Hmm, you might have been ripped off then if they said it was November. When you had the 1.01 firmware, before you uploaded the padrino firmware, what was the maximum speed you could set in Advanced? If it was 1000Mhz then its a November Jupiter, if it was 775Mhz then it was an October Jupiter. |

Could use some troubleshooting. With the ATX connection from the board (5 straight-line pins) going to the PSU (10 pin) plugged in the board goes on and off right away. If I leave it unplugged it runs.  Also - can't get cgminer to see it, or my computer for that matter. Any drivers necessary? Using Win7 Home Premium. Not sure if the two issues are related. A. Plug nothing from the PSU to the GR board other than 1. the 4 Pci-e connectors 2. whatever the cooler pump needs to run (the H110i was a sata connector) 3. You can power additional fans from the board or PSU. B. Have you installed the drivers using zadig first? Cancel any OS detected HW driver install (takes a moment to actually cancel the process) when you plug the GR in. Edit: C. http://aphnetworks.com/tutorials/psu_paperclip_trickThanks Ranger! So I have ZADIG installed and my pc says it sees a "Mass Storage Device" by Alcor Micro Corp. Since it's the only usb plugged in beside the mouse I assume that's the GR. But I still can't get cgminer to see it. I have tried starting cold and using the .bat file above. In both cases I get:  Any other suggestions? Try starting cgminer first, then plug the USB into the card after cgminer has started. |

Less btu, less watt, lower dB, less price. 10 $ of scrap wood of if you hover around the lumber section of home depot, and ask nicely 0 $ Make the box as big as need for as many machines you have. Go so far as to insulate the interior with soundproofing foam for added measure. Very interesting. Stick it on your balcony, patio, in your basement, in your garage and you're set. That looks interesting, and cheap to deploy ... been looking for a neat solution ... going to investigate ... thanks for the seed of an idea! Except you can't buy the bloody things over here. |

It appears US Customs is holding 2-SP10's for 5 days to inspect to insure it is not counterfeit. OMFG these idiots would not know their a$$ from a hole in the ground and THEY are going to know IF a circuit is counterfeit. This is a nightmare, mean while antMiners are flying into the country at record rates, correct me if I am wrong but aren't they clones? UGH Next I guess they will STOP music piracy.. You are wrong, probably thinking about the A1 clones. Not that US customs would give a monkeys about the politics of a dumb Swiss guy who signed himself up for a dumb distro deal on a chip without realising it needed working pcbs before it was too late and the deal expired. Innosilicon who is selling the A1 chips to the "clones" is the actual manufacturer of the A1, so there are no counterfeit clones or any such thing. |

How many S2's have they shipped vs the number of damaged miners recieved? Do you have the numbers, do we even know the scope of the number of shipped S2's? I imagine its a pretty big number.
From what I remember seeing on availability numbers on the Bitmain site, it has been between 1200 and 3500 per batch, so between 5000 and 12000 total units sent out to date, I would say. It's a lot, I guess, depending on who you ask, but not really. The S2 probably takes a good amount of time longer than the S1 to make. And thats just whats sold on the site, they sell a lot more to big datafarm owners. |

No need to shill. It's clearly a carrier issue. All pictures show the case itself bent. Unless you think they manufactured a bent case, the package had to be hit with enough force to go through box, padding and still be hard enough to bend a metal case. this - that is more damage than what an upside-down/sideways shipping box would ever cause. that said, bitmain obviously needs to step up the standards a little bit if there are such rampant reports of damaged miners in shipment. there is an very easy way to know if the miner and its packaging will survive transit (and prove it to your customers): Pack it up, tape the box shut, and then roll it off the top step of a large staircase. Do this on video and then film the unboxing. If the unit is banged up and cards came loose you have an issue, since UPS will treat it no better than you just did. I'm 100% serious - really give the shipping box a hard shove so it gets some bounce. You have no idea how badly UPS and other couriers handle 'fragile' items. If the packaging is done right the unit should survive courier. Seriously? How bad do you think it is? How many S2's have they shipped vs the number of damaged miners recieved?
