Seeing at the poll results about who is going to be the 2020 champion,
I can see that a lot of people has chosen Lakers. Why not choosing the Bucks? They are playing amazingly with Giannis being on top of his form and they hold an amazing record of wins-losses right now. What would make people think that Lakers are going to be the champions?

One reason that i see is that two of the Lakers (James and Davis) are on the top 5 in the contention for this season's MVP. The poll is just a mere speculation of the basketball fanatics here and it may not coincide with what really is happening in the NBA.

They see Lebron and Davis tandem, they see instant championship team. At least that is what it looks like at the start of the season. As the season progress, we can see that Lakers have a hard time winning against other top teams like Clippers, Nuggets and Bucks. Maybe as we near the playoffs the result of the poll will change.

I missed the decimal point once, and instead of wagering 0.02BTC on one roulette spin, I instead bet 0.2BTC

This happened to me too in blackjack. A misplaced decimal point and my heart skipped a beat when I realized that I made a wrong bet. Luckily I won that round. I stopped gambling for a while to recollect my thoughts. It is true that haste makes waste. We better check our bets before we commit.
2043  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 29, 2019, 05:39:08 PM

Since Clippers lost to Jazz yesterday I'll now agree to those saying that Clippers is such an overrated team.

Anyway, Jazz having Jordan Clarkson is a great move by the management.

The Lakers lost to Pacers as well, they are underrated too. Rockets lost to warriors last Christmas. Good teams lose to lower-ranked teams, it happens. It doesn't mean their underrated, it is just one bad night.

And I think it is alright for clippers to lose. They need to know what they lack and they'll never know that winning.

Happy New Year sa lahat.

2045  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2020 Bitcoin halving!!! Bull run??? on: December 29, 2019, 02:41:50 PM
I have high hopes in 2020 but hitting the bull run next year is not one of them. I am expecting to have a lot of price movement because of halving expectations but I expect the real bull run to begin in 2021. There will plenty of opportunity to earn and accumulate before it starts.

2046  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GAME] "Bring Me" Chance to win XRP coins on: December 29, 2019, 01:43:40 PM
I don't know if I miscounted but parang pang 15th pa lang itong guess ko kaya pwede pa.

My guess: 378

I still have hope to humanity.
2047  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Bull Run sa taong 2020 Magsisimula nga ba ? on: December 29, 2019, 12:31:25 PM
Bull Walk muna sa 2020  Grin

Base sa mga nakaraang halving, it took a while bago umangat ang presyo ni bitcoin. Meron din nagsasabi about the 4-year cycle ni BTC from the last ATH.

2048  Economy / Speculation / Re: bitcoin could be 6000$ soon give us your opinion on: December 28, 2019, 03:55:28 PM
Bitcoin is volatile. We all know that.
But the recent price fluctuation doesn't say so. $6.5k - 7.5k is where it is playing at.
So the price might not really move too much until the end of the halving.
In a six month period, the trend is still going down. So it still can be true until the next halving. The price may be holding but the general consensus is to accumulate as much before the bull run kicks in. So, there might be some who will try to get the price go down to be able to buy more. I am expecting the price to go down to 6K , maybe more.
2049  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Libra coin alive or dead? on: December 28, 2019, 02:06:05 PM
libra is as good as dead, they can not bypass the regulation.

We are yet to see if Libra will not get the go for their coin. They are still in the process of securing it. I think the team behind Libra will be willing to compromise in order to get through the regulations. We can't say their dead until the whole shebang is over.

2053  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time for YouTube to vanish ... on: December 27, 2019, 03:53:33 PM
I don't mind if youtube is gone. I am sick of their ads anyways. Some videos play two ads before playing, another midstream and another at the end of the video. That is just too much commercialism in there.

LBRY is right, YouTubers should sync their videos, maybe not just to LBRY but to other decentralized platforms.
2054  Local / Pamilihan / Re: [GAME CONTEST]--💰🎁PREDICTION PRICE OF BTC in Q4🎁💰-- on: December 27, 2019, 02:57:37 PM
4 days to go na lang ang contest. Mukhang wala nang masyadong paggalaw ng price until New Year.

Congratulations!!!

That's a speedy recovery for Doncic right there. I don't know what therapy he undergoes but but it seems too fast. Unlike the injury of Stephen Curry where it's his finger only and it took him months I guess and still didn't play until now.

Basketball players get a sprained ankle all the time. It is not serious and if you are young and healthy you can recover rather quickly, like Luka. Steph's injury is different. It is a broken left hand. It required surgery. Luckily he can fully recover and I hope his shooting is not affected because it is his bread and butter.
2056  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Will You Bet Or Gamble Before New Year, Or On The New Year on: December 27, 2019, 01:30:23 PM
I want to know will you gamble before the year-end to try to get the most before the year-end or will you prefer to gamble after the new year to welcome the year, or will you prefer to do both, I'm having second thought betting before the year-end I might end up empty-handed, coming to the new year, and I'm also having second thought gambling in a new year I might end up starting the year with a lost.

I sense fear here. Why not just take a break, spend the holidays with other people and gamble when the celebration is over. Gambling will not go away but the time to spend with family and friends will.

i dont think that there will be people that are going to be alone when new years eve kicks in because new year was usually noisy cause of fireworks and other materials just to make noise so people usually go out to join the happenings too  .

Not all people are the same, so expect some that will not care about New Years celebration. They rather lock themselves in a room ang gamble.
2057  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 27, 2019, 12:28:15 PM
4 consecutive defeats the coach must immediately evaluate the Lakers game. I think this will affect their mentality in the future. Yes, I understand that it is impossible for a team to win continuously. However, if you experience 4 successive defeats I think there is a big problem that occurs

Actually, IMO it is good for the team to lose sometimes. A high caliber team like Lakers will think they are invincible if they keep on winning. That will be bad in playoffs when they are playing in a series and their weakness is exposed. It will be too late then to make adjustments. At least when they lose in regular season, they can still make adjustments, trade players and remove their weakness.
2058  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: December 26, 2019, 03:03:44 PM
I was thinking that the good start by the Lakers will help them get out of the losing streak but they choke in the 2nd half, and if you saw the last turnover by Lebron James, that was really not good, that's why people call him a choker sometimes because he does not take over and he was hesitant to take the last shot to bring the game into overtime.

Why are you saying that? Why are you discrediting the defense of Beverly into Lebron choke? It is just unfair that you put the blame on Lebron and blatantly disregarding the tough defense of Beverly on Lebron on the dying seconds. Beverly should take credit on that. Clippers won because of tough defense and good offense. That is it.
