Gogo- If it wasn't you that asked for a 2 year history before a book could be rated an "A", then it was another guy very familiar with both fiat and bitcoin books. I assumed it was you but could be mistaken. It's in the thread. Others asked for a stricter guidelines for grades and this was implemented. Maximum grade based upon time in business:
A - 2 years B - 1 year C - 3 months D - 1 month F - reserved for books that are scams, slow paying or stiffing players

Which sportsbooks other than Directbet has instant payouts? Only asking because that's the most important thing for me, I saw some of the complaints in this section where some people had to wait upwards of 24 hours after initiating the withdrawal and this is not acceptable to me at all. Also, I don't see why Directbet is still stuck on 'C', I don't think these ratings are accurate, to me they seem bias, no offense. A Poll should have been really useful in determining the real results because it seems even after inputs from various members some of the sportsbooks are wrongly rated.
It's well known that Peeps Place is highly biased against DirectBet. This stems back to last year, if you check the old thread you will see that basically DirectBet accused Peeps of lowering their rating as DirectBet refused to pay Peeps for advertising. Pretty simple stuff and very plausible. As you and others have mentioned, there's no reason for DB to still be a C category book. DirectBet was a fairly new book unhappy with their rating. They spammed and shilled daily which caused the closing of the original thread. The only rule for books was to keep their conversation to their own book. DirectBet refused to do this. DirectBet falsely claimed that Anonibet scammed posters in 4 different contests. Now that DirectBet has become civilized, they no longer send in shills with false claims against other books. If DirectBet can figure out a way to insure immediate confirmation of bets, then the rating will be raised. As of this time the possibility exists that a player may not get a confirmation/rejection of a bet in an acceptable time period. For another point of view, see post #1386: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=448302.1380 gogo- the change in ratings was done in large part to you saying that books should have a proven track record. That's why the 2 year minimum was added.

I see many negative posts against cloudbet, and I was afraid CB is a scam, but I follow some high level forum members, they said CB is best one in btc community, I trusted them, I found CB is the best one, with instant deposits and instant withdrawals in most cases, CB has highest odds in the industry, even higher than bwin, williamhill, bet 365, only lower than pinnacle. Now I doubt those post negative posts on CB's OP are directbet's shill accounts? Btw, I hate DB, ugly UI and retarded low odds- lowest in industry. Thanks for the input on Cloudbet. I don't see any evidence of shill/ghost accounts in this thread here. They seem to be true opinions and experiences.

Nitrogen will have live betting for the NE/Pitt NFL game tomorrow.
Good to know that. Do you know if it is only for that game , or if it is a test for adding live betting to the other games and other sports in the future? Just heard that Nitrogen will have live betting on Sunday for the NFL along with tonight.

What are your thoughts on Fairlay? Seems like it has the potential for the best odds?
I agree with you in that Fairlay has a lot of potential. They have a clean payout history. One thing holding their rating down is that they aren't meeting the 15 minute payout limit. They are still working out some minor kinks but have a high ceiling with their model and offerings.

DirectBet uses the "back" odds from Betfair adding more take out. There is a minimum amount needed at Betfair for DirectBet to put up a line. Many times there aren't lines up on one side or both since lines are dependent upon lines at an exchange. The lines at DirectBet aren't competitive in American markets.
With deposit books when a bet is placed , the player gets notice if the bet is accepted or rejected in a short period of time. With DirectBet confirmation of accepting/rejecting a bet isn't made until the time the money leaves the players wallet until it reaches DirectBet's wallet.
Most of the time this is immediate but there is also the possibility of not knowing if a bet is accepted or rejected for an hour or more. While this hasn't happened for a while, a few months ago confirmations were delayed on a daily basis. Most of the time it was due to the site going up and down, but it can be from any delay in DirectBet receiving a bet after coins leaving the player's wallet.
DirectBet once had the advantage of being a non-deposit book but the advantage no longer exists with the speed in which deposits and withdrawals occur at other books. Some have instant deposit/withdrawals.
Books rated "B-" and higher are recommended books. DirectBet isn't capable of meeting the recommended status due to the system in which they use to confirm/reject bets. There should never be extended delays. One delay is one too many.
Very interesting, so no point to rate DirectBet now? They are rated a "C" now. Some ratings are going to go up/down as well as opening ratings on NR books after week 1 of the NFL. Peeps - What is the amount of time for a withdrawal from a BTC book that you deemed acceptable?
I believe within 5 minutes?

You might want to update about BTCBOOK about being a confirmed scam in the first post. Also any reason not to consider Directbet under the A or B graded book ? One risk about sportsbooks is that they can scam for the funds but since they offer instant payouts after game, I believe that alone is a big step towards developing a good trust.
Thanks for the update on BTCBOOK. This was written earlier on DirectBet DirectBet uses the "back" odds from Betfair adding more take out.
