2081  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Will these coins survive 5 years? on: October 22, 2021, 02:53:58 PM
I have all of these coins:

ETH 40%
CARDANO 20%
POKALDOT 20%
TERRA LUNA 5%
THETA 15%
Avax: 10%

Are my coins going to last is it likely?
NOT all, IMO.
Avax and THETA, I really don't know about these coins nor have positive feelings about them. It is likely they are just another shitcoins that later on they will die.

I hope I was wrong and you are right but have to warn you about the not known project as they don't have any fortune. I think you have to take a look at the team behind those projects that have been mentioned above before you make a decision otherwise you will fail.
2082  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 22, 2021, 12:29:04 PM
I'm not sure if they can still come back in this game, TNT had 16 points lead in the 1st half, they need to have a strong 3rd quarter for them to be able to make it a close game or a single-digit lead by the TNT only. They did not show the aggressiveness that they need and their shot selections were not perfectly planned, I hope they could at least cover the spread.

You are right, they have a strong 3rd quarter and actually, they were able to close with TNT by trimming their lead to 4 points only, but TNT came back and they are now leading by 9 points, but don't worry, there's still plenty of time, who knows we will see a surprise here and Magnolia will win.

edit : Calvin Abueva has fouled out, Magnolia in trouble now.  Lips sealed

This is over now, over 1 minute and TNT is still leading by 11 points, there's no chance Magnolia would be able to make a miracle here.

So after this game, it will be 2-0, still believe in Magnolia and we will go all-in in game 3.

Congrats to TNT, 2 games with an easy win.

I'm happy with the Clippers, I think they are a good team to bet on now since Leonard is out for the season and that will make them an underrated team. We saw how PG lead the team, he is better now compared to last season and he still got the supporting casts that are ready to contribute.

For those who bet on the Clippers +4, they won their bet, so do it again next time if they are still an underdog.
2085  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: The rise of Axie Infinity on: October 21, 2021, 11:14:12 PM
Its a simple move because of massive attraction on the market since the hype of the opportunity of earning on its platform massively influenced widely.
Moreover in this pandemic, any chance to earn money would really catchy.
It becomes famous now and many people know about the Axie game which brought huge attention to the community especially when hearing about possibly earning huge money for just playing. Even without knowing the risk they face, many beginners had got an interest in this.

It was clearly the high buying demand that pushes the price of Axie gem going high. It keeps on rallying a few months ago and it hits more these days due to bulgar information as it was published on social media.

TIPs: Have to warn newcomers, don't be hyped, and never invest money if you don't know how to play this game and must aware of the scam sites as well.
2086  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is the bitcoin going to burst anytime soon on: October 21, 2021, 10:23:00 PM
My wife was in a Chase bank today and overheard a chase bank rep stating to a customer, that the bitcoin is NOT going to last much longer.
Especially because the bitcoin continuing to grow in value. I guess that as a result of the increase and nothing backing and/or supporting it.
That as a result it can no longer continue to exist, if I am understanding this analysis...If somehow there could be a discontinuance of the bitcoin,
how does this effect the other forms of cryptocurrencies???
Okay, but just look around and see on the internet, you can find and tell your wife that she is wrong. They got manipulated by their boss as their business might be shutdown and she was also afraid to lose her job if people will no longer use their services. If they are just being open-minded and accept the said market development, they will see that Bitcoin is growing and continue to grow in the future.

Honestly, we can't hear any good from the banks as these institutions are the leading haters of Bitcoin since before. They are afraid to lose their existence but as we can see, it was not going to happen and much more if they adopt the system as well.
2087  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Reymart Gaballo (WBC bantamweight) on: October 21, 2021, 01:02:48 PM
This is a better between a young and hungry fighter against an experience champion, we know who would likely win but if you believe on the ability of Gaballo, you should never doubt putting a bet for him.

I have been following this match up as it catches my interest on Gaballo as a promising next Filipino boxer, and Donaire is a big step to that ladder.
One of the Filipino boxing analyst told an article what Gaballo could do to possibly beat Donaire, and to my surprise it's not really that hard to achieve as Gaballo is young and KOed almost every opponent.
So, I guess being aggressive isn't gonna be a problem for Gaballo, but to hurt Donaire might be hard especially when Donaire's head movement and footwork is almost the same as his prime days.
Betting on Gaballo is actually a good bet here IMO.
This is a big challenge for Gaballo though he has a good chance to win considering the age of Donaire and his previous matches. There's no final date for this fight so they both have enough time to prepare for this big match. I can't decide where to predict honestly after making some research for both boxer. Donaire is eager to win here so he can advance to the up and fight Inoue, while Gaballo is aiming to be on the spot light as well so this is a big fight this year for both boxer.

As always, a young boxer would go to this kind of challenge if he wants to succeed, he needs to beat the best in the division and since this is a mandatory fight, there's nothing they can do but to fight although they are both the price of the Philippines.  I love Donaire, I'm a big fan but I also like the young Gaballo as he as the heart of a real warrior who never gives up, it's very evident in his previous fight, he works hard so he won the fight.
2088  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gervonta Davis vs. Rolando Romero - December 5 on: October 21, 2021, 12:16:17 PM
^^ Who wouldn't love that? Lol.

Yes, there are even some videos as well with Romero talking about how he have the power and going to knock the f*** out of Davis in their fight.

I guess they really learn everything from Floyd himself. But at least Floyd can back it up, but this Romero hasn't prove anything a bit. We haven't heard his name before though, so now he is making a lot of noise and maybe he can get some fans that will hate him.  Grin

He learns from his master, lol.. but this fight is the best chance for him to get known to the boxing community, beating Davis who is currently a champion and undefeated will have a big impact on his career and he will get bigger fights in the future, so he has to train hard and focus on making a strategy to beat Davis.
2089  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would you quit Bitcoin if a shitcoin like Ethereum surpassed it? on: October 20, 2021, 10:52:18 PM
Seeing other users that are up for the market cap and price of the coin just makes me smh. Jeez.
Why not invest to all of the coins out there if one is up for the price only? I have been a Bitcoiner since early 2017, and even if those other coins in the market went mainstream, I never zeroed my Bitcoins for something that would not even last overnight.
You don't need to urge them as it is clear to see that they don't know about Bitcoin and so Ethereum. That OP wanted to divert and trick our minds as it never happens that altcoins/shitcoins will surpass Bitcoin.

I think we have done with this discussion and we can't deny that these altcoins just exist because of Bitcoin and if Bitcoin will die, they will also be dead. Maybe I would quit investing ETH and put all of it into Bitcoin, which comes to reality.
2090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do You Use Technical Analysis? on: October 20, 2021, 10:16:25 PM
Do you use technical analysis when you trade bitcoin?

It is the way we are able to make trading more profitable as it helps to make decisions out of this highly volatile market. Many people never appreciate this thing as they never understand and try it in real life. But of course, we can't just rely fully on TA, it must be accompanied by our strategies and mindset.

Quote
If yes, what are the best strategies? Bitcoin is so volatile now.
-you must have to trust the market
-try to analyze the chart
-take advantage of every correction
-Don't get frustrated when you lose but instead, accept it and have to prove to yourself that you can do it.
2091  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: October 20, 2021, 12:16:45 PM
34-53 in favor of TNT, that's the halftime score.

Probably that's the reason why the handicap keeps rising, but I'm hoping that Magnolia will be able to have a big run in the 3rd quarter.

ML odds - Magnolia 9,75 and spread is +16.5. Good luck, choose your pick now.  Smiley

With the looks of it, I think this game belongs to TNT, and forcing to bet for Magnolia might not be good for now.

I did really think that this would be a close game but turns out to be a blown-out one.

I bet on the 3rd quarter only, I got Magnolia -2.5 for 3rd quarter.
I'm thinking maybe they need to have to play strong in the 3rd quarter to bring the lead of the TNT into single digit only in the 4th quarter.

Yes, it's also a risky bet but I will take the risk here.

Sorry for your loss man, this is the first time I saw the Magnolia getting dominated by an opponent, TNT is really something and if they will sweep the Magnolia, I would understand it because they have a lot of options on players that will generate points for them and Mikey Williams just proved his worth again and he deserved to get a max contract, not a rookie one.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 20, 2021, 11:38:07 AM

Charles said he didn't need to change, just be Westbrook again. Let's give him more time to adjust and I know he will get through it.

It's too early to judge but what we saw in the preseason is really happening here, Westbrook struggles continue and I don't know how long the Lakers would be able to tolerate that. I hope they'll win in the next few games though and I hope that Westbrook will be able to blend well as this team is his big chance to win his first championship.
2093  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Putin believes Bitcoin has value on: October 19, 2021, 09:05:24 PM
But even so, it shows that Russia seems to be adopting a friendly position facing cryptocurrency and it may be having some impact on the industry. Given that China adopted a harsh position towards cryptos, is it possible that miners are relocating from China to Russia? Is it possible for Russia to step up to occupy the former place China had in Bitcoin? I guess this is what is happening, otherwise, Putin wouldn't come public with such a neutral position.
Russia is an important energy provider for Eastern Europe. They have energy in abundance especially from gas and coal sources. The prices stay around 0.064$/kWh. It's half of the energy's price in my country, and although it looks great for me for that reason, I don't know if it's an attractive price to set up mining farms or if it should be even cheaper.
The negative side is that renewable sources of energy are almost inexistent in Russia, what could lead many people to criticize this move from russian government and bitcoin once again, just like we have seen in another countries.
The people will criticize this move if they don't understand this thing but if they consider this as additional revenue, I believe they will open their minds and embrace this new technology. They can put out renewable sources of energy if they want to just to support miners, this will be the best remedy to high mining costs and electricity charges. There are always ways to find if they want to and I think, the Russian government has to think that as well. This will not just give benefits to a few people but this could be for everyone.
2094  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is this a right time to buy some ethereum?. on: October 19, 2021, 08:23:33 PM
I think that it is always the right time to buy Ethereum. I see it as one of the best options for long-term investments. And it is on a really awesome run in the recent times as it is getting close to going above $4k. If you are a patient person, I would say go for it. Ethereum price has a big potential ahead and I expect it to reach at least $10k in the long run.
We never found the right time about buying potential coins but it was more advantageous and profiting when we do this during the bear season or during price correction and in fact, this has been a usual practice by many. At this moment while ETH is on the rally, I think we have to wait for some correction but if it is not a big deal buying at a high price, then have to go with it. ETH will surely survive long-term and the price will still be moving high which I believe it will reach $5000 in the near future.
2095  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: October 19, 2021, 01:37:21 PM

It's over, the deadline has expired, you just have to think about giving Bridges a extension worth $90 million and then Ayton didn't get any max deal. And if Ayton has another break out year this season and become a free agent, what will Phoenix do? offer the max contract then? What if teams are already courting him already and giving him more money? We don't know what Robert Sarver is thinking but this is a big gamble on his side.

It's a gamble from Phoenix. Ayton deserves the max deal. He's one of the reason why they play in the finals.

If he stays healthy till next season, for sure we will see lots of courting offers for him. Stay humble and play well. It's Suns loss if he chooses to play

with a different uniform next season. Or, there are underground deal or something that gives him perks that will let him enjoy staying with the Sun,

unknown deal behind to cover that max deal issue, we never know, right?

I don't know if an underground deal is happening in the NBA, I think all the deals are transparent as it's a basis for the taxation. If Ayton would choose to play with other team after his contract expires, then we can assume that he is getting better offer than with the Phoenix, he is still young and at his age it's important for him to sell himself well so he can maximize his income while he is fully healthy.

I doubt that there will be underground deal or under the table deal in NBA.

Of course, he says that he wanted to stay with Phoenix, but with the current development he is really disappointed with how the management handles his case. Definitely Bridges getting a good extension and his other 2018 draftees getting tons of money, extensions and perks, maybe Ayton performance will be impacted by this news. For sure he still needs to play better this season for Phoenix so that he will have to get a better deal outside. And then we will see what happens next.

There's no reason for Ayton not to play well because of that news, if Phoenix is not giving him a max contract, he will surely find a team that would give him that in the future. Ayton is one of the best big men in the NBA, he is healthy and he could be very vital for the success of the team especially from a team that has a chance to win a championship.
2096  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: October 19, 2021, 12:26:58 PM
Good luck everyone on whatever your pick tomorrow.

We will see the opening of the NBA regular season tomorrow and I'm betting on Bucks -1 as my only bet.
I would pass on the Laker as they are inconsistent during the preseason, so I'll just observe how they'll play in game 1.
2097  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which alt coin is best investment for long term? on: October 18, 2021, 11:44:46 PM
If you are looking for long-term, these top 10 altcoins have met your criteria. Don't look into new projects as they are mostly in a short term, although we can make some profit from them, however, it was too risky and making a bad choice will lead to losing.

I invest more in BNB and ETH, and I also put some amounts to Axie and SOL. And the future of this investment will depend on their performance either they become long-term or short-term. But these BNB and ETH could be my long-term investment and planning to accumulate more once correction will come again.
2098  Other / Archival / Re: The beginning of the end of traditional payment processors? on: October 18, 2021, 05:58:00 PM
These traditional businesses have to compete with bitcoin in terms of fees, and that can be done by reducing the fees. However, since El Salvador promotes bitcoin, I doubt MoneyGram and Western Union will be able to survive in this business competition, and you are right, it could be the beginning of their fall as some countries are also considering to legalize bitcoin and follow the path of what El Salvador has taken.
2099  Economy / Economics / Re: What are common arguments for Bitcoin? on: October 18, 2021, 05:41:35 PM
Will this makes me rich?

That's what the newbies think of bitcoin especially those who do not have enough knowledge on it.
Ponzi schemes do exist and they are using the popularity of bitcoin by offering investments with good offers and when the investors heard of bitcoin, they are usually misleading on what bitcoin is, so they'll invest and think bitcoin is a guaranteed profit while in reality, they invest on the Ponzi scheme itself.

I think what's needed is for people to learn the basics of crypto, understanding it will reduce the risk.
2100  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is it too late to buy? on: October 17, 2021, 11:01:00 PM
The problem with many newbies is that they want to enter the market just at the perfect moment, they want to enter just when a crash is ending and get out exactly at the moment the bull market is over and this is simply not realistic to do, we must accept that our timing most likely is never going to be perfect and yet find a way to be profitable under those circumstances, I still think the price we are seeing right now is a great opportunity to invest in bitcoin for the long term, but if others do not see it that way I am fine with that I just do not want to hear from them when they complain about not investing in the market when they had the opportunity.
Not exactly the thing that I know with many of them.

Majority of the newbies are scared to buy during the downs and dumps. They're only encouraged to buy when they see it started to move positively.

They're rushing when that time comes and they're regretting that they've bought late but in fact, when the market is just passive they don't buy and see the opportunity within it.
And the usual thing I see is that they mostly riding on the hypes and don't stay long, they sell them ASAP once they are in profit. Not that really that smart idea but they are in profit, unlike the others. And this is far different from the real investors who will take risks buying during the dip and hold longer (if possible).

Well, I'm not going to wonder why newbies look like this as they are just about to learn from their experience. But these people will not able to survive when the market turns to bearish.
