the digital space. Nowadays it is not difficult for a child to buy drugs on a dark market or even more so to play in a casino, if that is what they want. In the same way non-traditional values are promoted when Snow White is shown as a man in a cartoon, for example. I'm not talking about teenagers who are 15-17 years old, they have already got their minds set. The digital world has a very strong influence on young children. And gambling is probably not the biggest problem.
1528  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 06:36:37 PM
The last 16 round started today. We watched the Netherlands-USA match as the first match.  Both teams played a balanced game. Although the Netherlands scored the goals, the USA didn't play badly either.  Closing the first half 2-0 ahead, hollamda entered the halftime in high spirits. At the beginning of the second half, the USA increased the pressure and found the goal too late. It was time for the USA to be eliminated after conceding a goal 5 minutes after scoring.
The next match will be played between Argentina and Australia. I expect Argentina to get a comfortable win.
I also think Argentina will win this match, but we should not forget that Australia beat Tunisia and Denmark. Although neither of these teams qualified for the 1/8, they were strong opponents. Although if you watch how masterfully Argentina defeated Poland and Mexico, Australia will not be a difficult problem for them. They have no right to make a mistake, as they did against Saudi Arabia.
1529  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC Sentiment Poll for December on: December 03, 2022, 05:47:35 PM
I think December will be as red as November. It would be logical to have a final capitulation in the market. Just the annual candle on the bitcoin chart turns out to be red. It seems to me that the 10-12k level where the rapid growth started in 2020 should be tested again. Although every previous month I have waited for a bounce and never guessed, I would be happy to be wrong about December as well.
1530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin cycles, this is the cyclical minimum on: December 03, 2022, 05:12:49 PM
Thanks for all the comments, I didn't see too much in the way of disagreement that we are around the low of the bitcoin cycle so far. It would be an interesting debate though if there are those who disagree.

On this long timescale I can't rule out another drop in price, I am not saying we have seen the low (although it is possible and maybe even likely)  however I still maintain this will be the region where the bottom is forming in this cycle, even if there is another leg down.

There comes a point where the weak hands have all capitulated and strong hands more reluctant to sell. The collapse of FTX and all that may have been a way to flush out many of the remaining weak hands. (As I've seen in previous cycles with the FBI seizure of Silk Road) for example,.

Thought I'd share another chart showing some evidence things may start to turn bullish. This is a 1 day chart

Please note i nearly always use Heikin Ashi style candles and price on a log scale, as in this chart here.

What I am drawing attention to is a bullish divergence where even though the price is making lower lows. The RSI Relative Strength indicator is not. This can indicate that the bearish trend reverse is on the horizon.

What do you guys think? are there more bearish things I'm missing? Or bottom is forming here ready for new bull to start?

I don't like the amount of negativity within the cryptocurrency market. The S&P and NASDAQ seem to have bounced back nicely, while bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are breaking new bottoms. Had it not been for FTX, there probably would have been a bounce as well. Maybe it will happen with a delay when things settle down. As for your chart, it reminds me of May-July 2021 before bitcoin went to new highs.
1531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 03, 2022, 01:09:08 PM
I really think that USA could surprise Netherlands today. Netherlands is a good team, but USA is playing surprisingly good in this tournament. If they continue to play like they did in the last three games, Netherlands could have problem with them. We will see. I'm certain that surprises will happen in the knockout round, especially since it's only one game that's deciding who will advance and who will go home.

On the other hand, Argentina should have no problem with Australia. Australia is good, but if Argentina plays like they are suppose to, it should be an easy win for them.
I agree with you that there is no favorite in the Netherlands-USA match. The USA played well against England and Wales and were able to defeat not weak Iran. The Netherlands had no problems in the group either. They won two matches against Qatar and Senegal, which guaranteed their exit from the group. But judging by their play, they have a lot of problems and don't know how they will perform in the game against the United States. If the Netherlands will play like they did against Ecuador, there is a chance that the USA can win.
1532  Economy / Speculation / Re: How fast will Bitcoin fall down? on: December 02, 2022, 01:30:45 PM
Hi. I'm a newbie and I'm just learning about this topic. There are many questions that I would like to understand, maybe this one has already been discussed, but I didn't find the thread, sorry. How reliable is Bitcoin, what will it be if someone will generate a new blockchain or another digital currency, will it make bitcoin fall down, and how fast?

No one exactly knows the rate at which the price of Bitcoins will fall down. No one also can say that when will the price goes down. What we can do is just estimate and guess. So the price comes or goes down depends only on the demand of the coin. Due to the fixed amount of supply of Bitcoins, when the demand of the coin goes up, the price also goes up, when demand goes down, the price also goes down. Nevertheless we need to see when there are more sell orders then buy orders in any exchange, and that can be marked as the fall of the price of the Bitcoins.
No one wants to look at specific examples from the past where you can see that bitcoin can fall quite quickly. For example 2018 or an even better example is 2020 when bitcoin dropped more than 50% in just one day. Exactly the same stories happened this year, but the fall was smoother. This shows that an inexperienced person (as well as an experienced one) can easily lose money in this market.
1533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do not believe every crypto news you read online on: December 01, 2022, 07:53:52 PM
I have seen Cointelegraph do similar word play. One day they tell that bitcoin is holding the price well and call it as a bottom while the next day they say bitcoin will plunge to $12k as per analysis and so on.
From my overall experience in the crypto community what I have learnt is we must read the news as it gives us a highlight of what is going around but we should never believe everything we read.
We should do our own analysis and trust ourselves. The news is often a rumor.
Doing our own research will help us become better and sometimes it will also get us great opportunities while the others fall for those rumors.
Probably the opposite, the news tells us not what's going on around us, but what's not going on around us. For example, when some news channel tells us that bitcoin will rise soon and we should buy while it's cheap, it signals that everything will fall soon. Or negative news can signal that it might go up soon, but people panic and are afraid to buy, which is good for the market maker.
1534  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 01, 2022, 03:44:07 PM
Interesting point table Group F.If Croatia and Morocco will win today then have no chance to qualify in next round for Belgium. Belgium must be win today match. If they will be point loss or share then they wouldn’t qualify next round.Belgium didn’t well play this world cup.Can Belgium qualify for super 16?what do you think?
We can't say that Belgium can't win the match against Croatia because they really want to qualify for the next round. But we admit that group F is a very tight competition group. This will be a match of life and death between Hazard and Modric.

Not only Belgium, Marocco is also very optimistic about being able to qualify by aiming for a win against Canada. If Morocco wins, then Belgium's dream of qualifying for the last 16 will be closed and forced to leave Qatar sooner.

Let's watch their match.
But the task is easier for Croatia and Morocco because they only need a draw in this match. Meanwhile, Belgium must get full points, and the team it faces cannot be said to be easy. If you say Belgium is aiming for a place in the last 16, then all three countries in this group will also be aiming for the same.
The game has just started, let's see if Belgium can turn things around by winning this match or Croatia who has the advantage will finish the match at least with a draw.
I saw Morocco scoring quick goals at the moment and taking the lead.
When Ziyech's goal was due to a Canadian goalkeeper's blunder, Borjan made Belgium's hopes temporarily disappear because they were still playing against Croatia which made Belgium have to be willing to be in third place. Again, Belgium was increasingly under pressure because Morocco had doubled the score through En-Nesyri's hard kick.
It seemed that the match between Croatia vs Belgium would be a penalty, but the VAR gave the answer that the Croatian player was caught offside first and the penalty did not take place.

Belgium must be able to take advantage of even the slightest opportunity in order to score a goal because the victory against Croatia was a very important victory. Possession of the ball is still 50% -50%, but Belgium looks very active in attacking which has made 3 shots.
Croatia has the same number of attacks and it seems to me that both teams play equally accurately. Croatia has more experience in World Cups, so I think they have a better chance of winning than Belgium. Although judging by the lineup of players, Belgium is certainly the stronger team. Probably in the second half one of the teams will break, but I can't guess which one.
1535  Economy / Speculation / Re: My advice to you regarding bear markets. on: December 01, 2022, 02:54:52 PM
The rumours about satoshi hodling thousands of btc and then plans to sell it might be fake. He never want to make a profit but he only want to help the people to have some freedom and have a control of their money. Not just btc but all cryptos have a risk but it can be lessened out the more the knowledge and experience we obtained.
This is still an old story and there is no clarity until now because we don't even know that this is true or false, moreover this is only a handful of information that is still floating with various speculations that exist.
But on the other hand, we also cannot fully believe or completely do not believe in something like this because all possibilities are still there and all we have to do is continue to be here carefully, so in my opinion this is enough.
I think that if Satoshi really was real or alive, as there is a high probability that he would be Hal Feeney, we would probably notice some movement of these huge sums. But that hasn't happened for a very long time. Accordingly, I personally think that these bitcoins are lost forever and can be ignored in the total issue. As for risk, any financial investment carries risk. Of course, cryptocurrencies are an increased risk, but now it is minimal.
1536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2022/23 Season on: December 01, 2022, 11:24:16 AM
But like I said, it's too early to talk about the final because there are a few more stages for these teams to go through including Manchester City. There are at least 6 matches that will await them to reach the final, meanwhile Manchester City is one of the most likely candidates.

I agree with you. We don't know which team will qualify for the final. The group stage has just ended. And almost every team in the Round of 16 is strong. If even big teams like Manchester City or Real Madrid make any mistakes in the knockout round, they will not be able to qualify for the quarter-finals. So now every team has to perform very carefully. But I would be happy if one of PSG or Manchester City were champions.

@skarais the key thing here is the injury factor and in this case City is lucky as Haaland is not playing in the World Cup hence he’ll be injury free, but other team’s like Madrid and PSG already have injury concerns. Furthermore I would yet like to back Real Madrid because when it comes to champions league they just have to win it, but besides them I would pick City and that’s only due to Haaland’s insane goal scoring ability.
So far I can mention Bayern Munich's goal scorer Sadio Mane as one of the injured players. Bayern are probably lucky that he was injured before the World Cup started and will probably be able to play after the end of the World Cup. By the way, Senegal have been performing well so far without Mane.
1537  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 30, 2022, 08:30:02 PM
Messi has missed the plenty....OH Messi What have you done

This might be the turning moment of the match and the turning moment for the fate of Argentina's progress in this world cup. A disappointing moment in this match for those who are supporting Argentina. The plenty was awarded through VAR but Argentina failed to take advantage.
Great save by Wojciech Szczęsny when Messi took the penalty, and this was a chance for Messi but was out of luck.
and this sata score is 0-1 and argentina scored against poland and the goal was scored by Alexis Mac Allister in the 47th minute when the second half match had just started. And Argentina must win to qualify for the round of 16.

Saudi Arabia vs Mexico 0-2.
South America are out of competition in the afternoon matches. Honestly, I was expecting more surprises from Argentina and Poland, but not from France and Denmark. It was the other way round. This championship is little predictable for me. I expected Poland to beat Argentina, even though I wrote that I expected Messi's team to win, but I didn't expect Australia and Tunisia to beat France and Denmark.
1538  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: November 30, 2022, 12:39:26 PM
I'm also waiting for this match between Poland and Argentina. I think both team will be able to win the match. I am too excited tomorrow for this match who will win the match. This is a tough match because Argentina Team already defeated by Saudia Arabia Team and also Argentina will be play good in next match if they want to win.
The game is one of the difficult one and we'll be expecting more actions from the both sides since they're top sides. Argentina have been fantastic in the competition so far and Leo Messi looks to make outstanding records in the game. Not only Argentina have finest players, they have also good players which are high profile players and they can deliver in the game. Their opponents, Poland have classy players who give room for excuses. Like they are very tactical on the pitch, with Robert Lewandowski who's a top scorer.
I don't think Robert Lewandowski will be able to help the Polish team against Argentina today. Yes, Argentina sensationally lost to Saudi Arabia, but they won't make that mistake today. They just need a win to get out of the group, in which there is absolutely nothing clear at the moment.
1539  Economy / Speculation / Re: I think that we will see 13500 Dollars In 2022 on: November 30, 2022, 12:04:42 PM
I think we have a retest approaching, presuming we dont recover both the 2 day and weekly averages.  At present it seems to be drifting towards the rocky shores of prior lows, 15800 roughly and if it doesnt clear that area soon and with some confidence then the situation would develop negatively from there at least near term.

The price of $ 15800 was never thought of by everyone so that when there were prices below $ 16K, there would be a large volume of purchase, and the good news of the few days was the price soon to reach $ 17K, and today it has reached $ 16800 and I'm sure tomorrow or in December Prices will start rising.
Well, I say that many are waiting for $15k which triggers a huge buying volume leading to a price increase. But the situation isn't over yet and it was not time to lose confidence with the few pump as the dump may strike again even if it was the holiday season. I do respect the volatile nature of the market and we are not sure if this December we still see what we have experienced in most holiday seasons.
Still watching the market changes and keeping interested in what will happen a few days passed after the FTX issue.
Many said the same thing about 20k, that if bitcoin fell to those values there would be many people willing to buy, but that didn't happen, and if it did, many were disappointed. It seems to me that if bitcoin falls below 15k, there will not be a lot of buying, especially since there is not much left to 15k.
1540  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase wallet stops support for XRP, ETC, XLM and BCH on: November 30, 2022, 09:05:55 AM
I don't know about wallet support for these coins, but I do know that Coinbase removed the XRP trading pair back when XRP had a court case with the SEC. But I'm surprised that the wallet stops supporting these coins as well. It makes you wonder how to store cryptocurrency, because it turns out that any wallet can stop supporting various cryptocurrencies.
