I've been on the standard Qt client since 2011, and looking to finally switch to Armory. But here's a few questions I had:


1) I already have the whole block chain up to date for the Qt, is it possible I use the database already on my computer rather than downloading a new one for Armory?

2) I want to keep my current wallet.dat from the Qt client, is it possible to transfer over all addresses from this wallet, as well as the transaction history from the Qt to Armory?

For any potential lenders, I would first do some full research on Havelock as collateral. I've seen someone on the forum mention that havelock shares are not easily transferable. Someone else also requested a loan from me, also offering Havelock as collateral, however I refused it simply because I was familiar with Havelock, and had no desire to learn about it just to hold it as collateral.

So make sure you do your research on: 1) how easy it is to transfer back and forth, 2) how hard is it to be reversed, 3) how fast it can be sold in case of a default.

My shortest loan given was a duration of only a few hours (already repaid), longest is about a year. I'm not too focused on high interest rates, but rather if the loan is for a genuine need, and if you're trustworthy enough. Of course, "genuine need" and "trustworthy" is not black and white, so that's why I'd have to screen out potential scammers.

The longer the requested duration, the more likely it'll get denied. The larger the amount, the more likely it'll get denied. But your profile and forum activity precedes all of these.

You can test for real gold by measuring dimensions and the weight, but to be really sure you'll have to use an XRF. These are not cheap, and most coin shops or local dealers should have one. If a local dealer does not have a XRF machine, then you'll know to never buy there.

Denied. Even if you do work for a btc company and get paid in btc, that doesn't mean that you'll actually pay back the loan. Your forum account is not worth 2.5btc, so you can easily run off with that amount.
