2101  Economy / Speculation / Re: Elon Musk says the price of BTC will rise on: November 21, 2022, 09:14:54 PM
A few days ago, Elon Musk responded to a friend's tweet saying that the price of BTC may increase by the end of winter.  He also asked everyone to be patient.  It means that the future of BTCL is very bright and its price will increase.  We are all waiting for this winter to end and the market to return to its previous form.  InshaAllah the price of BTC and digital currency will return to the previous room thanks

Who cares what elon musk thinks.  He doesn't know just like everyone else when bitcoin price will rise.  He can effect things like altcoin (doge) prices because of the volume it had when he leaned in on it.  He has no bearing over bitcoin price and people need to stop following his every word.  Think for yourself what makes sense on past rise and falls.

I'm liking some road games today.  3 games so far:

Memphis +7.5 on the road at Nets.  Memphis last year was even better without ja believe it or not record wise.

Detroit +10 on the road.

And Miami +10 at clevland

Secretly I like the Suns-6 but that's against my knicks so I can't bet against them.

1-2 last night not good.  Guess that's what I get for going all away teams lol.

Tonight its 3 games and all home games:

Clevland -2.5 against Atlanta
Pacers -6.5 against Orlando
And last but not least Clippers-3 home against jazz.  I'm still not buying Jazz are gonna be a top team in the west this year.  Early luck/success

USA 1 - 0 Wales
USA has scored, one goal against Wales. USA plays more than Wales in all ramifications.
The match is getting more interesting now. Wales managed to get a few goal chances, but failed to score an equalizer. But there is always hope for a draw in this match because it looks like USA will try to defend this victory.

Now the match is tied at 1-1. The first half was completely boring. I did not see a tendency to attack or score goals among the players of any team. But in the second half the match became enjoyable. The players of both the teams tried hard to score. And both teams played well. Bale scored from the penalty in the 82nd minute of the match. They will play for another 10 minutes. But I think both teams will be happy with a draw. No team will want to admit defeat in the first match.

I don't think the US would just like to settle for a draw but they eventually did.  Good to pick up a point but the wales/eng, US/England score might end up being huge in trs of who could grab the second spot.  Not optimal but better than dropping the match to Wales.

The England game was a complete stinker of a game but this Netherlands-Senegal game has been entertaining.  Surprised Netherlands hasn't put one through yet.  10 minutes left and Senegal just had a great opportunity.

What's everyone's thoughts on the US game later today?

This has been a tough year for me. My other two leagues I’m doing well in but injuries are stacking up and likely to keep me from the promise land per usual lol. I don’t mind losing, like in this league my team just isn’t that good, but in my other leagues it’s the losing due to injuries (mostly or at least partly) that is brutal.

Losing to Hampz this week surely knocks me out of contentions. Ah well.

Yeah I'm pretty content in this league.  No chance for winning so no stress each week 😄

In 1st and 3rd in my other leagues they have faired better than this year's squad here.  Running back situation is rough.

Punt return TD seconds before the end of regulation, wow, what a way to lose the game @Jets!  I can't complain since i have Pats D/ST, those points could be decisive in a super tight match with Barbarians.

Jets coin flip dude is still undefeated though...👀, that's 10 in a row!

Wow as a giants fan it's been a pretty disappointing day but Detroit pretty much ran the giants end to end no drama.  As a jets fan that hurts.  A huge game in division for the jets, and after all those Brady years this was their chance.  That's why you watch!  I can't wait to see the Dallas/minn game.  Of course I'd like to see the cowboys lose but I just want to see a good game out of this one.

Kings to playoffs this season ? I could see this happening as they have a great core of players around Sabonis that could help him playing at its best and so far he delivers as Kings are 7th place in Western Conference.

Raptors are also looking juicy this year and they have a hard game tonight against Hawks and I'm willing to take a bet against Raptors tonight and I can also watch the game live on my national TV as they have only 1 live game per night and this is the one they are having today and also taking Portland in 1st quarter because I can see them having a great run so they just need some balance in order to start at least a short winning streak. Grin

This might be the year they squeak in but it's a long time before anyone can start thinking playoffs, so many things shift the season. Like injuries and trades.  You can see the west shaping up to be a tough conference to get through.  If fox keeps playing like he has though they are gonna be fine.  Him and sarongs are key to a good run.
2109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: St. Kitts and Nevis legalize Bitcoin Cash (BCH) as a means of payment on: November 19, 2022, 08:06:48 PM
The government's decision of St. Kitts and Nevis to make BCH the legal tender for payments in the country would be bullish news for the future of Bitcoin. In my opinion, the more countries that legalize the use of Cryptocurrency as a transaction tool, the brighter the future of BTC will be.
On the contrary, governments legalizing shitcoins like BitcoinCash could impede adoption as citizens would associate failure if the currency to pick up to Bitcoin, which is the leading cryptocurrency. Altcoins and CBDCs alike are just distractions, which I don't believe has any significant, long lasting effect on the trajectory of Bitcoin, in terms of adoption and popularity.
If you consider the country which has adopted Bitcoin directly, it really has not had much of an effect on the market, and that's a good thing in my opinion; government's policies does not influence the market, it's actions of traders that do.
Ave.

Agreed this is terrible if true.  Having a country of people involved in what easily could be a failed experiment is a terrible idea.  Starting with bitcoin then fan pit from there not the other way around.  This will end bad for those people

On the other hand Dwight Howard was having fun in a Taiwan Basket League. He did a great job entertaining the crowd. I guess that was a sold out arena, all because of him.
It's just funny how he took more 3s in that game than in his whole career in the NBA. Not a bad thing though, as he is exploring to expand his range.

I was very surprised by the news when I first heard it. Dwight Howard could still find a place in many NBA teams, but I don't understand why no team signed him. In Taiwan, it's like a one man show. He's having fun and entertaining, and he's got a good contract. Normally, although there is an upper limit in the Taiwan League, a special law has been enacted for him and he is provided with a higher salary.
I wonder what will happen to Carmelo Anthony. He may be a good bench player, but for some reason no team is willing to do so. There are also claims that he can go to one of the European leagues. Personally, I would love to continue watching him in the NBA.

Carmelo is not gonna play outside the US.  Him and Dwight are 2 completely different personalities.  And he will be signed, once the NBA injuries start racking up and the season moves along a te that emerges as a contender will reach out.  He isn't built for the entire season anymore so someone will snag him after the all star break.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: November 19, 2022, 06:36:14 PM

Congratulations on this parlay win bro! That Sixers pick is very dangerous since Bucks is on streak and very strong. I’m surprised that Giannis didn’t go beast mode to matchup Embiid aggression since he always do that when the enemy team pushes him to his limit. Your parlay will be more exciting if you add Lakers on your pick.  Cheesy

I am staying away from the Lakers for the meantime. The same with Brooklyn Nets. They have destroyed a lot of my parlay this season. Until I see some consistency with the Lakers and Nets, I will avoid betting on their matches.

I want to congratulate too Lakers for picking up there 2 winstreak without Lebron. Many bashers is now speculating that LBJ is really the problem of Lakers which is hilarious af.

We can't blame the fans for speculating about that. The Lakers started to come to life after Lebron was out because of injury. The ball rotation is better, the defense is better, and the offense is great.

He can shut them all up after he returns from injury and the Lakers are still winning with him.

Betting against the lakers has been great I don't know why you would lay off.  I think the Lakers are 4-10 against the spread this year.  Always happens, people over bet them due to their popularity and move the lines the wrong way.  I'm laying against the Lakers every game until they showed me they can turn it around.

There are only two days until the World Cup, and Qatar has put forth a lot of effort to ensure its success. Making thoughtful accommodations and security arrangements is not an easy task, however, as I recently saw in a video of the Poland team being escorted by an F1 fighter jet. I wish all the players luck. Players like Ronaldo should just retire he has made name already.

If he is still better than the guy behind him why would Ronaldo retire or Portugal not play him because he has already had a good career.  Once he stops being effective then yeah but as of now he isn't going anywhere.  Wondering how Portugal will do this go around.  Lots of good story lines in this cup, shoukd be a good one.
2113  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 18, 2022, 10:47:26 PM
Anfernee Simons is really an important player for Trail Blazers now. In the absence of Lillard due to calf injury, Simons was making a really good contribution to the team. There have been so many games that he scored 20+ points. Lillard also has come back strong with nice performances. He made three double-doubles in his last three games.

Trail Blazers are one of the surprising teams so far as well. Because currently they are leading the Western Conference with 10 wins and 5 losses. We are still in very early phases of the regular season of course. Besides the most important part is going to be the playoffs. If they maintain a consistent effort then they might be one of the serious contenders for the championship who knows.

Simmons is gonna be a real good player in 2/3 years.  Young and an alpha dog already.  He will end up being a perennial all star one day.  That's the chances you take drafting a real young player.  You could end up striking gold with the later picks.  Wouldn't mind the Knicks snagging him.

Just seen they backed out having beer served at the games.  Kind of weak bailing at the last second, it kind of comes with the territory.  They are gonna miss out on a lot of money not having beer sales, which induces other sales.  The fan centers where beer is gonna be served is gonna be out of control lol.
2115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SBF BEGGED INVESTORS on: November 17, 2022, 09:37:25 PM
FTX's death was because SBF used user funds from FTX to transfer to Alameda, Alameda used that money for investment and mortgage lending, from that very reason led to the collapse of FTX. It makes me wonder if anyone will trust a man like SBF enough to support him and invest in him again. He is a really talented guy but with such a lack of transparency in his work, it is not worth trusting anymore and a debt of up to 8 billion is a very large number, this has caused Binance to refuse to buy back FTX because if they buy back FTX, it will also have to pay FTX's debt of 8 billion.

No one in theor right mind would bail Sam out on this one.  Sam is NOT a smart business man.  Who would have "loaned" Alemdea that money in the first place and at what point is ethics not talked about.  This is still the wild west I love it lol.  And honestly why do people use exchanges like a wallet service for him to even have access to that kind of dough.  Shame on people for not learning.  This WILL happen again.

Took a couple days off from the games bit there is some good games on deck tonight.  Locking in 4 games

Bucks -4 gotta ride the Bucks here
Mavs -6.5 doncic is just too good, think they roll tonight
NO -1.5 this is one of my dark horse teams.
Toronto -1.5. They are tough at home and think it will be close but they win this game against Miami.

Good luck and enjoy the games everyone!

3-1 last night mavs dropped a dud on me.  Tonight is a 3 game set and I like all the home teams tonight:

Blazers -2.5
Kings -7
Clippers -9

And as an added bonus some college basketball picks

SC State +41 on the road against kentucky..  I'm not buying Kentucky and even if they blow them out calipers will pull his starters on a blowout.  See thos as an 85-51 type game.

And Arizon -28 against Utah tech.  They should blow this team out by a ton.  Thinking 84-47 type of game.

Good luck and enjoy the game peeps!

Its a real battle for last place this week between me and wheelz, but there can be only one.

Wheelz don't forget to put in a defense so you can beat me, which I'm feeling you probably will, given the shit luck I've been having lately.

Lost Kupp and M. Thomas, my two best receivers. Even with both Allen and Saquon Barkley my team has still been putting up shit numbers...

Well, someone has to fail so others can succeed. That's what I told myself when taking pre-med classes in college which were hard AF, and proof that I shouldn't try to be a doctor.

Yeah it's gonna be a tight battle.  I scooped up Washington's defense for this week they will be going in.  The question that is rumbling through my noggin this week is do I stick with amon st brown or do I go with Terry scouring McLaurin.  Will be a game time gut decision but that might have an impact to my bottom line.  My running back sitch is pretty bad this week, td dependent backs.  Good luck to you sir!
2118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: November 17, 2022, 07:59:05 PM
It was actually through the help of Elon Musk Doge was able to attain such height of getting to $0.78 thereabout but even it could get that particular price it will take another new strategies to achieves it again otherwise i don't think it may be possible to see it at $1 not even this year nor next year, so indepthly this could be for long term investment maybe buy and hold after the next bitcoin halving something pretty cool may likely happened.

Yeah that was on the heel of three things converging, elon, massive bull run and people fed up with covid/gov and tagged along for the meme run.

Elon is way too busy nowadays with twitter, we are long away from another massive bull run and the eme craze is ded.  That coupled with a constant mint of 10k new coins a minute is gonna burn doge up.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 17, 2022, 07:56:34 PM
Knicks had a great win in Denver on the road.  Yep Denver was without jokic but going out west in Denver is never easy no matter the lineup.  2-0 on the west coast trip they need to get some wins behind them and clear space between being .500

Thibs is now locked into a 9 man rotation which seems to be working.  They go into golden state Friday night, I'm not expecting much from that visit but that's why they play the games right!  Glad nba is getting underway, fall is always the best season for sports.
2120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Doge can it go 1$ on: November 16, 2022, 10:38:00 PM
Doge can go 1$ many people waiting that.

Based on what?  Just because people want it to go up doesn't mean it should or it will.  A lot of people want to win the lottery doesn't mean they are gonna win.  Tell me one reason why doge shoukd go to a $1 from where we are at here.  Market sucls and doge has 10,000 new coins minted every minute forever.  Demand needs to forever grow otherwise it will drop in value.  Supply and demand rules.  No doge shouldn't go to $1.
