While everyone is busy protesting how 2015 is the year of altcoins. I don't think anyone realize how bad it can get if Bitcoin hits single digit. We're talking business shutting down, all exchanges rely on fees for their income (which they receive in BTC) if BTC hits single digit those fees become pennies. No one is going to run a business to earn pennies.
There is going to be chaos, stock market crashing, people on street begging for food. I'm talking about nightmare that you haven't seen since civil war. I think it's good for everyone that BTC stays above $400 anything below is too dangerous.
cex.io turned off their cloud mining and many businesses will follow them if BTC price keeps crashing.
No altcoins without Bitcoin. At least it'll be 100x harder to buy altcoins if exchanges are gone.

lol, people need not be worried about prices, this project is still in early stages and I can see the team delivering. If youre around for just a quickflip then you might get burnt. Simples. With BTC dumping it could be someone looking to put their money elsewhere for now. This is just an opportunity to average down and make an even better investment over a long term period. As a community we should think of ways to give even more value to our investment, not moan and cry "dev fix the price".
Perhaps we can give the team some feedback as to what we would like to see out of the business apart from we know and have seen so far. I would like to know what they will be doing at the expo too. I suppose there will be some products on sale?

It seems like they want anyone and everyone to buy some which may be good or bad, but just because someone raises 600k you want them to not want more purchases even if they are only .1 BTC transactions? Why limit purchases to a large amount if you're just trying to raise money? Look back on some of the other shitcoins where the DEVs have made pie in the sky promises and bolted with the ICO, Premine, ect... If the DEVs have that kind of backing already, but can't provide proof, then the chances are (or it looks like to me) it's a scam. If you haven't noticed. It's going to be XPY. Majority of people are moving fund to XPY because that's more profitable than any other coin out there. It's going to replace BTC (May be) but that's next coin in the list after BTC. Ethereum will be there but just as an another altcoin. Why? Because XPY has community, billions of $ for development and solid user base. They've achieved what any other altcoin could only wish for. They're going to be no.1 by March. Highest volume in major exchange since the launch.  Also, Keep in mind even at its lowest Bitcoin still has 5000x more value than your shitcoin. I really like optimistic people  . Bitcoin has dominated all other cryptos. Without Bitcoin, we'd never be where we are today.
But Bitcoin is now old tech (that's my view). Bitcoin is incapable of being a global currency (either today or in 100 years' time).
And as Bitcoin becomes less and less dominant, can other cryptocurrencies now diverge independently from BTC?
Pretty much every cryptocurrency of significant market cap has danced in step with Bitcoin. Until now.
From the market over the last week, we can see the beginnings of alt-coins decoupling from the Bitcoin monster. It's sad to see Bitcoin dwindle away and so many people lose their money, but it has to happen this way. Bitcoin cannot do what we need it to do.
I agree. People get glued to BTC but it was only given as an "idea" and that's what people need to understand. You shouldn't get glued to an idea..you should learn something from it and make it better. A large % of transactions in/out of XRP are in BTC, so it's understandable. There's a lot of work to do before Ripple can become independent in its own right. All the tools, people, infrastructure (and money) is there. I don't think Ripple can even walk straight without BTC supporting it. lol It's going to be XPY, bro. It's the next big thing and timing of it couldn't be better. Josh announced that $20 buy back and next thing you know BTC price starts dropping like a bomb. Even old BTC holders are moving towards XPY because of profit they can make. I have a feeling it's going to have biggest market cap we've known in history of crypto. I'm not talking about small marketcap. I'm talking about 500000 trillions of dollars moving to XPY. I"m talking about people selling their kids and house for XPY. Chaos on street and people killing each other just to get hold of some XPY. I'm talking about World War 4! I'm talking about Nuclear bombs getting dropped to get hold of some XPY. This is history in the making. |
