2061  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] USB Risers, R9 GPUs, Asrock Pro BTC - Spring Time Sale @ MiningSource.net on: March 12, 2014, 07:30:44 AM
We are located in Canada, we have a supplier in asia that provides us with the Asrock H61. We decided to sell this board because we believe it provides a slightly better value due to cheaper lga1155 CPUs

You never state where it was shipping from until now. Is it still free shipping from CA to US?

True ivybridge 1155 were a tad cheaper a couple weeks ago, but a new celeron Haswell 1150 just released for relatively the same price. So without the price advantage, might as well go with the newer Haswell plateform. The processors:

$43 1155 - G1610 ivy bridge
$47 1150 - G1820 Haswell
2062  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Lost your money with MTGox? I have an idea to turn their failure in our success! on: March 12, 2014, 06:59:21 AM
MTgox ... have a brand,  know-how and the trained staff.

 Cheesy Any more funny jokes?
2063  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTB] Radeon HD5870 GPU's on: March 12, 2014, 06:50:35 AM
I have a few 5870's, one or two XFX and one or two sapphire. They hash at 410kh/s with only a small +25mhz bump in core. All other settings are stock. Not sure if I have the original coolers around, but I installed aftermarket arctic cooling HSF. They run cool and quiet.

Shoot me a PM with offers if interested, but please be reasonable, considering their hash rates. If you're interested in HD5830's, I have a few that's hash around 320kh/s.

2065  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: MagicalTux - let me translate on: March 12, 2014, 05:24:05 AM
And who are you? Why would he want to personally call you, when everyone and their mom also wants to speak with this guy.
2066  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: WOW!! Mt Gox returned my bitcoins and funds today! on: March 11, 2014, 05:27:28 PM
Gosh do you people fall for the trolls. A user with a single post, which is this... *facepalm*

Show a single person that believed him. He even fails at being a troll...
2067  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] USB Risers, R9 GPUs, Asrock Pro BTC - Spring Time Sale @ MiningSource.net on: March 11, 2014, 04:08:25 PM
Are you in the US? If so, how did you manage get the Asrock H61? Only the H81 variant is available.
2068  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] Custom Power Supply 1800W for Mining Rig on: March 11, 2014, 03:21:44 PM
$340... You mean the same one we can find on ebay for $30? There is also the 2000w model on ebay for $50. Might want to revise the price.

2069  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: how to force unconfirmed transaction to go through? on: March 11, 2014, 02:48:27 PM
My rough calculations shows it should confirm in about 3 to 4 days, may be less if you are in luck.

How exactly did you do this calculation? This would be useful to know in case something like this happened in the future.

You could try contacting pool operators and offering to pay them a bounty to confirm it for you.  I suspect that most pool operators won't be interested in the hassle unless you are prepared to pay at least 1 BTC.

You can try spending one of the outputs and paying a fee that is large enough to cover the costs of both transactions together.  If any mining pools have implemented "child pays for parent", then the pool might automatically confirm both transactions together.  (I'm not aware of any pools that have implemented this yet.  Hopefully they will soon, it would make it a lot easier to solve problems like this.)

Paying a bounty larger than the original amount just doesn't make sense. I won't hassle them for this small transaction.

I'm using the standard bitcoinQT client. I have no idea how to "spend one of the outputs and paying a fee large enough to cover the costs of both transactions together."
2070  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: R9 280X on: March 11, 2014, 01:06:29 PM
You haven't even bothered to look at basic specs or reviews? There is a plethora of links for this info.
2071  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / how to force unconfirmed transaction to go through? on: March 11, 2014, 12:47:07 PM
I made a payment of 0.4 btc and forgot to pay usual 0.001 btc fee. It's been roughly 12 hours and still not a single confirmation, and I've never had this before. It shows up on the blockchain but still unconfirmed, is there any way I can still pay the fee to push it through? And how long will these 0.4btc be stuck in limbo for? Here's the transaction:

2072  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: My BTC stolen by the Trojan in MtGox2014Leak!! Everyone don't run the .exe app! on: March 11, 2014, 04:39:28 AM
I don't understand. OP, you held that many BTCs and left the unencrypted hot wallet in plain sight on your computer? Knowing this, you still opened a blatantly obvious virus/trojan?

What do you possibly think you can get from opening a MtGox2014 file? I think if you gotten a program that was named walletstealer.exe, you'd open that too.
2073  Economy / Services / Re: ☆★☆Maidaks Free Escrow Service☆★☆ on: March 08, 2014, 09:37:41 AM
I asked him for escrow. The transaction ended up being canceled at the very end, but Maidak was very willing to proceed with the service had it gone through. Shows that he's a helpful guy. Thanks anyways!
2074  Economy / Long-term offers / Re: 20 bitcoin loan on: March 07, 2014, 10:18:10 AM
I don't understand these kinds of requests. Why don't I just use my own 20 BTC to buy my own miner rather than let you benefit? What would we get from loaning you the btc?
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 06, 2014, 09:53:31 PM
This is from the last 2 pages, SERIOUSLY? wtf does this have anything to do with this pool? This just pollutes the thread. Please make another thread to have your orgy.

Perhaps slightly off topic, but just wanted... [snip]

It has something to do with gpu hw acceleration... [snip]

If your intensity is high you will see a drop doing anything, [snip]

Yes, that's what I use

Or you can use the integrated graphics... [snip]

Intensity is 13 (it's a 280X card, and 13 seems to suit it well)... [snip]

First, go to the bios and set integrated to primary. Then you can plug it... [snip]

that dummy plug works with r290?i mean can i use igpu with r290?

Cool, Thanks for the info, Don't suppose you know if teamviewer hits the gpu at all ? [snip]

Nope, you have to use real monitor cable and a real monitor. Good is most monitors have more than 1 port, use something hdmi and dvi

my monitor has 3ports:1 analog,1 dvi,1 hdmi... [snip]

no, but sometimes when i connect i see the main card drop a few kh, but then creeps back up to its normal rate.

I found out to install properly the amd drivers the igpu needs to be disabled...[snip]

Same here. Not a big deal tho.

If it has a DVI-I connector, you can use the dummy plug... [snip]

or u can use an amd based system , and it loads all its drivers w/o dummyplug...[snip]

you can browse when using BAMT

I forgot to tell that the first resistor is enough. You don't need 3.
2076  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: sapphire r9 290 only getting 558kh UGH! on: March 06, 2014, 09:36:37 PM
Try these settings:

--scrypt -I 20 -g 1 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 24500 --auto-fan --auto-gpu --gpu-engine 1025 --gpu-memclock 1500 --gpu-powertune 20
2077  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: (WTS) XFX r9 270x New Condition on: March 06, 2014, 01:16:47 PM
Overpriced, I'm selling mine for $235.

lol way to threadcrap.

Your $235 is overpriced. MSRP is $200.
2078  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / BTC balance of old unencrypted wallet still remains?? on: March 06, 2014, 09:46:31 AM
I'm using the official Bitcoin-Qt client and I used the built in function to encrypt the wallet. My understanding is that after the wallet.dat file is encrypted, all old pool of unused private keys are deleted. This essentially means that any old unencrypted backups of the wallet.dat file are useless.

However, just for testing purposes, a small amount of btc was sent to the new encrypted wallet, then I imported an old unencrypted wallet.dat file into the bitcoin-Qt client. The btc balance still shows up in the old unencrypted wallet. Why is this so? Can btc in this old unencrypted wallet still be spent?
2079  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 05, 2014, 10:34:24 AM
OP, you won't win either way from the CoinMarket.io scam. If you remove them from "unexchanged", people will complain the day's payout is low. If you move them to "sent", people will complain payout is lower than sent stats. Sucks we lost those 12 btc, but I'm supportive of whichever way you want to deal with these coins we never got.
2080  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: March 04, 2014, 02:14:55 AM
poolwaffle, I know you said you're for a few days, but please check what's going on with the pool as of now. Today's average is a historically low, at only 0.0064 BTC/MH. Sure it could just be bad luck, but this is too big of a dip for just luck I think.
